Ever since I can remember, I've always had a passion for Creative Writing. There's something special about being able to travel to a different place or become a different person with just the stroke of a pen--or in today's world a touch of the keyboard. Maybe it all started with the soap opera-level drama I used to script for my Barbie dolls. Plot twists, emotional arcs, surprise twins—it was basically a writer’s room before I even knew what one was. Whatever the spark, storytelling quickly became my favorite way to explore, create, and shake up reality just a little. I love stories that keep me on my toes. The kind that push me outside my comfort zone and introduce me to characters I either want to be friends with... or dramatically argue with in a fictional diner.

I love traveling to scout out new and exciting settings for my books—but nothing beats a peaceful walk in the woods or a seat by the ocean close to home. Turns out, plot twists and inspiration show up just fine with a sea breeze and squirrels.

“I loved him more than he would ever know. He was the only guy that was able to help me break the chains that were binding my heart for so long and I would be forever grateful to him for it.” -Nicole

What a bonus An Unplanned Life was! That is what it felt like to me. I felt like I was getting a little something extra from my favorite couple and favorite Irish man! An Unplanned Lesson is one of my favorite books of the year. It was an adorable romantic novel that had a twist at the end that gave the story heart.

description

Warning, spoilers below if you have not read An Unplanned Lesson.

In An Unplanned Lesson we met Nicole, a second grade teacher who has a special relationship with a student in her class, Ryan who lost his parents in an accident and now lives with his Uncle. His uncle turns out to be Dailan! He and Nicole have this fun, flirtatious, friendship that crosses so many lines but in the end they fall in love and I absolutely adored them in every way possible!

An Unplanned Life is not only a sequel to where Nicole, Dailan, and Ryan are in their lives but also a prequel. It gave the story so much more by being able to understand what Nicole went through in high school and being pregnant with Ryan and choosing to give him for adoption. I admired her so much more than I did before after reading of what she went through. I felt so much more connected to both Nicole and Ryan because of this.

The book goes back and forth between past and present but mostly focuses on the present time. Dailan and Nicole are married with a new baby, Ella as part of their family. Ladies, if you thought chauvinistic pig Dailan was hot in An Unplanned Lesson, just wait until you meet loving, adoring husband Dailan in An Unplanned Life. He jumped shot up to a new book boyfriend after this book! Oh my… he is amazing and loves Nicole so much. He fought for him family and it only made him sexier. There is also a new villain you will love to hate, Rachel. A girl from Nicole’s past who continues to make her life a living hell 10 years later…. This time she works for Dailan in his law office and she still has it out to hurt Nicole in any way possible.

There is a lot more to An Unplanned Life… a lot more drama, Nicole’s past meets her present creating a lot of worry and stress. We meet a character Rachel and as I told the author, congratulations you just created the most hated character of 2013. Days later and I am still fuming over her craziness and what she put Nicole through! I love that even though Nicole and Dailan love one another so much, their relationship wasn’t perfect. They fought, they ignored each other, they didn’t always listen, and Nicole thinks Dailan puts work before family but they love each other and are a happy family.

An Unplanned Life was sweet, after reading the book I love the title even more. I loved how fate played a big role in all of their lives. I am so thankful Beth Rinyu gave me the privilege of being able to read & review this series. It was the perfect sequel/prequel after reading one of my favorites, An Unplanned Lesson.

I give An Unplanned Life (Unplanned #2) 4 Stars.

I absolutely LOVED "An Unplanned Life," a terrific follow-up to book 1, "An Unplanned Lesson." I "Pre-Ordered" this from Amazon and when I got it, as anxious as I was to read it I just couldn't because I was uncertain of what was going to happen to Dailan and Nicole even though I knew in the back of my mind they'd still be together in the end. I know, you may think I'm weird or whatever, but it's how I felt. Suffice to say I finally started the book and didn't stop until I got to the very end.

Dailan and Nicole are one of my all-time favourite couple; a couple with so much love and passion not only for themselves, but also for their two children. A lot of hot and passionate couples may cause my Kindle to spark, but Dailan and Nicole have basically short-circuited it out. Couples wish they had as much love as these two share.

"An Unplanned Life" is told from both Dailan and Nicole's POV. We're taken back to when Nicole became pregnant in high school. I was in tears reading what she went through; and anger to those who treated her with such disdain and cruelty. I could really feel her pain as it all felt so real.

Dailan and Nicole's happy marriage is put to the test as they're both barraged with serious problems that may possibly shatter their marriage. Some readers thought Nicole to be a little dramatic, mean and unreasonable. I don't agree. I completely understood where she was coming from. She had every right to feel the way she did. Seriously, what woman would be comfortable knowing her high-school nemesis is working alongside her husband? I also understood where Dailan was coming from that everything he was doing was for them. My heart went out to them both.

Unlike so many other novels where the hero may have a cordial working relationship with his secretary, regardless that she's his wife's high-school nemesis, or that he's unknowingly being set up which in turn will ruin his marriage, Dailan does the complete opposite. He doesn't fall for any of Rachel's charms or schemes to destroy his marriage. He actually tells her upfront his true feelings of disdain for her, erecting up a wall that Rachel cannot penetrate. This only made me love Dailan even more.

"An Unplanned Life" is a beautifully well-written story of true love. I highly recommend this to all lovers of the romance genre. I can only hope that you will love it as much as I did as it's a true gem. I'm tearful as this is the end of Dailan and Nicole's story and what a story it is. This is one HEA I'll always remember.

I look forward anxiously to reading future works of this amazing storyteller.

Oh, Dailan, Dailan, Dailan O’Maley. This book crushed me.

In An Unplanned Lesson, we met Dailan, Nicole and Ryan. And what we ended with was a beautifully messed up, perfectly matched family. I loved the first book so much.

In An Unplanned Life, we don’t get all the warm fuzzies like we did from the first book, and we experience everything slowly crumble from perfection.
This story is told from both Nicole’s and Dailan’s POVs, skipping from present day to chapters from Nicole’s past. As confusing as that may sound, the book flowed perfectly and I never found myself confused.
Some not-so-favorable characters come back from Nicole’s past, forcing her to confront old demons, whether she wants to or not. A bully from high school, the boy who knocked her up and all the drama that happened to her years earlier all come crashing into her life, putting her relationship with Dailan in jeopardy.
I was infuriated with EVERY SINGLE character in this book at one point or another. I was pissed at Nicole for being too sensitive. I was pissed with Dailan for not seeing what he was doing. I absolutely LOATHED Rachel Wiser and Jonathan…
But with all those intense emotions, Rinyu has a way of tying it all together in the end and delivering that HEA we all crave.

4.5 star review by Jen Skewes

I completely fell in love with Nicole and Dailan in An Unplanned Lesson. They were two people who were so in love, and meant to be together. I was so excited to find out that I would be getting more of them but at the same time was a little nervous about this one as well. I admit I was a little afraid of what might happen to them in this sequel. But the truth is that I know how much these two are meant to be together and that no matter what came their way they would be able to fight it. This was certainly an emotional journey but one that I absolutely loved. Beth Rinyu did not disappoint with this one.

Nicole and Dailan are living out their happily ever after. They are married and in love, raising Ryan together and have a daughter as well. Life for the two of them is so good right now. But slowly things start to take a turn in the wrong direction. Nicole's past literally comes back to haunt her in the form of the two people who made her life completely miserable when she was in high school. One of them being Rachel Wiser, the girl who tortured her in high school, made fun of her, let the whole school know she was pregnant. And now that Rachel is back and working for Dailan, all of her insecurities start to come out again. In my opinion Nicole has always been a strong woman. She went through one of the hardest moments in her life by herself, not even her own family was their to support her. She now has this amazing husband who loves her and two beautiful children. But there is something about Rachel being in town and working for her husband that causes her to feel like that insecure high school girl again. She loves Dailan and trust him, it's Rachel that she doesn't trust.

Dailan is a hot shot lawyer who goes after what he wants and fights for the cases he believes in. He is currently working on a big case that has been keeping him busy at work. While everyone at the firm is telling him he should just settle, but when this case becomes personal to him he knows he must fight to win it. Because winning this case means protecting his family. Dailan loves Nicole more than anything and would do anything to protect her and his family. But deciding not to settle and take this case to court, means working late nights and weekends, basically losing time spent with his family. Dailan fails to tell Nicole what is really going on, not because what he is doing is wrong but because he feels that he needs to protect her. While he thinks what he is doing for his family is the right thing, he becomes blind to the fact that his marriage was starting to crumble right in front of him and it was partly his fault.

I love Dailan and how much he loves Nicole and how he will fight for their family. But there were times when I became so frustrated with him. I got it, I understood his motives but his biggest issue was lack of communication. There were times when he just needed to talk to Nicole. He kept things from her but was doing it to protect her, not realizing that it only made things worse. But the cracks that started to form in their marriage were not all Dailan's fault. Nicole let the past come in between what she had with Dailan. Her worst enemy from her past is now working for her husband and she is not happy about it and honestly very concerned over the late hours and weekends that he is working.....with Rachel. Rachel being back in her life brings out the worst fears in Nicole. She made accusations and comments towards Dailan that were hash and at times uncalled for, which in turn caused them to fight. She let the past and her insecurities get the best of her. She was no longer that strong confident woman, but that scared insecure girl in high school all over again. Is their love for each other enough to survive the obstacles that life has thrown their way?

An Unplanned Life is written in alternating point of views between Dailan and Nicole. But Beth Rinyu also takes us back in time to when Nicole was in high school. I have to say that Ms. Rinyu did a fantastic job with the back and forth from present to past. It flowed very nicely. You get to experience what it was like for Nicole to be a teenager and find out she was pregnant. Watched as she basically lost everything. But you also get to see how strong she was and how she managed to overcome it all and how she never gave up.

What I loved about this book was how real and true to life it was. This is one of those books where the reader can relate to the characters and the storyline on so many levels. Not every marriage is perfect. Every marriage has its share of ups and downs. And I think we call all certainly agree that lack of communication, and insecurity issues can cause some issues in a marriage. And this certainly was true for Dailan and Nicole. Dailan and Nicole love each other with everything that they have. Their story shows the lengths that people will go to protect their loved ones. How hard they will fight to save their marriage. Sometimes there are things in life that you may not want to do but know are necessary in order to save the one thing that is most important to you. Nicole needed to learn to let go of the past. To not let the people that once hurt her ruin what is most important to her. She needs to leave the past behind in order to save her future.

Dailan and Nicole's journey was a emotional one. There was a moment or two where I got those knots in my stomach and my heart completely broke for them. I could not put this book down. I needed to know that these two would be OK, that they would work past their issues. Dailan is an amazing man, a wonderful husband and father. And while there were moments where I wanted to slap both him and Nicole and became so frustrated with them, I still loved them both in the end. Nicole is a woman that I think so many people can relate to in many ways, myself included. Beth Rinyu did an amazing job with this story. She knows how to bring out all of the emotions in the reader. She knows how to create a story that is real life. Their issues in their marriage didn't just affect the two of them but those round them as well. This wasn't just about Nicole and Dailan it was also about their family. This book will make you laugh, cry, frustrated, annoyed and break your heart. But there are also those swoon worthy moments that will melt your heart and leave you smiling in the end. Amazing job by Beth Rinyu. Thank you for giving us more of Dailan and Nicole!

“Sometimes the best things in life are those that aren’t planned.”

What more can I say other than I loved it?! On second thought I think I can still come up with a few more words. Here it goes…

I liked An Unplanned Lesson so I couldn’t wait to read An Unplanned Life. But with my luck if I’m excited about a certain book, there’s a big chance it will turn out to be a big disappointment. Thankfully An Unplanned Life is not! It put a smile on my face but not without making me cry. And if I liked Dailan and Nicole before, I liked and admired them even more in this story.

In this prequel/sequel we get to know the horrible things Nicole had been through. She was so strong even in her young age and partly because of few people who never gave up on her. It made me wish Justin was still around. You would have thought those things were all in her past but certain people came back to disrupt her present life. Thus begin the problems and arguments between her and Dailan. They might argue but you wouldn’t be able to take sides because they each have logical reasons and the love they have for each is one of that reasons. I liked that Nicole didn’t push Dailan away when he tried to be there when she needed him most. They’re both lucky to have each other – Nicole to have Dailan, a man who fights for her happiness; and Dailan to have Nicole, a strong woman who changed his life. Their relationship is not perfect, but perfectly realistic. As for Ryan, I’m glad he finally had a family with his real mom, his loving Uncle D and the adorable little Ella.

“I knew that a lot of it had to do with all those ghosts from her past. But why couldn’t she see that I was her present?” - Dailan

“Dailan was fighting a battle for me and Ryan that no one was willing to fight ten years ago and I loved him more than anything for doing so.” - Nicole

I don’t really enjoy a story that goes back and forth between past and present but this book is an exception. It was like reading two different stories for me. And once in a while it’s nice to read a story that will remind us that life can still be beautiful despite difficulties. That if you just follow your heart and stand up for what you want then everything will be alright. A message beautifully conveyed by An Unplanned Life. Can’t wait to read more from you Ms. Rinyu. :)

AN UNPLANNED LIFE (UNPLANNED 2) by BETH RINYU

Well what can I say? I love it! The whole thing was perfect and if you’ve read Unplanned Lesson then you will not be disappointed with what Beth Rinyu wrote in this book. I may sound biased but IDC. I love this series and the author gave us a wonderful ending. It was unexpected but it was great. I thought I could not love Dailan & Nicole’s story more but I did after reading this book.

For me, I saw a new side to Dailan and Nicole. It was both frustrating and fascinating at the same time. It’s like getting to know the characters you love the first time around and it feels great learning another trait that they have. Reading the story and how Beth combined everything, their vulnerabilities and insecurities in a whole different level is amazing. She wrote it in a way that (I think) would make the readers’ understand what they are going through and I love the fact that it seems realistic. Couples go through what the characters in this book went through and I bet it is tough and that’s what I love about Beth’s story. It is fiction but can also be a reality.

I don’t want to give details to what happened in the story but I will say this, you will love it. You will see a different side of Dailan and Nicole in this book and you will hate and love em while reading their story.

I wish it was not the end but I guess it’s true that some good things must come to an end. But I am wishing that Beth writes another story about Dailan and Nicole.

An Unplanned Life was a wonderful ending to a beautiful story that Beth Rinyu started in An Unplanned Lesson. Highly recommended. :)

"I'll love you forever; I'll like you for always. As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."

Beth Rinyu has done it again. I swear this woman has a direct line to my heartstrings. She knows how to make me feel all sorts of emotions when it comes to family, love and friendship.

It was nice to know about Nicole's past. Reading about how she overcame all the hardships in life was very inspiring. She was only seventeen when she was pregnant with Ryan and yet she managed to accomplish so many things in life and she remained strong during all of it. She managed to surpass all those hurdles despite being bullied, rejected, made fun of by almost every one in school and the subject of hate by her own father and sister. This book just made me admire Nicole more because she is one of the female characters that's strong and has courage like no other.

This book made me feel all sorts of emotions. All the challenges of having a married life was shown and problems that were out of control came out of nowhere for Nicole and Dailan. And the fact that Nicole's past kept messing with their family life threw them on a down spiral. It wasn't fair for Dailan to just up and leave his wife during hard times but I understand his good intentions when it came to prioritizng the case that he's handling. It wasn't fair for Nicole as well to hold all those grudges from the past and pour it out to Dailan but I also understand all the hate from her heart because what happened from her past because of Jonathan and Rachel scarred her deeply.

But I was happy that it all ended well. Their family is still together and the support of family and friends are intact. Nicole's unplanned life changed Dailan's as well. It changed for so many things. It gave them the present and the future.

10 GREAT STARS FOR THIS BOOK!!!

Loved everything about this book from start to finish. I found it so hard to put down. Really glad there were all those flashbacks on Nicole's journey of being pregnant with Ryan. It was so sad to read about how classmates and even her family treated her. She is a very strong character to pull through all that and still even have a relationship with her parents and sister. I don't know if I could have forgiven them. The difficulties that Dailan and Nicole go through with their marriage are very realistic even though some times you wanna slap Dailan over the head and yeah Nicole was a bit frustrating but it's what made it real and hooks you. Towards the end I got a bit emotional with happy tears, specially with how it was written about Ryan changing so many lives and how it all comes together because of him. A child is without a doubt the most precious gift. Really loved both these books this author is fantastic. I will definitely be checking out her other work.

This is a continuation of book 1----well sort of.

The book is based in the past and the present. It continues where the first book left off and we continue to read about Nicole and Dailan's married life however, we also get to read about Nicole's teenage years.
The book is mostly set in the present though, and the flashbacks provide insights into the circumstances that led to Nicole's choices all which eventually lead her to Ryan and Dailan.

Characters from the past are introduced and they cause for unforeseen drama which cause tension into their wedded bliss.

This book it is not a stand alone, the first book has to be read first. It has a HEA and no cliffy. Great read; if you liked the first book, then reading this one is a must.

In this book we see the HELL Nicole had to go through to do what was right. And what happens when her pass collides with her present. But Nicole is not the same scared teenager she was back then.....and she will not be bullied this time.
And Mr. Omaley. ...how you made me so mad in this book..LOL . But I still LOVE you. Because he does something that no one was willing to do back then...hes will to fight for Nicole and Ryan.

I was so sad to see this story end..GREAT JOB BETH.....I LOVED IT!!!

Wow. An Unplanned Life is brilliant! I love how the book tackled the ups and downs of marriage. That having a family is not all rainbows and unicorns. But as long as you love, support, and understand each other you will overcome any difficulties that would come.
I thought now that Nicole and Dailan were married, the excitement and spark between them would diminish but boy, was I wrong! Haha :)

Sometimes the best things in life are those that aren’t planned.

Dailan and Nicole have been through a lot and are now in a happy place. They are married and raising their family with the support of family and friends.

But real life is not always a fairy tale. Sometimes the past comes back to haunt you. Sometimes problems in the present threaten happiness. They are faced with new challenges and struggles. There are situations and people trying to pull them apart. They have to rely on their love and commitment to help each other through. But it is a struggle that only intensifies.

We see the story in both Nicole and Dailan's points of view with past intermingled with present. It actually is both a sequel and a prequel. We learn more of Nicole's and Ryan's pasts. And we see some his and Nicole's earlier relationship through Dailan's eyes. But it all flows seemlessly together to create a well spun story blending past and present.

It was hard to see them hurting and struggling. At times I was as angry, disappointed, frustrated and hurt as they were. It was full of tension, worry, and swirling emotions. At times, it was heart breaking. But there were other times it was sweet.

I loved Dailan in the first book. His funny, cocky, bossy personality made him infuriating and lovable at the same time. And his devotion to Nicole and Ryan won me over. But there were times in this book where I wanted to throttle him. In his mind, he was doing the right thing for his family, but in reality he succeeded it making it all worse. He was trying to be protective, but in doing so he was risking it all.

And I have to say the same thing about Nicole. At times, she made me want to shake her. She had her reasons to be worried, hurt, and angry, but sometimes she really was also mean and unreasonable. But we see how much she has struggled since high school. How much she gave up for Ryan. How much hell she endured. And I had to admire her strength, fight, and determination. Dailan and Ryan had made a huge difference in her life and her ability to move on. But when her past keeps rearing it's ugly head, it brings back all of the insecurities and fears of a younger girl.

I loved him more than he would ever know. He was the only guy that was able to help me break the chains that were binding my heart for so long and I would be forever grateful to him for it.~Nicole

"Your unplanned life changed my life and made it so much better."~Dailan

They still had chemistry and loved each other. In the beginning, they still had their snappy rapport mixed in with their sweet and loving times. But as things became complicated, there was more tension, fighting, and problems. Their easy rapport became difficult and communication suffered. It seemed like they just kept getting hit with more and more. And as the cracks began to show in their marriage, more people became involved. There were antagonists that I really just hated. I mean I wanted to do bodily harm to. Seriously hated. But there were also supportive friends and family that provided sage advice and reason. And I still adore Ryan who is now ten years old, a great kid, and sometimes more mature than his parents. He provided so many moments of love and hope. It was hard to see him suffering as well.

Will they be able to pull their marriage out of the tailspin and get it back on course or will the problems from Nicole's past succeed in ruining her life again?

This book showed that real life is hard. It takes work and commitment. And sometimes you have to continue to fight for your happiness. And I could see a lot of true life in this book. We get tired, angry, upset, and snippy. We fight with those that we love the most. We fear their loss, but at the same time push them away when hurt. This book was realistic and at times hard. But it also made the sweeter times, just that much sweeter. I could identify with this couple and was rooting for them the whole time. I was not sure at the end of An Unplanned Lesson where this sequel would go since the first one did not end on a cliffhanger. But she managed to provide so much more of this couple both past and present and it was quite a journey. You do need to read An Unplanned Lesson first. And if you are fans of Dailan and Nicole, you will definitely want to continue their story.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I feel so blessed that not only was I given the opportunity to review An Unplanned Lesson, but also An Unplanned Life.

An Unplanned Life brings us a look into Nicole’s past and with her past some very old and new problems arise. Past ghosts turn her world upside down and push Dailan’s and Nicole’s relationship to the brink of breaking. We also get to see Nicole’s and Ryan’s relationship as mother and son blossom and grow. (Grab your tissues mom’s you’re going to need them)

To tell you that I loved this book doesn't even begin to describe all the emotions An Unplanned Life invoked in me. Author Beth Rinyu has an unbelievable talent for developing a story and characters that take you on an emotional, meaningful journey unlike any other. You not only get a hot romance but also a deeply touching story.

I have never felt so much for such a strong heroine. Nicole will just blow your mind with her determination, passion and love for her family. She makes no arguments that her family is her number one priority. Being a mom myself made Nicole that much more easily to understand and connect with on an emotional level. I found her strength to make tough decisions courageous and inspiring.

WARNING *hot guy with an accent* Dailan is the Irishman you love to hate. Gorgeous, hot and sooooooo incredibly stubborn. He may think he is always right but Nicole has no problem showing him differently.

I loved all the witty banter between these characters. Even when they argue at times I found myself giggling at their quick comebacks.
These two characters couldn’t be more perfect together. Both determined, stubborn and so in love with each other. The arguments only add to their passion for each other and shows that love really can conquer all when you love with your whole heart.

As always Author Beth Rinyu had me crying like a baby at the end of An Unplanned Life just like she did at the end of An Unplanned lesson. She has a very special gift that I see in very few authors. She can take a story and wrap it up in the best most emotional ending you could ever hope to see for a book. She touches on every character and leaves you with a very satisfied happy sigh at the ending.
But wait, this is not the ending of this series. *crossing my fingers* I hope to see a book for Kat’s and Julian’s story in the near future. PLEASE!!!

10 HEART WARMING STARS!

I knew I've made the right decision to put my kleenex next to me because the minute I started reading this book, I was a mess! So many tears I've cried for this book! I really really love Beth Rinyu's books from the start and this one is no exception! I love how her stories always concern about a perfect family, friends, and loved ones. It's really my weakness. Once I started reading, I just can't stop the tears from flowing! It's just so beautiful!

This book is the continuation of Nicole & Dailan's story from "An Unplanned Lesson" and I knew Beth Rinyu wrote this because a lot of loyal readers - including me, requested more of them because we can't get enough!

This book has a lot more drama, tears, joy and ten times swoonfest! Every time I see how they take care and love their kids, and how supportive their family and friends, I can't help but feel envious of them. They are a perfect example of a happy family. It's really amazing and sweet. They will be test with problems in marriage and how they will fight for their trust to one another. I love their baby Ella and Ryan so much that I cried a lot of times because of them. They are so adorable!

Another reason why I also love this second installment is because it includes Nicole's pasts when she had her first baby born in highschool. How she fights for her baby and how strong she was to stand on her own self with the help of her true friends. I was so hurt for her because a lot people misjudge her including her parents. My heart breaks every time she was being treated poorly.

Now, I think I've said enough about this book and it's up to you to read it because I don't wanna spoil anymore! I just wanted to say that if you love stories about family, this is the perfect series for you! Highly recommended!

Beth Rinyu's writing style will never get old to me! I love all of her books and they are all close to my heart. It's an inspiration for me. When I am old enough to have my own perfect husband, children, and friends, I wish I can be like Nicole and Dailan O'Maley. :")

Definitely 5 full stars and keep going up... Wooow... I meant this woow as a really ‘woow’ and ‘ahaaa...’ in a great way. Remember when we were a kid and our teacher explained to as in a detail and a clear way about the lesson and in the end we nod and say ‘ohhh...so it’s like that’? Well, the 2nd ‘Unplanned’ book kinda gave us that effect. Beth Rinyu has done a great job in mixing different POVs and timeline in the story. Well, if you kinda jump directly through the story and not paying attention to the headline or head chapter, it might be a little confusing. But overall I must give 2 thumbs up for this book (hooray!!!).

I really like how each moment in the present brings us back to the past and we can see how strong the connection is. We can see a glimpse of Dailan’s love and undying devotion to Nicole and his family. The most important thing is the how important Ryan is for both of them. I really mean it and we should read it until it finished to show how Ryan admire and adore both of their parents and so vice versa.

For everyone of us that think Nicole is just a regular Damsel In Distress...well....think again...Coz we surely see how a strong girl she is. I cant imagine going to the school in pregnancy while facing bullies and stares from other people including her own family... That is just so fucked up. Her love and unselfishness to Ryan ever since he was in her belly just made me shed tears... so astonishing and touching. Her fight and arguments with Dailan are also heart-broken. Honestly, I thought they will end up with divorce statement but they didn’t. But, they surprised me with words and simple gestures that really shows how deep their love and willingness to be together in hard times.

I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him on the cheek. “Well, I love you. Does that make it a little better?” (woow..that’s what I called ‘romantic’)

But my best quotation is when Nicole said this :

"....don't be afraid to stand up for what you want. No matter how scared or alone you may feel. If you know in your heart that you are doing the right thing, don't ever back down."

Before anything else, I wanted to say YOU NAILED IT AGAIN, BETH!

(Spoiler alert!)

An Unplanned Life is the sequel to An Unplanned Lesson, wherein we started our journey with Nicole, her job, her family, and her lovelife. We witnessed how she and our sexy Dailan (Yes, you read that right: OUR. I am sharing him to you, ladies!) met, how they hated each other at first, then ended up falling in love.

We were able to catch a glimpse of Nicole's past, in which we learned that her very naughty student, Ryan, who happened to be the adopted nephew of Dailan, is in fact her son. Her son who she gave up years ago for adoption. In An Unplanned Life, we were given the chance to know more of her past, to get a clearer view of what really happened to her. Plus, our dear Justin is back! His disappearance in the first book made me really, really, really sad.

This books shows the typical reason why a lot of couples fight: jealousy. And like any other books out there, this will never be complete with a bitch or a douche. Here goes Rachel and Jonathan. I definitely loathe the two of them! People from her horrible past kept coming back to her to... I don't really know. To make things better? Or to make things worse? Rachel tries to ruin Nicole's life AGAIN. This part made me love Dailan even more. He is the ultimate ideal husband! You better prepare for a lot of drama in this book. This one made me cry again. I can absolutely feel Nicole's feelings while I'm reading it. Yes, there is a lot of hatred and pain and problems... but in the end, there's a new baby that became our sunshine to the rain: Ella! She's so adorable I wanted to cuddle and kiss her!

This is another wonderful story by Beth Rinyu. And now I consider her as one of my favorite NA authors! I am so looking forward to read her next books. I definitely recommend this to you guys. This is a story of love, family, and most of all, not giving up for something worth fighting for no matter what the consequences are.

Why oh why did I wait so long to read this?! I have to be honest, I loved Dailan and Nicole so much in book one, An Unplanned Lesson, and I was worried that if I read this sequel my feelings may change. I couldn’t have been more wrong; in fact, I loved them even more reading this!

This story picks up a little while after book one. The family dynamics at the beginning of this book are so sweet. Their children are so very cute and they really are such a loving, close unit. Of course, in true Beth Rinyu style, it doesn’t stay that way. Nicole’s past comes back to haunt them in a big way and their close family are rocked to their very core.

Dailan may be gorgeous and sexy as hell but he still has so much to learn about women! His communication skills were distinctly lacking and there were times I could have slapped him! BUT, I still loved him greatly; in fact, watching him fight for his family melted my heart towards him even more.

There were moments in this book that I could really empathise with, things that hit close to home. I felt my stomach drop and my heart race like I was experiencing Nicole’s emotions alongside her. I actually had an ache in my chest for a section of this book; I could feel the pain and angst physically.

We were treated to flashbacks of back story throughout the book and they worked well. They give a very well rounded and thorough picture and understanding. Poor Nicole really did get put through the wringer in her past, it was heart wrenching to witness.

Every single character in this book evoked emotion in me, be it disgust, hatred, admiration, love, frustration, you name it, one of these characters had me feeling it! This book is packed with drama, angst, a whole lot of love and plenty of sweet and I adored it. I loved it even more than book one which I didn’t expect to happen. It’s going to be hard to let this family go.

If you have read An Unplanned Lesson you REALLY need to read this one, you won’t regret it!

Beth Rinyu is becoming one of not only my new favorite authors but also a MUST buy for me, all of her books are emotional roller coasters and I have LOVED everyone one of her books. An Unplanned Life is no different. First I want to thank Beth for giving me a copy as an ARC, but I already had it on my calendar to get the minute it went live.

Unplanned Lesson is the first book of this series, and you will want to read it first before reading An Unplanned life.

Unplanned life picks up 2 years from where an Unplanned Lesson leaves off, Dailan and Nicole are well into their Happy ever after but some times even happy ever has some pumps in the road. Both Dailan and Nicole are happy in their life together, they love each other, have each others backs, have Ryan and their baby Ella. Nicole has made a lot of strides in making her past stay in the past but when the one person that she has never given up hating comes back in her life, things aren't always how you want them.

Dailan NEVER thought he would be a one woman man, forget about having 2 kids that he loves more then anything, and a wife that means the world to him. he realizes just how lucky he is to have them in his life. But when work starts take him away, and things aren't going as smoothly as they once did he doesn't really know how to handle it. but I know that Nicole is the only one that he wants forever. but she needs to let go of the past before they can continue on with the present.

when someone threatens everything that they whole dear to them, they with both start going in opposite directions from each other. they are both going to have to find a way to get it back.

I wasn't ready to let Dailan and Nicole go when I finished Unplanned lesson, but now that we know how they are now, I am ok with letting them have the Happy ever after that they deserve. Thank you again Beth for giving us a story that makes you laugh, cry (ALOT) and gives us characters that we want to remember forever!

Ok....
I loved.. This book!!! Really loved it!!
I had some tears in my eyes reading certain parts!!!
It just brought so many emotions out of me.
& I loved it!!!

But...

There are however some issues I had with it.
& the main issue I had was Dailan...

I'm sorry.. I really didn't care for him in his book!! I thought he was very one sided when it came to compromising. Wasn't very forthcoming with Nicole about work, & Rachel.
The way he handled things by leaving! & blaming Nicole...just didn't sit well with me!!

Being married for 16yrs...I can put myself in Nicole's shoes...
& I'll tell you what....
I really don't think I could get past everything that Dailan did & said!! How he handled everything was just too extreme for me.
I felt he never gave Nicole the respect of hearing her out about her issues with Rachel & work! He just Totally downplayed everything!
Basically.... telling her to grow up stop being a child & get over it!!
He was very insensitive!

When your married you should be able to go to your husband with all the big & little things...
& I felt he failed... He was a total let down.

And Nicole....

I felt Nicole put up a good fight.. But...
Let a lot go... For the sake of the children...
We all do....to a certain extent let a lot go...
But... I felt Nicole was jumping through hoops & Dailan... Was Looking out for himself. He was too caught up to even realize what he was doing to his family!!
Yes.. I know he was doing it all for Nicole & Ryan...

But....

I mean... If he would just have talked to her...
I mean really just sit down & talk to his wife about everything going on... All that animosity... All that doubt..
Would have never happened!!

Over all it was a good story! Just wished Dailan was different.
But...I'm happy with how the book ended.

I was given an advanced copy of this book from the author to read and honestly review. I really liked "An Unplanned Lesson" and couldn't wait to read this one. I wasn't quite sure where it would pick up at, being that An Unplanned Lesson didn't end on a cliffhanger.

This book had me racing to the last page, wanting to know what was going to happen in both Nicole's past and Dailan and Nicole's present. This is such a beautifully told story that takes you deep inside of Nicole's past and really makes you see why she behaved the way that she did in "An Unplanned Lesson", shying away from relationships. I found myself getting emotionally involved (lol) reading about the struggles that Nicole and Dailan were going through in their marriage. I got to know them so well over the course of both books that I felt like I was watching two friends going through this.

I loved everything about this book. The transitions from the past and present flowed seamlessly, the writing style was beautiful and the dialogue was raw and emotional. It ended perfectly leaving all questions answered. It really complimented An Unplanned Lesson by giving us the whole story after the big secret was revealed. If you haven't read An Unplanned Lesson yet, I highly suggest that you do because you will not want to miss out on this sequel! FIVE FULL STARS for me!

This was a good book 2. Lots of twists and turns, many ups and downs but still lots of love and more healing going on.

Dailan and Nicole are so cute and loving. Their love is so grand and so overwhelming that I think they still scare each other. They are both head strong and fearless and will walk t through hell for their family so at times there are too many chefs and not enough cooks but they make it work.

Ryan is still so wonderful, has such a great heart and an awesome big brother.

Ella is so adorable and her kisses are so sweet - I can just see that little cutie pie kissing her daddy and brother LOL She is a doll.

I'm not sure if there will be a book 3 but there is so much more to tell about this family - a book 3 would be great!!!

What awesome part two to An Unplanned Lesson. Nicole and Dailan life continues with birth of their baby girl. But with life there are numerous bumps in the road. Her past comes rushing forward to their present, and could impact their future. Her high school bully now works for her husband. And is willing to be more for him. Dailan is in litigation that has taken all his extra time from family. And with time away there leaves her alone at night. This was a storyline that even had me guessing if they would still be together in the end. Beth Rinyu is an awesome writer. Want more by her.

Dammit, stop making me cry! I loved this book. It made me laugh and smile and, of course, sob my heart out. Every time I read a book I always put myself in the place of the heroine and imagine I'm her. I act the whole thing out in my mind. And this book was one hell of an emotional rollercoaster for me!

I loved this story. I've read so many books that ended with on a "happily ever after" note. But this was another book that was about what happens after the "happily ever after". It was realistic in showing the good and bad times.
