When It Comes Around

Rate this book
In high school, Brenda thought Clyde was the man of her dreams. He was older, he had his own money and he was just too fine. The one thing Brenda didn't know about Clyde was that he was a married man. Fast forward to several years later and life with Clyde has gone all to hell. If Clyde isn't beating the hell out of her, he's got her somewhere wagging along with his disrespectful kids.

Brenda's only refuge is her job at the run down soul food kitchen, The Chicken Coop. Brenda feels her luck is beginning to change when the ultra mysterious but madly attractive customer, Miguel, walks into her life. But are the secrets Miguel is closely guarding too explosive for Brenda to handle?

Good Read

Enjoyed this short read. It held my attention. I hope Brenda and Miguel were able to get away and stay away

When It Comes Around

Very cute, but short. I would have loved to see this developed into a full length novel.Heroes come in all different ways. Brenda needed it I love that she got it. Her decision making wasn't good, attribute that to age. Clyde and Lonnie were one in the same. I hope their is a sequel to this. Recommended
