Cove Sullivan’s life has always felt like a curse, but nothing compares to Moonville, Ohio. What begins as a dull ghost tour with his family through an abandoned tunnel quickly becomes a nightmare when Cove and Sara trigger a curse that traps the town and everyone in a twisted, evolving 1980s horror time loop.
Monsters roam the foggy streets, cursed cassette tapes lure victims to their doom, and the Lavender Lady, a vengeful ghost, holds the town in her deadly grip. To escape, Cove and Sara must uncover the town’s darkest secrets, confront the horrors lurking in forgotten places, and destroy the curse before it consumes them. But Moonville doesn’t let go easily because some curses don’t die. - Book 1 of the Liminal Paradox Series
Damon Robi is the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde of storytelling, seamlessly shifting between heart-pounding thrillers, eerie horror, and the occasional dive into mystery, love, and adventure. A Florida native, Damon has been spinning stories since the age of 13, always drawn to the dark, the twisted, and the beautifully strange.
When he’s not lost in the worlds he creates, Damon is navigating the chaos of single fatherhood, raising two incredible boys while somehow finding time to write, read, and fuel his creative fire. His love for horror runs deep, but he’s never been one to stick to a single genre—his stories have a habit of wandering into unexpected places, much like the characters he brings to life.
If you’re into tales that leave you breathless, haunted, or just a little unsettled, Damon’s books are for you. Follow his journey on social media, where he shares glimpses of his writing process, behind-the-scenes inspirations, and the occasional life update. Who knows? You might just become the spark for his next great story.
Welcome to Moonville felt like a jumble of half-baked horror ideas crammed into 118 pages with no real development. The story jumped from one trope to the next so fast that nothing ever had time to breathe. I didn’t even have time to care about any of the characters — they just felt like names on a page. Instead of being scary or memorable, it all came across as rushed, shallow, and messy. By the end, it felt more like a rough draft than a finished book.
Welcome to Moonville felt like a modern-day Goosebumps, but for adults, and I loved it! It was fast-paced, super easy to get into, and short enough that I finished it in one sitting, just like I used to with Goosebumps books growing up. There was constant action from the first chapter, and barely a moment to breathe, exactly how I like my spooky reads. The characters felt really realistic too. They acted like actual teenagers, panicking, making rash decisions, trying to figure things out without really knowing what they were doing, and just doing their best to survive. It made everything feel more authentic and kept me rooting for them the whole way through. One thing I especially appreciated was how the story dropped hints and foreshadowed other characters and monsters that might pop up in future books. It gave the world this bigger, creepier feeling that has me excited to see what’s coming next. If you want something quick, thrilling, and a little nostalgic (but still mature), Welcome to Moonville is definitely worth picking up. I’m already looking forward to the next one!
Robi’s engaging storytelling draws readers into the mysterious town of Moonville... where shadows whisper and the supernatural feels alive. The story pulls you right in and doesn't let you catch a breath as the pacing is jam-packed.
The story follows a young protagonist who discovers the town’s secret past, encountering strange events and unusual townspeople hiding long-forgotten mysteries. Robi’s writing is vivid and immersive, bringing the characters to life with beautiful descriptions and a nostalgic touch that feels like a classic ghost story. I look forward to the next book!
Damon Robi knocked it out of the park with this book. I picked it up not being the biggest fan of the horror genre. Books or movies. Yet Cove and her adventure through the town stuck in the weird version of the 80s kept me reading and made it difficult to put down. I’m legitimately looking forward to the continuation of the series.
