After all that has happened in his hometown of Boykins, VA. Tre is ready to move on and start fresh. He's had more than enough of the constant drama and chaos that Boykins seem to filled with. So in an effort to change and become a better man he relocates to Jordan City, VA but his baby mama Kisha is not to thrill with the fact that she's been left behind. Feeling like he owes her for destroying their family, she will do everything in her power to insure that the transition to a peaceful drama free life is not an easy one.

This was an enjoyable, yet emotional book. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but I will say that Kisha showed out. She disrespected Tre, his parent, her kids and herself. She just can't get it in her head that is over for her and Tre. I don't think Tre will ever find a true love. Lots like he will forever pay for his deep, dark past. I know she had a rough childhood, but Novie is just psychotic, and Tre read read right through her from the beginning. I loved everything about this book. The cover attracted me, and the story pulled we right in; picking up right where Side Chic 5 left off. I hope book two drops in early 2015. I will be finishing the rest of Ms. West's work.

this book was so good I couldn't put it down I read it in like 2 days even though I had a lot of homework to do. that's how bad I wanted to finish it. I love me some Tre even though he was a wh*re back when LALA was alive. I'm glad that he gotten himself together, and there for his kids like most men should be doing it's awesome that he's being a mother and a father to his daughter. And Kisha a word kept getting on my last nerves her a word is sooo annoying it;s like she shouldn't wait to become a thot and start acting ratchet-like she couldn't pretend anymore. she made me angry when she ran off the bridge with the kids ol nasty heifer.

Omg like Kisha soo freqking annoying like ugh man I hope them kids aren't dead . Ima be so upset and mad idc about her she straight crazy as what. And that Novie girl is the cause of it because I think she wouldn't have done it if Mina didn't tell her what novie said.. Ugh I feel so bad for Tre and top it off his daddy had a heart attack .. Like man I'm irritated...

I love the spinoff

Omg I can’t believe Kisha went that far to do something so drastic because of Tre not wanting her no more that is crazy as hell. Novie I was liking you till you seemed to have a nasty attitude I know you have been going through things but damn girl. Poor Tre this is all hitting him so hard.

Great Follow Up to the Side Chic series

This is a great follow up from the last Side Chic book. Tre has somewhat matured more since the tragedies that took place from the last book. I am glad to see he was all about raising his kids instead of skirt chasing. He even took it slow with the new woman he started seeing and was mature enough to cut it off early when she showed signs of being "crazy"

I hated that Kisha did a total 360 in her personality. I had to refer back to the earlier Side Chic books to make sure this was the same person since she changed so drastically. There were some indication in the last book that she was losing it but she is totally far gone in this book. And I pray that she did not do what I think she did at the end. As much dirt Tre has done, he doesn't deserve another tragedy. He already had to deal with something else at the end, which was sad (but I knew it was going to happen), but this would really kill Jim.

I hope this is NOT the end because there is too many cliffhangers remaining.

Also the spelling and grammar errors were a little annoying.

Overall, it's a good book.

Sooooo I read the blurb to this book and was thinking hmmm sounds interesting.

However I got to around 35% and realized.... yeah no this can't be book one or if it is these are some seriously underdeveloped characters. So I quickly paused and looked at some reviews. Surprise!

Apparently this is some type of spin off from the authors side chic collection so I would actually need to go read those other books in order to understand this one... yeah okay...

So I stopped at the 35% mark. I am sure the books are pretty interesting... just not currently interested so maybe one day.

Tre did some growing up in this book, maybe a little late in the game but growth is good and he definitely needed it. I wanted to like Novie, but as the story unfolded she wasn't my favorite. I felt for Nelle and even Mina. But Kisha...I wanted to shake her, shake some sense into her. I know being hurt in love can be an indescribable pain but it's sad to let it overtake you, especially to the point of losing yourself and not thinking rationally. Pretty good story, I enjoy Ms. West's writing and will continue to read her work.

First things first.. KISHA really made me sick throughout this book.. I know she is hurt, but her actions will not make the situation any better..

Now on to my guy that I hate to love...love to hate:

TRE: I have hated Tremaine in the past because he has been a dirty dog... that being said...I have still had a love for him because he does try...espeially for his kids. LA'TONYA West.. girl you really made me cry on this one... I thought book 3 and 4 had me reaching for Kleenex.

Tre

When it rains it pours for Tre. Tre needed to find his self before he tried to move on with Novie. I understood Kisha side but she also had to remember you can't let a man keep doing what you allow him to do and still have respect for you. Novie is just trifling she didn't have to Tre at that moment she should of been said something. Then tell him he needs to get his kids. What she needs to do is tell the truth so her Mother can come home. If there is a part 2 please don't let Tre get back with Novie cause she has a lot to do why Kisha done what she did.

Wow

Kisha has really went nuts in this book. Mina should have have kept her mouth closed about people cause she is about to hurt a lot of people around her what was the point?! Her and Kisha has a lot more in common being vindictive people. Wow I can't wait for the next installment of this book I am truly shocked at the way this book ended.

OMG I loved the side chic series but loved this one all the same.I loved getting to know how Tre felt about about Lala and Keisha.I hated Keisha even more this book because she was just being stupid as hell.Novie was crazy as hell she really needs to see someone about that.I can't believe that ending it broke my heart I hope in part two the boys are okay

Drama-filled storyline that held my attention. While this is my introduction to Tre & his drama, I must say this change that he's made was for the best. Tre's dealing with Kisha was exhausting. He definitely had love for his kids. Now I have to go & read the previous books that brought on Kisha's madness & Tre's change.
