Assaults from all sides, space armadas as well as spies and political ambitions threaten the galactic peace. It is not a good idea to wage war with Jason...

There is an author, who goes by the name of Fel. He releases his stories, chapter by chapter to the internet. They vary in genres, including fantasy and sci-fi. Several of these books are comparable in length to the epic story Les Miserable's, or longer.
Another Excellent continuation of the Subjugation universe. Sadly still mired by needless repetition and an almost unfocused style that is in need of some editing. We are introduced to a lot of new characters, and a fair few new races. Sadly a lot of them are glossed over without much detail or explanation. But the ones that are explored in more detail are fun. I'd also like to point out that, maybe as a result of there being so many characters, a lot of them are almost reduced to catch phrases. Here's a drinking game for this book. Every time you read the phrase "I own you man/woman" or read a reference to someone being paddled or spanked in a playful or flirty manner, take a drink. You'll not last long. The author clearly has a very rich and detailed view of the universe he's created, and sometimes gets bogged down in describing it to the reader. Which means that every time Jason gets on a space ship we have to be re-introduced to the captain, and often the banter between Jason and said character is rather rote. Also the editing has fallen short in a few areas where the author has clearly written a piece of text a few different ways, deciding which phrasing was best, and just left them in. For example:
"... blowing across the island and out to sea, which was stunting the waves that usually crashed on the beach. The wind usually blew in from the sea in that direction, but a storm to the northwest was pushing the air against its usual pattern, and that stunted the waves that usually crashed along the beach."
Thankfully this isn't very common at all, but I felt it worth pointing out that an otherwise 5/5 book is once again being let down by the editing in more ways than one. I absolutely think it's an enjoyable read regardless, but be warned that these issues still persist.
Overall the new aliens, space-politics, and technology are great and worth any lack of editorial oversight. And it does a very good job of setting up the next book. I look forward to the upcoming war with the Syndicate, the expansion of the Confederation, and more drunken revelry with Kreel, who is an easy favorite among the newly introduced characters.
