Ming's Adventure with Confucius in Qufu: A Story in English and Chinese is a children's picture book written and illustrated by Li Jian and translated by Yijin Wert, which tells a story about a boy named Ming and his wonderful adventure with Confucius in Qufu. This is the fourth book in the Ming's Adventure series.

The text is simplistic and straightforward. It tells a story about a boy named Ming who travels to Qufu, Confucius' hometown and the imaginative adventure he met along the way. It is an imaginative story, a tad shallow, but written or translated rather well. There are myriad facts in the back of the book about Confucius and from the little Chinese I know, the translation seems to be accurate. The illustrations are simply wonderful and capture the text rather well.

The premise of the book is rather straightforward. A boy named Ming and his father travel to Qufu in China's Shandong Province – the hometown of Confucius. While his father is admiring the architecture, Ming's attention was drawn to a game of Chinese checkers and is transported to the past where he meets Confucius and his students. Together, they explore the principles established by the renowned teacher and sage, which remains so important in China today.

All in all, Ming's Adventure with Confucius in Qufu: A Story in English and Chinese is a wonderfully written children's book that delves into the life and times of Confucius and his philosophies.
