The LCD screen in the arena showed pictures of the seven fighters in the Alpha Class. There I was, with my new name. I looked strong, and my wolf was absolutely gorgeous. I looked to where my sister was sitting and she and the rest of her posse had jealous fury on their faces. I then look up to where my parents are and they’re glaring at my picture, if looks alone could set shit on fire.
I smirk at them then I turn away to face my opponent, everything else falling away but what was here on this platform. I take my skirt and cardigan off. Standing in just my tank and capris, I move into a fighting position and wait for the signal to start — To fight, to prove, and not hide myself anymore. This was going to be fun. I thought, a grin on my face. *Mature Audience Contains mature language, s*x, abuse and violence*
The only reason this review is 2 stars instead of 5 is the editing. Normally I don’t complain about a few mistakes here or there I’m more likely to finish reading a poorly edited book then a poorly thought out book. So this is my plea to the Author to please have this book edited by a professional. This wasn’t a few misspelled words or voice to type issues. Several chapters were partially repeated others were split when they shouldn’t have been the pov was constantly switching around with no header telling us whose pov we were reading more often then not. It took twice as long to read as necessary because of the issues in format. However the characters, the world building, the storyline and mythology were all awesome! If the author can get the editing worked out this series will be one a read over and over again!
This was a DNF for me. I can see that there is potential there, but as many other people noted - there needs to be some major editing done. POVs changed in the middle of chapters without notice, grammar needs editing, and the format isn't great. I'm not sure how it got such a high rating. It seems it was written by a middle schooler and the majority of the reviewers might have been their friends.
(If it was written by a middle schooler, I would like to apologize for writing a bad review and to let you know that you have room for growth and you'll learn. Bad reviews aren't the end.)
This book is stolen. I have already read the ORIGINAL from the ORIGINAL writer DizzNIzzy. It is posted on another reading app, and i find it very disgusting that someone who says they are a “writer” , would steal, plagiarize someone elses book. If this author wants to contest this, im sure the original writer can prove this is her book. Something else to keep in mind, she has a face book page and has for years now with these stories she has written on them. As she posts when new chapters are up. This book is NOT a series as its posted here, and IS NOT FINISHED YET EITHER. Shame on authors who plagiarize another authors works.
Werewolf’s Heartsong (Werewolf’s Heartsong Series Book 1)
Werewolf’s Heartsong (Werewolf’s Heartsong Series Book 1) ~~ I read this book on Kindle and also listened on Audible, and this was a really exciting start to the series. I love paranormal wolf shifter romances, and this one immediately grabbed my attention with the Alpha Class arena fights, pack rivalries, and the intense competition between the wolves.
The story follows a fierce young wolf shifter who suddenly finds herself standing in the arena where seven fighters from the Alpha Class are being introduced on the giant screen. I loved this opening because it throws you right into the action. She’s determined to prove her strength even though people around her doubt her — especially her sister and the group surrounding her. That tension really sets up the emotional conflicts in the story.
Then of course we meet the powerful Alpha male, and the chemistry between them is immediate. There’s definitely a strong attraction there, but it isn’t simple. There are secrets, power struggles, and pack expectations that make their connection complicated. Watching their relationship slowly develop while they’re both trying to survive the dangerous arena world was one of my favorite parts of the book.
The Audible narration made the story even better. The narrator really brings the intensity of the arena fights and the emotional tension between the characters to life. Listening to the scenes where the wolves are competing in the Alpha trials was especially exciting.
By the end of the book the story leaves you with so many questions about power, loyalty, and the true purpose behind the Alpha Class competitions. It definitely sets up the next book perfectly.
I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself — you won’t regret it.
Ok, not gonna lie, I wouldn't ever have picked this book up off the shelf. However, while playing games I had to sit thru a few Ads, and after sitting thru this one a few times, I started reading it to pass the time quicker. Well before long, I was hooked and stuck at Chapter 6. I go and download the app from the Ad to read more. It got me mad, quickly, with locking me out after a bit, only letting me advance by watching a ridiculous number of Ads or pay so much money, enough that I could buy cases of this book. So I got to thinking surely I can find this book on a real reading app. Thanks to AI, I did!! I immensely enjoyed this story, and can't wait to dive into the next one!! It has well developed characters, crazy back-stories that keep getting deeper with the more we read, and some great family dynamics. I'll probably read more in this genre as well after finishingthe series, thanks to this story!
Overall, I thought Werewolf's Heart Song was a pretty good read! The story kept me interested, and I found myself wanting to know what would happen next. The characters were engaging, and there were definitely some emotional moments that pulled me into the story.
One thing I struggled with, though, was the multiple points of view. I really wish each chapter had included the name of the character who was speaking because there were several times when I found myself confused about whose perspective I was reading. There was also some overlap between different characters' viewpoints, which sometimes made the transitions feel a little repetitive and harder to follow.
Despite that, I still enjoyed the overall story and thought the author did a great job creating an interesting world and characters that I cared about. Once I got settled into the writing style, it became easier to follow along and enjoy the journey.
The plot is decent, and the characters are likable, and I'm drawn to finish the story. My only complaint is that some of the details are just too descriptive (i.e., outfits, bedroom decor, etc), and there is a lot of repetition with the MFC. A lot of what surroubds the MFC feels very "marysue" like almost dream-like and less believable which can seperate the reader from the story. I know it's fantasy, but sometimes the plot needs to be a bit smoother and less too-the-point and MFC/MMC gets everything-on a-golden-platter. But overall, I am enjoying the story. Update: Finished, and the ending felt rushed. I was left feeling unsatisfied in terms of book closure. The final battle was built up and built up, and then it was just done. Wasy fight, easy win. Over. I feel almost cheated after bonding with these characters for so long.

I read the whole thing just to make sure. I’m sure writing is hard and creating worlds and such and more power to you for giving it your all. Reading this was painful. You repeated chapters only changing few thing but literally same POV, switched POV mid chapter and didn’t tell us, too many characters too soon even you got the names confused. Started calling them Mom then switched to their real name but didn’t tell us who tf they were we had to guess. It’s like you tried for intrigue but everyone had the “inside scoop” it’s not dramatic if everyone comes to the same conclusion at the same time. There’s an alpha of alphas who KNEW what was going on… the whole family KNEW but just sat back like “can’t do anything. So sad. Hope she makes it to 18” wtf!? No. And she’s cool with it? No. Just. No.
I stumbled across this book on one of the paid book apps and was so upset I had to either pay way too much to read a few chapters or wait days to get the free coins to read. I am so happy that this book is now on Kindle!!
Alora and her chosen family are so easy to connect to. Alora’s story is hard to stomach at times. The cruelty some people can unleash is just heartbreaking to read through. But she is so strong and has an amazing support system around her. It’s amazing how many points of view are in this story, the only draw back is that it switches who is talking and doesn’t indicate who it is. Once you get used to how the characters speak and think you can guess who the speaker is. I love where this story is going and cannot wait to see what else is in store for the rest of this group!
The storyline is a level above the typical abused werewolf genre, with the heroine here actually attending school and building her strength and skills. Nor does she live without any hope, waiting for a male saviour to accidentally meet her and carry her away. No, there are intelligent adults in the community, who secretly work to help her progress in school, without her abusers knowing. But my biggest bugbear, which lowers the quality of authorship in writings, is the leaving in of the drafts. An event is written about; and then written about again with a little more context. If an author can’t afford a proofreader they should delay publishing, until they themselves have read and reread the whole story in one go; to ensure the writing flows without missing or repeating events.
The story is very good and grabs you right away. Some issues in the writing are that there isn't any kind of editing whatsoever, some chapters are repeated, a lot of multiple POV's that you can't figure out whose it is at times, and I loved how what I just stated earlier doesn't match as much as the story didn't let me up and read it anyway. This is not a great/happy story, there is explicit physical abuse, humiliation, mental trauma, physical trauma, and sexual assault. FMC is a fierce heroine who has dealt with so much that I found myself crying, pissed off, and elated that she finally had some friends around her. I'm excited for the second book and need to see where she goes from here. On to the next! #HappyReading ❤🔥
Outside of needing some minor grammar and spelling revisions, I don't have much to criticize on this story. There are some POV changes that need to be noted and marked as well, but overall was a good story. A sudden change of POV without saying it had me pausing to figure out who was the dominant POV at times.
It is very well-written and brings a whole new perspective on abuse and how Alora was able to rise above it and become a force to be reckoned with. This first installment did a lot of world-building and character introductions and development. The intricate details and emotional depth make this a truly captivating read.
This book has a 5 star plot and characters for me. I truly love this story and am hooked. I want to know what happens. However, there are some editing problems which dropped some stars for me. There are a couple chapters that are repeated. Also, it is inconsistent when identifying whose pov we are reading which is annoying to try and figure out. There are also sometimes where the wrong character name is used (mixed with another character or the one who’s pov you are reading). If those edits were fixed this would be a 5 star read for me. Will definitely read the next book.
I found the storyline quite enjoyable but it was very hard to follow along. In some places the author showed whose perspective it was from but in many instances the reader was left to guess. It was very muddled and confusing. At chapter 41 things began to repeat. Literally. Several chapters that were exactly the same as the one previous but with different details. I’d like to see the story conclude and look forward to the release of the next addition. Hopefully it will be a better edited book than this one.
This story truly has potential, but I found reading it was sometimes very annoying: - Many times the story was repeated through a different characters perspective. And while that isn't per se wrong in these instances it was always almost word to word repetitions. - Other times I found it very confusing in which Pov the story was written because there wasn't always an indicated change of perspective.
But I've read this authors book through a reading app first so I know it might be a work in progress, so I really do believe this book with its captivating story has potential.
This was a good story with multiple POVs but at times there was no warning on whose POV I was reading. I would have to back track, read over and guess if a clue wasn’t given immediately. The downside of so many point of views is that things get repeated and it gets very annoying when I have to read it just in case I didn’t miss whose perspective I was currently reading. A lot of grammar issues but I pushed through it all because it is a good story. Moving on to the second book.
This is a really good story. I only gave it a four star rating simply because I didn’t like reading things twice… the repetition in the chapters with the change of the characters POV’s was aggravating. If the author decides to make changes I hope she takes that into consideration and edit that in a way that still keeps it tied to the previous POV without the repetition. But other than that…the story itself is great! I’m actually looking forward to reading the rest of this.
I’ve read this on other websites before finding here on Amazon. While I still enjoy it, the lack of editing and double chapters throw me off, but only slightly(I just scroll through once I realize). And I guess I was so engrossed the first time read it that I didn’t realize how there’s no break before POV switches.
Overall I believe if this was or is edited properly it’d be even more amazing, because the story is very good and informative about its world.
I liked everything about this book - a few errors in grammar and a missing word here and there doesn't mar the story, which i find brilliant!, can't wait for the next book! The author is now a favorite! The story is legendary, characters are well defined! Descriptions of places and people build a firm foundation for living the story as you read it! Alora is unparalleled to me. Her story isn't one I wish to tell here, just teasing. You enoughto do your toes in this delight of an adventure.
The story idea base is great so far however the actual writing needs serious revision two chapters cut off and repeat the chapter towards the end of the book and the povs are not all marked so you have to do the nental math by what the perspective is saying to figure out who is actually”speaking” I highly suggest the editors review and correct these changes so this story can be better appreciated as many readers cannot handle extreme errors like this, I’m hoping the following books do not have these error as I continue the story
I wish I could give this book two ratings. The first would be for the story, which is great! The characters are developed and the story is at a great pace. The next would be for editing…holy cow, the author needs to go back and edit. This book had repeated chapters and changes in the POV without posting who it is. This was originally a PPC on websites and I don’t think there was much editing before publishing. Totally read the story, it’s wonderful, but be prepared for editing issues.
This storyline is good but it’s hard to tell whose POV it is a lot of times. Theres several instances of using the wrong name for the character and there’s 2 or 3 chapters that are repeated. In one chapter there’s talk of a playlist that plays multiple songs listing each one by title and band, changing the song every couple seconds in a span of time that should only take a few minutes. It’s got a lot of good potential but it really needs a good editor.
I have enjoyed this story for the most part but find it overkill to make the heroine superpowered.
The author needs to label POV for all the characters if she’s going to label any. There are countless chapters where whose POV we are reading is unknown until several paragraphs in.
There are at least two chapters that are repeated: 41 & 42, then 43 & 44, if I remember correctly.
This book has a great foundation but needs a lot of work on the details. I am not one of those readers that are grammer police but this book is in need of an editor. The switch in POV's without warning takes the reader out of the story trying to figure out who is speaking. I really enjoy the characters and the storyline even with the need for an editor. I will definitely be continuing this series.
Werewolf's Heartsong caught my attention with the first sentence. The storyline is most excellent. I love the various POV's. The development of each character is done so well and so intentionally, you either love them or hate them immediately. This book is near impossible to put down. Do yourself a favor and make sure you have plenty of time to devote to reading!
The main story line has potential. There are countless spelling mistakes and grammar faults. Chapters are repeated, there's no flow between different character perspectives. This book is available to read free online and the re write version is better but incomplete. The only reason I got this as with it being properly published I thought it would have been the re write its not.
The concept of the story was great, and the main characters had depth and endurance. However, there were duplicated chapters towards the end, and the point of view (POV) was not clearly defined at the beginning. This made it difficult to follow the story until the point was reached. The editing was seriously lacking. The effort in writing was a good attempt. Thanks for the short escape.
This book would have gotten 5 stars from me if editing was done. This story and world Angie built is so fascinating and beautiful! There are some really sad things in this book. I’ve been on an emotional roller coaster! It’s an excellent read. Full of shifters, witch’s and so many more. I’m so excited to keep reading. All my book buddies would absolutely love this series!!! Thank you Angie for sharing this amazing book with us…
