*cue slideshow of the highlights from the past bailey books*
this is such a bittersweet end to the series. loved seeing the parents/bailey couples through their childrenโs eyes and seeing them be good parents. the authors did a good job using the multi-pov chapters in briefly introducing the personalities of the kids as well. hopefully, this wonโt be the last weโll hear about them. i know calista (romeโs aka my faveโs kid) is the main lead in the upcoming greene family series so iโm excited about the bailey cameos too!

Operation Bailey Birthday by Piper Rayne is a beautiful written, heartwarming read and a touching goodbye to the Bailey family.
Each Bailey and loved one owns a special place in my heart and most of all is Grandma D.
From the first book she made an impression with me. I loved her honesty, her sass, her take no BS attitude and her love for each of her grandchildren.
I loved that we got to hear from the great grand children in Operation Bailey Birthday, it was fun and entertaining watching them interact with my much loved Bailey clan and catching up with their lives now.
Grandma Dori loved her family. She put her own pain and sadness aside to help her grandchildren through their grief of losing their parents to help them find their way.
She made it her mission to form a special relationship with each one of the Bailey siblings and when the time came for them finding their soul mate she was able in some not too subtle ways open their eyes and guide them in following their hearts.
I found myself crying with the closing chapter, it was so so sweet and the perfect way to say goodbye to my much loved Bailey series.
It's bittersweet to be saying goodbye to this fun, passionate and loving family, and I'm so thankful to authors Piper Rayne for sharing their characters and stories with us.

When the Bailey's series finishes, I wasn't ready to see it end. It has felt a little like watching my own family grow up. I have loved watching them all fall in love and get married and have babies. But I have especially loved G'ma Dori and Ethel conspire and plot and plan. They were hilarious and I am really looking forward to the next series where they turn their eyes to Ethel's family.
In this one we got the points of view of a handful of G'ma Dori's great-grandchildren. And through that we saw the planning of her 90th birthday party and of course caught up with the goings on of all the family.
It was great, light-hearted, sweet fun. I could not have been happier. It really felt like it closed off the Bailey series in such a perfect way and at least we all know we can go back and visit any time we need.

I seriously don't love any fictional family so much like I do the Baileys. Operation Bailey Birthday was the sweetest and emotional goodbye to the most phenomenal small town romance series ever. I didn't know I need this novella so desperately in my life but Piper Rayne knows our heart the best.
This entire story is told from the kids' POV and that was simply awesome. The family is planning a grand party for 90th birthday of great grandma Dori that is supposed to be a surprise but in typical Dori style, she is sneakily manipulating everyone to plan it her way. We get to meet the grown up kids and the not so grown up kinds. And honestly, I cried. Its sappy but I have met these kids when they were in their diapers and have spent time with them as they grew up. I was so emotional to meet all the Baileys living their happily ever after. I have been there as they fought and struggled for their loves and I am obnoxiously happy and overwhelmed for them. I loved feeling their special connection and special love once again. And I am excited to see the next generation starting their own quest of love. Piper Rayne cleverly left clues about what to come. See you in Sunrise Bay.
I am not ashamed to admit I needed tissues a lot while reading Operation Bailey Birthday. Those were happy tears. This should tell you how deeply I am in love with this amazing series by Piper Rayne. All great things come to an end and what an ending it was. And with exciting promises for future.

Let the "Surprise" Party Begin! It's Grandma Dori's 90th birthday and we are celebrating in style so grab a blanket a cup of coco (spiked of course) and sit back and enjoy because this is one book you don't want to miss!

ALL THE HAPPY TEARS! What an absolutely wonderful tribute to this fabulous family! Operation Bailey Birthday by Piper Rayne is once again a thoroughly entertaining, captivating and heartwarming story that brings an end to an era, and one that I did not want to put down.
I gotta say, I loved every single moment and was elated at the glimpses and the perspectives we got from every Bailey grandchild and great grandchildโs life. I ADORED seeing all of these gorgeous babies all grown up and it was such an emotional journey from beginning to end. It was exactly what I craved and needed to fill the void after this series ended. It was such a bittersweet and sentimental farewell to the Bailey family.
There was no better way to wrap up the Baileys series and Piper Rayne wrote this novella to perfection. A huge thank you to these ladies for writing such endearing characters in an unforgettable series that I have grown to love so much. I sincerely hope we are reunited with them again sometime in the near future.

I loved everything about it. The focus was on Grandma Doryโs 90th Birthday while highlighting every great grandchild. The authors had their work cut out for them with nine grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren, but they succeeded in providing a variety of POVโs to clearly paint the picture in every Bailey household. And true to form, there was plenty of humor and drama, in that order! It was the best ending to the series and hopefully a peak into a future spin legacy spin off series! There are way too many cool Bailey cousins to stop now!
But in the meantime, the authors also set the stage for the next spin off series for Grandma Doryโs BFF, Ethelโs grandchildrenโs stories in the Greene series. And it looks like the first up may be Rylan Greene and Calista Bailey in My Beautiful Nemesis. I totally canโt wait!

I was super excited to read this one. It's a short quick read. It's Grandma Dori's birthday and all the Baileys are back in town to celebrate. While the other books in the series dealt with Dori's grandchild in this one we get the POVs of some of her great-grandchildren. There are a lot of great-grandchildren and I honestly lost track of each couples' kids so I was glad that at the beginning of the chapters it tells you who POV it is, their age, and who their parents are. I have loved the Bailey family since book one and I loved this one too.

Piper Rayne has once again outdone themselves with this truly heartwarming story of the entire Bailey family! How do you even begin to say goodbye to a family that has embedded themselves into your heart and your soul....that is exactly what the Bailey family has done.
This book was such an emotional journey from beginning to end with each Bailey POV. I laughed, smiled, cried and felt a deep love for each character. This is such a bittersweet ending to the Bailey family even though we will get glimpses of them in the Greene Family series, it's not the same they just hold a special place in my heart. This is definitely one series that I'll read again and again! Thank you Piper Rayne for such a beautiful addition to one INCREDIBLE series!

I can't believe it's over.. for now anyway! Gahhh.. I cried through this one. How could I not?! I feel like I am saying goodbye to a family I actually belong to. The Bailey's adopted me and treated me like one of their own and now it's time to move on. I am having a hard time letting go of them!

Operation Bailey Birthday is a celebration. A chance to reminisce on the good times and say a fond farewell to an extraordinary family. Piper Rayne gives us the wonder of family in all it's moments. From unexpected tragedy to the resilience of the powerful emotion, love. Through the bumps and bruises, there is beauty within the heartache, humor in the healing and hope for the future. So as I say a bittersweet goodbye to the chaos of the Bailey clan, I look ahead to the next chapter of that long and winding road called life. After all who knows what surprises are waiting in the wings.

I WAS NOT READY FOR THIS!!!!
I thought I was prepared, but I in fact was not.
This was such a great novella.
If you followed this family, you NEED this story in your life. It took me 3 days to read it because I didn't want it to end.
I'm so heartbroken that the Baileys are over. This is now my favorite series.
I can't wait to see the Baileys make an appearance in the new Greene Family series.
I thought I was prepared, but I in fact was not.
This was such a great novella.

Happy Birthday Bailey family!! So much fun and story in this Novella. Love to hear about all of the Bailey's, even though its a smidge about each and everyone. Thank you Piper Rayne, for giving us such a fun family.

As I happy we got a novella to kind of sort of wrap up The Baileyโs series when I thought it was done after book 9? You bet I am.
Was I ecstatic to catch up on how all the members of the Bailey family are faring in their relationships and as parents? For sure.
Was I surprised that this was told from the older kids of those Bailey siblings? Absolutely, but also a bit thrilled to hear their voices.
Was there any doubt Dori would steamroll her entire family and get her wish about pretty much everything for her 90th birthday party? Nope, not one doubt.
Am I anticipating seeing glimpses of The Baileys as Doriโs and her best friend, Ethel, play matchmaker for her grandkids? Waiting with baited breath.
No doubt I loved The Bailey series and writing duo of Piper Rayne kept us entertained as each Bailey fell in love, thusly I have high hopes for The Green Family series.
Well done ladies, I know Dori was thrilled her party went off without a hitch (okay more like she knew it would since she was the mastermind).

Grandma Dori's turning 90 and she's not so subtly planning her surprise party. We get chapters from most of her grand and great-grandchildren, giving us some laughs, a little bit of sadness, and a happy ever after for the Bailey family. I've loved this series and can't think of a better send off for this large, loving family as they celebrate the birthday of their matriarch. A glimpse of Dori's best friend's family series is given, and it makes me happy to think of a new series and a connection to the Baileys for more stories to come.

Oh my. Somehow 9 books and 3 novellas in, and Iโm still not ready to let go of this series! I absolutely love all of the Baileys so much and this series has been a true pleasure to read! The deeper you get into this series, the more you grow to love them all, and at this point I really do feel like a part of their family at this point...so I'm definitely sad to not have any "Bailey" stories after this, but luckily Piper and Rayne have already hinted at future cameos in their upcoming series, The Green Family, which happens to take place one town over from Lake Starlight in Sunrise Bay featuring Grandma Dori's bestie, Ethel's family. :)
Okay, now that I've let out that little bit of sadness, let's talk about this novella! First, I loved that with this novella we get to see a glimpse into the future for all of the Baileys! I especially loved that it centred around our beloved Grandma Dori...she definitely deserves to be celebrated and surrounded by all of her loved ones! It was so neat to see the kids getting older, and so many of them are so grown up now!!! It honestly went too quickly for me, and I could've read way more, but I still really enjoyed getting a peek at all of the kids' lives and seeing their parents' from their POVs...which was just as hilarious as expected! haha
Overall, I thought that OPERATION BAILEY BIRTHDAY was short, sweet, and the perfect treat for any fan of The Baileys series! While the series has come to a close, I'm hoping that weโll be seeing lots and lots of cameos and glimpses into their lives through the upcoming The Greene Family series...fingers crossed that we get some cameos in every book! haha I also wouldnโt be opposed to a spin-off series for the great grandkids. ;) If you're a fan of this series already, you definitely don't want to miss this one, and if you haven't started The Baileys series yet, I highly recommend it to anyone who loves small town contemporary romances! I have to admit that it's been a very long time since I've committed to a long series, but I did it easily with The Baileys because I genuinely couldn't wait for each book and every single one of them was such a delight to read!

This novella is the perfect end to this incredible series. It revisits every single couple, but from the point of view of one of their children, so you can understand the personalities of the next generation of Baileys and how they see their parents, aunts, uncles, and best of all, Grandma Dori. It ties off everything in a neat bow, although itโs not all perfect, thereโs some conflict between offspring and parents, which made it so much more real.
The cousins all have such a close-knit bond, I loved seeing the ones we meet in the series all grown up, but also liked meeting the younger ones who had been born in the time since the final book was set. I loved seeing how all the couples were still so in love, and how parenthood didnโt change any of their own personalities. Grandma Dori was as meddling and nosy as she was in the other books, even at 90 nothing was going to stop her having her way. The whole story almost felt like the reader was coming home after a long period of time and being reunited with the whole family.
This series will be sorely missed, book series made up of interconnected standalones with each sibling having their own book are my favourite because you truly get to know the whole family, and this was definitely the case for the Baileys.
Operation Bailey Birthday is a bittersweet end, and although I am going to miss these characters, I canโt wait for the Greene family next, because I know there will be some Bailey cameos, and maybe even a Bailey/Greene romance, which has me so excited! If you adored the Bailey series as much as I do, this is the icing on the cake and will leave you with a big smile on your face!

This was the perfect ending to the Bailey series. I have read every book in the series and fell in love with every member of the Bailey family. If you loved them and will miss them as much as I will this is the perfect read to give just what you need.
Operation Bailey Birthday is the coming together of every member of the family, including all the kids, for Grandma Dori's 90th Birthday. And while her grandchildren are planning a "surprise" party, Dori is still up to her shenanigans. We are talking about Grandma Dori, so is this really a surprise or is she planning it from behind the scenes.
What I loved about this novella is that we not only get to see all of the Bailey siblings but it is their children who tell this story. I loved catching up with all of them, seeing how close the cousins are and what they are all going through.
This series is one that you will always remember, and feel like you are a part of their family./. Going through all of the ups and down with them. I hope that we see more of them in the spin off series. Which this novella seems to be setting up the first book very nicely. There is so much more that I want to know about the kids. Great ending to the Bailey series.

Anything having to do with this amazing family is a must-read for me. I have to say that as wonderful as this story was it was also bittersweet. It made me smile seeing all of these kids and their parents but it also made me sad as there is no guarantee that these characters will have the chance to continue on in the Bailey 2.0 universe.
Each little glimpse of the possible stories of these kids made me want to see their stories and what will come from the snippets into their lives. I hope this author duo does bite the bullet and revisits this amazing family that feels like my family or really close friends because I would love to see how they grew up and also what fun and crazy times the parents are still up to.
That being said, this was a great way to give the much-deserved accolades and recognition to the Queen, Grandma Dori, who without her influence, and oftentimes interference, wouldn't be the family that has come to mean so much to me. Even though it was bittersweet it left me with a happy feeling of contentment that this family will always be one enjoying life and loving each other unconditionally.

I'm so sad that this crazy amazing series has ended. This series has always made me laugh uncontrollably. We went on a crazy ride with the Bailey clan and had the incredible experience of witnessing their journeys on finding love and increasing the Bailey numbers. I was shocked to find out just how many children they had. These Baileys sure love making babies.
This was a great book to conclude this series and introduce us to the new generation of Baileys. Everyone is planning G'ma D's 90th suprise-not so surprise-Birthday Bash. I loved getting a glimpse of children and more of Grandma Dori. She finish meddle with he grandkids and now is going after her great-grandkids. It was quite hilarious. I love that crazy woman and I hope this isn't the last we see of her.
It's now Ethel's turn and I can't wait to see what she has in store for her grandkids. I know Dori will be making her cameos because nothing can keep her away. I'm so looking forward to officially meeting the Greene Family.

Even though this is the official end of one of my favourite series ever, the Bailey family will remain in my heart forever. Operation Bailey Birthday is a sweet and humorous read that with leave you with all the heartwarming feels. They are back for Grandma Doriโs 90th birthday and the family is getting ready to throw the party of a lifetime! I loved the unique style this was written. Each chapter was told in the point of view of a Bailey great grandchild and offered up all the same love, humor and affection we have come to love from the Baileys. This novella may be short and sweet but it is a must read and is the perfect cherry on top to end it all off. Gโma D may be 90 but she sure hasnโt slowed down one bit and is up to her same old tricks. I am looking forward to โmeetingโ the Greene family next and hopefully we get to catch up with Baileys in their books to come.

Operation Bailey Birthday is hands down my favorite novella from the Bailey family series. Everyoneโs favorite Grandma, Dori, is turning 90 so you know all her grandkids and great grandkids are going to do everything they can to giver her the celebration of a lifetime.
This novella is also different from the previous novellas. Each chapter is from a different Bailey great grandkid. I LOVED seeing all those sweet little babies grown up. Lake Starlight is officially being taken over by the Bailey family and I love how they continue to grow and their sense of family is still strong. The love they all have for each other is great.
Operation Bailey Birthday also included some little tidbits from Ethelโs family, the Greeneโs, and I CANNOT wait to meet them all and of course, for continued Dori and Ethel shenanigans.
There was no better way to wrap up the Baileys series than having everyone all grown up and celebrating the women who kept them together as family and pointed them in the right direction when it came to their relationships.
