Hopelessly Yours

Rate this book
Victoria 'Vix' Johnston had her whole life plotted out for her since birth. Straight a's, Ivy League education, and eventually a MD behind her name, just like her father.
The Johnstons are good, respectable people in their town. From the right side of the tracks...unlike the boy that stole Vix's heart in high school.
The same boy wrapped up in the crime problem that her mother, the district attorney, is fighting desperately to eradicate.

Jace Murrow is used to fending for himself. His mother dumped him on his grandmother and ex-con uncle when he was still in diapers. Crime is in his blood.
When he sees the rich girl he used to daydream about at a party, he knows he should steer clear. She doesn't belong in his world, and he doesn't belong in hers.

Everyone said they were wrong for each other, but their hearts are hopelessly bound...

I love to read and write romance. I moved from the East coast to California for love and stayed for the french fry burritos (though my fiance is pretty nifty too!).

Always is my first NA (New Adult) novel and I'm a part of the Insatiable Reads Summer Tour. (http://www.insatiablereads.com/)

The book was ok. I couldn't really connect with the characters. I also couldn't get into the storyline.

Hopelessly Yours Review

4 Stars

Another excellent book by author Ellery Rhodes! “Hopelessly Yours” is about young love, forbidden love and possibly another chance at love?! Victoria (Vix), the heroine has spent her whole life being the good girl and doing what she was told. Her life had been planned out for her by her rich parents. Although Victoria knew she would never be good enough for her mother no matter what she did. Meanwhile, Jace, the hero, is a poor kid from the wrong side of the tracks. He's had a sh*&ty life but has made his own way for as long as he can remember.
Jace was always getting into trouble and after being sent away from the high school they both attended Jace broke up with Vix even though he still had feelings for her. Fast forward to 3 years later and a chance meeting at a party has the sparks flying between them again.
But both of them have changed. And Jace has a secret that he hopes Vix will never find out about. Will this bad boy and good girl be able to work things out the second time around.
There are shocking developments in this book that I had a hard time dealing with. But I couldn’t stop reading because I wanted to know what turn the story was going to take next. I read this book in one sitting…it was that good.
The reasons I didn’t give this book 5 stars was because I found what Jace did for a living inexcusable. Although mentally I understood why he did what he did. And secondly I wasn’t expecting this book to have a cliffhanger ending. I thought it was a standalone book. Never the less I will be anxiously waiting for the next book in this series to be released! I can’t wait to see what happens with Jace and Vix!
I will be recommending this book to friends and others online who I know like this kind of story.

Just not impressed

I wanted more reunion. I got a whole lot of every thing but. seriously I just needed more to make love this book. characters are not impressive and neither is the story. not the Ellery Rhodes I'm usually accustomed to.
