Very average 40k story. Nice bit of Inter-Ordos conflict but mostly just banging and crashing.

My first foray into the Warhammer book community written by a man I consider a friend to me in the writing world (we used to write on the same website). A very good read and a nice development of characters. It also benefits from getting better with each page that you turn with a solid ending. My only issues with the text stemmed from figuring out the Grey Knights and their approach to honor. Its a bit frustrating that their honor is really their undoing but that's probably the point. I would certainly like to read future novels along this path as long as that is toned back just a bit.

Another great tale from David Annandale. Orks, Grey Knights, and daemons, what more could you want? Inquisitors? Grizzled Imperial veterans? Got them too, ground battles, space battles, it's got it all. Very good book.
