A Twist in the Tail

Rate this book
With his integrity questioned, and her heart on the line, can two officers prove love and duty can co-exist?

After a devastating experience, former ballroom dancer turned K9 officer, Senior Constable Ashlee (Ash) Rogers traded glamour and promenades for guns and patrols. With her canine, Goose, at her side, she maintains a tough exterior, but a fellow officer at her new posting tempts her suppressed femininity.

Working with a new officer is the last thing First Constable Dermott McClane, recovering from a brutal injury and battling a growing dependency on painkillers, wants. She’s more challenging than his determination to return to full duties.

While working together to solve a case involving a suspected overdose and missing drugs, sparks fly. Ash believes the theft is an inside job. Her instincts tell her to keep investigating, even if it leads to Dermott, the man who has her heart dancing and her desire soaring.

Can Ash discover McClane’s secret and solve the case? Or is he about to tango with her heart?

A Twist in the Tail, the third book in the Trinket Bay K9 Mystery Series, is a contemporary romantic suspense novel set in the fictional town of Trinket Bay in South Western Australia. While each book is a standalone, they’re best read in series order.

What a great read. The tension is there from the start, both in the mystery of the storyline and between our two strong minded cops. And the beautiful Goose, alias, Belgian Shepherd is so devoted, clever and cute, he almost steals the show. Added to it the expert descriptions of the setting for Trinket Bay and DD Line has produced another winner.

Ash and her canine partner Goose are determined to solve the latest crime in Trinket Bay, but a case of mistaken identity gets her off on the wrong foot with fellow police officer Dermott. As they work the case, they grow closer to each other even when they shouldn't. A fabulous third installment in a series of stories with twists and turns, romance, and suspense.

A great addition to the Trinket Bay series

A cop with a secret, a constable with a past, a dog with attitude and a misidentification has this novel off to a cracking start. With twists and turns this romantic suspense had me guessing, and watching the hero and heroine fall for each other, even though they were determined not to. A great addition to the Trinket Bay series.

Story was good. Suspense and danger for these two characters who were a little broken. Together they made a great team. Will the secrets he is hiding be the down fall to everything they have worked for? I had no issues with starting the series from the third book.
