WTF, Noah?!
Noah, you really should meet Nathan, the two of you have several things in common, I think y'all would get along great...
I do not even know how to express how shocked I still am in words. I literally stared at my kindle and forced myself to read the last chapter over again.
I hate to give away any details on the book because I feel that each person should experience it for themselves.
This book started and ended with heartache, my emotions were all over the place, my jaw wasn't able to close, I was and still am very pissed off, this is not okay, Noah!

***2.5 Lost and Confused Stars***
Unfortunately, what started out as oddly entertaining and intriguing has quickly lost its luster and turned into simply odd. There is no real chemistry between the MC's and the story feels forced and disjointed in this second installment.

WTF NOAH?! WTF DID YOU JUST DO?!

Okay, let's back it up a little bit and start from the beginning:
Vain ended up with such a cliffhanger that we've all been waiting rather impatiently for Part 2!
So we pick it up exactly where we left off in the first book, in Noah Foster's new art exhibition, featuring pictures of nude women in the verge of an orgasm, their faces lit up with lust and release. Unfortunately, Alexa is one of them...
Like that's not enough reason for Alexa to fall apart and get into a panic attack, Brighton Beck is right there, to remind her of their regretful past in Paris...
And Beck acts like he wants the whole world to know they've once been intimate, especially in front of Noah. Of course, the inevitable happens and Noah finds out about Alexa's past, just brushing past her and leaving her all alone in New York, feeling degraded and in shame...
Beck was very...VERY annoying! I haven't read about such an arrogant and self-centered character in a book for a while now.
"What are you doing here Alexa? (...) Did you hear that I'd be here?"
Yeah, JACKASS, she's just there to kneel in front of you and kiss your feet.
I don't buy the whole bullshit, either.
I think he is miserable and just wants Alexa to be miserable, too.
"I came here for you."
"You came here because I was your second choice. I will always be your second choice."
"You're his second choice too. When she takes him back, he'll drop you in a second."
I won't comment on the whole Ari and Camilla mess for now. I want to know more about the situation first. But I have to admit that Ari really pisses me off!
And Noah...
He was really charming at times.
"The woman in the portrait isn't you. She's not as beautiful as you. (...) She looks like you, but she's not perfect like you."
"You bringing me a sandwich is our thing. I like that we have a thing."
He was adorable when he was jealous.
"Alexa," he whispers my name, this time against my lips. "Let me help you forget him."
Before I get started with ranting about the shit-storm he started at the end of the book, I'd like to put a finger to the issue of his insistence to remain naked, like, ALL THE TIME!
I mean, it's your house and you can do whatever you want in it, of course. But when the delivery man or your best friend comes at your door, FOR GODSAKE, just put on your pants before answering the door!
Now, let's come to the most important issue of this book, shall we?
Noah Foster...
I REFUSE to believe that the man that said things like these to Alexa:
"Don't think that, Alexa." He reaches for my hand without looking at me. "I don't know how to breathe without you anymore. Don't ever think that."
"No one on this earth is as important to me as you. No one, Alexa."
...could do THAT to her!
I'm pretty sure that but no. JUST NO. That's no excuse to pull that shit off!

To say this is how you keep us wanting more is such an understatement. This book is exactly what you envision when you are reading a continuation in a series. It was more in depth, insightful and so well developed and written. As always when I read Deborah's books my stomach is always clenching because you can and will expect a OMFG cliff-hanger, that's the reason its a serial book! Am such a huge fan of Deborah because she doesn't sell us short. I read a lot and the biggest difference with her serials as opposed to many is the quality with which she writes and I value that a lot. An in the end we are left so completely satisfied that you cannot wait to continue on your reading journey. Bravo once again for another brilliant series ! Now bring on Vain -Part Three

Alexa arrives at the show in New York while waiting patiently for Noah. Instead her past arrives. Beck makes no secret that he wants her back. Noah seems to have a flock of woman vying for his attention and all seem to look a lot similar to Alexa. After the disastrous New York weekend, Noah starts to open up a bit more. He tells Alexa about his scar and she understands his insecurities. He seems besotted with Alexa and their relationship seems to grow. However there seem to be a few warning signs along the way. First Beck warns her. Then Ari, who is supposed to be Noah’s best friend, also warns her. It seems that everyone still believes that Camilla has a hold over Noah. When Noah decides to do something out of his comfort zone, Alexa is thrilled until she arrives for their date. What Noah did to Alexa was soul destroying and you will have empathy for her. This books ends on a cliff hanger and you really will be left feeling rather perplexed over Noah and what he has done. Can he redeem himself in book3? Can Alexa get to the bottom of this or should she run as fast as she can to get away? The author has done a superb job of once again, enticing the reader. There is so much mystery and suspense. I am looking forward to book 3.

No, No, No Noah you did not just do that!!!! I thought the last cliffhanger had me with my mouth open. This one unhinged my jaw. My right mind is saying "Say it ain't so". Again I don't want to drop any spoilers here but you have to read this series. Alexa friends are planning her birthday party. Beck shows up. Noah is planning to take her to New York for the weekend to show her the sites.. Their relationship is doing great. Twists and turns everywhere. It's just a pity poor Alexa seems to be at the end of all the heartache. Noah is winning in my book as being the biggest azzhole in book history!

He's an asshole and he doesn't respect you at all if he is walking around naked in front of other women. Period! Go to Paris and be done with it! Holy shit that was crazy!!! This author is amazing and I'm addicted to her books!! I typically stay away from series (especially books in a series that end in MAJOR cliffhangers) until all the books are released but for some reason I can't stay away from these books....they are like book crack!!
Ms. Bladon's books are short but they pack quite the punch. I devour each one and thankfully I don't have to wait very long for the next one. There will be one more book in this series and I am DIEING to read it! I would definitely recommend her books .... they are seriously sexy, most have a decent amount of mystery to them and the writing flows so nicely. I swear, I start reading and before I know it I'm at the end and don't realize it.
In this one Alexa drives me a little batty b/c I want her to ask Noah all the questions she has swirling around in her mind. I know she doesn't want to bombard him and she actually ends up communicating well with him. I love how he changed so much since they've been together and how he put her mind at ease. Beck got on my nerves and Ari is just a plain bitch. What the hell was with that ending???? I will be counting down the days until the 22nd and I can get my hands on the final book. I must know more about Noah and Camilla!!

Well just when you thought you were loving Noah Foster, he went and did what he did at the end of part one. But after a moment to explain, Alexa sees the truth to his words. Too bad Becks shows up forcing Noah’s jealousy to appear. Now not only do these two have to battle his fear of going out into the world but Beck seems to want more from Alexia.
Just as Noah and Alexia find their footing the rug is pulled out from underneath them as his past makes an appearance.
I feel like the author really wants us to hate Noah Foster. With everything he does that paints him in a good light, there are a handful of incidents that make you question him. But this is where my love of the asshole heroes works for me. I still loved him. And believe me, there was reason to hate him.
Where book one gave us a lot of erotic moments, part two fed us a bit of the story and left us wanting more. There is more to Noah Foster than what we’ve seen so far. We did get another cliffhanger ending, but luckily part three is already out.

Oh my goodness I don't know why I keep reading these books, probably because their amazing but so frustrating at the same time.
Every time I think he's a dick, he bounces back to being awesome and then he's right back to be a fuckwit again with Camilla.
I mean seriously why does she have to go through so much shit with him, why can't he be truthful? Why is it that every time she turns a corner with him he's right back to shattering her.
Fuuuucccckkkkk... I really hope this gets turned around in the next book. It's so much like the pulse series it's crazy.

Okay, I must confess my obsession with Mrs. Bladon's work! I simply adore her writing style and EVERY single character she writes. (Her female characters are one of the best I've had the pleasure of meeting.) This book is no exception. Thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish, even though I really want to hit Noah over the head. Ahem. Right. I hope the next part will make me jump back on his boat. :S

Words cannot even express what emotions I am going through after reading this book! My stomach is in knots and it's going to be miserable until part three comes out. Deborah, you have done it again! I absolutely love Alexa and Noah and I don't want their story to end! Although I would like some answers. I'm definitely going to be reading it again and again until the next part.

Well I was very happy at the start of this book to find out that Noah hadn’t betrayed Alexa and it was a mistake on Alexa’s part. Now I’m completely pissed 😤 and disappointed with him even more. I really hope Alexa doesn’t get destroyed by him.

I received an ARC.. and although Deborah Bladon indicated a review was not necessary, being the book lover that I am, I'll write a review. I loved the book so much I also went and bought a copy for my Nook.:)
Having read all of the DB series, I don't know who I hate to love more, Noah or Nathan. Since I just got through reading a Vain book, I'll go with NOAH! He is THEE biggest asshole! But the way he sexes Alexa... ooooooohhhh my goodness... :) *tongue wagging* Noah, being described so sexy, hot, beautiful, perfect, has me struggling with him being such a recluse... I get it though.
I also love Alexa! She is strong minded and speaks her mind. I hate that Beck still has an effect on her, though I guess a "Great love" wouldn't be that if you woke up one day and were over it.
If you thought the ending of Vain Part 1 was something... and left you in shock especially about Alexa and all the women (plural) looking like her... get a load of Part II !!!!!!!!
Deborah knows how to write a cliffhanger...! She has you fiending like a crack addict... at each and every last page, leaving you in countdown mode until the next part *sigh*
I can't say much more without spoilers... so with that being said...
I think that the Vain series is the best of Deborah's series so far, watching her writing improve and her plots thicken *rubbing my hands* lol has been a joy. I also love how all the characters are some how intertwined, who who would've guess you'd be discussing, Liz or even NATHAN in this series??!????? Deborah gives (sometimes) mini updates through a completely different series and without back tracking or causing the reader to pause in confusion. To the reader who hasnt read all of her series, someone like Beck, Sadie, or Nathan being mentioned is just another juicy detail in the storyline, however to the "DB ADDICTS" we soak all the details like the fiends Deborah is fast turning us into.
With ALL of that being said... *frustrated sigh* Deborah Bladon Is it time for VAIN PART III YET?????? :)
