This novella delivers everything I love in a romance: strong, compelling leads with absolutely explosive chemistry. It leans beautifully into both the enemies to lovers and forced proximity tropes—two of my all-time favorites, especially when done this well. (If you love forced proximity too, I highly recommend Evergreen by Ruby Scott—you’re welcome 😉)
Hot Response is the perfect pick if you’re craving a short, satisfying slow burn that’s packed with tension and heat. Ruby Scott excels at building chemistry that simmers right off the page, and when the characters finally give in, the intimate scenes are honest, bold, and utterly delicious.
Bring on book two—I’m more than ready to dive back into this series!
