A Twisted Fate #2

Death's Kiss

Rate this book
There are rules that keep the universe in line, that keep Death and Fate balanced in a delicate dance.

A Reaper can’t feel.
A Reaper can’t love.
A Reaper can’t die.

Sephtis

Reapers can’t feel. We aren’t born. We’re created from the essence of the dead, from Death himself breathing us into existence. We have one purpose.

Ferry mortals to the afterlife so they can be judged, weighed, and born anew.

I’ve taken countless human souls, and I’ve never cared… until I met a human who made me throw everything away for the chance to feel him for just a moment before he died.

And then… I saw his twin brother.

Cole

I don’t know who the man is, but I hate him. He was with Caiden when he died. He was there when I couldn’t be.

And now he won’t leave me alone. I think about him all the time. I dream about him.

All I want is for him to get out of my head.

All I want is to know why he’s looking at me like I’m the only thing he can see.

And all I want to know is why, when I nearly die, is he there to take my hand?

Death’s Kiss is a dual POV MM Romance about a Reaper and the human he’d do anything to keep, even if it means defying his very nature and going against Fate. Expect intense emotions and a journey of grief and love. HEA guaranteed. While it can be read as a standalone, the series is best enjoyed in order.

A gripping, emotional, and beautifully written novel about a reaper that chooses to feel when all he’s known is death.
I loved Love’s Ace, and this second book in the series was another absolute banger. It also made me so excited for the next book, (and hopefully the one after!)

Sephtis is a reaper who is moved by the soul of Caiden, sacrificing everything in order to gain the ability to feel. After a beautifully written and emotional encounter with Caiden, his soul moves on. Sephtis is left to love the ‘best part’ of Caiden, which turns out to be his twin, Cole. Cole, who hates Sephtis, but is now the centre of Sephtis’ world.

This book has:
-reaper x human
-very cool paranormal world building
-one-sided hate to love
-accidental psychic vampire
-soulmates
-so much emotion (lots of grief, but mostly love)
-strong themes of death (check TWs)

This book starts off hitting HARD. It’s going to hook you immediately, and you are going to lock in!

Lee McCormick has the most creative and engaging storylines and elements in their stories, and Death’s Kiss is no exception. I loved the expanding lore, as well as the returning characters from book one!

This book is EMOTIONAL. Like, I rarely cry when reading. But I had tears in my eyes by chapter 5?? It was so raw and well written. For a book under 300 pages, I was impressed by how impactful this story was!

This isn’t a book with strong character development or personalities. Instead, it’s focused heavily on a super interesting and fast paced plot, strong themes, and beautiful prose.

I ate this book up in a day! Definitely don’t miss this one!

This was so beautifully written.

Lee makes you feel so much with his writing. You felt right along with what these sad men are experiencing.

This was such a unique meet-cute I'll say. The grief, anger, hate and pain. But you also have such longing, yearning and neediness.

“What are you?” “Yours,” he said simply, almost helplessly, like it was the only answer he could give.”

Their connection was unmistakable. They were so passionate, so sensual in their intimacy. When you have an inexperienced MC who is not afraid to just “feel” sparks literally fly. This was stunning.

This gives dark vibes, but it was filled with hope, a desperate need to belong and just have someone. To know someone is there, to just feel. Beautiful, emotional and vulnerable.

The grief was palpable for Cole, losing his twin brother Caiden was too immense for him to carry. His reluctant connection to Sephtis ended up being his light in his dark abyss.

“Then I choose death. For him, I choose death. I choose dying and finding him a thousand lives over. I’ll always choose him.”

I adored seeing Wren, Theo and even Gethin.

Phenomenal book, beautiful outcome, healing and closure. Just magical.

So thankful for this arc

I thought I was ready. Oh, how wrong I was.
(No, seriously. I need to call my therapist to talk about those first 4 chapters)

Sephtis is such a compelling character - cold, controlled, and bound by rules he was never meant to question. Watching him slowly unravel as he learns what it means to feel was painful and beautiful all at once.
His connection to Caiden is so tender and tragic 😭

But it’s Cole who truly broke my heart. Grief is written so raw in this book that it feels almost too real, and the way loss, guilt, and anger intertwine through him had me aching for him. The survivor’s guilt, and the way he feels incomplete without Caiden, fuck...it really hurt to read.

This story isn’t about love being easy.
It’s about love being inevitable, even when it hurts, even when it feels wrong, even when Death itself is in the way.

The slow burn is delicious, the atmosphere is dark and immersive, and the emotional payoff is devastating.

If you like soulmates, supernatural angst, grief-heavy stories, and love that defies Fate itself - this one will absolutely consume you.

Death’s Kiss was one of my most anticipated reads because of how much I loved Love’s Ace. It was so emotional right from the first chapter, and I wondered how I would make it through the rest of the story. Sephtis and Cole were incredible characters, and their journey to be together was deeply moving from start to finish. The emotional journey continued throughout the entire book.
Lee has created something truly special with this series. The way fate, love, and death are woven together to create a balance is truly unique. I loved seeing Wren and Theo again; they will always be special to me. The story and characters are simply perfect.

This was so good! I absolutely love everything about this series! Any time death, a demon, the devil or fates are personified I’m in! Sephtis and Cole were so good together. The beginning of this book definitely had me in my feelings a bit when it came to Sephtis’ interaction with Caiden but it showed how sweet Sephtis could be. I loved how obsessed Sephtis was with Cole from the beginning and boy did Cole make him work for him (as he should). Sephtis was an adorable reaper who was growly, dangerous and yet so soft hearted for Cole. Cole was so full of grief and anger with no real outlet for it so he took it out on the one closest to him (Sephtis) all the while feeling a pull to protect and keep him close. I enjoyed the dynamic between these two and the push pull was fun to see. I really liked seeing Wren and Theo again. The side characters are always great! I’m excited for book three and what’s to come with this series!

This series I think is so unique, I absolutely felt all the feelings in this one!

I was pulled in from the very first chapter and was literally addicted to how Cole and Sephtis interacted. Cole not wanting anything to do with Sephtis was such a sad but understandable feeling and I loved that Sephtis never gave up on what they were meant to be. Stories like this really make you think of so much more than the now, but what happened after in life when all is said and done. Cole is so broken after the loss of his brother he doesn’t see anything but sorrow and rage, it takes true love thats was always meant to be to help his fine the light at the end.

This was a sweet but also sad story about loss, love and finding out what life is truly all about.

I loved this book and of course the side characters, I can’t wait for the next one!!

Okay, y'all grab the Kleenex because you're definitely gonna want them for this read.

I was so impressed with sephtis and Cole. I fell in love with both of them right from the beginning of the pages. There are definitely some tear-jerking scenes from the beginning to the end that are going to pull at your heartstrings. For me, that was especially chapters 27 and 29, even though I admittingly cried at a few scenes in the beginning.

Septis may be a reaper, but instead of dark and scary like we have come to expect from a reaper with Cole, he's soft and loving and fiercely protective against anything that could harm him.

Cole, oh boy, I wanted to reach through the pages and hug him so bad. It was written so well that you could feel his hurt and pain and wanted to comfort him.

This book tells the story of loss ,pain , love, and beyond all things your true soulmate will carry through all time.

✨🎧 ALC Review

A world filled with cupids, love, lust and soulmates...as well as evil, reapers and hellhounds... Where fate always has a hand in everything, even when the "impossible" happens and souls forbidden to love still find their twin flame. ❤️‍🔥

Honestly, I went into this series a little skeptical. I was completely sucked into romantasy this time a year ago & wasn't sure how much I would enjoy MM fantasy.

✨ THIS series, A Twisted Fate, is everything I didn't know I needed! The world Lee McCormick has created is insanely fantastic! I am HOOKED and I'm so excited for more!
I cannot recommend Sephtis & Cole's story enough! It's heartbreakingly beautiful with a guaranteed HEA!

🎧 I was lucky to snag an ALC Deaths Kiss, which immediately followed my listen of Love's Ace. Both of these books are so amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire concept. The audiobooks are absolutely chef's kiss! 🤌🏼💋

Liam DiCosimo & Michael Gallagher have brought these to life in such a delicious way.

If you are new to the series, I highly recommend Love's Ace first. I promise that by the end, you will be ready to dive rght into Death's Kiss...and by the end of this one, you will be like the rest of us bouncing on our toes waiting for the next book!

Easily a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for me!

Heroes: Sephtis and Cole

I have been waiting months to read this and it absolutely did not disappoint. It was even better than I anticipated.

Sephtis is a reaper, locked into a life of unfeeling and carrying souls to their next phase after death. One man stops him though. Makes him wonder and want to wait and feel. There is nothing he can do to stop that man from dying but he wants to give him as much time as possible. He thinks they might be soulmates but is proven wrong when Wren (the Cupid) cannot pull the arrow for them. As soon as the man dies his twin steps into the room, Cole. That’s when Sephtis realizes that Cole is his soulmate and it’s also the moment that Cole sees Sephtis and hates him for taking his brother.

This is a slow burn filled with a lot of pain and emotion. Cole is struggling with his grief and some guilt over not being there in his brother’s last moments. Check the triggers because his mental health journey is heavy.
Sephtis had Wren shoot him with an arrow in the hospital so he could feel before he met Cole. He’s struggling with his job now because the effects never wore off and he’s stalking Cole. He knows Cole doesn’t want anything to with him but he can’t stay away.
Some things happen that tie them to each other forcing them to stay close to each other physically. And the more time they spend together the more Cole’s hatred chips away and he starts to heal.

This is a beautiful story of healing and love. My heart was hurting for Sephtis right from the start. He deserved the entire world. And my heart broke for Cole.
This series is one I’ll reread regularly. And I cannot wait for the next one. I’ve been anxious for that story since book one.

Definitely a slow burn and for spice I’d say 2/5. But for me the plot and slow burn made it all worth it. My poor heart broke for Cole to see his twin like that but when they met up again towards the end it made me cry. This book brought out more of my feelings than I thought it would. The sacrifices that were made from both sides made it so touching that it showed me some real love right there. Such an amazing book.

Since the first time i found out about this book, i just knew it was the one for me but once i start listening the audiobook? Once i heard Sephtis' voice?! I WAS HOOKED and OBSESSED!
I have no idea how Cole could have resisted the man for so long 🥵

Death’s Kiss

A twisted soulmates story! I love how unexpected and unique the story was. The twists on fate and all the various creatures and characters…so good!

Tropes to enjoy here; love/hate, soulmates, life death, grief, fast-paced, I’d do anything for you, morally grey characters, hurt/comfort, and steamy romance.

💭 My Thoughts:
This book had my attention from page one. Since discovering Lee’s books, it’s giving Pokémon vibes gotta read them all. The characters, their growth, their struggles, and that banter? Absolutely amazing. This slow burn had me hooked the entire time, and when the spice finally hit… HOTTT 🥵🔥. Watching both characters grow and was truly phenomenal.

This second story in this series was just as phenomenal as the first one 💛
A love between a reaper and a human, obviously can make stuff complicated but Lee always manages to hook me in and writes the story the way they want to. There’s something unique about the way they tell a story, and I’m here for it!
Lots of emotional and beautiful moments, who makes me shed tears while reading? Lee does! I don’t think it matters what they write, I always cry a little 💛🥹
Loved the pacing, the plot and the characters.

You know what, I was not prepared for the chokehold that Sephtis and Cole and honestly this whole dang book would have on me.

I was sucked right in and yeah ok I was crying almost immediately and thought wow what an emotional start to the book and the new year. I'm gonna crush it moving forward. I in fact did crush it, too fast to be honest. I wanted this to go on longer and longer.

Sephtis was such a profound character. He was a Reaper and had one job, he was the best of the best and that was kinda sad in a way. Even sadder was the way he got his humanity and feelings. All to feel and be there for Caiden, someone that's time was up but wasn't quite ready to go yet for a very specific reason.

Cue the waterworks even more finding out the reason why was for Sephtis to meet his soulmate, Cole, Caiden's twin. And boy the tension was hot and tight from the get go. Cole was angry for so many reasons, the biggest one is thinking that Sephtis took his brother away from him.

Grief and pain was so strong throughout this whole book. My heart broke for Cole and for what he went through. To lose his brother and to then be thrust in to the chaotic mess of his soulmate being a Reaper. The tension, the anger, the hate, the slow burn, the feelings developing, it was all sooooo good.

I couldn't get enough of this book and loved every second of it. The way everything played out and the ending was absolutely perfect for these two. OK, you know what, I have even more questions after seeing the interaction between Gethin, Death and Aiden, please please please let the next book be Gethin and these two other beings and all their tension filled glory.

This is a Dark Romance but it's not *super* dark...there are some heavy topics revolving around death and grief so just check the TWs before heading in still 🖤🖤 This is also Book 2 in the A Twisted Fate series they are written as standalones so you don't need to read them in order but book 1 does give you some good background information so I would recommend it.

🌶🌶.5

Sephtis is a reaper who collect souls/vitality for Death. That is what he was made for he has no feelings, he can't die, he just goes and gets his collections and delivers them. That is until he goes to collect Caiden's soul. Caiden is different from all the others and Against everything he has ever known Sephtis wants to feel Caiden. So bending the rules Sephtis reaches out to our friendly neighborhood Cupid (IYKYK 😉) Who gives him the ability to feel. Going back to Caiden now Sephtis learns that Caiden was waiting for him because he has a twin brother Cole who he can't leave alone in this world. Just as Sephtis takes Caiden's soul In strides Cole and Sephtis knows right away that he will never be able to leave Cole alone....the problem is Cole blames Sephtis for Caiden's death now.
This is a twisty turney story with Fate and soul mates and deals and whew! I was on the edge of my seat! Sephtis is just this grim reaper Cinnamon roll and my heart just breaks for him. When Sephtis and Cole finally break through their walls I was cheering but of course that's not the only hurdle they have to get over. So the HEA here is definitely a hard earned one and you gotta stick with it!
I have so many questions about Gethin and Aiden and now Death! I can't wait to see where this series goes!

Death’s Kiss absolutely owned me. Soft, angsty, quietly intense, and somehow still a total comfort read 🖤✨.

This is the kind of paranormal romance that creeps up on you and then suddenly you’re emotionally attached and refusing to let go.

Grim Reaper × Human? Immediate yes.

One-sided hate slowly melting into devotion? Even better.

The slow burn is delicious, built on longing, restraint, and those tiny moments that make your chest ache in the best way 💀💞.

Sephtis learning how to feel while desperately trying not to? Pain

Cole bringing warmth, softness, and humanity into Death’s world? RUDE (to my heart).

And when the tension finally snaps? Yeah… I felt that 🔥

“What are you?”
“Yours,” he said simply, almost helplessly, like it was the only answer he could give.”

EXCUSE ME??? Straight to the emotional damage folder 😭🖤

I was completely hooked from start to finish and didn’t want it to end. Watching the emotional build, the quiet intensity, and that perfectly timed ending unfold felt exactly right for them.

And now I’m spiraling because that interaction between Gethin, Death, and Aiden??? 👀 I need answers immediately.

Please tell me the next book is Gethin’s, because the tension between a human and Death is already criminally good.

Tropes I devoured:

❤️“I couldn’t leave him alone because the only thing I wanted was to make sure he was safe, even if that meant he hated me.”❤️

This series is amazing. The world that’s been created is something I’ve never read before. It’s so interesting seeing how Death and Fate work. That makeout 🥵HOT! I cried multiple times. I also giggled so much 🤣 Cole and Sephtis were a joy to read. Cole had so much grief from his brothers death and just taking out all that bottled emotions out on Sephtis was at times really sad. I mean all Sephtis wanted to do was care for him and be there for him. The grief aspect was written really well. I love how it showed death could be peaceful and not always tragic. The spice was what I expected from Lee 🔥🔥 I mean hands free. Yes please. The endings keep getting me I think one thing but I’m never right 🤣 and I love that. The only thing I would have liked more of was more connection between the mmcs. In someways it felt surface level but other ways not. I can’t explain it even though I still loved it. I can’t wait for the 3rd book now. I squealed when I saw who it was. I NEED MORE GETHIN!!

“You can hate me. I’ll build a home in the flames of it and find joy in the warmth. I’d let you burn me alive if it meant you’d run your fingers through my ashes to scatter me to the winds, if it meant you’d breathe me in so I was a part of you. You can say it would have been a long time, Cole… but I’m willing to wait forever. An eternity.”

I'm not super familiar with Lee's reading, prior to reading this story, (Death's Kiss), I've only read one other book by them. And I have to say I'm looking forward to hopefully reading more by them!

I personally enjoy dark romance, sometimes it can be a bit hot or miss but I think Lee nailed it with Sephtis and Cole. These two were like oil and water, oh my goodness. Cole absolutely hated Sephtis for a good portion of this book, meanwhile Sephtis is just doing everything he can to try to keep his soulmate safe.

At first I thought there was no way these two were going to make it as a couple, or survive the dogs that were always on their tails. But! They did survive, and they did make their relationship work even if Cole did start out hating Sephtis.

~~~~SLIGHT SPOILER AHEAD~~~~~
I have to say I loved the big moment the book was leading up to where Death quite literally came for both of these men. (You'll know that I mean once you read the book .)) The scene that transpired that event was well written and all the loopholes that were discussed made the plot even more interesting.
And Caiden's character was brilliant! I love how his soul was incorporated throughout the story, he may have not had had a very big role, but the part he played was truly special.
How is a relationship between a Grim Reaper and a human with walls the size of Mount Everest sooo good? Well I'm glad you asked... You'll have to read it to find out 😜.
Honestly though it was so good to revisit this world again! I'm obsessed and can't wait to learn more about Gethin, and hopefully even D3ath & Fate 👀.
If you love your romance twisted, but yet super sweet, with some crazy paranormal mysteries then I highly suggest this book! The tension between Sephtis & Cole is out of this world, and even as Cole fights it with everything he has, hating Sephtis along the way, he can't help but to orbit him as if he's the sun 🥹.
Meanwhile, Sephtis is such a cinnamon roll... albeit a m*rdery one 🤣 but that's only because he'll do anything for Cole 😈. He's completely content just to be in Cole's presence, hate or not 🫶. The world building is complex, it'll leave you wanting to know all its secrets and riddles and it was so nice to visit past characters like Wren & Theo 😘.
Lee McCormick is a master in mixing soft & hard, sweet and dark, as well as blending plot with romance 😈. They are honestly superb at making you want to come back for more, not only for a comfort read but for all their future books as well 🥰, I cannot wait to see what else they have in store for us & am eternally grateful I have the opportunity to read ARCs for them 🫶💜.
Definitely don't sleep on this author OR this book because it's phenomenal 🥵.
I had the absolute honor of being able to alpha read this amazing book and my god. I swear, Lee is just out there to HURT me.
This book is absolutely 100% hurt/comfort and I was here for it.
I also really appreciate the enemies to lovers (one sided in this case) aspect but HATE when it goes on for so long that we only get the tiniest blips of them together. Lee NEVER does this and I am forever grateful to them for it! We get to see them finally give in to the tension, admit the feelings and live their life even after the pain is over and done with. We get to see them LIVE.
I ALSO got the chance to listen to the audio early on and MY GOD. Okay, so Michael Gallagher is one of my absolute top tier narrators. The man could read me a shampoo bottle ingredient list and I'd forever give him all the stars. HERE?! Jesus. He ripped my heart out with his "just need to wait a little longer" and kept fucking DOING it. His voice cracks are the worst because I feel it in my soul and cry every fucking time. SO YES. THIS MAN GETS AN A++++
"I can't leave the most important parts of me shattered. But I think maybe you're here to pick them up. To hold them... That's why we dreamed up this field, right? The flowers weren't here before you came."
"You're all the best parts of me I got to leave behind."
Like DAMN SIR. I'm just out here trying to make a finance spreadsheet for the state and you've got me sobbing at my cubicle.
Fucking rude.
Highly recommend.
Death’s Kiss - Lee McCormick
5/5✨🌟
* SPOILERS *
I have been waiting for this book since I read the first installment of the series. This is such an emotional story about a reaper and a human and I was here for every moment. This book is full of so much emotion that you’re not sure if you’re happy, shocked, sad or just everything in between. I will say to read the trigger warnings because it can be a bit emotionally draining.
The way that Cole and Sephtis is so emotional because I felt so bad for Cole but man, what Sephtis had to even do. It was a reason he felt so drawn to Cole’s brother. Poor Cole missed his twin, Caiden, and the anger he felt towards Sephtis was so real and raw because it was so heartbreaking. All Cole can see and feel is utter anger, disappointment and seething determination.
I really loved all the characters we got to see in previous books like Theo and Wren. I really cannot wait for the next book from what we got to see towards the end of the book who the next couple might be. It makes me eager tad to what could possibly happen.
What I really loved the ending of the book because it made me tear up. Of course Lee knows how to make us an emotional mess.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Once again Lee McCormick ripped my heart out and put it back together.
From the very first chapter, I was completely engrossed in this story. Sephtis breaking the rules in order to give Caiden a little more time was just so sweet. He knew what it meant to give in to Ciaden’s wishes but he still went through with it.
However, he wasn’t prepared for how much Cole’s hate towards him would affect him. Knowing they were soul mates and not being able to get near Cole would have killed him if he wasn’t already dead🥺
Cole was so convinced Sephtis had killed his brother, that he harbored so much hatred for him for a long time. He couldn’t understand why his brother was gone while he was still here.
Despite Cole’s hate for him, Sephtis was willing to do anything as long Cole was safe. His devotion to him had no bounds.
I was a mess listening to this book. Cole’s pain and guilt over his brother really hit me hard. He was so consumed with his grief that he couldn’t see that Sephtis was his happiness. A gift he dreamed up but refused to accept because of his guilt.
It’s hard to decide which book I loved most because Love’s Ace was absolutely fantastic but this one is right there with it.
Can’t wait for the next one. This whole series just keeps getting better and better.
Death’s Kiss
Death’s Kiss by Lee McCormick
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️
I was not prepared the the onset of teaears and emotion that came with reading Sephtis and Cole's story.
Septhis, the reaper of death, can not feel. However, one fateful encounter with a dying man, Caiden, changes him so profoundly that he risks upsetting the delecate balance just to experience something he may never get an opportunity to do again. In walks Cole, and Septhis' eternal life now has meaning.
Cole, so wrapped up in his guilt and greif over losing his brother, Caiden that he forgets how to live and just wants to not feel. His emotions are so powerful and greif so strong, that as a reader, I could feel his pain. But through it all, Sephtis was there. His devotion to staying with Cole no matter the conequences, kept me reading.
In the end, when Cole finally let the guilt he felt over his brother death and just feel so he could heal, cue the water works. PHEW. That sence was powerful and I don't think I will recover for a long time.
I love all the side characters, Gethin & Aiden, even Death himself. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. I need Gethin's story. I'm ready!
Lee McCormick has done it again! Death’s Kiss is book 2 of the Twisted Fate series, and it is an awesome book. It can be read as a standalone, but it does have references to characters and events that happened in book one. Death’s Kiss is a paranormal romance with a love/hate vibe (though the hate is one-sided.) It’s a bit dark, so read the TW. It’s got soulmates, a bit of forced proximity, plenty of angst, and the perfect slow burn.
Sephtis is a reaper, created from Death himself. He has never been able to feel, but when he meets Caiden, there is something telling him he has to try. He is distraught that he can’t save Caiden, but Fate has plans for him still.
Cole is Caiden’s brother. His grief over is brother is overwhelming, and he blames Sephtis for Caiden’s death. Despite his hatred, he finds himself tethered to Sephtis, and the line between love and hate has never looked so thin.
This book grabs you from page one. The story is compelling and emotional and heartbreaking and healing. These characters go through plethora of emotions, from hate to longing, a tumultuous series of events leading their way. The story flowed smoothly, holding my attention from start to finish. The world that Lee has built is fantastic and detailed in a way that makes you feel a part of it. I can’t wait for the next book!
Death’s Kiss was one of my most anticipated reads after how much I loved Love’s Ace, and it absolutely lived up to my expectations. I was emotional from the very first chapter (yes, I cried early), and the feelings never let up.
Sephtis and Cole were beautifully written. Cole’s grief after losing his brother felt raw and real, and his resistance to Sephtis was heartbreaking but completely understandable. Sephtis, though — patient, steady, and unwavering — never gave up on what they were meant to be. Watching Cole slowly accept love, fate, and the light at the end of his grief was incredibly moving.
This series is something truly special. The way Lee weaves together fate, love, and death feels unique and balanced, and the hurt/comfort and soulmate elements hit hard. I also loved seeing Wren and Theo again.
This is a sweet, sad, hopeful story about loss, acceptance, and finding meaning beyond the pain. If you want an emotional MM love story between a Reaper and his human soulmate that will make you feel everything, this one is a must-read.
I loved it and I can’t wait for the next book.
Death’s Kiss is a great follow up to Love’s Ace, if you haven’t read Love’s Ace, I recommend you do that first. Sephtis is a reaper, he is bound by the rules of Death, he can’t feel and he can’t love. But then he comes to reap a soul and wants to finally feel, so he breaks the rules and finally he can feel right before he has to reap this soul…and then he finds out why he’s drawn to that particular soul, his twin brother, Cole. Cole is grieving the loss of his twin and hates the man he saw with him as Caiden died. Cole doesn’t want anything to do with the man but he won’t leave him alone and when he has a brush with death, he learns about a whole other world. This story is full of intense emotions, grief and love. It’s a wild ride and an amazing world, the author has created such a unique world. Who doesn’t want to read about a reaper and a human? It is well written. The narrator’s do an amazing job on the audio book. I highly recommend listening. Michael Gallagher and Liam DiCosimo bring Sephtis and Cole to life and make me fall head over heels with this world. This story didn’t go how I thought it would at all. Absolutely love this series.
