समर लभमा केही कुरा थिए जो साँच्चै अधुरा थिए । अतीतको कोणबाट मात्र एकोहोरो लेखिएकाले केही कौतुहल र जिज्ञास बाँकी थिए । केही प्रश्न पनि थिए, जसले उत्तर माग्थे । र, उत्तरले सिक्वेल ।

मनोविज्ञान, व्यङ्ग्य र भावुकता भरिएको यो उपन्यासभित्र प्रेम गर्ने हरेकले आफैंलाई पाउनेछन् ।

सायाले ��सुरूमा केही आशा जगाउछ तर ३०
प्रतिशत पढेपछि त कथा नै सिद्धिन्छ ।
त्यसपछि अन्त्य सम्मै
पात्रहरूको एकोहोरो गन्थन छ । अन्त्य तिर
टर्निङ्ग पोइन्ट जस्तै आउछ तर तेतिन्जेलमा मन
मरिसकेको हुन्छ । ।

समरलभमा जस्तो पाठकले आफ्नो जिन्दगीसँग
रिलेट गर्न सक्ने घटनाहरू छैनन् । समरलभ
साधारण युवाहरूको कथा हो ।
साया मनखुशि विदेशबाट आवत जावत गर्न
सक्ने, नेपालमै कहीँ जानू परे पनि प्लेनबाटै जाने
पैसावाल युवाहरूको कथा हो ।

रून्चे अतितको बिलौना लेखकिय हिसाबले
अब्बल छ । तर पैले
पनि उसको रोनाधोना देखिसकेको हुनाले
खासै प्रभाव पार्दैन।

साया र सुस्मिताले गरेको सेल्फ
जस्टिफिक्सन मन पर्यो ।
मान्छेको आफ्नो गल्ति नदेख्ने
प्रवित्ति चित्रण गर्न सफल भएकाछन् लेखक ।
अनि उनको शैली राम्रो छ । विच
विचमा केही वाक्यहरूले मन छोएका थिए ।

भाषा सुधारेर र सेक्स नघुसाएर
पैलेका क्रिटिकहरूलाई खुशी पार्न खोजे
गस्तो लाग्यो । सिक्वेल लेखेर पब्लिसरलाई र
माग अनुसारको अन्त्य दिएर फ्यानहरूलाई
खुशी पार्न खोजेका छन् । सवैलाई खुशी पार्न
खोज्दै लेखक पिल्सिए, आफ्नो १०० प्रतिसत
दिन सकेनन् ।


समरलभको सिक्वेल कस्तो हुन्छ भन्ने
उत्सुकता थियो, मेटियो ।
यसका अलावा खासै केही प्रगति गर्न
सकिएन साया पढेर । समरलभ पढुन्जेल
मजा आएको थियो, त्यो पनि भएन
साया पढ्दा ।

'Summer Love' was written with a lot of heart. It was full of emotions unlike this book. The writer himself has admitted that he decided upon writing a sequel to 'Summer Love' after being persuaded by many people esp publishers (read business-minded people). I felt this story has not come from Subin's heart but from Ajit's mind. He created a story to sell (which has been explained by Subin in the Acknowledgement section). This is where & how 'Sayaa' failed to be close to reader's heart. I am very disappointed of what could have been a great read.

Hope Subin will come up with more writings written with a full heart.

प्रसंशा गर्नु पर्ने ठाउँ पनि छन् र आलोचना गर्ने पनि। ब्राह्मण युवा र नेवार युवती बिचको यो प्रेम कहानी कलाही लाग्दो छ, धेरै मन छुने पनि छ। कथाबस्तु सामान्य भए पनि भावनात्मक शब्दहरु सारै मिठा लागे। अतीत र सायाको यो कहानी धेरैलाई आफ्नो जस्तो लाग्न सक्छ किनभने यस्तो कहानी हाम्रो देशका थुप्रै युवायुवतीहरुले भोग्नु परेको छ। अहिलेका युवा बर्गहरुको बिचमा धेरै लोकप्रिय नेपाली भाषामा अंग्रेजी मिसाओत को कुराकानीहरु रमनिये लागे। त्यस माथि जति समय बित्दै गए पनि नमासिने अन्तरजातीय बिहेको संघर्ष, साचिनै आफ्नै जीवनमा भएको जस्तो महसुस भयो।

मेरो मन छोएका केही पंग्तिहरु यहा उतार्ने कोसिश गरेको छु।

आफ्नो परिवार र अतीत बीच एकजनालाई रोज्न परेपछि सायाले आफ्नो परिवारलाई रोज्न बाध्य हुन्छे। यस बिषयमा सायाले मन दुखाएको कुराहरु:
'''सम्बन्धहरु किन यति कम्जोर ? किन यस्तो स्वार्थी ? कसैलाई रोज्दैमा ऊ आफ्नो हुने, कसैलाई त्याग्दैमा ऊ पराइ ! कसको चित्त बुझाउनु ? अतीतको ? बाबाको ? या आफ्नो ? एउटालाई छान्नै पर्थ्यो। अतीतलाई छानेर बाबालाई त्याग्दा पनि म नालायक नै ठहर्थे। मेरो परिवार र समाजका नजरमा त म त्यस बेला पनि त खराब नै हुनथे। '''

सायाको निर्णय सुनेपछि अतीतको मनबाद , जुन प्रसंगहरु मलाई साह्रै राम्रा लागे:
'''कसरी पत्याउ बुढोको कुरा ? छोरीले आफु अनुकुलको बिहा गरिन भन्दैमा बुढालाई बिरामी भएको नाटक गर्नुपर्ने ? के अपराध गरेकी हो उसले ? हामी उनीहरुको समाजमा गएर कुनै हालतमा हस्तछेप गर्ने थिएनौ। इज्जत , मान- प्रतिस्था बूढा आफैसंग राखून न। किन तोड्न खोज्छन बारम्बार हाम्रो सम्बन्ध ? कस्तो धराप बुढोको मान प्रतिष्ठा। जाबो एउटा सम्बन्धले तोडिने?
उनीहरूकी छोरी खुसी र सुखी जीवन बिताइरहेकी थीई। के यो कुराले उनीहरुलाई कसै गरे पनि खुसी दिदैन ? कति हदसम्म स्वार्थी हुन सकेको बुढो ?'''

अतीत र सायाको बिछोड हुनु भन्दा पहिले सायाले अतीतलाई दिएको कसम :
'''मेरो अवस्थालाई नियाल्दै ऊ बोल्दै थिई, 'तर अतीत, एसको माने यो होइन - हामी बिछोड हुनेछौ। वाचा गरौ हामी हाम्रो स्थितीलाई लिएर कहिलै रुनेछैनौ। म तिमीलाई हरेक दिन फोन गर्छु। जहाँ गए पनि , जुनसुकै अवस्थामा भए पनि तिमी पनि मलाई निरन्तर फोन गर्नु। कहिले अलग - अलग त कहिले साथसाथै तद्पियौ हामी हाम्रो प्रेममा। आऊ आजबाट प्रण गरौ , जीवनभरका लागि एकअर्काको हुन नसके पनि यो दुख भन्ने चिजलाई झुक्किएर पनि हाम्रो जीवनला प्रवेश हुन दिनेछैनौ। वाचा गरौ, कुनै पनि दिन हाम्रो नबितोस जुन दिन हामी फोनमा नबोलेको होऊ। सधै एकापसकै समीपमा छौ भनेर अनुभूति गर्नेछौ हामी। म तिमीलाई मेरो जीवनको हरेक घटना अप्देत गराईरहनेछु। तिमी पनि तेस्तै गर्नु। एउतै सहरमा रहेऔ भने , लुकीचोरी भेतिरहनेछौ। अझ म त भन्छु , मिलेसम्म जहाँ भए पनि एकअर्कालाई भेट्ने अवस्था सिर्जना गरिरहौ ? वाचा गरौ , हामी सेतै फ़ुलुञ्जेल्सम्म, चाउरी परुन्जेलसंम सम्पर्कमा रहिरहौ। कहिलै बिर्सिने प्रयास नगरौ। समाजले जायज सम्बन्ध रुचाउदैन भने , नाजायज सम्बन्ध नै सही !'''

अन्तमा सायाको बिछोडमा पागल भएको अतीतको आत्मकथा:
'''यो के भइरहेको थियो मलाई ? किन प्रक्रितिबिरोधि भइरहेको थिए म ? बतासलाई थप्पड हान्न मन लागिरहेको थियो। पानीमा ठुकिदिनुजस्तो भएको थियो। गुलाबका पत्ताहरु एक-एक गर्दै च्यात्दै लात्ताले कुल्चिदिनुझै लागिरहन्थ्यो। आफ्नै कपाल लुछु भइरहेको थियो। चिच्चाउदै छातीमा आफ्नै मुड्कीले मुटु फुतुन्जेल हिर्काउन मन थियो। मिल्ने भए अझ त्योभन्दा अघि खसाईदिन्थे आकाश , जुन र ताराहरु खसाईदिन्थे सुर्य, पगालिदिंठे जम्मै धर्ति। न रहन्थ्यो बास, न बज्थ्यो बासुरी। न रहन्थ्यो छाती , न रहन्थ्यो चोट। न रहन्थ्यो घाउ, न रहन्थ्यो दुखाई। '''

साच्चिनै, कोही जतिसुकै सम्पन्न होस् , सफल होस्, आकर्षक होस्, आफुलाई मन परेको मानिषको ठाउँ कसैले लिन सक्दैन।

Emotional Roller-coaster. Though the suspense of summer love is broken quite early in this book, the book's still a pretty good read. The characters are very colorful, sometimes happy, sometimes sad. And, the use of words and the literary style in this book by Subin Bhattarai is superb.

One of the worst sequel of the book I have read in my whole life. The first installment of the book was so impressive that it does not stand to its level. Very disappointed with the book. The writer should not have published this book in the first hand. All the sweet memories and experiences of the "Summer Love" is destroyed by this book.

Dherai thari manxe ko anek thari raye. Saya padhda Summer Love ko doshro adhyaye jasari napadhi, Summer Love nai ho jasari padhe. Jun tarikale katha haru gaasiye, lagyo ti ghatanaharu etai katai ghatirahexan.

Nepali pustak maa dherai sahityik arthaharu padhne baani vaera hola, ali fika lagyo. Tara yesailai cinema ko parda maa herna paiyeko vae aaudhi ramailo lagthyo hola sabailai.

This book is the continuation of Summer Love. The first part is from Atit perspective which he describes based on his experience to the Author Subin Bhattarai. However, something seems missing so Subin wants to meet with saya and find the truth behind the reasons she behaved the way he behaved.

After two years, Saya is in kathmandu and Subin finally gets to meet her and listens to what she has to say. Atit and Saya were still not in contact and she had already written an email to her dad saying she was going to marry Sujan. With the conversation with Subin, the truth gets peeled out easily. He meets with Susmita and tries to clear the confusion.

Susmita is convinced to tell the truth to Saya. Saya agrees to meet with Atit and forgive him and things he did in the past. Finally, both meet each other in Norway and call back Subin. Subin is happy that they are back. However, now the problem is to convince Sujan, Saya's parents and Atit parents. After Atit reaches home, his parents want to meet saya. Saya is convinced and she goes to his house and instantly Atit finally feels as if he is married.

She is loved by the family. Now the problem is that her father want her to get engaged. She gets back to Kathmandu to meet with Sujan, trying to tell him the truth.

पहिलो पटक साया पढ्दा, समर लभ पढेको २ वर्ष भईसकेको थियो। समर लभको धेरै कुराहरु विस्मृत भइसकेका थिए त्यतिखेर।

केही दिन अघि समर लभ पुन: पढेको थिएँ, त्यस लगतै साया पनि फेरि पढेँ। पढेँ के भन्नु, जबरदस्ती पढेँ। सायालाई समर लभको सिक्क्वेलको रुपमा निकालेर निसन्देह समर लभ जस्तो धेरैले रुचाइएको उपन्यास माथि अन्याय नै भएको जस्तो छ।

साया लेख्नै पर्ने उपन्यास नै थिएन। र, समर लभ अधुरै छोड्नु पर्ने खालको उपन्यास पनि थिएन। त्यो बेला ४० - ५० पाना अतिरिक्त खर्चेर अतीत र सायाको प्रेमलाई सुखद अन्त्य दिएको भए हुन्थ्यो, वा कम्तिमा सायाको दृष्टिकोणबाट उपन्यासलाई टुङ्गाएको भए हुन्थ्यो।

सायामा व्याकरणीय त्रुटि त छँदै छन्, साथमा कतिपय ठाँउमा भाषिक त्रुटि पनि छन्।

मलाई यस्तो लाग्यो कि, समर लभ हिट भयो, यसको सिक्वेल साया जस्तोसुकै भए बिकिहाल्छ भन्ने उद्देश्यले लेखेको जस्तो लाग्यो मलाई। पाठकलाई २ वर्ष कुराएर, भावना हीन पुस्तक पैसा नै कमाउनको निम्ति नलेखेको भए राम्रो हुन्थ्यो।

Never did Nepali readers wait impatiently for a book to be released than Saya, a sequel to the hit Summer Love.
Nevertheless, Saya didn't live up to the impression set by it's prequel. I felt the writer forced himself to write and made the story boring, following the massive fan's desires of a sequel.
But,do read it to know more.

लेख्नै नपर्ने किताब , पाठकको आग्रह भन्दै लेख्ने र जबरजस्ती कथा लम्बाउन कै लागी पात्र लाई कैले कता कैले कता वेकाममा दौडाएर पात्रको जिवन नै वाच्न नदिने । र एउटा घटना जोड्न कै लागी वेतुकको परिवेश बनाउने कति ठाउॅंमा कल्पना शक्तिले मात्रै सबै पुस्तकलाई वास्तविक र सत्य बनाउछ भन्ने भ्रम पाल्ने पुस्तक भन्छु म । लेखकको कथाकी पात्र र समर लव पछिका पुस्तकमा , चेतन भगत को नेपाली भर्सन झल्किन्छ ।

बास्तबमा नै समर लभको सायाको रूपमा सबित भयो। समर लभ जत्तिकै प्रभावित हुन सकेन। सायाको सायाकै रूपमा रहेको समर लभको रहस्य छर्लङ्ग भय पश्चात् कथा भित्रको कहानी बिस्तारै बिस्तरै बुढ्यौलीतर्फ लम्किदै थियो यस्तो लागि रहेको थियो कि सुकेका फलफूल बटुलेर तीनको रस निचोरेर पिउदै छु।

Not as good as it's previous book 'summer love'. The relationship turns too toxic. What could have been prevented by communication between couple turns into huge divider between them coz of lack of communication. Unnecessary lengthening of story

If you enjoyed Summer Love, then this book is a must read. It's full of suspense and will take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. While reading this book, Saya and Atit's love story felt authentic, which just shows how well it's written.
