Harrow Bay #2

Nightmares & Night Sweats

Rate this book
Which is worse? Magic or menopause?

Jody has started to settle into her new job as sheriff of the magical town of Harrow Bay. After two months, maybe she's figuring out this magic thing, and the town has been peaceful. Willa starts a new job and realizes something she never expected, while Isabel continues her campaign of terror against the Senior Center tyrant and her quest to really learn magic - at least until the nightmares start. The residents of Harrow Bay are short-tempered, tired, and grumpy after a spate of nightmares haunts their dreams.

Once Jody figures out the nightmares are affecting just about everyone, except for Beez, she knows something is going on in their town. They realize a Sandman is targeting Harrow Bay, but why?

Jody reluctantly turns to Drake for help, since he has the right kind of magic. He's also appearing far too frequently in her dreams and nightmares for her comfort. If she's not careful, she might end up liking (or more than liking) the half-demon bounty hunter from Hell...if the lack of sleep and night sweats don't do her in first.

I don't blame the sandman on my nightmares but maybe I should after listening to this story.

Jody is still learning and developing her magic. She has started to have some really bad nightmares. Her family is suffering from them as well. Jody learns that more of the people from town are suffering. Jody is gets a call about a child ill as school as well. Jody figures all this ties together. Jody and Drake will try to get to the bottom of it before anyone else gets hurt. Jody and Drake seem to be getting closer, much to Jody's dismay.

I really enjoyed this story. The characters pull in as well as the story. Jody is fighting her attraction to Drake and makes some decisions. Her family are both having there own fun. I really hope that Jody and Drake move forward with their attraction with each other, these characters are great together. I recommend reading this.

Mr. Sand man bring me a error nightmare?

Everyone in town is being tortured with horrible nightmares. No one can really figure out why or who is causing it but, they are all overly exhausted and extremely moody due to lack of sleep. It is taking it's toll on everyone, friends, family, children, co-workers and the rest of the town. Isabel brings Jody a lead to a sand man who lives as a hermit outside of town. Can Jody figure out who it is stop them and save everyone before something seriously terrible happens?

This second book in series was very interesting, well written and engaging. The characters are intriguing, engrossing and fun. I truly enjoyed this book and the series thus far. I recommend it and am on to read the next book.

Nightmares & Night Sweats is the second book in the Harrow Bay series and in this book Jodi is still learning about Harrow Bay and her magic. I enjoyed this story and the way the nightmares affected the whole town. The writing is good, the characters are intriguing and the story is filled with drama, magic, humor, mystery, and an ending that left me wanting to know what would happen next. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Highly recommend!

This series is amazing. Jody is settling in as the new Sheriff and practicing her spells. Nightmares are plaguing the residents of the town and Jody is trying to navigate her way through some weird magic. I love Drake, he's a big bad half demon, but he likes Jody. They.just don't like to admit it. These books have to be read in order.

Sleepless Nights

Jody is becoming more accustomed to the magical world she is living in and practicing her magic. The arrival of a Sandman who is disturbing everyone's dreams gradually becomes more of an issue as residents of Harrow Bay become sleep deprived.

Not keen on how she backtracked with Drake, but no doubt simply a plot device.

Couldn't put it DOWN!!!

Such a intense plot I couldn't put it down!!!! I just couldn't stop reading til the very end. I enjoy these stories because their plot's are amazing. Mysteries are best when the reader cannot figure out the protagonist and has to continue reading til the end. These authors have such a way with words!!!!😍

3.5 stars - these are short but decent, women's paranormal with mature leads - this time three generations and 40 something single sheriff in a paranormal town along with her widowed mother and wild grandma.

Multicultural and Magical Characters

I’ve read many Paranormal Women’s Fiction and never encountered the variety of cultures or ethnicities. It was a pleasant change.

While still learning about her magic and getting used to her new job Jody realizes that everyone in the town is suffering from the same exact torture of horrible nightmares. I really enjoy the every day banter between Jody and Drake, some of it gets to be really funny. I can not wait to read more of this series.
