I thoroughly enjoyed this fast paced thriller. I was instantly drawn to Helen Chesterfield, a recent paraplegic who just doesn’t seem to have the will to live anymore, yet is too scrappy to give up. She is paired with Juanita, much to her chagrin. Yet the two forge an unlikely but instant bond while being hunted down by men trying to kill them. The worst part is that neither of the women know why they are being hunted.
Darrell Denny does a masterful job setting the scene, brings to life our heros and within minutes sets ablaze the tension that is this cat and mouse story. This is definitely a page turner. I also loved the perfect quotes that start each chapter.
This was a 4.5 for me.
