Content This book is meant for 18+ readers. It's a mafia romance with explicit content where both leads are placed in many morally gray situations. Please read at your own discretion.
I absolutely loved the first book and loved the dynamic between Alessandro and Elyse so I was pretty excited to read this. I ended up disappointed instead. Something about the story and writing fell very flat for me. I didn’t feel like I was reading or a part of the story and felt like I was just being told what was going on with little detail or explanation. Everything felt rushed but also dragged out? Every side character that was suspicious ended up being ok and the real “villains” (there was no real villain) was someone you never heard of.
I feel like the second book wasn’t needed and all could’ve been wrapped up in the first one.
The best part was the end chapters of Alessandro’s POV from the first book because his flirtatious behavior when he first met Elyse was the best part. A man who recites poetry and compares you to the sun and moon! ALESSANDRO IS A LOVER BOY!
4.5 ⭐ This sequel was amazing. I don't think so I have ever read a mafia romance like this one. Yes, at some points it felt little boring but over all it was good.
I absolutely loved this sequel to Diavolo! It took me by surprise in the best way possible—definitely not what I expected, but the execution was flawless, and the plot was crafted with precision.🤗
A huge thank you to the author, T. A. Fan, for giving me the opportunity to read Angelo!🫶
**This review is spolier - free but does contain hints about the book's themes and character development**
🏛 What to Expect:
✔️ Mafia × Political Intrigue 🕶️💼 ✔️ Dark Golden Retriever MMC (obsessed.) 🖤🔥 ✔️ Stubborn Badass FMC (Queen behavior.) 👑💅 ✔️ “My wife” (enough said.) 💍❤️🔥 ✔️ Touch her and die (yes, please.) ⚰️😤 ✔️ Found family (because blood isn't everything or is it?) 🤝💖
The story picks up right after the events of Diavolo, throwing Elyse into the aftermath of a major relevation, which for a solid few moments, absolutely shocked me. The only thought I had was... I need book two. Right now.😩
And Angelo did not disappoint. This book is all about trust, growth, and the ruthless power games that come with survival. Alessandro and Elyse prove—yet again—that they are the ultimate power couple. Their minds? Insanely sharp. Their bond? Unstoppable. The way the author weaved in every character’s motivations and clever strategies? Absolutely brilliant.🥹🥹
But beyond the mind games and intricate plotting, what truly stole my heart was the way they love each other. Their devotion isn’t just passionate—it’s all-consuming. They would burn together before letting the world rip them apart. Alessandro pulling away, their growing distance, and Elyse’s sheer determination to hold them together made their relationship feel so real and raw.🩷
Because at the end of the day, communication is everything—and when that’s paired with unwavering trust and love? They become invincible. Their plans, their execution, their resilience? Chef’s kiss.😍
☆Alessandro Vitale: And speaking of chef’s kisses… let’s talk about Alessandro Vitale—one of the best MMCs I’ve ever read. The way he loves Elyse? The way he’d give her paradise even in the depths of hell? I swooned. His struggles and sacrifices made my heart ache in the best way possible but it also made me love him more. He’s utterly selfless and devoted when it comes to her, and every single time he opened his mouth, I was either blushing, kicking my feet, or both.🥰🥰🤭
"You chase away the dark, and I would do anything to keep you from harm’s way.”
☆Dr. Elyse Vitale: And then we have Dr. Elyse Vitale—or as I like to call her, the Queen. She was already a force in Diavolo, but Angelo solidified her as an all-time favorite. Her love for Alessandro could withstand storms. Her belief in them, her willingness to walk through hell with him—it was breathtaking. Watching her navigate the tangled web of allies and enemies with intelligence, resilience, and an unyielding heart was nothing short of amazing.🥹🥹💓
"Your love changed me in ways I didn’t know I needed. It belongs to a devil now. A lifetime together wouldn’t be enough for me."
I also loved seeing the growth of the side characters, especially Mari and Valentina. But no spoilers—just know that some of those moments had me gasping.😙
Where Diavolo focused on power struggles and a slow, all consuming intense romance, Angelo dives headfirst into high-stakes political intrigue, masterful strategy, and the brutal cost of survival. And yet, through all the chaos, the romance remains electric.🔥⚡️
This book had me on edge from start to finish. I devoured every page, desperate for more. And those last few chapters? Real. Freaking. Crumbs.🤫 (IYKYK I can't say much.)
'The peace between them was real. Their love had never felt brighter.'
Final thoughts? Angelo is an absolute must-read for those who love mafia romance, some political intrigue, utterly obsessed MMC and last but not the least, my favourite, badass FMC.😉
From the first page, it picks up right where the previous book left off, throwing us straight into the chaos, the schemes, and the ever-evolving trust between our dear couple. Their journey isn’t just about survival—it’s about growth, love, and the slow unraveling of their most vulnerable sides.
I’ve always been drawn to books filled with violence, unexpected twists, and high-stakes games, but this book? It holds a special place in my heart, and that’s entirely because of Alice’s writing. Her storytelling is pure artistry—she spins a web that appears deceptively simple at first but becomes more intricate with every chapter, pulling you deeper into its grasp.
And, of course, the banter between El and Alessio? Perfection.
Elyse truly came into her own in this book. I loved seeing her embrace her darkness, no longer trying to suppress it but instead wielding it as her strength. And Alessio… I have been down bad for him since the very beginning, but this book? It cemented my obsession. His cunning nature, the way he operates in shadows most people don’t even realize exist—that’s what makes him irresistible and dangerous. His obsession, devotion, and unwavering need to give Elyse everything? That’s what made me fall even harder.
But let’s talk about the thrill of this book—so many secrets, so many betrayals. You never know who to trust, and that constant edge-of-your-seat feeling? It’s like a mafia thriller mystery, and I loved every second of it.
I completely understood Elyse’s frustration—why does she have to fight tooth and nail to get information out of Alessio? After a point, I was just like, Dude, enough with the secrets! And yet, somehow, it’s impossible to stay mad at him. He’ll say one thing, do one thing, and suddenly, I’m melting. He knows exactly how to win me over every single time.
Also, Dear Alice, I have some very serious questions: What did you put in this book? Where can I find more of it? And, most importantly, did you base Alessio on a real person? If yes, is he single? Can I get his number? I wouldn’t mind joining the Italian mafia if it means finding a man like him. Just saying.
Speaking of Alessio—he basically did everything possible just to free Elyse, and I swear, I fell even harder. The lengths this man goes to for her, the way he protects her, fights for her—it’s intoxicating.
And oh my god, the rollercoaster this book took me on. My brain is still reeling from everything, and I haven’t even read the epilogue yet. But I can already say—it was so, so, so good.
That ending? Exactly what I wanted. They fought through everything for their well-deserved happy ending, and I loved every second of it.
Angelo picks up right where we left off in Diavolo as Elyse gets some very shocking news that shakes her world to the core. If you haven’t read Diavolo yet, stop reading this review, finish the book and then come back.
I know you’re dying to know so I’m putting it in spoilers for anyone who was dying like me.
This book was all about growth, both together and in their power. As a couple, Alessio and Elyse are a force to be reckoned with, each other’s ultimate ride or die. But as their physical distance shrinks, they seem to drift apart emotionally. Self-doubt clouds their love, making them question everything. Learning to trust each other, communicate, and make hard choices is what ultimately molds them into the power couple they were meant to be.
“How could I ever leave when my heart is no longer mine? It belongs to the devil now. A lifetime together wouldn’t be enough for me.”
Alessio, with his heart of gold, definately grew a little darker this time as he struggled with his new roles as leader AND husband. But his heart is still in the right place, and I really felt for his conflicts. Juggling what is expected of him as a leader with what he wants to be for Elyse is not easy. The sacrifices he makes for her and the way he puts his own heart on the line had me feeling everything. His poetic words had me melting and swooning just like last time.
And Elyse….ugh I was so proud of her. Her growth, her self-sacrifice, her clarity in knowing exactly what she wanted. She steps up, ready to be the queen to Alessio’s king, and it was really cool to watch her claim that role after struggling with it in Diavolo.
“God willing, I might live forever.” Elyse offered him a small smile. “Then I’ll love you forever, Alessio.”
One thing to note is that this book is very plot heavy. While we get romantic moments and see Alessio and Elyse’s relationship deepen, the heart of the story lies in the politics and schemes of mafia life. The power struggles, the strategies, the lies. Everything kept me on the edge of my seat. The plot was so well planned, every move intentional, every twist sharp.
In a world where everything is against them, Alessio and Elyse put each other first. They fight for their love, and that is what makes this story so powerful.
Wow. Just… wow. After picking my heart off the floor at the end of the last book, I had all but convinced myself that the ending had to be a mistake—some kind of cruel, emotional sleight of hand. Thankfully, I was right! This installment delivered the redemption, passion, and emotional payoff I was desperately hoping for. Where Elyse once hesitated—torn between the pull of her love for Alessandro (Alessio) and the darkness of the world he inhabits—this time, she doesn’t flinch. Her devotion to him, to them, is unwavering. And Alessio? If you thought he was intense before, prepare to fall even harder. His obsession with Elyse, his fierce love and relentless drive to protect her, radiates off the page. His greatest flaw is his instinct to shield her, even at the cost of distance, though this is a heartbreaking testament to just how deep his love runs. But Elyse was ready to walk through fire for him, to stand shoulder to shoulder through every storm. Watching them grow, stumble, and ultimately realize that honesty, trust, and unconditional love were their true strength? Chef’s kiss. And let’s talk about those mafia plotlines? The tension, the backstabbing, the strategy—it was like playing emotional chess with knives. The twists had my head spinning in the best way. I loved how Elyse became a real partner in crime (literally), bringing her intelligence and even her own brand of darkness into play. The fact that she’s a strategic mastermind? Iconic. The author weaves a beautiful balance of tender, heart-melting moments with raw, high-stakes intensity. This book isn’t just about love—it’s about healing, about choosing each other through the chaos, about building something unshakable in a world designed to tear them apart. And those four short epilogues from Alessio’s POV were absolute perfection. The cherry on top of an already decadent, emotionally rich story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
He changed his illegitimate business to legal for her because she doesn’t want the mafia life! 😭😭😭 THE WAY HE LOVES HER—INSANE.
This is the second book in the Devil’s Playground Duet and the much-awaited HEA for Alessandro & Elyse.
The book picks up right where Diavolo ended. Elyse learns that her father-in-law has died, and now Alessandro has to take his place as the mafia head. But it’s not easy—traitors lurk everywhere, and rival mafia clans are desperate to claim his position. But this Diavolo is not alone. He has his wife, who is both his heart and his brain.
Elyse—OMG, I love this woman. She is so strong and intelligent. The way she was giving Alessandro ideas to take down their rivals had me enchanted. And their love? Absolutely epic. The way they worked together as husband and wife was mesmerizing to read.
This duet is going straight to my forever favorites. I’m sad because their story is ending, but I’m also happy because, after everything they’ve been through, they deserve this HEA.
And, and… they have a boy! And maybe a cute little girl too?! 😭😭💗💗💗 I’m so happy for them! I absolutely loved this book, and we have four epilogues in Alessandro’s POV. We get to read about his first meeting with Elyse, when he fell in love with her, and their spicy scenes on a yacht 👀🌚. It was so fun to read, and now I’m so excited for the next book by this amazing author.
And I would absolutely recommend this duet to everyone.
Spice: 4/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Tropes:
-He’s a devil who makes hell into paradise for her -She’s an angel who’d crawl through an inferno for him -Mafia x political intrigue -Touch her and d!e -Found family -My wife -Plot-heavy spice -Dark golden retriever MMC -BDSM & toys
With the capo gone, Alessandro has to take over the position from his dead father. With power comes responsibility and new burdens. Alessandro and Elyse have to unite to build an empire that befits them while wiping out enemies left and right. And identifying foes from friends. In this game of survival, will they be able to turn their hell into a paradise and give themselves a life that even angels will envy?
Political intrigue in a mafia romance. I never noticed this before, but really, the mafia is political in most ways. But this book made me ponder about it.
I loved how they allowed zero chance of miscommunication or anyone or anything to get between them. They made me believe that a relationship with complete trust and honesty can survive anything that is thrown at them. I loved that Alessandro treated Elyse as his equal by always involving her in the decision-making and everything and not like a trophy wife.
I absolutely love the fact that Elyse has Alessandro wrapped tightly around her fingers; she'd say jump, and he'd ask how high. He's so in love; I definitely see how the dark golden retriever is endearing in a dark romance. This book was a breath of fresh air. She put her feelings and heart under lock and key, but he wears his heart on his sleeve, but only for her, though, and I adore this about him.
The fact that when it came to Alessandro, Elyse was all my morals be damned; I'll do anything to protect my man made me like her more. She really was a refreshing FMC, not born in the mafia, but she was so strong she could overcome any storm thrown her way, and she could protect herself and always held her own. I loved that Alessandro kept waxing his cheesy poetry throughout their love life; he never changed.
They really do balance each other out. Alessandro has a way with words in a way that Elyse doesn't. The epilogue was everything. I also loved the final chapters; we were able to see what Alessio was thinking throughout book one.
This book was a trip! While last book was all fun, steamy scenes, and games (mostly), this one felt a little like Game of Thrones with the politicking occurring.
ANGELO starts where the first one ends - immediately opening fter a major death in the family that upends Elyse (FMC) and Alessandro (MMC)’s plans and throws them further into the middle of a messy mafia web. Throughout it all, they have to navigate the dangerous mafia world they are both apart of while also navigating their new and deepening relationship.
This book was ride, but it was still a good escape at the end of the day. Sure, the mafia politics felt like a lot to follow when all you want is for your brain to turn off, but it wasn’t overwhelming. At no point was I sure where the plot was going next, which kept me interested and reading.
I came into this book expecting more of the same as the first book, which is why I think I was a bit more disappointed. I was looking for a fun, sexy escape (with danger), but this was more danger with a side of sexy. Not bad, but not what I expected.
Still, the book kept me interested and reading. I enjoyed watching our FMC and MMC develop a truly deeper bond, and seeing how it all neatly resolves in the end. I look forward to future books by TA Fan!
4/5 ✨ Tropes: Mafia romance ✅ Arrange marriage ✅ Nurse x Mafia boss ✅ Second part in a secuel ✅ Mafia war ✅ 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
In the first book, after that fateful night when Alessandro arrives at Elyse’s doorstep wounded, they marry under challenging circumstances. Still, they try to figure out how to make their relationship work, grounded in trust and loyalty.
Now, Alessandro Vitale is the Capo of the Cosa Nostra, and Elyse Vitale is his not-so-dutiful wife but also his backbone. After his father’s death, the couple finds themselves in the midst of a war, struggling to distinguish between foes and friends. From her grandfather—the heavyweight in the circle—to her very suspicious stepsister-in-law, Elyse navigates the complexities of being a Capo’s wife.
Alessandro promised her a paradise amidst their hell. He works tirelessly, cultivating strategies and putting himself in danger time and again to make his wife—the love of his life—happy. But can one truly escape the Cosa Nostra? Not likely.
This book is a testament to the author’s creativity. The way she weaves together events, characters, loyalties, relationships, and side stories is commendable. This work is truly a piece of genius art.
After the shocking ending of Diavolo, leaving you with the intrigue, the doubt cleared up, we once again have Elise and Alessandro in this fascinating second installment, more exciting than ever, where Elise develops a much stronger character with a love for her husband greater than she would like to admit. Alessandro, for his part, leaves aside his carefree role as future boss and becomes darker and more determined to lead and show what he is capable of with his queen, no matter what, overcoming obstacles and problems that arise. The development and the plot keep you in suspense until you reach the end, with their power games, sometimes funny, sometimes cruel. What stands out most is the immense love they have for each other, it will not leave you indifferent. I loved the resolution of the story. Don't miss it....
Her: “Have fun setting the world on fire, husband.” Him: ”I will lay the ashes at your feet, wife.” Thanks to TA Fan for sending me an ARC of Angelo, for giving me the chance to read it and give my honest opinion.❤❤❤
Oh, and T.A. Fan has done it again! This was wonderful. Book 1 was more romance heavy. This one instead is very plot heavy. If you want a truly mafia romance, this is for you. I love that although the romance was present, it took a bit of a step back (a tiny one) to make the mafia world more upfront and let me tell you I was in!!! It was dark and gritty and full of mischief and distrust. I love this book didn't take the "violence for shock value" route, most "darkbromance/mafia" books now used, but that every scene had a purpose. That T.A. took their time to craft a well thought out plot and executed it perfectly. And speaking about something done great... the romance? Sandro and Ely were goals!!! Their relationship just got better in this one, and I love it. With two books, TA Fan has become a new fave, and this series is proof of why.
Thank you so much for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
After that cliffhanger that broke heart I went on and found this on Booksprout and it repaired my heart back to pieces that I never knew where there.
The relationship between the characters had its spectacles and fights but this was not the best book out of the duet I think book one was.
Elyse was easily favourite person in the book I love the fmc’s backstory and her buildup from going from strong to stronger but I benefited from that because she showed me to not let anyone get in the sway of getting something you worked hard for.
Luca was stubborn throughout this duet which helped get me a hard head throughout this book I couldn’t wait to read more about what really happened to him.
This was an epic conclusion to the duet even if it repaired my heart throughout the book it still had its challenges I wish it 2nd person so I could get a better read on it.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Angelo is the second story in the Devil’s Playground which is quite suspenseful and a page turning mafia romance. The story is amazingly written, well balanced with action/romance and beautifully executed by T.A. Fan. Angelo follows the journey of Elyse and Alessandro. The characters are well developed and phenomenally executed throughout the story. The chemistry between Alessandro and Elyse is absolutely breathtaking and undeniably irresistible. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these two characters as well as witnessing their story come to fruition throughout the book. I found the characters to be entertaining, interesting and intriguing at the same time. I would absolutely recommend this book for anyone to checkout and give it a read. I’m looking forward to reading more amazing romances from this author in the future.

Mafia romance 🔫 Surgeon / Mafia boss 🖤 Dark golden retriever MMC 🐕 Touch her and ☠️ Found family 🏡 Arranged / forced marriage 💍 “My wife” 🫠
Book 1 ended on quite the cliffhanger, and book 2 picks up right where it left off.
I wanted more setting detail and just details in general. Some of the dialogue in the beginning seemed a bit off. The whole thing felt disjointed. There was too much packed in with not enough details - should have been more focused on one conflict.
Overall, the flow and pacing was just off for me, and in many places, I felt like Alessio deserved better. This story had so much potential but fell flat.
My favorite part was getting Alessio’s POV from book 1 at the end. I wanted more of that throughout - the pining, the tension, the forbidden romance, and the utter devotion he had for her.
@tafanwrites has done it again! This was wonderful. Book 1 was more romance heavy. This one instead was very plot heavy. If you want a truly mafia romance, this is it for you. I love that although the romance was present, it took a bit of a step back (a tiny one) to make the mafia world more upfront and let me tell you I was in!!! It was dark and gritty and full of mischief and distrust. I love this book. I didn’t take the “dark for shock value” route, most “darkromance/mafia” books now used, but that every scene had a purpose. That T.A. took their time to craft a well thought out plot and executed it perfectly. And speaking about something done great… the romance? Alessio and Ely were goals!!! Their relationship just got better in this one, and I love it. With two books, TA Fan has become a new fave, and this series is proof of why
This is the stunning conclusion of Elise and Alessandro's story.
What you can look forward to: 🪽he’s a devil who makes hell into paradise for her 🖤she’s an angel who’d crawl through an inferno for him 🪽mxfia x political intrigue 🖤 “touch her and d!e” 🪽found family 🖤 “my wife” 🪽 plot-heavy spice 🖤 dark golden retriever mmc 🪽 bdsm & toys
Their love continues to burn hot for each other but Elise's constant worry for Alessandro's life keeps her from admitting it out loud. They are faced with many tests and trials - both to their relationship and their leadership within the Cosa Nostra.
One things that remains constant: Alessandro's commitment, loyalty and devotion to his wife. The sacrifices he makes for her are so selfless, that he's willing to suffer his whole life if it means she will be safe and happy.
I received a free ARC of this book, and this review is only my opinion
okay wtf was this book? OMFG IT WAS INSANEEEEEE!!! dude if you've read the first book then i assume you would know that the ending was a bit shocking 💀 and after reading the first chp of this book i finally let out a sigh of relief like GWADDDD I LEGIT THOUGHT HE WAS DEAD😭 ahem* anyways...LIKE I SAID WHAT WAS THIS BOOK...HOW CAN IT BE SOOOO GOOD, ADDICTIVE & OBVIOUSLY *SPICY* LOL💀✨️ THEIR DYNAMIC IS INSANE 🔥🔥🔥
HE IS THE STANDARD✨️😭 HE WOULD LEGIT DO ANYTHING FOR HIS WIFE👑 (aaggghhh i want someone like him😭)
sooo would i recommend this book to you? A HUNDRED TIMES *YESSSSSSS*!!!!!!!
p.s. one more thing which i rlly like about them are their BICKERINGS lolll
I liked this book more than the first book, but I wish the climax would have been, more? Felt like it fell flat, but the book overall was good. I love Elyse and Alessandro's relationship. I do wish it showed more development from start to finish, but the end relationship made me happy. Alessandro's love for Elyse made me swoon, but the communication problems throughout both books sort of made my eye twitch sometimes. Like ok, don't talk about EVERYTHING, but don't just not talk about anything important at all. All in all, I have a love hate relationship with this duet. ALSO, the freaking epilogues from Alessio's POV were CHEFS KISS!!! I wish it was incorporated into both books with his pov, it would've made the story feel a lot less one sided for sure.
The sequel had me binging like a maniac. This was such a fun ride. Unlike the last book, this one focuses more on the internal mafia family wars. It felt like reading a modern day game of thrones plot (without the dragons and wars obvs!). I enjoyed every bit.
I loved how Elyse was shown as an equal to Alessandro in all ways, sometimes even outsmarting him. The power couple had it all—sexiness, beautiful brains, and a cunning trait that made them complement each other well. Their love for each other is so pure. I can't wait for more from this series so we get to see these two in action again.
Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC for this story.
The cliffhanger from book one had me constantly thinking about those too and I LOVE the ending she gave the MC’s omg 😍
This book dives deeper into the mmc his world and the fmc gets very well adapted to it, theres alot of plotting, planning and twists you definitely didn’t see coming!
And ofcourse the romance was absolutely on point but how could it not be those two are 🤌🏻chess kiss*
The author really knows how to keep her readers pulled to the story and to keep us guessing.
I absolutely recommend it to any mafia romance book love it was amazing and just a MUST read!
Tropes ✨Mafia romance ✨Italian mafia ✨Plots ✨Spice ✨Fun banter
Oh, the plot!!! It’s so good! Action & intrigue with the good & the bad of the Sicilian Mafia, trying to figure out who all the players of this intricate real life (well, fictional technically) game of chess!!
El & Al’s story continues as they navigate married life after these enemies have truly become lovers (& yet neither has said the “L” word yet!). But life is far from rose tinted as they begin to see, if anything it’s stained blood red! This is the Cosa Nostra!
I loved how TA Fan has woven the story, pulling in so many twists and turns along the way. And the spice!! *chefs 💋. Highly recommend this book, as well as Diavolo (book one) so go take a little look!!
If you loved book one, Diavolo, as much as I did, then I bet you’ll enjoy Angelo! T.A. Fan once again hooked me in and had me eating up this book to see what became of Elyse and Alessandro’s marriage and dreams of the future. I was completely caught up in the dangerous web of secrets and plots the Vitales had to unwind in their efforts to create a safe and stable life. With potential enemies at every turn, making it to the beautiful epilogue was worth every bit of uncertainty. I especially adored the bonus chapters from Alessio’s POV! I will definitely be keeping an eye out for any future books from this author!
I’m terrible at reviewing things so bear with me, and I’m also kind of biased because I read this before it was a published duet, nonetheless Angelo was amazing. It got me all tingly, Alessio and Elyse will always have my heart I’m pretty sure if you looked into my chest you’d find a hole the shape of this series I’m not gonna list off the events because spoilers aren’t fun but it was sweet spicy everything a girl needs to fill the ever growing hole in her chest. Im yapping now but I think you get the gist of it. It was great, thank you for reading this!!
I’m so happy they got their happy ending 😭 especially after everything they had to suffer through. Ugh this duet had the romance I crave to read in books. Love how everything came together and absolutely loved the few pov chapters of alessio we got at the end. The last one being really spicy 😍 basically this was everything I wanted in a romance book. I’m so happy the author is writing two more books in this series and I believe it’s a different couple. I can’t wait to read them!!!!! Author is definitely one to look out for 🩷
Here I thought Angelo will be lighter than Diavolo but I can never be wrong! A bit hasty resolution for every rising action but finally all conflicts have been addressed.
If you’re into: - we die together - heavy plot - King and Queen rightfully ruling their kingdom - secrets and truths - betrayal and loyalties tested..
This is your book.
“Turn this hell into paradise and give me a life that even angels will envy”
Truthfully I was bored. I skimmed through most of the ending of the book. Even the romance aspect fell flat to me in this book. I feel like a bunch of information was constantly dumped onto me as a reader and multiple characters kept getting introduced for not very important reasons. Some of the book felt very unserious and just dense. I’m hesitant on even finishing the book because I’m literally SO BORED.
