He promised he would never leave her. Then why did he break her heart eight years ago?
She said that he was her one and only. Then why did she tear their love apart eight years ago?
Flight attendant Makenna Akins has received a text from the man she loves every year for eight years, but they haven’t spoken a word to one another. Distraught over a harrowing decision that she made at a critical time in her life, Makenna has become a fraction of her former self. When she sees the man who once held her heart on a busy street one night in Vegas, Makenna wonders if she’s losing it.
Santana Alvarez vowed to stay out of Makenna’s life, but he’s always kept a watch over her from a distance. Now that he’s out of the military, he can no longer keep that promise. Staying away from her means hurting more than just him. When he rushes back into her life, Makenna is ready to love again. But will her self-destructive past catch up with her? Will Santana’s closely held secret be the force that drives a wedge between them once more? While secrets about her past are being revealed all around her, Makenna trusts no one. But a shared commitment might be the key to Makenna and Santana finding their forever love.
I don't think I've read a book this author has written that I didn't like. It's the feel good books for me. A book that cleanses your pallette. This was a really good read. Just read the damn book.
Santana and Makenna have been separated for 8 years, but Santana never gave up on Makenna during those years. Every morning, Santana sends Makenna texts, and I loved how these affirmation texts poured into her. Makenna had been through a lot in her life which caused her to act out in self-destructive ways. Once Santana re-enters Makenna life in person, Makenna discovers a secret that he has been keeping that makes a huge difference in her how she views herself. Makenna finally makes the decision to start healing herself and to accept everything that Santana was offering her. This book goes to show that a deep and abiding love really can heal all wounds even if they are deep within.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🎧 If I wasn’t such a series girlie, I honestly might have stopped after book one but I’m so glad I pushed through, because Just Forever completely redeemed the series for me. Although you truly don’t need to read the other two books to follow along with this one. This book had a level of depth and emotional weight that the previous ones didn’t quite have. Makenna’s journey really stayed with me. Her story brought out a level of tenderness that won’t make me write this author off.
I love how Santana and Makenna were able to go through their journey to find happiness again. It took a lot for them to heal, they made it. I was so happy to see how San and his parents did what was best for their son. It took a lot, but he knew he would get his family back. I was glad Makenna was able to heal and what happened in her family. It was sad how they treated her. I love how San care of her. It was a journey of loving and healing
I loved this book! It was truly a book about healing and forgiveness. I love how he really kept his word for over 8 years. He was a real one. He pushed for her and poured into her
Makenna & Santana have an interesting story and it is very unique. Santana’s family was very supportive. So much time seemed to be wasted with them being apart.
