Nadine I'm twenty-four, living in my mama's single-wide, and my boyfriend of eight years just walked down the aisle with somebody else. Broke, single, and stuck in a job that's going nowhere fast, I figure things can't possibly get any worse. Then Carmen Salazar walks in like a twisted fairy godmother with an offer I have absolutely no business accepting — a new job, good money, and the chance to headline the exclusive underground auction at her members-only gentleman's club. I'm fresh out of options and pride is a luxury I can't afford right now. I just didn't expect him.
Reynolds I'm the most handsome mayor in Georgia, possibly the youngest, and according to my campaign manager, I have a reputation that could derail my entire re-election if I'm not careful. She puts me on the straight and narrow and I fully intend to stay there.
Then I walk into my best friend's club, see the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, and completely lose the ability to form a sentence.
She's a hostess. I'm a sitting mayor with everything to lose. My campaign manager would have an absolute fit. I should walk away, focus on the election, and forget I ever saw her.
But when her name appears on the auction list, walking away stops being an option. I don't care what it costs. She's not going to someone else.
What could possibly go wrong?
Auctioned to the Billionaire Mayor is the first book in Rayna Azure's scorching Billionaire Romance series — steamy, funny, and completely addictive. Features multiple open-door spicy scenes, voyeurism, coarse language, and a guaranteed HEA. No cliffhanger. Recommended for readers 18+.
2.5 stars. Such a disappointing ending. All Reynolds had to do was get drunk and make a total fool of himself at his inaugural ball and all was forgiven.

I was so close to doing a DNR on this book. So close. I’d read 58 pages, and couldn’t stay interested but I persevered, and I’m glad I did. The book did get more interesting as I read.
This is the story of Nadine Walker and Reynolds Taylor. Nadine is from a small town and deems herself not very intelligent. She wasn’t good in school and doesn’t find it easy to learn… she has problems staying focused and is 24 still living in a trailer with her mom. When her boyfriend of eight years dumps her to marry a society woman with money, she ends up working for the caterer at her ex’s wedding and believes this is her lowest point in life. But while catering there, she meets Carmen Salazar who offers her a job at one of her sex clubs and tells Nadine that she will auction her off to a man for six months where she will make an insane amount of money, receive a car, a new home for both her and her mother along with anything and everything she ever wanted. So, she agrees and leaves with Carmen immediately.
Reynolds is the mayor of a town in Georgia, a handsome devil and a massive playboy humping about anything he can get his hands on. However, he’s up for re-election and some of the towns people are questioning his commitment because of all his playboy hands on activities. So, he hires a consultant who tells him he needs to settle down at least until after the election and find a proper woman to date… someone deemed socially acceptable. He agrees, but when he hits the sex club Nadine is at and sees her for the first time, he’s speechless. And after that, he wants her in the worst way but tells himself bidding for a woman for a six months sexual commitment is not in line with his current mayoral candidacy. So…. What to do?
Of course typical male… he thinks he can have his cake and eat it too. He finds himself a boring socialite to grace his arm while in public as he runs for his second term as mayor, and then bids on and wins Nadine in the auction and sets her up behind closed doors for his sexcapades. Only, more and more, he despises Whitney, his fake paramour, and longs to spend every waking minute with Nadine the woman of his dreams….. how will it all turn out.. pretty well.
As stated above, I did set this book aside for a day at page 58 with the intention of not finishing it. I decided to give it another try and read a few more pages, and it captured my interest at that point. The rest of the book was solid. There’s a HEA ending. 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I might have given it five if it wasnt so slow to start.
There was a lot of issues to overlook with this story but in the end they couldn't be ignored. The formatting, grammar, and punctuation errors detracted from the novel. There were a few details that changed by the end of the book. One example is the story in the book takes place in Florida, the description states Georgia. As well as a lot of repetition that wasn’t needed. The spicy scenes were alright but at some point I skimmed through them. The premise of the story seemed interesting. The lack of attention to details took away from the story. The author should spend more time polishing, and editing, the novels before publishing.
The male and female main character left a lot to be desired and lacked depth. The male lead character is a player and liar. He keeps a fake relationship going for the sake of his political career. The bigger scandal is how much money he spent to win the female lead character in an auction, on a condo, houses, cars, and to pay off her mother’s debt. I don’t see how that didn’t come out when someone intent on destroying his political career knew that.
The mystery added to this story wasn’t enough to get me to care about other books.
If you’re into books that have sex clubs, alpha males, and heroines that need rescuing then this is the book for you. I really liked the dynamic between all the Salazar brothers (and Carmen). I’m anxious to see the continuation of this story and how it plays out over the years. Plus, I’m anxious to see how each of the sugar babies find their happily ever after!! Great work! I look forward to reading more by this author!!!!
Well the book started off really annoying I don't like books that make women look stupid and uneducated. Nearly stopped reading it when Nadine asked what an NDA was. However after pushing through Nadine was helped to polish herself up and I started to enjoy it. I liked the ending and several bonus chapters which was a nice change. Low rating due to the beginning of the book.
The handsome mayor Reynolds and the so beautiful Nadine. Small town girl and big city mayor cross paths and fall in love. Good spicy book and many stories going at once but a little unbelievable with the fake fiancée and all. Kinda got sickening and predictable. What happened to Jelly and where did she go. Many unanswered questions and not sure I’ll read the next.
I made it halfway through chapter 3 and decided life’s too short. I don’t know this author, but her opinions of how southern people are is laughable. The heroine is an idiot and I didn’t read enough about the hero to form an opinion. I just knew I couldn’t go on reading and that says something because it takes a lot for me to DNF a book.
I loved the way Rayna wrote this book. Both in-depth and detailed but the heroine was passionate and relates able. Loved this series!
I 🤞 wish hope she writes a book about some of the characters from this series. Madeline/Will defently!!! I hope the brothers Salazars and Carmen get there own series.
Super cute story but way too long. And this author needs someone to edit her writing. Ugh, it was hard to read at times. The MMC was a big playboy.and FMC was young and needed help and new beginning. Fun story. Happy Reading ❤
I loved Nadine story and Reynolds trying to keep his political career afloat. The Salazar family is amazing!! Are we going to get the story for each Salazar family member? @Rayna
