Wyatt Music has been my solace, my connection to my past, and the girl I lost at seventeen. I’ve found peace and friendship in making music with Forever Summer, but the fame leaves me empty without someone to share it with. Could the sweet, exuberant girl I met dancing in the grocery store aisle see me as more than the rockstar persona I hide behind?
I long to get closer, but the spotlight can be a dangerous beast, and I can’t risk her being caught in its teeth.
Ellie Moving interstate is the fresh start I’m desperate for after my family’s secrets tore me from my first love, leaving me broken hearted. If only I could find a way to escape the expectations of my family, and turn my passion for dance into a proper career.
A chance encounter with a rockstar sets a chain of events into motion that might heal both of us. That is, if the dark side of his fame doesn’t drag us both down in the process.
This is the final book in the Forever Summer rockstar romantic suspense series
The final book in the Forever Summer series and I was ready to get to know Wyatt. The mysterious member of Forever Summer finally got to tell his story and it didn't disappoint. These two had to overcome individual issues and then navigate situations together. The twists that were set up were done well. The spice between these two was soo good. Loved these two.
This was such a sweet story that brought together the lonely souls from two amazing book series! Ellie's incomplete, heartbreaking story in the BHU series meets Wyatts lonely, mysterious life in the final book in the Forever Summer series.
These two characters worked so well together, and brought JL Skye's two worlds together perfectly. Both characters had trauma in their past they were dealing with and had to work through it together so that their relationship could flourish.
One of my absolute favourite parts of the book was the meet cute at the beginning, it had me grinning and squealing like a schoolgirl, but at the same time the second-hand embarrassment was stroooong for Ellie!
The twist in the story was so well sprinkled throughout the book that once it snuck up on you, you have an "OMG of course!" moment, but then the trauma attached to it takes over and you're thrown right back into the emotional rollercoaster.
Definitely a recommended read, this one not only wraps up the Forever Summer series perfectly, but also ties up the loose end left in the BHU series at the same time. Masterfully done!
Tropes: Dual POV, MF, Insta Love, Meet Cute, Cute Nickname, Traumatic Past, Big Secret, Celebrity Romance, Rockstar Romance, Fish out of Water, Banter to Love, Found Family, Plot Twist, Tortured Musician MMC, Bright Bubbly FMC, Cameos from other series, Dealing with Loss/Grief
Triggers: abandonment, accidents (fatal car accident in the past), alcohol, blood, bodily fluids, custody hearing, death of a loved one, depression, family conflict, fear, harassment, hospitalisation, child illness, incarceration, medical problems, physical assault, self-hate, stalking, threats. ** There is another trigger in the book but it does spoil a big part of the storyline, if you are concerned head over to the authors website and have a look at her content warnings section. **
It's Wyatt the quiet keyboardists time to shine, he has had some rough things happen in his past that he still keeps secrets about to this day. Being with the band has been great as music works to distract him but he also feels a little like an imposter, the crowds, the lights and the intense fans are all a bit too much and unlike his bandmates who have girlfriends to unwind with he is still on his own. Then one day he sees Ellie.
Ellie has left Blue Haven (Check out the BHU series as there are a bunch of awesome character crossovers in this book) to start a life of her own and persue her dream of dancing. Getting away from the drama of home and stepping out into the city has been a huge change for her but a good one, until a trip to the supermarket changes her path.
I cannot stop raving about these books, I'll tell anyone who will listen and even tell the people that probably don't care (sorry hubby). This is the third book in the Forever Summer series and I think it's my favourite so far. The writing itself as always is immaculate but the tension, the suspense, the absolutely adorable sugar sweet romance, the tender and claiming spice scenes plus J.L Skyes renowned fast paced action. It's a meet cute romance with a twist (or two) and I can't get enough.
A couple possibly triggering elements in here so check those out prior to reading.
We fell in love with Forever Summer in books one and two ... but book three?
Guys - your hearts aren't ready, but it doesn't matter, READ THIS BOOK.
With fame and success on the rise the boys are moving up in the world - they've bought a house together and are all moving in - Eli and Bea, Killian, Asher and Olivia .... and Wyatt.
Wyatt's torn - leaving home means leaving his little sister who is seriously ill, but at the same time he needs to live his life.
When Ellie LITERALLY dances into his life things start to change ... and the goosebumps and tears have kicked in just writing this.
Two characters have never been so right but had so much to get through...
So freaking sad to see this fabulous series come to an end ... but just like Blue Haven University while the door has closed on our fab four rockstars there are plenty of windows for side characters to escape and have their own main character moments!!!!
Thanks again to JL Skye for ripping my heart to bits but then fixing it and then ripping it apart and then fixing it and then .... well, you get the idea, these books are AMAZING.
“she kisses me deep, like she wants to consume my entire soul. The reality is, it’s already hers. She owns me.” - Wyatt Jones
Everything about Wyatt and Ellie’s story was so incredible and my only regret is that I didn’t read this book sooner!! From the adorable grocery store meet cute to the way he calls her “Daisy”, I was completely hooked from the very beginning. I loved their chemistry and the way they took things slow, despite their obvious desires. It was so sweet to see Wyatt fight for Ellie time and time again and I loved how understanding Ellie was to all of the drama that comes with dating a rockstar. It wasn’t easy yet it was so beautifully done and honestly I couldn’t expect anything less from JL Skye. She’s an amazing writer and I’ve come to expect greatness. ❤️ As always the spice was SPICY 🥵 but the friendships were also so so so good (LOVE Jay and Oliver!!!) And of course the mystery of the stalker kept me on the edge til the very end. Such a surprising twist but I was not disappointed! A seriously beautiful ending to the Forever Summer series and while I’m sad it’s over, I can’t wait to see what’s to come in the future from this wonderful author.
OH. MY. GOD... Jen, you amaze me with each book i read, and i absolutely LOVE this series.. The twist at the end was somewhat expected, but my jaw still dropped, and my heart still skipped a beat. I NEED more of all these characters... hopefully, possibly, wishing for a 4th book about all 3 love stories.. pleaseeeeeee *fingers, toes, and everything else crossed*
I can see why your favourite book to write was Ellie's and Wyatt's. It was so beautifully written, but also seeing the absolute love that Wyatt has for his family and friends (also family) was amazing. He was the silent, shy guy who stayed in the background, but learning why he was that way was absolutely heartbreaking. Ellie was definitely his saviour. She unknowingly helped him with his friends and helped him realise that they were really there for him whenever he needed them. I miss this world already. :(

“Holding on to the pain of the past isn't worth missing out on your potential future.”
This is the book 3 in the Forever Summer series. We finally get to peer into the brain of our quiet and secretive keyboardist, Wyatt! I was excited to learn about him since we know so little from the other two books. We already loved what we did know so to actually see the many layers of Wyatt was great! I also loved the female MFC, Ellie. She was so cute and I enjoyed her inner monologues! Overall this was a very sweet romance about moving on in life and healing your heart.
✨Tropes✨ - Multi POV - Rock Band Keyboardist MMC - Dancer MFC - Adorable Meet-Cute! - Past Trauma - Mystery - Found Family
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️.5
My favorite quote, so beautiful! 😭💕 “You're like a kaleidoscope of colour in this miserable dark existence, and it's made me realise how much I miss colour."
What can I say about this book? It holds a huge place in my heart.
We follow Wyatt, a withdrawn keyboardist and rockstar in the band Forever Summer, and Ellie, a dancer with incredible aspirations, as they navigate their new beginnings while confronting their past traumas.
Healing Love had just the right amount of spice, without overwhelming the strong, heartfelt emotional themes throughout the book. Despite being a slow burn, the pacing was perfect, allowing you to be completely immersed in everything the characters were feeling and experiencing.
This is book three of the Forever Summer series, and it was everything I needed to complete the band's exploration of love and healing.
I had a sneaking suspicion that Wyatt would would be May favourite of the Forever Summer boys and while he didn’t quite overtake Killian he gave him a good run for his money. Photo finish. This story is about the walls we build and what it takes to be vulnerable enough to let someone in, whether it’s your band mates or the girl that danced her way into your life. There is a fair bit of the miscommunication trope in this story that isn’t my favourite but the journey is worth it for the heart eyes you get at this HEA. While you can read this book as a standalone I highly recommend reading the other interconnected stories in the series.
After reading the first two in this series I was ready for JL Skye this time! I looked at ever breadcrumb and went through every line with a fine tooth comb, acting like sherlock holmes. If you have read any of the Forever Summer series, you know the twists hit you hard in the last 20% of the book and Healing Love was no different. I cried, I laughed, I was beyond happy to ‘watch’ Ellie get her happy ending after the BHU series has finished. Healing Love was the beautiful, shy awkward rockstar falls for bright and bubbly dancer that I didn’t know I needed! Highly recommend!
I’m a tad sad this is the last book in the forever summer series, but what a way to end it all! Ellie (from BHU series) & FS pianist Wyatt have their love story and I’m telling you it’s a bit of a roller coaster! They both have some internal & external struggles throughout the book, both dealing and healing from past trauma. This book had just the right amount of spice, plot & suspense throughout! The epilogue I absolutely adored being both the BHU & FS together! What an ending!
I absolutely loved this series and didn’t want it to end but I couldn’t put the book down. Healing love is the 3rd novel in the forever summer series. It follows Wyatt the keyboardist in a famous rock band! It was a slow burn love story with right amount of spice and a bit of suspense, wrapped up to make the perfect package.
This book is the cutest of the series I think FMC and MMC are adorable and I can't wait to see what happens in future. So much character building between this series and the Blue Haven University series that this book really ties together.

Wyatt’s story was so beautiful, I cried once again. Wyatt the keyboardist for Forever Summer meets Ellie a dancer and sparks fly. This story has everything from romance to suspense and family secrets will Ellie and Wyatt be able to overcome it all for their chance of happiness Highly recommend
This was the perfect ending to the BHU and Forever Summer universe. Wyatt and Ellie's meeting was everything, and we know JL Skye gives us the most heartwarming happy endings. My heart filled with joy through this whole story as they both grew together, faced challenges, and healed.
This story was a great ending to the story. Wyatt and Like are everything the spice the connection. I love that this connects the bhu series into this. j.l Skye knows how to write suspense and emotion so you know it's going to be a good book.
HOLY BEEP-ING SHIT, THE BOMB DROP IN THE LAST 10% OF THE BOOK!!! 😮 JL Skye has such a talent for dropping huge bombs of information in her books!! I'll admit, when Forbidden Love briefly touched on the fact Wyatt's sister has Cystic Fibrosis, I was a little concerned (some people don't write about it very well). but Skye wrote on the subject beautifully! The way she describes CF from a 6 year old’s perspective really made me cry! Skye writes really well how it feels to lose someone. Having experienced a lot of loss during my life, I really admire the way she's done it. It is also REALLY well written how Wyatt always tries to keep everyone at a distance, because of the losses. I live with Cystic Fibrosis myself, and I really appreciate and respect how she has been able to convey with her words, this condition and everything that comes along with it. I haven’t read the BHU series yet, although I will be downloading it now, straight away!
