What Ho, Max! 🏰🐾

Traveling is never fun for cats—especially when it involves long flights and strange places. But when trouble strikes in a remote corner of England, we had no choice but to pack our bags (or rather, our carry bags) and head across the Atlantic.

Bumbleford Hall, a centuries-old estate in Shropshire, is at the center of a crisis. Lord and Lady Parry, desperate to avoid war between Upper and Lower Sclerosia, call on Odelia and her clowder of clever cats to retrieve the stolen Sclerosian Crown Jewels, the key to peace. But that’s easier said than done in a country filled with doddering earls, backstabbing diplomats, and scandalous affairs fit for a soap opera!

Things quickly spiral out of control as we find ourselves immersed in aristocratic intrigue and bumbling British nobility, not to mention Baroness Bumbleford, a pig who really hates cats!

Will Odelia be able to solve this high-stakes mystery before international war breaks out? Or will we find ourselves up to our whiskers in trouble?

A hilarious, quirky, and suspense-filled mystery set in the heart of England, featuring a lovable group of misfits, a dose of royal drama, and the most pampered cats you'll ever meet.

Nic has a background in political science and before being struck by the writing bug worked odd jobs around the world (including but not limited to massage therapist in Mexico, gardener in Italy, restaurant manager in India, and Berlitz teacher in Belgium).

When he’s not writing he enjoys curling up with a good (comic) book, watching British crime dramas, French comedies or Nancy Meyers movies, sampling pastry (apple cake!), pasta and chocolate (preferably the dark variety), twisting himself into a pretzel doing morning yoga, going for a run, and spoiling his big red tomcat Tommy.

He lives with his wife (and aforementioned cat) in a small village smack dab in the middle of absolutely nowhere and is probably writing his next ‘Mysteries of Max’ book right now.

Off to england again

Chase, Ordelia and the cats are off to England to help out a friend. The crown jewels of a nation in conflict are stolen from the country mansion where negotiations are taking place. Who stole them and why is what they need to determine. As usual, another great Max book.

I can never get enough of Max. All of the cats have such great personalities and because I have 2 cats myself, I WISH I could talk to them because I know they have a lot to share. I've read EVERY Max book so far.

Max

I 💕 love Max and family. A clean and funny mystery series.
Everybody is relatable.
Proves dirty language and scenes are not needed for awesome best sellers.
