Taking His Breath Away
When I was incarcerated at Pengrass Penitentiary twenty years ago, my brother cut me out of his life. Before that, we were close. Then the girl he knocked up claimed she didn’t want their son to be exposed to the “bad influence” of a convict, and that was that.
I never met the kid.
Never spoke to my brother again.
Sure as hell never wanted to anything to do with the woman who got me cast out from my own fucking family.
But here she is, twenty years later—halfway through my sentence—begging me to look out for her son. For my nephew. The kid she was so fucking sure had to be kept away from me so I didn’t ruin him.
But it turns out I wasn’t the bad influence. He’s gone and gotten himself sentenced to Pengrass all on his own, no influence required.
His mother claims he’s a delicate little flower who won’t survive in here, and that because I’m his uncle, because I’m family, I need to look out for him. Protect him. Make sure this shithole doesn’t chew him up and spit him back out broken.
But fuck that.
No one looked out for me. Protected me. And Pengrass has abso-fucking-lutely chewed me up and tried to break me… all while my so-called family turned their backs and left me with no one to rely on but myself.
So now? I can’t imagine anything sweeter than karma coming full circle and taking revenge on my behalf by kicking this boy while he’s down and then crushing him under Pengrass’s heel.
At least, I can’t imagine anything sweeter until I actually meet him.

Honestly BV should write more series' because I enjoyed seeing characters from Big Brother's Prison Bitch and A Very Good Boy. Grim turns out to be an unsung hero, and I hope we get his story.
Kinda unrealistic how a murderer ends up in the same prison as someone convicted of credit card fraud... and how Zayn gets early parole even after beating the shit out of every one of his cellies. But you know what? When it comes to Becca Vale books, I don’t even question things anymore—I just enjoy the ride.

How in the world can this author write such amazing stories in such a short time?? This has been by far my fav by this author. I loved everything about it. It was gritty and hot and had an awesome plot outside of just sex. Honestly if you are going to read only one story by this author I’d highly recommend this one! Watch your triggers though. Can’t wait to see what else this author comes up with!

HOT! Uncle and Nephew meet for the first time behind bars. I will say the beginning broke my heart when our little Samir had to deal with Tank :( But it gets better after that for him. I was so happy with the appearances from previous characters, especially Grim!! <3 He’s the best if you ask me. I also really like Jaws and Snare. I would love to read about them too. I can see it being sweet. There is a lot of action in this one as well as smut and plot. If you haven’t read the other two before this, I highly recommend it! I listed them at the bottom. :)

I am new to Becca Vale’s books, but have devoured three in the last two days. This was my favorite so far! Taboo. Dark. Spicy. And oh so sweet! Cobra (aka Uncle Zayn) is big, scary, possessive, and protective. He didn’t expect to fall for his sweet, soft, little nephew Sami. Debating between 3.5 stars or actual 4. This was a great taboo erotica, set in a prison where a nephew finds his uncle and craves for protection. It isn't a place for him, someone that is so different from the rough men, and his uncle isn't happy about the attention he attracts.
The set up is hot and I really enjoyed most of the elements such as the possessiveness from the older man, the unwillingness to do something first and then switching up, and the neediness from the younger guy. The story is engaging and it never slows downs.
My only issue with this one was that the realization about the feelings one of the MCs has for the other happens really fast, when most of the time it felt based mosly on lust. Same as the last chapters, these felt rushed. Another thing that I wasn't a fan of is part of the writting style, it was cheesy at times and I don't like when too many exclamations are used in text if it isn't a dialogue.
Thankfully, the ending scene made it up for me with the exhibitionism kink. I hope we could get another book with all the couples and their little adventures together, or a book about Peach - I really want more of him.

i loved this, i think it's one of my favourite books so far.
i really enjoyed zayn & sami's relationship and i REALLY loved grim & the way he was so protective of sami from the very beginning.
