I received a free copy of this book from booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Angel, the MMC, fell for the FMC, Bri after he saw her with another man that he did not like. The other man was Bri's fiance. Angel decided that he was going to insert himself to determine if she needs to be saved from her new life.

A lot has happened that has lead to her being engaged to one man but married to another. At the center of it all is her father, who continues to use her, but this time he wants her to betray Angel.

She is driving herself mad trying to figure out if she should betray her husband in an act of loyalty to her father.

This is the first time, I have read this genre of writing and was totally rooting for the MMC. Angel did unthinkable things in the name of love/attraction and she still doubted him. All he had to do was call me Mi Amor( his pet name for her)and I would have told him my childhood secrets:-)

Angel & Bri: a good story

This is the fourth book in the Forced Mafia Marriages series by Kelani Knox, and the second one for me, as I started with the third book (and I have every intention of going back and read the first two because I love this word). I liked it a lot, even if there were some things that I think could be presented a bit less abruptly.

But first things first. The story as a whole was amazing. Great, flowing plot and really likable characters – especially Angel. Typical Mafia man, the silent, determined, calculating type besides the Boss. But also the fierce protector, the man that he believes what he says and follows through no matter what. Bri is a trapped bird, a pawn in her father’s game, although she hides fire within her. She is used as an asset and nothing else, although she loves her father. Her father literally sells her to the highest bidder, Eli Harking as a trophy wife. Eli and Angel have a past and Angel is waiting to extract his revenge. He sees Bri. He is captivated by her. So, game on. The day of the wedding marks a rollercoaster of events. Will Angel and Bri find their HEA in this dangerous world? It was an amazing journey I couldn’t stop reading about till the very last page. The only thing that I would have liked to be presented better was a couple “jumps” in the story here and there. For instance, Bri meets Ginni and Anya by chance at a café, and suddenly we see them as best friends in the Boss’s house, with Angel present. Despite this though, it was unquestionably a great read. 4 stars.

Family loyalty was not worth a penney

Bri place undeserved loyalty in her father who did not deserve it. He showed no love for her at all by his actions. Those actions should have been enough not to trust him but Bri desperately wanted his love. Angel knew that bro was the one for him when he first laid eyes on her. It was an unconventional way of marrying someone. He was thoroughly hurt when his ideal bride did he unthinkable. Angel was so in love he was willing to urn the town down to protect the woman he love. Bri finally came to understand that Angel was the only man to love her enough to do just that.

Bri is caught between duty to her father and happiness. When her father signs her life away in an arranged marriage to forgo his debts it sets her path. Angel gets wind of his enemy's upcoming wedding and formulates a plan one that will change both his and Bri's life forever. This action-packed story had me all caught up in the thrilling twists and turns and characters as it unfolds.

When Mafia beast Angel takes out Bri's fiance on their wedding Day he takes her for himself. Her father wants to use the closeness to bring him down, but Angel isn't the monster Bri beleived in, now she's torn between family loyalty and love. But Angel ever love? Well written engaging steamy desires, obsession and more.

Angel is anything but an Angel, however when he shoots the groom and then marries her himself. Things get interesting real quick, learning to trust each other is a new thing for both of them. When the truth of what she has been doing at night comes out can he forgive her?.

Wow, it was just so crazy that Angel turned up at the wedding and killed the groom. Who does that? It was very dramatic. Bri's father has to be the worst father I have read about. I was really sad when she did what her father requested of her. She has a man that is willing to do anything for her and she betrays him for her no good father. Luckily, this really loves her because he forgives her.

What a Ride!!!

I almost stopped reading, because it seemed to get a little dry, but I am so glad I kept going. Wonderful story about love and forgiveness. Love really does cover a multitude of sins. Their story is what every girl dreams of. Great work.

I wanted so much to enjoy this but the author was redundant with writing how her ring kept catching the light and the reminder of Angel's scars...
This is my first read from the author. Maybe if I read it in order it would have been better?

It was ok

I loved Angel’s character I just hated how when he had shown Bri nothing but love she still betrayed him in the worst way. I wished she’d would’ve had more of a backbone when it came to her father and had more trust in Angel that he would protect her.

There are some grammatical errors and inconsistencies in the story. I can look past the occasional grammar error but the inconsistencies irked my soul. First, it was three days after he killed him, then one day. How? It was a good book overall but it needs more editing.

Till Death Releases Me

Bri was just to naive and Angel to trusting. Angel saved her and she betrayed him. Angel deserved better than that and her father deserved what he got.

pretty good

No my favorite book of hers as Bri was a Monsanto pain in my ass for betraying Angel, but not a bad story.

Enjoyed reading this

A story about low self esteem, lost trust and respect. Things that can and will destroy any relationship if there is no communication.

Meh…

I wanted to like this more but the phrases ‘catching the light’ ( and versions of it) just irked me after the 5th time I read it.

Till Releases Me

I like the story line and the characters however the repetitive line about how the light did this or that through the entire book was a bit much for me.

This was so confusing. At first I read Bri as black then all of a sudden she has pale skin and white knuckles 😳. The wavy hair in the water. I was starting to question if I was reading the same book. And the mention of the ring I every single chapter. That was so annoying. There was a lot of inner monologue on Bri's part. The fact that she couldn't decide whether to betray her husband was ridiculous. Girl please. Your dad has sold you twice, what are you confused about??
Bri mentions her scar a few times. No idea how she got it. This book was awful. It has so much potential
