Savage Duke was one hell of an entertaining story. Dark romantic suspense and Henry was the one who delivered all the carnage. He was ruthless when he wanted something. Whether it was justice or Eve. I liked that side of him very much. He didn’t hold back when he unleashed all his wrath or lust.
Eve being in uncharted territory she dived in and used her strengths to her advantage. Henry didn’t stand a chance. Their coupling was interesting especially because of their differences, the age gap but most importantly their heritages. Still either of them couldn’t care less when it came to them being together.
The killings added the suspense and of course how it all would be resolved cause there was action down to the last chapters. Also some awesome cameos from the Virtues and Lies series so what was not to like. Henry the Duke definitely delivered on all accounts.

I don't think you understand how happy I am that we are back in the world of Virtues and Lies. Did it take me a moment to realise we were in the same world, yes it did, did I scream out loud when it clicked and the cameo's started happening and the name drops, yes, yes I bloody did!
Each book I read from Alexandra gets better and better and Savage Duke is no exception. Eva and Henry had me in a chokehold 99% of the time, her light to his darkness, the push and pull, the banter, the SASS of Eva *chefs kiss* I didn't actually know what to expect from these two, I didn't know if they would work, but I was wrong and I'm so glad I am. These two are written perfectly for each other, yes it's an age gap but who f*****g cares. This world is brutal and dark and you feel like you are right there with them.
I love the fact that Alexandra took the time to weave the threads from Virtues and Lies into this story. I know I've mentioned it before but the CAMEOS and NAME DROPS! Holy smokes, I was so giddy, and to see some side characters make appearances were something that I didn't expect and it was such a treat! This world is so complex, the details are just outstanding, when you think you know whats going on and you've worked it out, bam, plot twist. This is why I love Alexandra's style and writing, she always keeps you on your toes.
I also love the woven bits of history and Alexandra's name choices and places. It helped that I studied the Jack the Ripper case in high school, so I see what you did there ;) It's brilliantly done and totally not what you think when you read the title. Put it this way, Henry is on the book boyfriend list. He's there and I am unashamed to say it.
I'm honestly surprised I didn't get more looks or wake my flatmate up when I read certain bits, especially the end, I think I laughed, cursed, gasped, and called 'I f*****g knew it' out loud multiple times. By the end, I was having a total meltdown because I needed to know what happened. Oh, I have to mention that prologue, because if that doesn't get you intrigued by the book, then I don't know what will.
And for my dark romance friends who love their spice, I got you. This does not disappoint. The spice is hot, it's dirty and unashamed. I will warn you though if you trigger easily, then this is not for you. Please read the warning at the start of the book before continuing.

This book is a wickedly sinful, decadently dark, mind-bendingly twisty, scorching hot romp that seizes you by the throat, steals your breath, makes your pulse pound and sends your temperature soaring. Henry and Eve are a captivating and consuming couple and just like the awe-inspiring and jaw-dropping story that the author crafted for them, much, much more than you might expect or even be prepared for. I loved this adaptation for Jack the Ripper, it was my first contact with Alexandra’s work and I liked how she balanced the darkness and the romance.
Henry’s character was extremely interesting im his duality. He could be a savage man with no regrets and a caring and romantic lover. His relationship with Eve had its ups and downs, but their connection was really intense.
Also, there is the suspenseful aspect as the background to their love story that kept things even more interesting. If you like your books dark, hot and romantic with a touch of suspense. Check out the Savage Duke.

This book right here is one of the many reasons why I’m obsessed with Alexandra Silva. She is literally (in my eyes anyway) the Queen of dark romance. If I could give more than 5 ⭐️, I would.
I can’t decide whether my review will be long or short as I do not want to ruin anything.
Eve and Henry’s relationship is nothing like what you got used to. It’s dark, forbidden, twisted with full of lies but also love.
And love is the least you would expect from The Ripper. He kills everyone who is accountable for his father’s death. Even he thinks it could be the love of his life.
When you sit on your sofa reading the book, you think you know what’s going to happen then BAM you try to catch your breath and think WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! Then your heart calms down only to be prepared for the next BAM.
You don’t know who to trust as nobody seems to be the person you think they are.
And that is all I’m going to say so make sure you and grab your copy now! I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed 😍

HOLY HELL! I couldn't get enough of this deliciously dark & twisted thrill ride with the whole Jack the Ripper vibes. It's because of all the chaos that I won't go into detail about the story (going in blind is certainly the best way to go) since I just don't want to give anything away. I will say that our couple, Eve & Henry are perfect together (despite his psychopathic tendencies), and I LOVED them both. They lit the pages on fire, and I couldn't get enough. The twists coming in hot is where the story levels up as I couldn't figure out things ahead of time, so I just stayed on the edge of my seat dropping f-bomb after f-bomb, and I'm about to go in again to see what I missed the first round since it was completely twisted. Savage Duke was utter perfection in my eyes that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

4.5 Stars. OMG!!!! I've never met a hero like Henry. I'm not going to say it cause I don't want to spoil anything, but I never saw it coming. Lol I LOVE it!!!!
It was dark, gritty, SEXY, suspenseful, intense, and all the good things. It's an age gap, and yes the heroine is a virgin.
Henry's father was killed, and he stepped up to take his father's place as the Duke. At this father's funeral, he met the sweet, young, innocent Eve. The push and pull between these two...explosive!!!
I do have to say that there were quite a lot of characters that I couldn't really keep track who was who, and I got confused quite a lot. 😅 Besides that, I LOVE Henry and Eve and the storyline so much!!!

This book was very dark and twisted, definitely a perfect read for Halloween! It’s got all Jack the Ripper vibes, perfect! This was my first time reading a book from this series, so I’m wasn’t sure what to expect going in. But I love anything dark!
Eve and Henry are complete opposites, but fit together perfectly. He tried to resist her, saw her as too young and as a “untainted little girl”.
But once he gave in!!! Sparks flew and it was explosive with these two. She was exactly what he needed. She definitely has a backbone, which is really great to see. Once she learns of his ways, she doesn’t care, she still loves him. And his love for her… it was like “touch her and you die”! Henry was a brutal killer, but he has a whole other side for just Eve.
This book had me hooked from prologue and guessing right to the end! I never saw it coming, the mole/traitor was a complete surprise!

I just finished reading Savage Duke by Alexandra Silva and this books was amazing.
It was dark
It was gritty
It was sexy and hot
The way he loves her 🥰 The way she loves him, killer and all…it’s just so 🥰🥰
I was left guessing till the end who the mole was and when it was revealed, I was shocked and impressed with how Alexandra worked it into the story.
I highly highly recommend this one!

So I struggled a lot with this book and it wasn’t one that sucked me in and I just couldn’t keep interested.
Henry was someone that was rough and I think if the prologue hadn’t been what it was then maybe I would have warmed up to him a little more. I’ve read lots of books with one of the characters being a killer and was cheering for them but this one just seemed to fall a little flat for me with Henry. I did like how protective he became of Eve and I liked the way he treated George with respect but there was just something missing for me.
I really liked Eve and found her naïve in most instances yet she was also willing to give herself to Henry quite easily. I felt bad that she had lost so much in her life but she still kept doing what she could to survive and help out with George and Jessie.
There was definitely chemistry between the two of them and Eve had a lot of people, especially at the club, cruel to her so she did her best to fight through it all. Eve was headstrong and really able to push Henry’s buttons which heightened the chemistry between them.
We knew there was a mole somewhere in the book and I had a couple of guesses and I was right on a couple of the accounts.
There were a lot of charact
ers and sometimes it was difficult who was who and a few times I was trying to really figure out who was related to who and how they really tied into the story.

The Ripper/Savage Duke is an insanely crazy dark romance that is filled with madness, corrupt characters, twists and turns at every corner, an insanely interesting plot, and lotsssss of sizzling steam!! I LOVE being in the world of the Lies and Virtues series, and I really want more books on Henry and Eve.. I mean it was THAT good! The Ripper/Savage Duke is a reimagination of Jack the Ripper, told in dual POV and set-in modern-day London with a secret club/secret society type of twist! The book was very well written, that I was invested the whole way through trying to figure everything out. Same with the characters, they are captivating and just feel so real, the world building is excellent too, I mean even the side characters were just complete perfection! It is not for the faint of heart as there are some scenes that might be considered pretty dark and harsh to some, so make sure to check the TW.
Henry is a duke with dark secrets and a darkness within himself. He will do whatever it takes to get what he wants, no matter how cold-hearted he may come across. He will go at you full force without a doubt in mind. His father dies, leaving him with a title he doesn’t – the Duke of Gloucester- want but has to take as he is royalty. He is a part of Hush, an exclusive club for the elite men of London, where men can play out their most wicked and depraved fantasies to life. Married, single, rich, and royal. The secret pocket that the Wolfsden Society keep their pawns in. He isn’t used to people acting like Eva does around him. He is the definition of dark and dangerous literally. He is an alpha-hole that can be domineering, explosive, arrogant, and broody, but his heart is beautiful, pure, and he loves with everything he has. He is loyal, through and through... also I love how possessive he is. He gives off total “touch her and die” vibes and I AM HERE FOR IT 100%!! It is basically impossible to fall in love with the antiheros Alexandra creates.
Eve is a fiery violinist, and Henry actually sees her for the first time playing the violin and instantly captivated by her, as she is to him. She was orphaned at 15 years old and has been on her own this whole time. Her behavior is very brazen, and she doesn’t sugarcoat anything, saying whatever is on her mind, never taking shi* from anyone. She is truly such a badas* musical heroine. She is the light to his darkness, the only one capable of softening Henry’s heart and bringing out his sweet side to the surface, despite him being a ruthless killer. Eve loves and accepts him regardless of his imperfections and mistakes, and he loves and accepts her as she is too. They are the definition of soulmates, like two magnets next to one another, they are impossible to ever apart.
Together these two are scorching hot, and the chemistry between them is palpable… off the freaking charts! When their worlds collide, they simply cannot deny the pull towards each other. Their relationship is so unique in many different ways which you will see and love when you read it. Highly recommend!! Also, I suggest going in blind, soooo worth it!
PS – Be prepared to have your mouth drop at who the mole is. And I know, I know, I already said this but THE STEAM IS SO SO GOOD!! Well done Alexandra!!

Together these two are scorching hot, and the chemistry between them is palpable… off the freaking charts! When their worlds collide, they simply cannot deny the pull towards each other. Their relationship is so unique in many different ways which you will see and love when you read it. Highly recommend!! Also, I suggest going in blind, soooo worth it!

A duke with dark secrets, a girl fighting for survival in a cruel world, a secret society riddled with betrayal and scheming, and love that no one expected and was doomed to fail before it ever started. What’s not to like?
Henry is one of those characters that carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. He’s got a darkness to him that keeps him from getting to close to most of the people in his life. He’s also determined to uphold his duty to the crown and follow in his fathers footsteps playing a role within a society kept behind closed doors regardless of whether it’s what he wants for his life or not. A society that has one mission - to protect the crown no matter the cost. But when he sees Eve playing one evening he suddenly can’t see anything else but her. Shes younger than him, way to young in fact, but he can’t let go of the feeling her and her violin have given him. It’s the one thing in his life that brings him joy and peace. He may not can have Eve fully in the way he wants but he can keep her and her music for himself. If it’s the only way he can have her then so be it. It will have to be enough… until it isn’t.
The tension between these two is intense and their banter/bickering back and forth is fantastic! I love that Eve isn’t afraid to tell him like it is or throw her opinion at him just because of his high ranking social status. She’s fearless yet she has every reason to not be. The little twist to her character that makes her different from everyone else I so did not see coming. At first I wasn’t sure what the purpose was but when I realized why and how that played a role in the things happening around them it all made sense. It was so unexpected and I love that it was something you never hear or read about.
Henry is also a lot darker than I expected him to be. At the beginning of the story I didn’t fully see it as a possibility but by the end of the book I was a tad shocked by how wicked he truly is. And I couldn’t get enough of that side of him. Especially at the very end - whew! Had me over here begging for someone else to cross him and bring more of that side out to play haha! However, that charm of his can give his dark side a run for its money cause I can’t deny this man had me straight swooning left and right a few times throughout the last half of the book.
The story was super hot and went in directions that felt new or different. It kept me entertained and invested in the way the plot plays out. It does have several scenes that are pretty dark and gruesome so make sure to check the TW fully before reading. But overall a great take on the legend of Jack the Ripper and I definitely recommend it.

Oh my my my! This is definitely in the top three darkest things I have read to date, and I was so here for it. I coveted this arc from the minute I saw it in my email, and I was SO happy when it landed on my kindle. Something about the idea of rooting for Jack the Ripper was so intriguing. I loved the twist on the story and the motive behind why Henry did what he did made sense (for a fictional dark romance).
As far as Henry and Eve…holy COW they have chemistry and I fell for them so fast. I rooted for them every second, even when I thought for a bit there it was hopeless. I loved how protective he was over here - it’s my weakness. There is an age gap but it didn’t seem like a big deal to me at all. She’s 19 and he’s in his 30s. Maybe it’s because I have a 12 year age gap in my own marriage, but I felt like the other characters were making waaaayyyy too big a fuss over it!
The spice. Y’all. Oh. My. GOD. It was fire. They were just out of this world together. Every scene was hotter than the last. I will say there was a scene of dubcon bordering on perhaps non-con (depending on your definition I suppose?) that was a *little* much for me. HOWEVER… in the context of the story, it flowed more like dubcon after I thought about it (yeah, I overthought it. I do that. Lol). I didn’t let it affect my review because it’s dark romance, and those things are a part of the genre at times. I don’t want to say too much and spoil anything. You’ll know when you get there.

But I thoroughly enjoyed it, and would recommend to any dark romance reader. Intermediate level at least, lol.

Savage Duke is a deliciously dark and twisted story based on Jack the Ripper. Dangerously seductive and tragic yet also mouthwateringly romantic, Eve and Henry are passionate, fiery and so addictive. I was so excited when I realized I was back in the world of the Lies and Virtues series and this rollercoaster ride of a story kept me on the edge of my seat.
“Eve’s everything I never knew I needed and everything I’ve ever wanted.”
Eve was a young woman with a tragic past and she was just fighting to survive. While she’s wise to the dark and dangerous happenings in the world, she’s also a bit naïve. She’s feisty and refuses to bow down to Henry even when the feelings he arouses terrifies her. I loved her spunk and spirit and how she was fierce in her devotion.
“Something inside me recognizes something in you, and I can’t stay away.”
Henry was cruel and sadistic and set on a revenge to avenge his father while also protecting the crown. Eve captures his eye and he’s fascinated by her from the moment they met. She brings him a sense of peace that is rarely present in his world and his devotion to her is single-minded even in the face of betrayal. His love borders on obsessiveness but you can’t help be drawn to the tenderness his shows to Eve.

I was hooked from the prologue by this gripping, dark romantic suspense story. This story, one of The Twisted Legends Collection—individual stories by various authors based on legends but as stated—was so very twisted! The Wolfsden Society was the setting where Henry Sloane, the new Duke of Gloucester, and Eve, a young violinist, met. A Jack the Ripper inspired story that at times sent chills down my spine, while at other times made me smile.
Henry was intense, domineering, extremely arrogant yet there’s another side to him, one I am not sure even he appreciated. As Eve described him, ‘…beautiful and beastly all at once. Simultaneously alluring and intimidating.’ Eve was young but her determination and strong backbone pushed her forward—whether that was always a good thing or not I will leave up to you to decide. Together the chemistry they had was inflammable, one tiny spark was all they’d need for them to burn!
The suspense element simmers along giving some quite large puzzle pieces but then you realise they make not quite fit in where you thought. The ending was superb and definitely five-star in itself. I’m not going to say anything else or it might spoil it for other readers.
Once again, to be wrapped up in the fantastic words by this incredible author was, simply put, a sheer delight. Ms Silva never ceases to amaze me with how she creates intricate plots with extremely interesting characters, all tied together with a plethora of emotive language. I loved her Virtue and Lies series and this is a wonderful addition with cameo roles by some characters from that series. It is a complete standalone story, so please don’t feel concerned if you haven’t read that series. Do yourself a favour though and read it, as you won’t regret it!

𝙎𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝘿𝙪𝙠𝙚 is part of the "𝘛𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘓𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯" that features some amazing authors and stories, Alexandra Silva included. I have already reviewed 4 other books in his Series and when I saw this one was happening next I could wait to sign up and read it right away.
This book has it all. It has steam, darkness, twisted stuff, angst and it is such a page turner. Savage Duke is the first book I read by Alexandra, but it sure as heck won't be the last. Her writting is just amazing. The characters are sooo well done, world building, side characters...everything really is just perfect. Definetly a must read, especialy for this Spooky time of year.

Even though I’ve not read all of this authors books, I am a huge fan of hers.
This is by far the darkest of her books that I have read but in the most delicious way!!
The book is part of the Twisted Legends series and it’s the only one that I have read but I will definitely be reading more of them. This one is a reimagining based on the Jack the Ripper story.
The book grabs you from the get go and has you gripped right until the very end, with all its high power setting of the aristocracy and what power that they can wield and how one man becomes alive when he finds his love but what will they go through to get their happy ending? Is it always money and wealth that hold the true power?
At the heart of this is love story that will at times break you and then, hopefully, put you back together again in the most satisfying way.
Henry is the Savage Duke, who is a member of royalty and is also highly involved at the Hush club and the Wolfsden Society, who are sworn to protect the crown. He is also hard, closed off, savage and has been known to kill to do whatever is needed for the crown.
Eve is a 19year old woman, who has gone through so much in her young life (including a rare blood disease) that she is a lot wiser than her years.
Their relationship is so full of passion that it pushes them both to their limits and Alexandra writes it all so beautifully and eloquently.
I can’t recommend it enough!

Savage Duke is part of the 'Twisted Legends' series and when I saw it was loosely based on 'Jack the Ripper' I jumped at the chance to read it. I've been obsessed with the mystery of Jack the Ripper for a really long time.
Eve, although she was 19 was really headstrong and knew exactly what she wanted in life, and that was Henry. Henry being much older, knew the life he lived, he couldn't give Eve what she wanted/needed.
I found Eve's rare disease to be a really interesting part of the story, although her naivety towards it and what could possibly happen left me questioning her at times.
Henry was brutal in his killings, brutal in his love for Eve, and in his relationships with everyone. I really did enjoy the push and pull these two had, and underneath 'the monster' he claims to be, there is a really sweet side when it comes to Eve.
A couple of things really took me out of the story, one being, there was such a vast amount of characters that I was sometimes left confused as to who was who. Secondly, it took me a while to get into each chapter as I had to figure out whose POV I was reading without chapter headers stating who it was.
Overall I did still enjoy the book, and found the ending well done as I didn't figure out who the mole was.

Savage Duke is part of the 'Twisted Legends' series and when I saw it was loosely based on 'Jack the Ripper' I jumped at the chance to read it. I've been obsessed with the mystery of Jack the Ripper for a really long time.
Eve, although she was 19 was really headstrong and knew exactly what she wanted in life, and that was Henry. Henry being much older, knew the life he lived, he couldn't give Eve what she wanted/needed.
I found Eve's rare disease to be a really interesting part of the story, although her naivety towards it and what could possibly happen left me questioning her at times.
Henry was brutal in his killings, brutal in his love for Eve, and in his relationships with everyone. I really did enjoy the push and pull these two had, and underneath 'the monster' he claims to be, there is a really sweet side when it comes to Eve.
A couple of things really took me out of the story, one being, there was such a vast amount of characters that I was sometimes left confused as to who was who. Secondly, it took me a while to get into each chapter as I had to figure out whose POV I was reading without chapter headers stating who it was.
Overall I did still enjoy the book, and found the ending well done as I didn't figure out who the mole was.

INCREDIBLE FROM BEGINNING TO END.
I haven’t read a story with a love this strong and deep in such a long time it was so incredibly refreshing.
While this book is not for the faint hearted Henry and Eve’s love for one another is out of the world, there are truly no real words to express how deeply they care for one another. Henry was an incredibly flawed human but Eve loved him despite it all, took him exactly as he was and refused to try and change him. Much like Eve, Henry takes her exactly as she is loves her and all her imperfections and never asks her to change for him. I think they’re love for one another without boundaries is what made this an instant 5⭐️ read for me, they’re love was beautiful and so strong.
Outside of the romance aspect of it this was just an incredibly story, the plot twists always kept me on my toes and I really never what to expect next. There are so many small details to take into consideration and so many ways to get confused with all the different characters we’re introduced to but the author does an incredible job of making everything clear for the reader and impossible to get lost. This story was dark but oh so fun to read.

Eve is an aspiring violinist who finds herself playing a gig at an exclusive club one night. While performing, one man can’t seem to keep his eyes off her. Once the night is over, she is working her day job at a coffee shop when the butler to the club makes her an offer she can’t refuse, she is to be the personal violist to the Duke of Gloucester. Henry has just taken over as the Duke of Gloucester since his father was murdered. He is out for revenge when a young and naive girl comes into his life. There is just something about Eve that draws Henry in. He knows he should pursue her but he always gets what he wants in the end. How will Henry seek vengeance for his father’s death and will Eve be a casualty in it all. This is a reimagination of Jack the Ripper and is a part of the Twisted Legends Series. It is a dark romance with some triggering scenes. I really enjoyed Alexandra Silva’s writing style. I loved how beautifully she sets the scenes in the book and how descriptive she was. I found the book to drag on a little bit but overall I enjoyed the book. The ending was great and really wrapped everything up.

I have read a few of the Twisted Legends Collection and this one is just as good. This is Henry and Eva's story and what a dark and twisted devilish take it is. This story will captivate and pull you into its psychotic depths from the first chapter. Eva is a spitfire, full of sass women who speaks her mind even when she shouldn't. When she is first spotted by Henry playing her violin she is just as intrigued by him as he is of her. The push and pull between these two is palpable and electric. Henry is not used to people talking to him the way Eva does. Sh e is his light to his darkness a true match in every way. As you read this story you are sucked in and feel like you are immersed right in the world with them and feel each of the twisted emotions the characters are going through. They have a chemistry that is on fire and burn up the pages. With all the twists that keep happening our mind is spinning trying to figure out what is going on and who the mole is, what a surprise that revelation was. Another fantastic book in the Twisted Legends Collection. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

Having read Ms.Silva's work many times before i always look forward to more from her! As soon as i found out she'd be releasing a book in the Twisted Legends Collection i couldn't wait to read it! I picked it up and got right into it. I so enjoyed it!
Henry and Eve's journey captured my attention! As these two and their worlds collide, nothing will be the same. Will Henry and Eve lead each other to ruin or can they prove to be what the other needs in their life? I couldn't wait to see how it'd unfold for these two.
