A rebel on the run…

Victoria Royal is a traitor. Or so the U.S. government believes. Victoria was once a promising sniper in the Army, but now she’s gone rogue—worse, she’s just landed in the middle of a Hostile Operations Team mission in the desert and blasted it all to hell.

Nick “Brandy” Brandon doesn’t expect to run into Victoria when he’s bugging out from a mission gone wrong. It’s been more than three years since she disappeared from the sniper course they were in together, and he’s finally stopped thinking about her killer curves and smart mouth.

But now she’s back—and she’s far more dangerous than Nick ever believed possible… Is she really a traitor? Or is there something more at stake? He has to decide fast—because time’s running out and too many lives hang in the balance…

4.5 It only Keeps Getting Better Stars

She'd disappeared a little over three years ago, and now she was here in the middle of a war zone, fucking up his mission.

You know what I love about this series? Freaking EVERYTHING. The fact that it only continues to get better and better with each new installment is just the icing on the cake. Lynn Raye Harris is able to deliver heart pounding suspense with a sensual and sizzling romance that all together adds up to an addicting and unputdownable read.
She looked like a somewhat frightened and helpless woman, and yet he knew she was a deadly assassin. The same as he was. She was like one of those startlingly beautiful creatures in the wild- colorful and attractive, but deadly when touched.

Nothing better than a bad ass heroine in my eyes, but make her a hot shot sniper and yet at the same time endearingly vulnerable and put her together with a cocky and yet endearingly protective hero?

Victoria Royal has been deemed a traitor by the US army and kicked out of the sniper training program all because her sister has been cavorting with a known terrorist. Determined to clear her name and rescue her sister who no longer seems to be voluntarily staying with a man that is on the US terrorist watch list, Victoria plays mercenary for a man that she hopes has some kernel of information about where her sister is. When her mission brings her face to face, or snope to snope as it were, with a face from her past, everything changes.
But this- him- she was out of her element.
It had come on fast. Too fast.
This crazy pull between hem was disconcerting and exciting all at once.

Nick “Brandy” Brandon hasn't seen Victoria since she left sniper training, but he's never forgotten her. So when she comes in, guns blazing, and blows his mission to hell and back, he's determined to not let her go this time. Whether she's willing or not, he'll bring her in, and she'll work on the right side to help bring a known terrorist to justice.

I devoured this book just as I did the others in the series, but I think this one may be my favorite yet. The chemistry between Victoria and Nick was absolutely sizzling.
He reached for her, pulled her against his chest, and tilted her head back with both his hands on her face. He was a fucking goner. He was like an addict being offered a fix, and he couldn't say no.

Both of them may try to fight it, but their pull to each other is undeniable.
I want you, Nick Brandon. I don't know why, but I do. Badly. You've been under my skin since the first moment I saw you back in training, and while I have no fucking clue what I'm doing, I think I'd regret it for the rest of my life if I didn't do this with you.

I have to admit, I could have done without Victoria being a . I'm growing kind of bored with that particular thing, but then again her explanation of why did make sense, so it didn't bother me too much.

I can tell you that absolutely everything about this book worked for me; the action, the suspense, the romance, the characters. I also loved that Lynn began to weave a secondary POV into the story of the MC from the next book. I loved getting that little peek inside of "Iceman".

If you're a fan of romantic suspense, I've said it in all my reviews of this series, and I'll say it again; THIS IS A MUST READ. Trust me. You'll thank me for it later ;)

Nick is happy with his life. He loves his brothers and his job as a member of HOT. Nothing could distract him from the job or his life until her. He hasn't seen her since Sniper school where she just clear disappeared! She was the best next to him (and he was THE best), had a back bone and oh how he loved to wind her up. Now they call her a traitor!! But for some reason Nick just can't believe it's that simple. There has to be a reason she turned on her country, if she ever had at all? And he will find out! After she blows HOT's latest mission and kills the opposite target to the one Nick wanted, he knows he will have to take her in. Getting back to base without her (after she manages to give him the slip on the way in), his Colonel has some very interesting news on the mystery woman that might just see Nick not only finding out her secrets but helping her to extinguish them!
Victoria has come a long way since she first joined the US forces. Coming from a crap childhood she was only ever trying to make a better life for her and her sister. That all went to shit!! When she lands in the middle of a top secret US mission she manages to anger and spike the intrigue of a man she never thought she would see again. Nick. The egotistical, childish prick that made her time in Sniper school hell. She should shoot him there and then. But when they find themselves needing each others help to get out of a sticky situation she knows when the opportunity presents itself she has to make a run for it. He will take her back and the one thing she can't do is go back. As events lead them back together she hates to admit that to do what needs to be done, she will have to trust Nick and his team to help her. They are the only ones that can. Now all she has to do is remember that Nick is the enemy and she definitely shouldn't be wondering about whats underneath his clothes.

Again I really enjoyed this book and even though there are references to previous plots from other books, this series can be enjoyed as stand alone's or part of a whole. I much preferred this to the last installment even though I enjoyed that one as well. Nick is hot, hot, hot. I love the two leads and the chemistry between them. Victoria is a very strong willed woman and always has a come back for Nick and never lets him walk over her (well there is one little part near the end but I loved it that much I am willing to over look it lol). Essentially this book is a brilliant little read. Lovable characters with a good story filled with tension, suspense, mystery and romance. I can't wait for the next book release and would happily recommend this series.

HOT Rebel by Lynn Raye Harris is a 2014 publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I hate using those overused and often over the top statements like: “ This is the best book in the series so far” and “Lynn Raye Harris has done it again”. However... This is the best book in series and Lynn didn't just do it again, she somehow did it better.

First of all, not only do we have a hot alpha male is Nick “Bandy” Brandon, but we have an alpha female in Victoria Royal. This is an interesting combination that pits two strong willed and determined people against each other. Victoria is known as a traitor after she was kicked out of the army. Her sister Emily has gotten herself into a very dangerous situation by becoming romantically involved with a man who has terrorist connections. Victoria has aligned herself with the worst of the worst looking for her sister. She is a gun for hire, a mercenary, and when she stumbles across Nick, a man she trained with long ago, he is stunned to see her and saddened by her choices. When Nick's boss explains Victoria could be of use to them and promises her he will help get her sister back, the two have to work together on a very tense, dangerous mission. Nick doesn't trust Victoria at first and who could blame him, but once he sees that getting her sister back is her one and only goal he is all in. The biggest problem they will face by working together is this pesky attraction between them and it's the most inopportune moment this to happen, but time is awastin and it's either now or never.

I thought the storyline was really suspenseful, more so than usual. Terrorist and germ warfare can keep a person up at night. Trying to imagine your sister being the clutches of such an evil person would have to be unbearable. Even if Emily's choices cost Victoria her place in the army, her family duties come first and since she had the training and nothing left to lose she does what she can to save her sister. I loved Nick's character and his way of always calming Victoria down and having her look at the situation in a more rational manner. Sometimes I hate that oh so reasonable explanation guys have that makes sense when you think about it. But, this was a good thing for Victoria because ,of the two , she has had the worst time of things. Nick has had a few bad experiences in life, but for the most part he's in a good place when the story begins. The book was well paced and the romance was super hot and spicy. Lots of sizzle and burn in this one. The chemistry is great and this pair are going to make a great team. For this one I will dust of the 5 star rating.

Why I didn't love it:
I had trouble believing their romance. I know I know who am I to judge, right? But honestly, it seemed to come out of nowhere. The ending was sweet I guess.
Overall: No cheating, enough suspense (if you're into that) and a decent dialogue.

Yet another fantastic book in this series. Nick’s story was a lot of fun to read simply because of the banter between him and Victoria. This one was also action packed with some of my favorite stuff; being captured, the main girl being hurt in front of her man, protective situations. You name it and this book had it!

Nick is quite the man with his charm and lethal deadliness (and as Victoria describes it, a lethal body). I really liked nick a lot. He’s a preachers son who grew up in Missouri (my state) yet he did not have a good upbringing. His family was intense and very strict and his sister was gay, which did not make his parents happy.

At this point in the book the HOT team has a running joke of who’s next? This is because every member who has been on a mission to protect someone, has fallen in love with that person and now the whole team, including the colonel, is just waiting for the next person. Nick is determined that it’ll never be him, but little did he know how wrong he was.

When Victoria waltzed her way back into his life, messing up his mission, he was pissed but very intrigued. It took Nick a very long time to admit his feelings but when he did boy oh boy.

Victoria is labeled as a rebel/traitor after having to leave the Army and become a mercenary. She’s definitely one of the most badA women in this series (they all are though). I related to Victoria in more ways than one but her having red hair and being five four was the most relatable to me.

This book was so fun and I loved reading it. We also got some updates on some of the other members and we learn that Jack and Gina are expecting another child!

I was giving an Advance Copy of Lynn Raye Harris Hot Shot and found I enjoyed the book so much when her next book was released I thought why not read it. So I took a chance and boy I am glad I did because I really enjoy Hot Rebel with the feisty heroin Victoria Royal and HOT's Nick "Brandy" Brandon.

Victoria Royal is a traitor or at least to the U.S. government she is a traitor. According to Victoria she is a gun for hire after she was thrown out of the army as a sniper. She now uses her skills to find her sister who disappeared on her while she was in the army.

Nick Brandon is a sniper who is ready to make his kill shot but instead of everything goes as planned another sniper takes out the wrong target sending Nick and his partner running to save their hides. He meets Victoria and remembers her from Sniper Training school and her sassy mouth. Nick is trying to figrue out if she is a traitor and who she is really working for because no one at HOT's can not figure out who Ian Black really is.

Snipers, near death experiences, romance, lots of action and a cliff hanger that has the reader wanting more. Lynn Raye Harries wrote a book I couldn't put down not matter how late into the night I read. Nick and Victoria have the perfect amount of flaws to make the story believable but not enough to put the reader off. Nick is an alpha male who knows that Victoria can take care of herself and never second guess her decision once they start working together. Which makes him less annoying then others where you want to hit the guy and let the girl take the lead.

Dare I say it? I think Victoria Royal and Nick "Brandy" Brandon's story is my favorite HOT story in Lynn Raye Harris's HOT series--and that's saying something because it's a fantastic series!

Vic and Brandy are both snipers who can kill with a single shot--but coming from very different places--he's military all the way, and she was kicked out of their training school where they first met because her sister allied herself with a terrorist who (like a cult leader) convinced the troubled young woman to become his wife. Now Vic is in the fictional country of Qu'rim, working as a mercenary for hire--and she's put herself in the heart of the danger in an effort to locate and rescue her sister. Brandy and his HOT team are in the same location, running one of their secret ops. At first, they're working on opposite sides, but then they find themselves joining forces to a) expose her boss as a traitor, and b) finally rescue her sister.

These two characters are perfect together. They are equals in terms of the job they have to do, and both certainly bring some angsty backgrounds to any relationship. But there is a vulnerability about the rebellious Vic that triggers every protective instinct Nick never knew he had. Their relationship was tender and super sexy, full of great banter and true romance, against the harsh setting of fighting terrorism. They each had their moments to be strong and rescue the other; and they each had their moment to learn what it meant to truly love someone.

Although this is larger than life military romantic suspense, I found their relationship very realistic. I absolutely loved it! Couldn't read it fast enough.

I enjoyed this one! I realize what I'm getting into when I picked up this book because I didn't even read the book one of this series. But I'm confident that I'm able to pick up the plot, and I did. The push and pull between our main characters are smooth AF. Will definitely read more!

Hot Rebel Indeed

As usual, I loved this book. Nick was sizzling and Victoria was a great balance of badass strength, skilled sniper, and vulnerable woman who n need of a solid rock for a partner. The action was intense. The sexual chemistry was off the charts. Mrs. Harris did a fine job with these two and an even better job increasing the curiosity about Ian Black. Love the way he gets under Mendez’s skin. I just hope all his digging doesn’t end up getting him into trouble he can’t get out of! On to the next book. Cannot get enough of this series.

"I love you, and I’ve been an asshole, and I’m sorry. I let you go, and I let you think it was because I didn’t love you. There’s nothing I regret more than that." - Nick Brandon

Well, it looks like Preacher Boy got his own happy ending as well. And with a woman who can easily race him to wear the pants of the relationship at that!

Nick "Brandy" Brandon and Victoria Royal haven't seen each other ever since she dropped out of sniper course. He sure as hell doesn't expect to run into his female rival while on a mission - or that said mission will be ruined because of her amazingly accurate shot. But Victoria has her own reasons for working for the opposition, and she doesn't care even if she's branded a traitor to her country. When Nick saves her and Mendez orders them both to work together in order to expose a rogue agent, sparks that haven't really died between them will start flying again. And this time Brandy is not letting go easily...

I love snipers in stories. Them and tech geeks! They always have the best lines and are the wildest in bed when they woo their lady, yum yum!

And I dare say, neither Brandy nor Victoria disappointed me.

Brandy was a gentleman at heart, who was quick to judge people, yes, but knew how to apologize and make up for it later. He was sweet and caring, and knew Victoria was strong - if not stronger than him. The way he treated her like an equal at times really gained him major points - I say at times, because, come on, an Alpha male willing to let a woman be in danger no matter how capable? Yeah, no, ain't gonna happen...

Victoria, on the other hand, was everything Brandy was not. She was soft inside and hurt by life and people, and her defense was to be prickly and harsh, instead of the supposedly easygoing and laid-back persona Brandy liked to show the world. Her special... situation made her even more adorable, and her devotion to her dead grandpa brought me to tears at times.

When those two worked together, it was awesome. Despite doing it for the first time, they were like a well-oiled machine that couldn't stop at anything. But their chemistry didn't end there. Oh, no, it was even more amazing under the sheets! Sizzling hot, and sweet at the same time, since they were both discovering something extremely new to each other!

Can't wait to see how the next book turns out, I swear Harris does a damn fine job of keeping us on our toes!

“The problem, Preacher Boy, is that I like you. Really like you. As in I want more of you, and I want it pretty much all the time. When I thought you might die out there, I prayed that you wouldn’t. I told God I’d rather he take me than you because at least I wouldn’t have to know what it was like to live in a world without you in it. How fucked up is that, right?” - Victoria Royal

HOT Rebel is the sixth book in Lynn Raye Harris's Hostile Operation Team series and is the story of Victoria Royal and Nick 'Brandy' Brandon. HOT Rebel can be read as a standalone but stories from previous books are mentioned as are characters that appear throughout the series.

Victoria is an excellent sniper and a strong, independent woman, but she also an endearing vulnerability about her. Nick is HOT's resident sniper and is a cocky, protective alpha male. The two met at sniper school and were top of their class and rivals before Victoria just disappeared and Nick never saw her again. It turns out that Victoria's sister, Emily, got involved with a known terrorist and Victoria has been labelled a traitor.

Three years have passed since the two leads met and Victoria is now working as a gun for hire in an attempt to save her sister, who she has not seen in years and who she believes is now being held against her will by the terrorist she was involved with. Victoria's hunt for her sister lands her in the middle of a HOT mission and in the path of Nick. In order to save her sister, Victoria must team up with Nick and his team while trying to keep her secrets hidden and also ignoring the red hot chemistry between herself and Nick.

HOT Rebel is action packed and fast paced, filled with romance, heat and suspense. Both main characters are strong and independent but make a loving, likeable and believable couple. They are explosive between the sheets but they also have a sweet romance, friendship, respect for one and other and desire to protect each other.

This is a great addition to the HOT series and I am eagerly awaiting the next book.

I love Romantic Suspense, it is one of my fave genres out there. And if I had to pick one that would be in my top 3, this series would be it for sure!!!! These books get better and better not to mention freaking hotter and hotter....

I loved the story of Victoria and Nick and as usual it was action packed from start to finish. Oh and did I mention the panty melting scenes as well....mmmm HOT indeed!!!

Victoria first met Nick when she was in the Army training to be a sniper. She left and no-one has seen her since....that was 3 years ago. When she turns up on one of Nicks ops, he cant believe his eyes, especially when she screwed up the "HOT" op and took down the wrong guy!!!

Victoria has been working at a "mercenary" for the last 3 years now, while trying to locate her sister who is married to a Muslim radical. If it is the last thing she does, she is going to free her sister and take her back to the States. What she does not count on is running into Nick "Brandy" Brandon and teaming up with him and his team in order to free her sister.

The chemistry between these 2 burns hotter than ever, but can the flame last, or will it die out when the op ends?....

Highly Recommend this series to anyone who enjoys action packed pages, alpha males that will leave you begging for more and kick ass heroines who know how to hold their own....

Cant wait for Ice's book next and super stocked to see it is out before the end of the year....whoo hoo!!!

This novel is action packed from the first page. Harris presents her readers with a well written novel with an intricate storyline that not only grabs your attention with this action, but holds it throughout. She also has some comical interludes to lighten the mood. They are priceless in and of themselves and definitely added to the forward momentum of the story itself. Her vividly visual descriptions pop you right into the midst of the story. This novel has all the intensity of a military novel without the gore. It also has all of the romance of a more contemporary story, but presented in a very unique manner. And let us not forget the side of sass and the dash of heat. It was the perfect combination.

I thoroughly appreciated the fact that Harris builds her story around strong male & female leads. Neither depends on the other, but at the same time they are still the key to one another’s happiness. It is a brilliant middle ground for these amazingly well developed individuals. Harris also gives readers a ‘peak’ at past and future stories from the series, letting you get to know more of the characters and their lives outside of work. Her development isn’t limited to the main characters. Readers are introduced to the entire team in a real way.

This novel is a great addition to the series or can be read as a standalone novel. Harris is definitely an author to watch for all fans of romantic suspense, Alpha male types, and military type romances.

A copy of this ebook was provided for me via Netgalley for review - in exchange for an honest review.

I loved that there was a lot more action in this book, plenty of suspense to keep the story moving. The action is fast paced and having it set in Afghanistan (I want to say Afghanistan) makes it relevant to now. I'm by no means an authority of women in the military, but it's always refreshing to see - even if Victoria is on the wrong side of it at the moment. She's a kick arse character that can take care of bid'ness. She's strong and I think Harris does well to portray that and her loyalty to family. She'd do anything for her sister, even to the point that she puts her own life on hold.

Even though I liked Victoria and Nick together, and their scenes together were well done, I felt that the love side of things was quite rushed. I would've been happy for a HEA without declarations of love, but that's just me. I could quite possibly be become a cynical old biddy in my old age ;)

Nick was everything I like from my heroes - smart sexy and not too in your face alpha - he wants to take care of Victoria, but he also knows that she can take care of herself. And I like how this seems to be a consistent character trait for Harris' heroes.

Overall, this was another fun foray into the world of HOT and I'm looking forward to reading more from the series in the future. Again, this could be read as a standalone novel, but why would you want to miss out on the HOT fun!

Fantastic addition to the series. The tension between Nick and Victoria is sizzling, the dialogue is fast-paced, and the interactions with the other members of H.O.T. are some of the best yet (especially Mendez, who really shines). Great story and I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

Hostile Operations Team = HOT
Also known as: H.O.T. Strike Team 1
HOT Rebel is the fourth book in the Hostile Operations Team: Strike Team 1 series by Lynn Raye Harris. This series is an adrenaline-fueled blend of military action, sizzling romance, and plenty of emotion. Across the interconnected stories, which can all be read yet standalone if you wanted, Ms. Harris delivers a consistent mix of suspenseful missions, complex characters, and heartfelt relationships that kept me engrossed till the very end.
The military elements feel authentic without being bogged down in technical jargon, and the action sequences are fast-paced and dynamic.
The romances are passionate and unapologetically steamy, but they’re also grounded in trust, respect, and personal growth. Whether it’s a second-chance at love, enemies-to-lovers tension, or a whirlwind attraction forged in crisis - each couple’s journey felt distinct and satisfying.
So, if you enjoy military romantic suspense with strong heroines, protective yet flawed heroes, and a perfect balance of heat and heart, then this series is a binge-worthy collection that delivers plenty of action-packed escapism laced with genuine emotional punches.
Series Consists of:
-HOT Pursuit (Book #1) ~ (Matt & Evie)
-HOT Mess (Book #2) ~ (Sam & Georgie)
-Dangerously HOT (Book #3) ~ (Kev & Lucky)
-HOT Package (Book #4) ~ (Billy & Olivia)
-HOT Shot (Book #5) ~ (Jack & Gina)
-HOT Rebel (Book #6) ~ (Nick & Victoria)
-HOT Ice (Book #7) ~ (Garrett & Grace)
-HOT & Bothered (Book #8) ~ (Ryan & Emily)
-HOT Protector (Book #9) ~ (Chase & Sophie)
-HOT Addiction (Book #10) ~ (Dex & Annabelle)
-HOT Valor (Book #11) ~(Mendez & Kat)
-A HOT Xmas Miracle (Book 12) ~(Mendez & Kat)

I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

I have to say, I originally rated this as a 4 star read and then I questioned why? What didn't I like about it... it deserves 5 stars.

Victoria and Nick went to sniper school together and then Victoria disappeared off the grid without a trace. Years later in another country Nick misses his mark by another sniper, and in walks Victoria.

While this is sixth in the series, it can be read as standalone. Victoria is the heroin you want to be, she is a sniper and one of the best, she is smart, independent, and doesn't need a man for anything. Nick wants to know why she left, he wants to help her, and refuses to take her attitude. There is a real story here about war and conspiracy, so it's not just fluff or smut. There is some key drama to keep you intrigued and interested, and when you least expect it, you get more of the story to Nick and Victoria. Holy hotness, I was blushing. Nick doesn't need Victoria and she doesn't need him, but in the heat of the moment while stuck on a stake out together does a little hooking up hurt? Of course not, and Victoria doesn't turn into the cliche of a woman falling at his feet, she is still herself with a job to do.

I have to say, this was as surprise read that I was not expecting to enjoy as much as I did. I read this in one day, 5 star hot read for me!

Thank you to Lynn Rae Harris for the opportunity to read and review her book. I really enjoyed this one! *Not intended for anyone under 18 due to strong sexual content.

wow.. finally found another superb book.. an equal between hero and heroine.. both are badass kickass operatives

they met at the sniper course. he felt competitive with her because he realised that she was the best at shooting.

Victoria took his behaviour as an insult just because she is a woman who live in a man's world and she was not good enough. In reality they had attraction towards each other a long time ago.

3 years after she walked out of the army, Nick met her again and she ruined his mission. From that on, they flirt and there are many push and pull between them. As they get to know each other better, their mutual feelings groom but Vic felt strange because all this time she fight alone she fights for herself and her sister. And suddenly Nick makes her needy, need a man to hold her to comfort her.

There are many things to describe Nick and Vic. They are not just a brilliant snipers. They a honourable person who protect their beloved ones.

I feel bad for Victoria.. From the early age she has to protect and take care of not just herself but also his sister. It's not a small responsibility and at some point she blamed herself when her sister fall into a mess.

Glad she met Nick.. a man who selfless and only wants the best for her

I intend to read another books from this series but because I'm a picky reader, so I will read the ones with the badass and kickass heroine in it (never like a damsel in distress plot)

For full disclosures sake I was given an arc copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review. Hot Rebel is one of those awesome romance suspense novels that makes you want to read it over and over so when I was given the opportunity to reread but via audiobook this time I jumped at the chance, plus who doesn't want Aiden Snow's voice bringing this story to life. So down to the story. First I freaking love the heroine Victoria. She is strong sassy and her story has a twist that we might see a lot in romance novels, but it is handled in a way that keeps her strong, but lets her show her soft underbelly. I know that made zero sense to you, but if I said what it was it would be a spoiler and I hate those so in short, Victoria Royal is amazing and I love her. I appreciate seeing a strong heroine who can kick ass with the best of them, but still has her softer side. Then their is Nick. In short he's a dream boat as a physical specimen of the male species and has his own tender side that made me melt. The story itself is action packed and doesn't stop. Its a great thing because I love an exciting book, but its also a bad thing because sleep is important. It was funny because with this being my second read through I thought it wouldn't do that to me this time, but what actually happened was me finding tasks I could do while listening. In short go read, or listen, because its awesome.

This is the 6th book of the series. However, you will understand more if you’ve read earlier books of this series.

If you want to read what the book is about, read above the reviews.

Our hero is a sniper who is really good at what he does. When he was in training, there was only one other sniper to be who anything near to how accurate he was. He was very attracted to the woman before she disappears, but he thinks he just met her again on this mission gone wrong because of someone, probably this person and its made him angry.

Our heroine was a promising sniper who was being trained; however, her family life ended up with her leaving before she was fully trained. Now the US government things she is a traitor in enemy territory. She is afraid for her sister, who she’s been looking for.

The plot is a great one with many grey areas for our hero and heroine along with the rest of the hero’s team. It’s fast paced with twists and turns you don’t see happening. You also get to know more about another operator which the other stories have touch upon, but this one really gives you more information on that as well.

The plot and characters are great and keep the story moving to the point where I couldn’t put the book down.

I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Book freaking six already.

I don't like spiders. And you're probably wondering why I'm telling you this. Patience. So. I don't like spiders, and every time I see one I have this almost physical reaction, they make me want to runaway and scream at the top of my lungs. After seeing one near my bed and losing sight of it, I decided it was best to stay up... and read... all night long.

Thankfully, Nick and Victoria were amazing! I forgot about the spider long enough to read most of HOT Rebel and fall asleep with a peaceful smile on my face. They were so easy to root for, from the beginning. They were the couple I never knew I needed in my life and their first kiss was everything I did not expect but definitely needed as well.

My only reaction throughout this book can be summed up in two words: damn. wow. (I know, not super original but whatever.)

Their fiery passion set my heart and soul on fire (obviously) and Lynn Raye Harris did such a great job with Nick and Victoria, I might never recover.

Victoria went through sniper training with Brandon. She was at the top of the snipers until one day she disappeared. Brandon had given her a hard time teasing her when he could. Then he finds out that she is a traitor to her country. While on assignment with his new team mates from HOT his assignment was destroyed when someone else shot and killed another target. Now she is being targeted by HOT to get at her boss Ethan Black. She will turn tables on the first one who is able to help her out. The reason she is in the middle east and is a merc for hire. Let's just say if I give away the reason I would ruin the plot. Brandon aka Brandy has her in his sights and not with his issued weapon of choice. There has been sparks fling for a long time. I loved listening to the narration till the very end.

HOT Rebel is an action-packed story with a kick-butt protective heroine and protective hero. These two will do anything to protect each other, no damsel in distress here that's for sure. And Nick "Brandy" knows better than to think Victoria will shy from danger: "He wanted to protect her, but she didn’t need protecting. And she wouldn’t appreciate it if he tried." The alpha protectors I love most are the ones who respect a tough, independent woman and love that quality in her, making this book one of my favorites in the series. So if you want action, suspense, love, and an HEA with an awesome narrator who brings the story to life, here you go. Aiden Snow has become one of my favorite narrators.

Victoria & Nicholas

They're both snipers, they've both lost people they've loved. But Nick & Victoria are constantly bickering, have been since Army sniper school, where they were each other's main competition. But now they're back in each other's lives. Vic is tough, courageous and skilled as a sniper. Nick is serious, independent and just became HOT's sniper. Can they survive a dangerous roller coaster of a mission together? Can they work together well enough to save Vic's sister, bring down a terrorist and realize what real love is? It's a heck of a rollicking good ride finding out!

This is excellent. Very well written romantic suspense. Plot is edgy and intense. Victoria is brave, very independent, a rare female who's also an excellent sniper, very strong character with a big heart for her loved ones. Nick is temptation on two legs but he's not conceited about it, he respects Victoria. As their path cross and merge, they get to learn a little about one another, exciting stuff. Never a dull moment, love it from beginning to end. I am voluntarily reviewing without obligation the free Audible version so I do want to also mention that the narrator did a remarkable job, my ears loved the clarity in every word and emphasis in every action.

Victoria is labeled as a traitor and rebel, but she was one hell of a shot at Sniper school. Her main focus at this point in her life is to save her sister by taking jobs from Ian Black to obtain her sister's location, but unbeknownst to her, she is interfering with a Special Ops Team's assignment.
Preacher Boy only knows one person who could have made that shot that interferred with his assignment, and the opportunity it present is wildly perfect but for the wrong reason. he wanted her back then just as much as he wanted her now. She is brought in with only one option, and that is to work with the Special Ops Team to get information from Mr. Black, and they will help her find her sister.

I love this series. This book like all the others catches your attention from the beginning and holds it until the end.
Victoria Royal and Nick 'Brandy' Brandon were competitors in sniper school and it doesn't seem much has changed when they meet again after 3 years.

Nick is as alpha as they come and the chemistry between he and Victoria is crackling hot.

This book is filled with action on every page as the HOT team goes to work trying to save Victoria's sister. When it comes to fighting terrorists this team is unbeatable.
