From Sofia Rose comes a Fortune Records Omegaverse. Monsters and Humans live apart in this urban fantasy series centered around a record label, the diverse cast of Monsters and Humans that work there, and the mates they've found along the way.
Daisy and Cleo are set to go on tour…
They’ve packed their things into a storage unit and are ready to hit the road as Flora’s backup dancers. While this isn’t their first tour, it is their first time going on the road with Monsters. Things start to shift between the friends, and Daisy starts to recognize some more than friendly feelings for Cleo.
Tensions are high between Nereus and Maddox…
Being in the band for a famous rockstar like Sebastian has its perks. Nereus, a Kraken drummer, and Maddox, a Minotaur bassist, have known each other for years. When they both start to develop feelings for the same people, things start to get tense. Will their friendship last?
Only one tour bus…
When Sebastian and Flora can no longer stand sleeping apart, Nereus, Maddox, Daisy and Cleo decide that they will share only one tour bus. What could go wrong?
Iris is a cozy, low stakes, why choose romance packed with spice! The Fortune Records series are interconnected standalones. Please see the author's website for content warnings and the full tropes list.
Do you love monster romances with fated mates? Ever wanted there to be 4 mates instead of 2? Do you like when everyone is involved with each other? This is the book for you.
Sofia said this was the spiciest book of the series so far. And oh boy she was not kidding. I don't know how Sofia kept track of who was where and what parts were in which partner. 😂 I had to make some notes while reading. I would have liked to see some conversation between the MCs regarding their kinks before all the spicy fun. For example, the degradation, it feels like that's something that you would really need to be on the same page with your partner. And it just sort of happens. Some of the interactions and moments in the book felt a little high school to me. But I still really love the characters.
It was nice that each set was friends with each other for years before they moved on to a more sexual relationship. I've been interested in Nereus and Maddox since book 1 so I was super excited when I found out this was going to be their story. I honestly wasn't expecting the Alpha/Omega pair up that we got but it was very fun. Give me more rock star monster hotties!
༄˖°.🎶🐂🌊.ೃ࿔*:・ I don’t mean this in a bad way at all, but… this book felt like a LOT. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5)
Iris was the book in the Fortune Records series that I thought would be my favorite based purely on the description and tropes — and while I still enjoyed it, it ended up being my least favorite so far. Not because it’s bad, just because I felt like I connected more with the earlier books.
✎ᝰ. The Setup
This installment follows Daisy and Cleo, two backup dancer humans on tour, sharing close quarters with a band that includes a cinnamon-roll Minotaur and a stoic Kraken Alpha. Daisy’s main goal is to keep things running smoothly and her best friend out of trouble — but feelings complicate everything, especially when attraction starts flying in multiple directions.
The tour-bus setting adds a fun, chaotic found-family energy, and I liked how naturally the relationships formed within that pressure-cooker environment.
-`♡´-༝༚༝༚ Characters & Dynamics
There’s a lot happening here — four people, multiple bonds, different power dynamics — and I think that’s where this book lost me a bit. I’m fairly new to reading poly romances, and this one felt especially dense in terms of emotional and relational threads.
That said, I really liked individual pairings. Nereus and Daisy were easily my favorites of the dynamic. Nereus’s quiet intensity and Daisy’s softness balanced each other well, and their moments together stood out the most to me. (I also liked Daisy x Cleo a lot).
Maddox, the Minotaur, was sweet and caring — truly a cinnamon roll — but with so many dynamics competing for attention, it was hard for each relationship to feel fully fleshed out.
⋆✴︎˚。⋆ Romance & Spice
This book definitely delivers on cozy monster romance and omegaverse heat. There’s spice, there’s softness, and there’s plenty of intimacy — but for me, it sometimes felt like quantity over clarity. I wanted a little more space to sit with certain emotional beats before moving on to the next connection.
⋆。°·☁︎ Final Thoughts
I went into Iris expecting it to be my favorite of the series, and while it didn’t quite hit that mark for me, I still enjoyed it overall. It’s cozy, spicy, and clearly written with care — it just didn’t resonate with me as strongly as Snapdragon or Aster did.
If you’re more experienced with poly dynamics in romance, I think you’ll probably enjoy this one more than I did.
Tropes / What to Expect 🎶 Touring Music Setting 🖤 F/F/M/M Poly Romance 🌊 Kraken Alpha 🐂 Cinnamon Roll Minotaur 🔥 Omegaverse Heat 🫂 Found Family 🚌 Tour Bus Forced Proximity
Not a miss — just not my favorite. Still a solid, cozy addition to the Fortune Records universe.
This one made my poly-bisexual heart really happy. I loved the representation.
The smut is *chefs kiss* I did have to do a little mental math of where tentacles moved and where hands and other body parts ended up. But that's usually how why-choose books go.
I wish this one was longer. I really wanted more buildup. With all of the history between each pair and the way they all knew each other, I wish we could've gotten into it more.
I also want more of the world building. I want to learn more about the company and the issues between Humans and Monsters and why the issues started and get more into the record company itself.
From the moment we met Nereus and Maddox I’ve been dying for their book and it lived up to everything I wanted. Iris is definitely the spiciest book in the Fortune Records series so far. I’d be surprised if it wasn’t with these four characters. They have so much chemistry. I loved how there were moments between each respective pair of characters showing their individual relationships developing as well as some sinfully delicious moments of the four all together. Daisy and Cleo have a such a beautiful friendship and seeing them become more was so sweet. Plus that changing room scene? 🥵 I’m a bit obsessed with all four characters. I can’t wait to see what’s next in this world!
Absolutely love! I can't not get over how good this series is but this one?? Might be my favorite. (Okay I love them all equally) I absolutely loved the idea of them being on tour it was so cool. The characters in this book were absolutely amazing and I can't get over the relationship they all had. Cleo and Daisy the dancers just sounded so cool and I was like I would so be friends with the irl. I love how they were already friends leaning on more and their dynamic was amazing. Nereus and Maddox!? First off a Kracken and a Minotaur was literally so cool. I think tentacles would be super cool in real life. But not only are they Monsters they play instruments. I've always wanted to learn how to play instruments and every time I read a book like this I always get so inspired haha! Overall it was such an amazing experience and book I can't wait for more!!
Oh man, this book? This book? It completely stole my heart. Every time I think I’ve found my favorite in the Fortune Records series, Sofia Rose proves me wrong, and Iris just might be the best one yet (okay, I love them all, but still).
The whole “on tour” setting? Freaking genius. It added such a fun, electric vibe to the story, making everything feel even more alive. And the characters? Absolute perfection. I could not get enough of their dynamic—every relationship felt so natural, so full of chemistry, and just so right.
Cleo and Daisy? Icons. Their friendship was already so strong, and watching it deepen into something more was just beautiful. They’re the kind of people you’d want to be friends with in real life—cool, talented, and full of good energy. And then there’s Nereus and Maddox. A Kraken and a Minotaur?! First of all, incredible monster choices. Secondly, they’re both musicians?? Talk about unfair levels of cool.
And listen, the chemistry between all four of them? Unreal. Every individual relationship had its own unique spark, and then when they all came together? Whew. Spicy doesn’t even begin to cover it. The changing room scene alone? Yeah, I’ll be thinking about that one for a while.
This book made my bii heart so happy. The representation was beautiful, the romance was swoon-worthy, and the world of Fortune Records just keeps getting better and better. I don’t know how Sofia Rose does it, but I’m officially obsessed. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to devour the next book.🤭💘
"The past couple days have been the best of my life. I’ve always wanted people that I could call my own. "
This felt like a WILD ride. Not only is going on tour hard enough but try doing that while finding out you have mates. Multiple mates. And now you're all sharing a tour bus. I found all the characters fun in their own ways, although I did love Nereus the most. But I will always go for the Big grumpy Alpha soooo maybe that's a ME thing LOL My only downside to this book is the length. Its under 200 pages and honestly I just would have loved MORE of it. More interactions between the characters. More of that bantery back and forth with Nereus and Maddox. More information about the tour. More world building. As always I'm greedy and just want more more more. 🤣🩷
If you're looking for a super spicy, quick read with heats, knotting and tentacles, then you should definitely pick this bad boy up when it releases!
This is Fortune Records book 3, releasing on 9/27/2024.

Nereus has known that Maddox is his fated mate for years, yet he never acted on it, knowing how reluctant the minotaur feels to accept an alpha. When Flora's two gorgeous human dancers join the monsters of Sebastian's band on their tour, things suddenly start to change for the males. And Nereus recognises that both Cleo and Daisy could be their fated mates too. This was such a fun, cozy read. Four kind and caring characters all I to each other. Lots of spice, forced proximity on a not-so-tiny tour bus, tentacles, tiny dance outfits and a heat coming for the omegas... The perfect book to warm up on a cool fall afternoon. Pair it with your favourite hot beverage, a cozy blanket and you're all set for an amazing time 🥰
🐙"I now know that I have such a big family, and such a wonderful home with my mates."🐙

This series follows a world where monsters and humans don't coexist together until a new record label decides to pair up the species in the entertainment world. In this book we follow the main band as they go on tour performing at various monster and human establishments for the first time. Of course going on tour means spending quite a bit of time in close proximity to each other on the bus and that's when things start to heat up 😏
Iris was so much fun and such a great short and spicy ride! I definitely loved the characters in this one the most because of the emotional depth and growth they go through. I loved how they were able to help each other and love each other through it all including understanding themselves smexually. This story is Bi4Bi with MMFF why choose!
love why choose and poly romance and this was soooo good. This might be my favorite book of the series! First off, Cleo and Daisy were so cute together, I loved seeing how caring and protective Daisy was of her. And then when Nereus was taking care of her for a change, that was sooo good. I loved their dynamic with the boys, Maddox as a strong but submissive type, Daisy was a switch, Cleo as a Sub and Nereus as a Dom to everyone. Im such a sucker for a “good boy” or a princess/daddy dynamic.
The one tour aspect of the story was really cool too! I felt like it kept the story moving. The spice was amazing and all the domestic scenes really sweetened it up for me. I really loved it!
If Sofia writes it, I will read it, and it's always a good idea. The third book of the Fortune Records series tells the story of 4 fated mates, each set being long term friends before entering this partnership of four. The boys are such sweethearts, even Nereus with his alpha mentality, but especially Maddox (my sweet cow!). The girls are the perfect match for the boys, and their dynamics all line up perfectly. Props to Sofia for keeping track of all of the limbs and tentacles for 2 humans, a minotaur, and a kraken. I loved how happy Flora and Sebastian were for some of their best friends finding out they are mates.
Things to know: MMFF/Bi4Bi Why Choose Omegaverse Mintotaur, Kraken, & Humans Friends to Lovers Primal play Band on tour
I kept thinking of that one video where they say “Two best friends in a room, they might kiss.” Except this book has 4 friends, human and monster, and they all kiss each other.
It was like a bunch of my favorite romance genres all in one book. It was fluffy, cutesy, and the spicy parts were hot and STEAMY. And tentacles have MANY uses 😜
I enjoyed reading this book and I can’t wait for more!
This was so unbelievably good! I’m not usually one for this particular coupling, but not only did this read have my heart warming, but it’s the first book I’ve used instead of *corn. Yeah, yeah TMI… don’t care.
These girls are the perfect set up and characters for a sapphic story as it is, then throw in an alpha with tentacles and a flippin’ Minotaur?! Yep. Sold. Hits every single kink I had been hoping for and I’m so happy with the ending.
The characters are all so different and the loving and caring ending for sweet Cleo was perfection!
Nothing beats Snapdragon, but this comes so close!! Cleo is such a little cinnamon roll, Daisy is such a protector, and then there's Nereus the Considerate Alpha and Maddox the Caretaking Sub
Ugh, I love them so much, but what I loved most is the pacing of their relationship. It felt pretty natural, not too quick or rushed. I also appreciated Flora and Sebastian still making appearances!! Our original babies

⭐️ 3 - I don't know if I'm going to continue with this series. I LOVED the first one, but the second and third just fell flat. I adore the premise, but it felt rushed and not fully thought out. I was constantly confused about how the characters felt, in the first half I was so confused as to if some characters were dating or just friends. And one of them had valid reservations for not wanting a mate and when he finds them he's perfectly fine with it and the point is just dropped. Once the characters confessed their feelings it got a bit better, but it was just meh. Nothing really happened, it was just them on tour, doing nothing.
Sofia Rose has truly done it again. The wanting??? The mate bond??? The scenes??? The Omegaverse??? Obsessed. If you too want to read something until 2am too, this is for you!
2.5/5. This was…probably one of the more strange books I’ve read. It was not necessarily bad, but it wasn’t good either. Would I personally recommend it? Probably not in a million years because I’ve got other really good books to recommend. Anyways, I read it. I’ll probably cringe at myself in embarrassment for reading later down the line, but regardless. Toodles! 😘💋🫶
2.5/5. Yeah this is still some of the weirdest literature i’ve ever read
