Put On Your Dollfaces is a dedication to women in horror. Thirteen stories explore female sexuality, violence, and loneliness, drawing inspiration from general anxieties and day-to-day experiences while also diving into the unnatural. From mermaids to aliens to sex robots, this collection twists and turns in unexpected ways...
Howdy! I’m A.J. I’m a first-time poet and have had a love for creating stories since I was twelve years old. Back then my goal was to become a mangaka (I was and still am a nerd). My goal now is to write full-length novels focused on horror, fantasy, and queer characters/themes.
A little about me: I was born and raised in Virginia, but now reside closer to family in sunny Florida with my four cats/my muses, Luke Skywalker, Grayson, The Meg, and Goose. I love reading and I’m currently working my way through the books on my shelves in the hopes of purchasing more. I’m a big horror movie buff – especially ones with great practical effects – and I’m rediscovering my love for anime! I collect soapstone animals and cat themed objects, and my best friend is actively recruiting me to join her cult despite my lack of interest.
In addition to writing, I work as an administrator in the higher education field. In the past I thought I would study to become a psychiatrist or a teacher, but now I have my sights on potentially pursuing a Bachelor’s in English with a focus on Creative Writing.
This is my first self-published work with the hopes of more to come!
