I'm still trying to process everything after finishing this book last night! I felt the urge to write down my thoughts. One of my biggest wishes is for Jessica to keep this series going. I can hardly believe how long it’s been since she dropped a new book in this universe! It’s such a joy to dive into this world filled with gods, demigods, demons, witches, vampires, and a ton of magical creatures.
To be honest, I have to admit that I put off reading this book for quite a while. I was planning to wait for Miss Jessica to release the next book so I could have a binge-reading session. Unfortunately, she hasn’t put out anything new in this series yet. I finally decided to pick up this book a bit later than I intended, but I was really surprised by how much I liked it! I'm really hoping she’ll drop a new installment in this amazing world soon.
I want to share a bit about this incredible and compassionate demigod who risked her own safety to save a demon that could have easily betrayed her. She's also dedicated to protecting humanity and is on a quest to rescue her sister and restore balance to the world.
The long-forgotten Gods, once relegated to the shadows of history, have returned, bringing with them a storm of chaos and destruction that engulfs the world. Their previous enjoyment in inflicting suffering upon humans has diminished; their new target is the immortals. Daemon, a demon, finds himself imprisoned alongside Nox's other demigod sibling. Nox perceives Daemon as the perfect partner to assist her in their escape, and she takes it upon herself to help him break free,, leading them both on a quest. Yet, the adventure that unfolds is far more complicated and intimidating than they had ever imagined.

When the fearsome projections of terrible things happening to earth actually start to happen, things get real. And they get especially real for Daemon. Now, normally, one wouldn’t have a lot of sympathy for a demon (yes, an actual demon sprung from the mouth of hell) getting kidnapped and tortured, but Daemon is special. Nearly as special as the shadowy eponymous figure that springs him from his shackles albeit temporarily to assist in trying to salvage something for humanity.
At once terrifying and heart wrenching, this story will get you right in the gut. Another brilliant installment in this brilliant series by the amazing Jessica Gadziala.

The Demigod
The MMC is a fun loving demon and the MFC is soft hearted and determined. They balance each other really well.
Some lines I liked - this feels so much like RL,
“So, for the time being, we were stuck here. Running around like squirrels in traffic. No direction. No understanding of what was going on.”
Yep, squirrels in traffic. And I loved this idea,
““Passenger princesses get to drink coffee, control the radio, point out cows, and take naps,” he informed me, waving it off.”
I'm still really enjoying the clashing of Christian and ancient Greek mythologies. Lots of fun.

I sure hope JG continues this series because I love it. This book left me with wanting more. I love this series. I want to know what happens and how the other characters are evolving. The world going to hell in a handbasket really needs us, specifically me, to delve deeper into this world and characters. Time for a reread starting at the beginning.

somehow, it is the least favourite. I reread the whole series before reading this one , and I enjoyed everyone, but this one.. I am guessing I did not enjoy the idea of the new gods' dynamics. kind of sad as I generally love jessica gadziala books

The old Gods have woken up and are wreaking havoc on Earth.
Torturing humans isn't enough for them anymore. Now they are going after immortals too.
Daemon gets himself kidnapped by a group of them and ends up chained in castle basement in excruciating pain from their both mental and physical torture. Its a woman demigod named Nox who saves him. But that comes with a twist.
It was nice to get a more detailed background on who the old gods are and how they are related. Earth is certainly no longer what is used to be.. Even ole Satan himself isnt happy with what the Gods are doing.
Now that the world has gone post-apocalyptic, I cant wait for more books in this series to see how things are going to work out.

Daemon is a party boy loving life up top with the humans till he is captured by the old gods and then it’s no longer fun. He can’t be killed but he can be tortured physical and mentally.
Nox is a Demigod, daughter of Nyx and a human father, sibling of those evil gods and searching for their other sibling who can put a stop to chaos they are causing and pain they are inflicting.
She needs the Demon to help her and he agrees but she has to lock him back up each morning.
Side by side they look for her sister, encounter demons who shouldn’t be on this plain and both are growing weaker while growing closer to each other

Nox has been helping humans escape the hands of the gods when she sees Daemon is not human.
Together they make a plan to set things right. Shit hits the fan and they succeed but not unscathed.
I adore the continuation of this series and all the foreshadowing for future books.
Do I see a Arick and Aggie story 🤔 👀?!? Let's hope so!! That would be explosive!

This series will make everyone love paranormal reads. I adore everything about Daemon and Nox. He was always a favorite since he arrived on the earthly plane. I am absolutely thrilled that Nox was a genuinely good character and worked herself so hard to save people and still loved Daemon for who he is. There was no need to convince her that he was right for her or safe for her or anything like that. They just worked perfectly together. Now, I need more demons...soon...and I want all the other characters too... especially Arick.

WOW, DemiGod is a trial from beginning to end!! For one of Jessica Gadziala's books where they are more light and sunny, either at the beginning or in the middle, DemiGod is harsh. Not harsh, as in I didn't like the book, I absolutely LOVED the book, but feeling the pain the characters and the outside world is going through is rough.
Daemon has agreed to go on sort of a reconnaissance mission to figure outwhy the citizenry is so miserable, and as he's leaving he's hit with a wave of power so strong he doesn't want to get up. It's the kind of power that just knocks him down with its sadness, and keeps him down with what he can feel is the either person or God coming up behind him.
Nox is a DemiGod, the daughter of a God and a human, and she hates what's going in the world around her. Nox has minor powers, the power to hide herself so that she can free others that are being held captive from the God's that are currently on earth having a blast and creating all the sadness, dullness, grief, etc. But she doesn't have the power to heal herself after she heals someone else and her powers are quickly diminishing.
When Nox finds Daemon and realizes he could probably help her find who she's looking for, they make a pact - a rather sad pact, to lock him back up each night so the God's don't know he's gone missing while Nox is sleeping. And what happens after is just a sad set of trials wherein Nox loses more and more of her powers, and Daemon has to endure more of the God's torture while she's gone.
Ohhhh... and I forgot to mention the SEX!! Holy moly, the sexy times between Nox and Daemon is OFF THE CHARTS! And each time it does a little bit toward healing Nox, but Nox is angry with herself a little bit because she feels like she's ignoring the true trial of what they're meant to be doing, and in the meantime Daemon is shouting in his head and heart "MINE"!!
When Daemon finally realizes that Nox is getting so weak she can't really help him, he reaches out to another DemiGod friend of his who's house is protected, but really has no idea what's going on, but he'll try to help for sure. About this time it all starts getting really crazy, and I'm not even going to talk about that, because it would spoil the whole adventure for you, but don't WORRY, you definitely don't want to miss it!!
Y'all, DemiGod? I would TOTALLY give it a 10⭐️ if I could! Daemon and Nox are two of my favorite characters by Jessica Gadziala in YEARS, I hope we can have more of the Seven Sins soon, the writing is HEAVENLY!!

Book 6 *Possible Spoilers* in Review
This book was long awaited for me, I absolutely loved this series and was heartbroken when I found out there wasn’t a 6th book. When it finally came out I was so excited, but for me it just wasn’t what I was expecting. The Professor left me with many questions, ones I was hoping would all get answered with a final book, but this one seems to end semi abruptly with lingering questions and the ending was pretty vague. We still have zero answers as to where Red is, she seemed to play a pretty significant role in the previous books and is mentioned again in this book, but we still don’t know anything else about what happened to her. I was hoping to get a book with her story. You also find out that the didn’t save the world, but rather that the Gods are still kind of ruining man-kind and Nyx isn’t doing anything about it. Why? Is there going to be another book or was this story supposed to finish the series? This just wasn’t it for me unfortunately.

Oh baby, am I glad to be back in the demon world with all the weird, wonderful, and scandalous fork tongues and horn pulling.
Nox learned about her reality in a very unconventional way and unfortunately had to face some harsh realities on her own facing more than a few unpleasant situations. But this woman despite it all is a tough cookie who stans for what's right and does her best. She's sweet, feels with her whole heart and tries her best.
Daemon is just a sweet bowl of sensual goodness wrapped in a sinful package of cheeky flirtatious quips and saucy smirks. Does he endeavour to help the woman in distress? Absolutely.. even if it means a little torture. He is just delightful. Strong, protective, and sweet with all the right words and even better actions.
I love them. She's shy and sweet, and he's forward and flirty. The combination just hits right in all the best ways that had me kicking, giggling, and blushing all at once.

These two meet very early on and spend the entire book working together. They run into some problems but fall in love along the way. It was fun watching as they realized how much they meant to each other and how deeply those feelings went. Both of them worried about the other and the danger they were in.
I enjoyed getting to see Arick the warlock again and hope he gets a book too! I also can’t wait to get Aram and Red’s story. Nox’s sibling are still causing trouble so I hope we get to catch up with these characters soon to see what all is happening.

This book shines as another example of Jessica Gadziala's mastery of storytelling.
Sure, I've read other books about gods, demigods, demons, witches, vampires, and everything in between but it isn't often that the author makes me care about those characters like Ms. Gadziala does in this book.

Sure, I've read other books about gods, demigods, demons, witches, vampires, and everything in between but it isn't often that the author makes me care about those characters like Ms. Gadziala does in this book.

Nox is a Demigod that is trying to save her sister to restore balance in the world. Daemon is a demon who happens to get kidnapped the Nox’s other demigod siblings. She decided Daemon would be the perfect one to help her, and she helps get him free to join in the search. Unfortunately, the search was far more complicated than either of them anticipated.
I really enjoyed reading this story. There is always so much going on that putting it down is really hard! I really liked Nox’s character. I liked her vulnerability, and Daemons protectiveness over her.
I’ve always really liked this series. I can’t wait for more I’m really hoping Lucy will get a story soon!

GREAT CHARACTERS!
This was a fun story but also a punishing one when Daeman and Nox encounter the cruelty of her siblings, I was glad Daeman got a partner at last in Nox, the demigod. They had to rescue Nox’s sister trapped by Nox’s other siblings and then free the witch held hostage by them. First they had to chance going to the Underworld for poppies. The poppies could be “cooked” to form an elixir which would incapacitate her captors so that she could be freed.
Sounds as complicated as one might think and it is but it’s well worth reading. I loved it!
