USA Today Bestselling author, Cindy M. Hogan is the author of edge of your seat, young adult suspense novels that always have a dash of romance, because every book should have hot guys and girls in them. Her first series, the Watched Series, skyrocketed her to number one bestselling author and she hasn’t let up since with over 20 novels to her name.

She never sits down to write, instead, she walks and talks into a recorder and lets her computer transcribe her words. Editing is her enemy, but she loves the final results, so she’ll always dig in.

Her one dream is to own and bake in a German style bakery with a cute to-go window for Gelato. In the meantime, she’ll continue to do the thousand other things she loves like teaching, all things outdoors, painting, and gardening—she’s never met a flower, tree, bush or vegetable she doesn’t like—except maybe okra and beets. As long as she’s got a book playing in her ear, she even enjoys weeding. She may be deranged.

She loves to create, but can’t seem to sit still for long, even to read a book. Instead, she listens to books so she can read and create at the same time. She’s a non-stop worker and enjoys every minute of it.

Her most loved creation is her two amazing daughters and wishes they were teens again. She loves to be home, but her husband is a traveler and drags her family around the world, where she finds an endless supply of story ideas, characters, settings, and more often than not, walks away with a suntan or ends up in a cool castle. She is also inspired by the unpredictable teens she teaches. If she is not creating things other than books, you’ll find her snuggled up with the love of her life watching a movie or planning their next party.

Most of all, she loves to laugh.

I liked this one more much more than the first in this series. I enjoy reading the occasional mystery/thriller and Hotwire did not disappoint. It is a fast paced story with lots of twists and turns.

I loved the "team" Christy works with and can't wait to read the next book to see them all in action together again. Although I certainly hope the roadblock to the relationship I want to see develop somehow gets dissolved sooner rather than later.

Rating: 4 Stars - Great Book

Content: violence that is typical of a spy novel

I enjoyed Adrenaline Rush, but I liked this book even better! Christy has a new assignment. As Amber Smith, she's going to high school to get in with the group of kids who are stealing expensive, high profile cars. It doesn't take long for her to get in with them. There are reasons for her team to question why they're involved in this assignment and it turns into something much bigger than they originally anticipated.

The man she goes up against in this book, Alexander, is dangerous and scary. She has to cozy up to his nephew, Viktor, in order to keep close to him and it's not a pleasant experience for her. Jericho is another boy who is very interested in her and she has to work hard to keep him at a distance since he's also a creep. I liked Mikado and Carson and was sad to see how they got mixed up in something so dangerous for them.

I love Christy's interactions with her team. Ace and Halluis weren't sure about what kind of job she would do but they learned to respect her as they worked together and sometimes their interactions had me laughing. Her relationship with Jeremy heats up a little more but there are still reasons for them to not be together.

This book is another exciting adventure! Once again, there are plenty of twists and turns which kept me guessing the entire time. Just when I thought things would calm down, they picked back up and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I'm looking forward to the next one! If you enjoy clean YA suspense, this is a series that won't disappoint!

I received a copy of this book to review. My opinion is 100% my own.

This book has everything you could want! Plenty of action, suspense, romance, and even some mystery. If you think you wouldn't enjoy this, just read it. Cindy M. Hogan has such a talent for making characters so relatable in an unrelatable setting. Christy is one of my favorite characters because although she is a spy and saving the world like every day, she still is a teenager. She deals with the worry of if the guy she has fallen for likes her back or not. Even when she finds out he does, she worries that since they can't be together those feelings will change over time. She deals with what's right and wrong. She grew up being told one thing is right, but then in order to solve cases she has to do the complete opposite. Lastly, she deals with trying to uphold her standards in a world that has no standards.

Oh. My. Gosh. This book has it all. Romance. Danger. Christy. Action. Adventure. Subterfuge. Christy. I can't say enough about how much I love Christy, her character just gets better and better with each new story. I love how there ends up a little part of each of the people that she's been in each new book. Christy in this book is way more sure of herself and knows better how to handle herself than she has in any of the previous books. I also really love how close she's able to work with Jeremy in this one, and how much more aware of her feelings for him she's becoming. There are some really amazing characters and situations in this book. I think it's pretty crazy how this whole book revolves around high school students stealing cars for an who knows what. This book will take you on a crazy ride that you won't want to get off of to eat, sleep or anything else!

We join spy Christy as she goes undercover in a New York City school to investigate a car stealing ring backed by her handler Jeremy and two other agents.

I love the way Ms Hogan writes. There are so many threads to her stories and she reveals things at just the right time and keeps you guessing. She also does a great job keeping you on the edge of your seat as the investigation unfolds and ends up where you don't expect.

I had a great time reading Hotwire. If you are after a fast paced, young adult mystery with a side of romance, I would recommend Hotwire.

Christy is back for another round of adventures. Finding out who is stealing cars no big deal after her last time, there no way it could end up like it did before, right?
Jumping back into the world of division 57 was great. I loved Christy strong character in book 1 and she didn’t disappoint at all in this one. More action thank the first and a slighty harder edge

http://fangirlavue.blogspot.com/2014/11/hotwire-by-cindy-m-hogan-blog-tour.html

After reading the synopsis and thinking, "Mmm, I haven't read anything like this before." I decided to give it a try. I was super pumped to dive into this story, that I even began reading it an entire week before my tour date. But I will admit that my expectations were a bit high, and I was left just a tad bit disappointed.

Hotwire follows our protagonist Christy Hadden, a 19 year old spy. She works for an agency called " Division 57 ", who is preparing her for her next mission. Christy must go undercover as Amber Smith, to investigate a string of car thefts at A.G Bell Academy, a prestigious engineering prep school in New York. She's not alone as her team, Agents Hallius, Ace, and Jeremy, back her up every step of the way.

I really enjoyed Christy as our main character. I loved how independent she was, never relying on anyone to retrieve information, or to solve a problem for her. She came across as such a go-getter, and because of this, alot of breakthroughs in the case were done on her behalf. As I mentioned above, she wasn't alone on this mission at all, and as much as I want to give her credit for the success they've accomplished, I definitely have to applaud her back up as well. First up is Agent Hallius Moreau. He's much older than Christy, and served as her shadow on most missions. Next we have Agent Amedee Renaud better known as Ace, who was the computer geek of the crew. He was also older than Christy, and had the purpose of hacking, as well as creating trackers, and other cool gadgets. I definitely liked his character, especially since I have such a love for technology. Last but not least, we have Jeremy McGinnis. He was the leader of the team, also known as the handler, and surprisingly was Christy's crush. I did not see that coming!

After pin pointing who may be involved with the car thefts, Christy begins to form friendships with them, with the sole purpose of coming up with a lead. I will agree, this was a brillant idea, and the plot pretty much focused around this aspect. But, everything happened sooooo quickly!

Within just a couple of days of attending the academy, Christy had:

A boyfriend named Viktor, who just so happened to be the nephew of Alexander, the evil mastermind behind the thefts.

A friend named Carson who she met on the first day at the school's dance, who weirdly had a crush on her.

Hank, who she considered a good friend, but only conversated with a few times in the entire story.

Gina and Karina, two shy girls she met on the first day.

Oh and Jericho, one of the car thieves, who also had some sort of crush on her.

Now, I know the purpose of these "situationships" were to use these students to gather insight on the mission, however, I wish there was more of a "build-up" to these friendships. I felt as though from the gate things were happening too quickly, especially the relationship she had with Viktor, as well as the instant-crush some of the boys had on Christy. I remember being super confused around chapter 20 when Viktor and "Amber" were having a conversation in the hallway.

" It's crazy, even though I didn't get alot of sleep, it wasn't hard to get up at all. Not at all. And I realized why as I drove to school this morning. It's because I knew I'd get to see my girl and get a bit of action. "

Wait what just happened !

My eyes literally bugged out of my head when I finally realized that they were dating. I even skipped back a few chapters, just to make sure I didn't miss anything. I hadn't, and this really made me hope that later on in the story, more of the characters and or situations would be better explained. Another example would be the character Hank. As I mentioned before, Christy didn't interact with him that much, so when a scene occurred involving him, it was really hard to believe her emotion. She was absolutely hysterical, and I again found myself flipping backwards through the chapters, making sure I didn't overlook any details concerning their friendship. This became a constant problem for me, being that I couldn't connect with any of the supporting characters due to their lack of "story" and appearance within this book.

Now, on to what I enjoyed the most about Hotwire!

Any novel about a spy needs some type of action included right? Of course, and I will say that Ms.Hogan definitely delivered!

The last 40 pages of the book is so jam backed with action, I was literally on the edge of my seat! So many plot twists occurred that I had zero clue as to how the story was going to end. I definitely want to applaud the author for the realism she served with the fighting scenes in the story. Christy was indeed a human girl, with no superhuman powers, (she did have a cool photographic memory though) and it was refreshing to see her in battle. She didn't do any outlandish mortal kombat moves, instead she fought as anyone would inspect her to. She was extremely quick on her feet, and used her wits to include surrounding resources to take down her opponents. You go girl!

I must say that I really should raise the rating for Hotwire to atleast 3.8 stars instead of the 3.5 I currently have. Even though I wasn't invested and couldn't connect to majority of the characters, I still very much enjoyed Christy and her incredibly lovable crew. I also wished there could have been more romance between Jeremy and Christy, especially since they were crushing on each other. But I understand Jeremy's decision to not want to jeopardize Christy's job with the Division as well as the mission. Atleast we received a cute kissing scene!

For anyone of my readers who are looking for an action story, with a cool kick ass heroine, and a crew of just as amazing spies, I most certainly recommend this!

These are fun books that I finished while I was in Lake Powell with my family. This one is about Christy when she infiltrates another group of high school kids who are in two stealing cars. She infiltrates the group, which turns out to be part of the Irish mob, and it’s about her story about how she takes this down. I love the subtle romance that is thrown in as well. Good read.

I think this book might be even more gruesome than the first in the series which involves a beheading, but the messy parts (in terms of death and destruction) are far outweighed by the actions of Christy and her new team. I like the idea of a team for Christy that will follow her throughout her missions as she has worked with so many different people and their characters don't get to be fleshed out as much. I look forward to seeing more from Christy's new team of spies.

Hotwire is a fast-paced novel about the investigation a car theft ring, but something far more sinister is uncovered during the operation. Although Hotwire is the second book in the Christy series, I had no problem reading it as a stand alone.

From the blurb:

Division spy Christy Hadden can't wait for her latest assignment posing as a student at a prestigious New York City academy and car thief extraordinaire.

The best part of the mission is her attractive handler, Jeremy, and her new team. The worst part? The sociopath masquerading as the academy's most popular guy.

But soon she realizes the car thieves are much more than they seem. Her simple spying mission becomes more dangerous than anyone imagined. If the organization discovers her true identity, they won't hesitate to kill her, and if she fails, others will suffer the same fate.

Christy is a spy posing as a student in a private academy. Her assignment is to discover and infiltrate a car theft ring. To me, it seemed a little too easy for Christy to locate the big hitters and worm her way in with them, especially because the thieves would want to keep their illegal activities secret.

Christy’s team and their various skill sets were interesting, though other than Jeremy, the rest of them seemed to blend together, and I had a hard time keeping track of who was who. On the other hand, the characters Christy was involved with at school and through the theft ring were well drawn and unique. The action, danger, and suspense throughout kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering what twists and turns would come next. There’s a touch of forbidden romance thrown in, too. A crush turns to a declaration of feelings that can never be acted upon.

The story wasn’t predictable, and nobody played the perfect hero. Characters remained human, along with the accompanying penchant for human errors and weaknesses. At times, the writing seemed a bit awkward, especially in the first half of the book. The second half read smoother to me. Perhaps the author excels in writing action. Ms. Hogan did write some fantastic fast-paced scenes, leading up to a heart-pounding, satisfying conclusion.

This was my first book by Cindy Hogan, and I’d certainly check out other stories by her.

I liked it so much I went and bought The Watched Trilogy last night. Which is the first three books about Christy I believe. I enjoyed the characters I read about. Sorry to see that one won't be coming back. I thought it was exciting story. Sad that so many students were sucked into making wrong choices so young. This is a clean read but their is a lot of violence in it..

Christy Hadden is nineteen and just got a new spy mission. She is going back to high school in New Your City. Where they think a bunch of kids are stealing cars. Their mission is to find one certain car and get it back. Why is a mystery. Christy likes her handler Jeremy. She can remember everything she sees because of her photographic memory.

Agent Halluis Moreau, Agent Amedee Renaud and Jeremy are all working together to find the car. Halluis is Jack-of-all-trades spy. Ace is tech genius. They were working the case by themselves. Once they figured out the school was center they got Christy because she is one of the youngest spies out there. Jeremy came next and because he was Christy's handler was in charge.

The suspects they have gathered are two guys who both are attracted to Christy. Christy does not want to have anything to do with them but must. She figures out early who some of the ring are.

I am excited to read the early books their are talked about things that happened to Christy when she was younger. I read 5 books in a couple of days that feature Christy and wish there were more to read now.

The setting for this book is A.G. Bell Academy, an engineering prep school in New York School.

Some of the kids going to this school come from big money. Some others are their on scholarship.

This story is fast paced, lots of drama, action. Christy gets into trouble but she can out think and is fast. Every time it starts to be slowing down and safe something else happens.

Real Rating: 4.5/5 stars.

When I signed up to read Hotwire for the blog tour, I didn’t pay attention to the fact that it was the second book in a series. It was only after I was accepted into the blog tour that I noticed this important piece of information. With that being said, I was a bit hesitant about reading this book, because I tend to like to read books in the order that they were written. Luckily for me and hopefully everyone else that chooses to read this book, Hotwire was able to be read as a standalone.

Hotwire is about Christy and her assignment to track down a group of car thieves. She disguised herself as a master car thief, hoping to catch the eye of her potential suspects. What she didn’t realize was that tracking down the car thieves was just the tip of the iceberg when it came to the illegal activities downtown.

I adored Christy from the moment I met her. She was smart, sarcastic, courageous, and humorous. If she didn’t intrigue you yet, maybe these facts will catch your interest: she is 19 years old, has a photographic memory, oh right, and she’s a spy! Some of the other amazing characters in this book included Jericho, Vicktor, and Carson. All three of them were students at the new high school where Christy attended.

As the book progressed, it became difficult to tell who was telling the truth, and who was lying. Not only that, but Christy also had to deal with all three of the guys vying for her attention. Yes, there was a love triangle-type scenario included in this book, but it was very unique. Unfortunately I can’t say how it was unique, because that would be a spoiler! All that I will say is that I enjoyed the romance aspect.

Overall, I really liked the way that this book was written. I was able to visualize scenes in the book easily and there were a couple of times where it almost felt as though I was inside of the book! As I mentioned earlier, I also loved the characters.

I really enjoyed Adrenaline Rush, but liked this one even better. This is Book 2 in the series, but they can stand alone, since each book is about completely different missions.

Christy is an 18 year old spy and as I mentioned in my review of Book 1 (found here), I don't think I have it in me to be one myself. I was on the edge of my seat, wondering how in the world she was going to get out of some of the situations she found herself in. She is very resourceful and is able to think fast on her feet, unlike me.

There is a ring of car thieves who steal expensive cars and are thought to be high school students at a prestigious NYC school. Christy goes undercover to try and get in with the group, in order to recover a specific car. The leader is thought to be one of the most popular boys at school. Christy soon finds herself in the thick of it, not really knowing who to trust and in more danger than she ever counted on. It's crazy how fast she was thrust into the middle of it and it's also easy, and sad, to see how some of these unlikely kids ended up in the group.

I was trying to pinpoint what I liked about Christy in this one and I decided it's because she's more real. She gets creeped out by some of the characters, can really sense the danger, and has real fears. She's put in situations that she's not comfortable with and I was really able to sense her feelings and her insecurity. She's not as confident, yet she tries hard to be. She has to really push the limits with her acting abilities. The bad guys were easy to hate, as they were really portrayed in a scary, creepy way. I'm looking forward to more!

Content: mostly violence--some abuse, attempted rape, stealing, but also some mild innuendo and kissing. I would consider it clean for an older reader.

Christy Hadden is a spy. Though she is only 19, earlier experiences motivated her on a fast track through training. Now, she is on an assignment with her team, in New York City.

This book starts out fast-paced, and continues on to be filled with edge-of-your-seat reading. The primary characters are quite "spy-like," giving you just enough information to like, or maybe to dislike some of them, and to get to know them just a bit, yet not enough to let you in on too much of their private lives. In other words, you won't find any "fluff" or "filler" in this book. It is concisely written.

Christy shows confidence and strength in doing her work, yet she is still just as vulnerable as any other teenage girl. Sometimes she is filled with self-doubt, yet, at other times, she can still come off as a bit over-confident in her own abilities. She needs her team, and they need her.

The lines between good and bad are sometimes blurred, throughout the story. This often keeps you wondering if certain characters are good people doing bad things, or if they are bad people doing good things. Though the book does contain some violence, it is less graphic than what you might regularly see on prime time TV, and it stays relevant to the story.

Yet, it isn't all about spy stuff. There are many intricacies. Human relationships, young people enjoying the fun things they do at that age, touching friendships and budding romance, all are lingering on the edge of a dark hole, and must be kept safe. The hardships and calamities of doing such a tough job give it still more added dimension. The heart and soul are still there.

This is not the first book in the series, yet, it still works well as a stand-alone read.

This was an exciting book. It kept me on my toes especially at the end.

Christy Hadden is put on a team to search out a car theft ring. She finds her self undercover as a High School(er), and is thrown right into the think of things.

There are some fabulous characters on her team and they seem to have quite a good relationship. Most of the time. When they were being casual with each other their banter was funny. They knew how to have each others back when the time came. They worked really well together.

Jeremy doesn't seem to be too keen on Christy going under cover. Christy feels like she has displeased him some how. Lets just say their relationship is not quite what a handler and agent should be ;),

There are a lot of twists and turns, and a lot of bad guys. It is wonderful. It made me sad that the bad guys were recruiting High School(ers), but it made for an exciting story. The book was written really well, and I connected with all the characters. Not just the MC's. I love it when a book does that. Some of those characters were shady and horrible people, but the author did a good job in making me feel how the MC's were feeling toward these individuals.

This was a fun, exciting, edge of your seat, intense, suspenseful books. It just was so fun to read. I hope you get a chance to pick it up and read it. It was a great book.

I must admit, I didn't read this first book, Adrenaline Rush, before reading Hotwire. In fact, I still haven't read it- and now I really want to. Hotwire is a very enjoyable young adult mystery/thriller novel with a spunky main character and unique side characters. It's also able to be read as a standalone novel, so no worries about Adrenaline Rush!

This is a rather fun and light mystery that keeps you guessing throughout the story. I think my main problem with Hotwire was simply that it was too light for me. It doesn't mean that Hotwire was bad; it's mostly just a matter or preference. Hotwire isn't necessarily detailed in its descriptions of settings or characters, but it makes up for that in the plot. It's fast-paced and exciting to the end.

The romance is not the main focus of the story but Christy's relationship and interactions with Jeremy is an important part of Hotwire. Since Jeremy is Christy's handler (they interact a lot because of this), their romance is "forbidden". The romance didn't really have that "forbidden" taste going on for me, and it seemed kind of silly to add that there. And I just didn't find Jeremy to be an attractive or likable character. Maybe it's because I didn't read the first book, but I just wasn't really able to understand the full scope of their relationship and who Jeremy was.

Overall though, I really enjoyed Hotwire and I'll be adding Adrenaline Rush to my to-read list- it looks like it's going to be a fun read and it'll be nice to get more background on Christy. This book is definitely recommended for YA mystery lovers.

Chrissy Hadden is a young spy teamed up with three others to find a stolen car. To uncover the car theft ring, she goes undercover at a high school where the very wealthy and poor mix. The suspected teens are rough characters, ones that Chrissy's team is hesitant about her contacting. But, the director wants the car found, and he will take no excuses.

As Chrissy infiltrates the team she is thrown into the chaos of the Russian mafia and men who will kill with no thought. Throughout it all, she must pose as the girl friend of one of the suspects, a boy with wicked tendencies and sociopathic behavior. When she uncovers a child kidnapping plot Chrissy can't back down, and if she doesn't win, people will die.

My Thoughts-
Wow, this is a really raw and intense book. The author doesn't fool around. The teenage characters that are part of the car theft ring are dark and scary. They live in a world of wealth and privilege, but they are angry and violent people. The tension is so high as Chrissy is forced to enter their world and flirt and later date these boys. Plus, people die. No one is safe. I was shocked at the end of the book.

Our main character is 19, so this book is at the very top range of the YA scene, but with all the teenagers at the high school, I'd definitely say this is YA. Chrissy is amazing. I really wanted to know more about her and wished there had been more on her entrance into espionage, but at the end of the book I realized this wasn't the first novel, so my only criticism evaporated.

Hold on for a wild ride, because this book delivers! 5 Stars!

Hotwire was an adventure and suspense filled story about Christy, an eighteen-year-old spy who works for a US black ops unit. This is the second book in the series, but you could read the stories separately up to this point as the missions are completely separate. Christy is an interesting character as is her team and I like how their friendship and camaraderie develop as they work together. There is also some sweet romance, but it definitely isn't a focal point of the story.

I liked Hotwire much better than the first book. I think that is because the villains in this story aren't quite as manic and psychotic. It felt more authentic. There is still plenty of drama and some parts were unrealistic, but I enjoyed the story overall. The ending is intense and crazy. The author definitely wasn't afraid of letting her characters get a little, actually a lot, roughed up. I wasn't quite sure who would be alive at the end of this and who to trust.

Overall, an entertaining, through suspenseful and somewhat violent read. I would recommend Hotwire to those who enjoy reading YA or NA suspense.

Content: Innuendo, abuse, attempted rape, and violence.

It's true. What the blurb says above? You won't want to put this book down. I sure didn't want to but I expected that going in. I looked at my day when I started this book and thought it was going to be tough putting the book down when I had to do so many other things that day as well. If you've read anything by Cindy Hogan, you know that she writes suspense and tension really well. All of her books, for me, have been fast paced, full of action with killer tension.

I first got to know Christy in the Watched trilogy and now she has developed into a young woman and a first class spy. It's also true what the blurb above says about the romance. There is only a dash, much to my frustration. Christy has her eye on Jeremy but not much happens on that front. Just a bit of teasing by the writer that makes you want to beg for more. haha. The bad guys in this book will give you shivers (not the good kind either). There are a lot of bad guys!

This book was good fun to read. I loved the pull the book had and the constant forward movement. I'll definitely be coming back for the next book when it comes out. I hope it's soon!

Content: Some graphic, intense violence, kissing

This book had me on the edge of my seat for every page. I loved it! Every turn there was something happening and it had such shady characters, I didn't know who to trust, or what could possibly happen next. Cindy took Christy to another level of awesomeness with Hotwire. I have to admit, the last half of the book kept me up late to see how it would all pull together. As much as I have enjoyed the other Christy books, this one was my favorite. Mostly because of one person, Jeremy. I was thrilled that he was in it so much and that we were able to see some sparks fly between him and Christy. Christy's character continues to amaze me. I love how smart and resourceful she is. I also love how her brain works. Christy is constantly thinking and I love that she can handle herself. There were some parts in the end where I had a stomach ache, worried with so much anxiety as to how they were going to get out of the situation they were in. Hotwire is an amazing book and so much fun! It will be a long wait for Fatal Exchange.

4 out of 5 stars! Non-stop action and solid writing.

My first introduction to Christy was the book "Watched" and even though I read it a few years ago I remember really liking it. Sadly I haven't read any other Christy novels until this one so I don't know how she became a spy but I will say she is great at it. I really enjoyed this book and Cindy really pulls you in quick and keeps you entertained. The storyline of car thefts and the mob was a good one. It was crazy to read how good these young people were at stealing cars and I couldn't believe the positions most of them were faced with. Some of them were so far gone that they were callous and certified psychopaths and I hated losing some of my favorite characters. I also felt like there wasn't a lot of justice done and I felt a little cheated in the ending but overall this was a great book and it had all my favorite things like romance, mystery, and action. Great job Cindy, I'm hoping to hear a little more of this story resolved in the next one and I look forward to reading more from this author and I would definitely recommend to friends.
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

WHAT IT'S ABOUT
Division spy Christy Hadden can't wait for her latest assignment posing as a student at a prestigious New York City academy and car thief extraordinaire.

MY TAKE
I've been a Christy fan ever since I read the first book, Watched. There's always plenty of action and drama and people to care about. She's still young for someone with her responsibilities, and she struggles to get the respect her brains and experience give her.

This book provided a twist I'd kind of been wishing for. I won't spoil it. But it makes me smile right now, just thinking about it. Definitely a thrilling read.

I love picking up a book that absorbs me from page one! Hogan cleverly created characters with detail, who are both relatable and grounded, making it easy to transport to the world of the high school students. This is a book that truly confirms how imperative the adolescent years are and how every decision can affect future interactions. ‘Hotwire’ kept me quickly turning the pages as I couldn’t wait to finish. Christy is a character who unconventional women can easily support with her caring nature integrated with her ‘tough’ exterior.

Hogan has once again presented a novel with consistency that keeps you biting your nails while on the edge of your seat which makes for an overall exhilarating read! I appreciate how readers will be speculating about the end in the first 50 pages rather than over half way through - as seem to be standard in this genre - while even still resulting in an astonishing conclusion! I would recommend this and many others from Author Cindy Hogan as she never disappoints when she sets pen to paper!
