i wont be rating this since i dnfed at 70% but for my own records i'll be ranting about it since this literally only book #2 i have EVER dnfed in my entire life...(since this is a reader space...im sorry authors if you see this...i never intended for yall to see this kind of content, nor shared any of this publicly anywhere else)
okay okay for one: tell me this isn’t cringe right?
The city sounds are all around us, but it isn't loud enough up here to drown out the sound of our bodies slapping together.
"Just like that. So good."
"Are you going to come?" I ask, reaching around and finding her clit. "Now, be a good girl and give me what I want." I drive into her again.
"Oh God," she moans, so I pick up my pace.
My thrusts are now punishing as I furiously rub her clit. "I'm coming," she pants as her pussy tightens, and my balls do the same.
"Good girl, come all over my cock." And she does, tightening so hard around my dick I almost see stars. I'm quick to follow her over the edge.
Afterward, I place my shirt down on the gravel, and we sit together on the rooftop, the cool night air brushing against our skin. Molly's head rests against my shoulder, her breathing soft and steady.
I tilt my head, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "You good?"
She hums, her voice sleepy and content. "I could go again. Give me fifteen minutes."
"Isn't that supposed to be my line?" I chuckle softly, running my fingers through her hair.
"Yeah," she says, turning slightly to look up at me. Her face is suddenly serious. "You know that..." She winces, stopping.
"That Dane can't know," I finish for her.

that’s it thats the sex! its the "are you going to come?" for me...🙂
& then like this time 👇👇👇
My legs almost buckle beneath me as she pushes forward, my cock now hitting the back of her throat.
Placing my hands on the back of her head, I start to fuck her throat in earnest. Her small hands grab my ass as I do. Nothing in the world has ever felt this good. The way her throat contracts every time I push farther in makes stars burst in my eyes.
I'm going to come if I don't stop. Which is something I want to do, but not in her mouth. I want to see my cum drip out of her freshly fucked pussy.
I pull back with a pop, my wet dick hard and ready for more.
"Get naked, and then I want you on the bed,
Hex."
She follows my commands, stripping her dress off and getting naked on the bed.
"Spread your legs. Let me see you."
A soft blush colors her face, but she does what I ask, spreading her knees apart until her pussy is on full display.
"Fuck," I groan, taking my dick in my hand and stroking myself. "You look good enough to eat." So I do. I pull her parted legs, making it so she's almost hanging off the bed, then I drop to the floor and bury myself in her cunt.
I devour her.
Feed off her essence.
Lick and suck her clit until she's a quivering mess, her desire dripping down her thighs.
"I need to fuck you. Need to feel this wet pussy clinging to my dick as you come."
"So fuck me already."
I press myself against her heat.
"Condom?"
"No. I'm on the pill."
Fuck yeah.
Despite seeing how wet she is, it's got nothing on how it feels to rub my crown over her drenched skin. I swirl the head over her clit, then at her en-trance, collecting the moisture.
Her hips wiggle at the sensation, and I run myself down to where she needs me most. I can't wait to sink inside her, so I don't. I slam into her hard and fast, and she gasps when I bottom out inside her.
A moan escapes her mouth, and I pull my dick out until the top hovers just outside of her.
"Please, Wilde."
I swirl my head around her opening again, pushing just the tip in. Her greedy pussy quivers, trying to suck me in, but I don't let her. I just continue to torture her.
"Please what, Hex?"
"Please stop torturing me."
"Only if you watch us."
I meet her stare.

..its like their 3rd time & they bring up condoms…when he fucked her raw with absolutely NO mention of any of that the first two times?? but also..."feed off her essence"?????? 🤢🥴🤮 plssss no.
but tbh the BIGGESTTT reason for me personally i think is these are the tropes that it’s advertised as…
Why you will love this book:
Brother's Best Friend
Enemies to Lovers
Hockey
Forced Proximity
Vegas Wedding
Secret Marriage

& like there is literally no interactions that make the fmcs brother his best friend. he’s just his teammate basically. & the vegas secret wedding right? it doesn’t even happen til after 60%!! of a FIVE HUNDRED PAGE BOOK THE FUCK!!!? & there’s like this whole mysterious dark prologue back story to this girls trauma…THAT WE HARDLY EVER HEAR ABOUT NOR DOES THE GUY KNOW *ANYTHING* about either!! & like i argued with myself that maybe its cause i just got off a high from literally 5 STRAIGHT FIRE ASS BOOKS YALL & so anything would be hard to live up to them but nah...like...that just justifies when its a GIANT OBVIOUS LEAP from amazing writing to....cringe...it’s honestly so poorly written i can’t even…

this was my honest & in the moment reactions...& i am always one who sticks by my reviews & ratings BASED. OFF. VIBES. so i felt i owed it to at least myself...to leave my rant where i will be able to access it for when i inevitably forget about this in less than 24 hrs. 💀 baha thanks for coming to my tedtalk✌️

(ps...i tried to be cool & add the screenshots but i keep getting errors so whatever...insert the regina george level tantrum i already threw over all this here)

I'm dnf because I'm just not seeing Molly a likable character. It's taking forever to see growth (seasons go by as sections of time) and I just don't feel chemistry. I am half through and I thought by now I'd know something about past trauma that is slightly hinted in the beginning as panic attacks due to some trauma in the past Maybe I could understand her immature like banter when Hudson seems so likable and understanding.

So I'm bored 😴

Ugh. I can not recommend this book. It probably could’ve been cut down to 200 pages instead of 500+. I DNF’d with 100 pages to go and at that point I was skimming a bit. I wanted to DNF much sooner but tried to stick it out. 200+ pages in and literally nothing was happening. It’s 319 pages in when one big thing happens. And it’s stupid/out of left field and they play it pretty cool. This is when I started skimming some. Then with about 100 pages to go we find out what her “issue” is. And the big reveal was very underwhelming to me. Based on how built up it was I was expecting something more.

I felt like the author tried too hard for things to be deep but it was just annoying and super repetitive. She owes her brother her life, she has some trauma she’s holding onto, she’s never really had a family, she thinks Hudson is super attractive/ the hottest person alive…we get it. No need to keep repeating it.

Molly in general was annoying/unlikable for me. Always being super dramatic and rude to Hudson who’s her doormat. She’s constantly a B to him and for some unknown reason he can’t get enough of her. Towards the end Molly tells Hudson he makes her feel safe and that’s not something she’s had before…so she’s never felt safe with her brother who had to take over raising her and she constantly says how she owes him her life?

And the “spicy” scenes- they exist. But they’re very lackluster in my opinion. And the scene will be 2 seconds long and then one of them will say how amazing it was. Sorry but I just didn’t believe it.

*Book completed* 2.5 stars
This summarizes the FMC's personality. Please note, this is NOT an excerpt from the book but it could very well have come from there.
MMC (Hudson): "Hey, Molly. Look at the beautiful white clouds in the sky"
FMC (Molly): "I'm not looking up. Clouds aren't white and they aren't in the sky."
MMC: "They are. They live in the blue sky."
FMC: "Don't be stupid. The sky is green, not blue and clouds aren't seen in a green sky."

That is her entire schtick. She lies in the first chapter ALL the way towards the end of the book. She just lies. Lies about her feelings, events, she plays dumb, and she gets angry when called out on it.

**Spoilers in here**
Currently 41% in, here are some initial thoughts:
The first four years went by very quickly and during that time, personalities became toxic and no one showed any sign of character growth.
Now that I'm in the middle of the story, the plot isn't moving. Like, at all.
The FMC has a personality of a chihuahua, not sure exactly how old FMC and MMC are but they are acting like six year old children that can't sit on the same mat. The teammates even had to MAKE A BET just so the two could get along. They don't and continue to play childish games behind everyones back.
There's also some terribly inaccurate information for hockey and how the behind the scenes work.
Terrible repetition of information; in every chapter of the FMC's, we get hammered that the MMC is beautiful and a hockey legend. EVERY. CHAPTER. SEVERAL TIMES. We get it, he's hot.
It's been six or so years since the FMC had her first public panic attack, and she still hasn't sought help? She hasn't found an identity outside of her brother? She hasn't grown a bit as a human? *rolls eyes*
I'm hoping it gets better, but not sure how.

57%
Finally, we get to the marriage in Vegas. And I gotta say, between 41% and now, the plot STILL didn't move.
One day, I swear one day, we'll get a MMC who doesn't: 1. make a FMCV beg for sex 2. call her good girl and 3. doesn't become a Dom in the bedroom.
Those three things are so overdone and it's become boring and predictable.
The FMC's personality is best described as this: obstinate for the sake of being difficult. That's it.
Oh, and we still have no idea what happened to her to make her have panic attacks.
We've been with her for over six years and her past is STILL a mystery.
I hope she develops a backbone and more personality before the book ends.

80%
We FINALLY get a bit of the FMC's backstory. However, it was rushed, not detailed and I felt like not a lot of effort went into the story. Plus, the FMC left out a lot of details about her past. This part was a major letdown.

Book done.
I should have DNF'd.

I didn’t know we were doing doormat heroes now, too. Kinda refreshing among many doormat heroines, but still—

Hudson is a much bigger person I would ever choose to be.

Molly, on the other hand, is a self-absorbed bitch, who justifies screwing other people over with her trauma, as if she had a monopoly on it. I thought this chick went to therapy when she was younger. If that’s the case, she should get her money back.

I don’t get why those two ended up together. I don’t get why Hudson let her get away with constantly throwing him under the bus for the sake of her wellbeing. Did he lack self-respect or something?

Besides the fact I couldn’t get myself to root for the main characters, this book was also easily twice too long. It was mostly fluff and there was so much of it, I had a hard time finding some plot in there.

I loved the first book in this series so much, yet somehow it’s just been downhill from there. Sigh.

4 Star Review Beautiful Collide (Saints of Redville #2) by Ava Harrison

I enjoy Ava Harrison’s writing style and as I love hockey romance for me this was a win/win.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Or does it? The chemistry and intensity that smoulders between Hudson and Molly was intense.

Having read the blurb I was looking forward to the story about right wing for the Redville Saints, Hudson Wilde and Molly. Although , in my opinion the book does not really match the blurb, but again that is just my opinion, it was still entertaining

DNF.
Lordy the FMC was HORRIBLE. There were no redeeming qualities to be found. Pulled the plug at 26% as she wasn’t showing any sign of becoming semi decent and I just could read any more of her brush offs and snarky/ nasty remarks.

Ebook / Audio / Paperback

Molly and Hudson's first meeting isn't exactly...the stuff dreams are made of. Then she doesn't back him up in front of her brother and their teammates, and it sets the tone of their relationship over the next few seasons of Redville hockey. They snap at each other, have very inaccurate ideas of each other, and generally behave like two children who like each other but don't know how to say it to each other. A night in Vegas will change everything, though, and now they're in a woops marriage that they need to maintain cover. Will an accidental Vegas wedding be the thing that changes the course of the rest of their relationship?

These two enemies couldn't have been more different, and yet more perfect for each other. Thanks to Molly's childhood trauma, she's got anxiety, panic attacks, and walls stronger than steel. Hudson's being late at the beginning of his rookie hockey season, and Molly's not backing him up to the team, all gave him a very misleading and wrong reputation. They deal with things differently, and yet they're actually soulmates. I love how much Hudson was Molly's rock, and the way they navigated their growing feelings for each other, all brought on by that accidental, secret wedding. I'm very impatiently waiting for the next hockey player to fall in love now!

#Review: *Beautiful Collide* - Ava Harrison - ARC [18+]
4.7/5✨
3/5🌶️

I was super excited to see that there are open sign ups for this book and I immediately applied for it. Thank you so, so much Ava and The Author Agency for accepting me to be part of the team for this one!

Molly is the little sister of hockey player, Dane. She is also working for him, as his assistant, because she was feeling grateful for everything her brother did for her when they grew up. They had a tragic past, which was still deeply affecting Molly, giving her anxiety attacks. She would never imagine that one of her brother's teammates will be the one who will diminish her panics.

Hudson was new in Dane's team and didn't had the best start of season. Why? Well, here Molly played a small part too, because she and Hudson got stuck together just before he had his warm-ups. But that was a defining moment, marking both of them by acknowledging how much chemistry was between them, only from a couple of touches.

Even though they were obviously attracted to each other, there were always certain things happening which always got between them. That's how years have passed from their initial encounter, becoming some sort of enemies, until one drunken night which will completely change everything.

This story mainly focus was on the constant banter between Hudson and Molly, which I enjoyed so, so much! There were also Molly's problems, which made me emotional, being super happy for her, for eventually having Hudson in her corner. He was the one who fell first and harder and finally he got his chance to be with Molly, to give into their desires. They fit so well together, supporting and helping each other, being super cute, even though their little banter was still very much present. I laughed so much at the constant bickering between Hudson and his teammates, which offered a break from the angst I felt in the rest of the story.

This was my first encounter with a book by the author and I enjoyed it so much! It was complex, putting the reader in a rollercoaster of emotions. You can easily fall for every character and live each feeling with great intensity. I liked that there was a mystery from Molly's past which was kept until the end, which had constantly intrigued me, not knowing what happened exactly.

"I'd bring down empires if it meant keeping her safe".

The way I love this series. "Beautiful Collide" is the perfect enemies to Lovers, hockey Romance with a Vegas Wedding thrown in! I love how Ava Harrison not only writes amazing hockey romance but her characters have so much depth and real life issues & "Beautiful Collide" is no exception.

Hudson and Molly's love story is so heartfelt and sweet. The way Hudson calms her fears and anxiety. The way Molly believes and encourages Hudson. They truly bring out the best in each other.

She is his title Hex, He is her safety net. Her calm. They both bring out the best in each other.

Molly Sinclair. Dane Sinclair 's little sister. Hudson Wilde is a new hockey player on the team and Dane's best friend.

"Hudson is the kind of good-looking that makes you forget how to form sentences".

A literal tornado almost gets them as Molly and Hudson were driving to a game Hudson was late for..

"Because none of this feels complete until I'm with you". ♥️

They accidentally get .... Married in Vegas, by Elvis 🤣 Then Hudson suggests staying married to help him with his image. What could possibly go wrong when they decide staying married is a good idea. Will real feelings develop? Only time will tell!

This is the third book in this impressive series and this is Hudson and Molly’s story.
Hudson is the star right wing for the Redville Saints and is Molly’s brother’s new teammate and the bane of her existence. What happens in Vegas does not always stay there, and when Molly is there celebrating her brothers’ championships win, she wakes up hungover and with a ring on her finger.
This is a well written fast paced story, with family, friendships, emotions, forced proximity, angst, enemies / lovers, secrets, humor, witty banter, twists and turns, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and compelling page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Beautiful Collide is a fun and emotional hockey romance with the perfect mix of banter, chemistry, and heartfelt moments. Molly and Hudson start off as rivals—constantly clashing—but fate keeps bringing them together in unexpected ways. From hilarious mishaps to deep emotional moments, their relationship grows over several years, culminating in a wild Vegas wedding that changes everything.
I loved how their bond developed beyond just attraction. Hudson was always there for Molly, especially during her most vulnerable moments, and their accidental marriage only intensified their connection. The slow burn from enemies to lovers felt natural, though the beginning dragged a bit. Once things picked up, I was hooked on their journey. The mix of sports, romance, and personal growth made this a great read. If you love hockey romances with witty banter, swoon-worthy moments, and a touch of angst, this book is for you!

Hudson and Molly have a rocky start after getting locked in a closet together.. although they share a tender moment whilst in there, once they get out Molly doesn’t back up Hudson causing them to start a war where they make snarky comments to each other over the next few years… despite their close proximity- Hudson being a Redville Saints NHL player and Molly working for her brother Dane who is also ok the team, the tension between them is still intense.
Until it isn’t and they share a night during a tornado together… but this leads to miscommunication, with Molly having her emotional barriers up because of trauma from her childhood.
Hudson is playful and uses humour as defence mechanism.. as the toeing and throwing continues Molly begins to realise she likes him, and he likes her.

This was a cute enemies to lovers story, a nice 3rd edition to the series with a slightly rushed ending.

This one had all the tropes! Brothers best friend, enemies to lovers, secret marriage - Vegas wedding! To top it all, Hudson and Molly are fated souls. When we first meet Hudson, He’s the rookie to the team, depicted as the playboy but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Molly has been around the sport growing up with her brother also a player and she is his assistant, but Molly suffers from emotional trauma and eaten into her adult life. Hudson also seems to be there when she needed someone the most but they live to vex each other throughout the book, it takes place over 4/5 hockey seasons.
This book takes us on a journey to discovering that there is always someone out there who’s got your back.

I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own

The first half of the book runs too fast. It was a little hard at first to really get a grasp of things or even understand their dynamic but it does a great job at showing the enemies aspect and the nature of her nickname.

The middle part of the book is where the story really starts to pick up and where I got more from each character and could fully feel their connection. Was they both finally let their guards down things just meshed well and their relationship changed.

I love how they both in the end stepped up for the other and how much each character grew from the messes they were at the start. I did like the full circle moment with the jacket but it seemed like an afterthought at the end of the book and I feel that could’ve been fleshed out a little more.

It was great to be back with the Saints. I’m so happy that Hudson finally got his story 😍 I knew he was just misunderstood 🫠

But the never ending BANTER had me rolling. I’m not sure what I loved more, the banter between Molly & Hudson - or the never ending roasting in the team group chat. 🤣

But all in all their story was beautiful. He was always here when she needs & at the end of the day he’s able to prove to her that she’s strong & show/provide everything she’s ever needed. It was funny while also deep & loving.

Praying the next book is Masons 👀🤞🏻

Ugh, this was great. Hudson had a little golden retriever energy and oh he cared so much for the people around him, this guy gave a jacket to someone he didn’t even know, not a lot of people do that lol.
Molly was strong, she was just stuck, I felt that along the way she was really learning small things of what she loved.

OBSESSED!

Oh my gosh! I cannot get enough of Molly and Hudson!
The banter between them is probably my favorite part, but honestly there is just so much I love!
There’s so much I want to say about this book but I don’t know how to without spoiling it. Hudson and Molly have one of my favorite dynamics between them and the enemies to lovers is just 💋 spot on!
Then when Hudson gets past all her defenses we see their dynamic shift and honestly?! I love it so much!
But my FAVORITE part probably comes at the end and has something to do with a jacket 😏🫠

This is an amazing page turner of a story! I laughed so hard and swooned at so many others! All in all it’s just an amazing story!

Also I just lived for all text chats!

First off the bat, I would not call this a brothers best friend trope. He is literally just the teammate of mollys' brother, they barely interact outside of the rink.
I love Avas style of writing and I loved the characters of Hudson and Molly, well rounded and suitable.

Arc Review
🌶🌶.5

This was such a fun slow burn filled with tons of banter and an fmc and mmc who constantly battle each other.

“You’re such a pain in the ass.”
“And you’re my favorite bad luck charm.”

From the moment Hudson meets Molly all his troubles begin. They try to avoid one another but she works as her brothers PA and Hudson is his best friend so they constantly are in one another's orbit. The barbs these two throw at one a other had me in stitches.
I loved how Hudson was able to calm Molly during her panic attacks due to past truma and how he grounded her. Molly was so fiesty yet she was always putting everyone before herself. The way these two lusted after one another for years and couldn't stop pushing each others buttons was so good. So when they accidentally get married in Vegas by Elvis I was giddy to see where the story would go.

Definitely recommend if you love enemies to lovers with a slow burn, brothers best friend, accidental marriage hockey romance.

Thank you to Ava and The Author Agency for the arc opportunity💓
