Colbie’s characters are sexy, hot, adorable - and often filthy - alphas and omegas. They include feudal lords with dark secrets, outrageous aristocrats with scandals buried deep in their past and poverty-stricken gentleman who have gambled away their inheritance.
Lurking in the background are notorious kings, princesses, and courtiers whose opinions change with each whisper in their ear.
And as for Colbie herself? She dictates her steamy stories with a glass of champagne in one hand. Because why not?
Review for (The Wolves of La Luna Noir-4) Tossed into the Mob by Colbie Dunbar
Wow, this was the first book I have read by this author. Colbie had me at Mafia: An Omega's Alpha Paranormal Story. Let's say all those tropes are my top ones. I loved the story between Brock & Treyton. I was rooting for the two of them and the family members from the start. In any Mafia story, you have intrigue, suspense, along so many other things. Treyton was happy not being a part of his mafia family. All he wanted was to help bring babies into their world. I fell in love with that, and then Omega Brock walked in. I loved it. I look forward to reading more of this author's books.
Tossed into the Mob is the fourth book in The Wolves of La Luna Noir series. In my opinion this series is best read in order. This is the story of Treyton an alpha werewolf and Brock a human omega. This was another book I couldn't put down from the beginning to the end in this series. I loved Treyton and Brock because they are both so sweet and you just want to hug them both. I love the little twists and surprises that happen in the story. With this series you never know what is going to happen but I do like to try and guess. I can't wait for the next book in the series. I would definitely recommend this book and series as 5 star reads. received a free review copy
Secrets, survival, and a mate worth risking everything for.
Brock's running for his life with nothing but a name and a desperate plan. When he holds a stranger at gunpoint outside a hospital, he doesn't expect kindness. He definitely doesn't expect Treyton to be a shifter, or to feel something in his presence that hits way too deep.
Treyton stays far from his family's violent mafia business, focused on delivering babies and keeping his world quiet. But the moment he scents Brock, everything shifts. Fated mates aren't supposed to be human, but instincts don’t lie. And Treyton doesn’t walk away when it matters most.
Their bond grows in hiding, tested by buried secrets and rising tension. Brock's past unravels fast, forcing him to face truths he’s not ready for. As danger circles closer, their connection turns fierce, intimate, and unbreakable.
They fight to build something lasting in a world that doesn’t easily forgive. From unexpected partners to new parents, from fugitives to family, they carve out a place of their own in a pack that once felt unreachable.
Brock transforms from a desperate outsider into a grounded omega with purpose, claiming both his identity and his place in the pack. Treyton grows from a reserved healer into a steady, protective partner, ready to lead with heart. Their relationship deepens from guarded and fragile to steady, intimate, and real—built on trust, shared strength, and the courage to stay.
A steamy, fated mates, omegaverse, alpha-omega, MM wolf shifter mafia romance with mpreg, hurt comfort, found family, and secret identity, exploring identity, trust, love, healing, and belonging. It’s about choosing love even when it’s risky, building family even when it’s messy, and finding strength in vulnerability. At its heart, it’s about a sexy alpha who avoids the family business, the human omega who crashes into his life, and the bond neither saw coming.
The Elevator Pitch: A desperate omega with a hidden past crashes into the life of a protective alpha midwife bound to a mafia shifter family. What starts with a gun to the chest spirals into a steamy fated mates connection tangled in secrets, tension, and instinct. With mpreg, found family, and emotional intensity, this romance is fierce, tender, and impossible to outrun.
This is an enjoyable series as we meet the Alphas and their spouses from La Luna Noir, a mafia wolf shifter pack with underworld dealings, some good, some bad. Treyton is part of the pack but not involved with any of the mafia stuff. He is a midwife and enjoys working with shifter and human couples and delivering babies.
Brock is a human omega, the son of a human and a wolf shifter from La Luna Noir. When his Dad is killed and the killer is now after him, Brock kidnaps Treyton looking for help and protection from the shifter pack. It doesn’t hurt Treyton that he recognizes Brock as his fated mate, but as a human, Brock doesn’t feel the pull, just an attraction to the handsome alpha, which soon morphs into more. The pack closes in around Brock for protection, and as he is folded into this found family, he learns unexpected things about both of his fathers. As Brock is pulled deeper into the workings of the pack, revenge has a way of seeking them out, all as he carries the next generation in his belly. With a lot of action and growing family dynamics, along with some unexpected twists at the end, Colbie keeps the reader engaged all the way through the book, with a surprise (at least to me) at the end, one which actually makes perfect sense when thinking over the book.
The series has interesting, relatable and engaging main characters and a large (and growing number) of supporting characters as each alpha finds their fated omega and each family grows. Grandpa is a special character, I loved his enthusiasm for the arrival of his first great-grandchild, and his preparation of enough creative food for the coming baby to last the first year is amusing and endearing to watch. A special series dealing with the importance of family, wholehearted acceptance of new members into this loving family, trust and protection for one and all. Each book is an enjoyable read in its own right, and a great series as it expands with the focus on each alpha finding his own fated mate. Looking forward to Maddox’s story next.

This is book four in the author’s Wolves of La Luna Noir series and features Treyton Durand, a cousin to Flint, the Alpha of the La Luna Noir pack and a midwife. Unlike the rest of his family, Treyton had spent his life avoiding the ‘family business’ so you can imagine his aggravation at being the victim of a kidnapping… an alpha wolf shifter being kidnapped by a HUMAN! And yes, ok, the human DID have a weapon but his wolf could’ve disarmed the injured omega in seconds except for one teeny, tiny, little, detail… the scent suddenly invading his senses screamed MATE! (I got tickled that he wound up being an accomplice to his own kidnapping when the omega collapsed; he wasn’t letting his mate get away that easily!)
Brock, the human MC, was on the run from the man who had unalived his dad and was trying to do the same to Brock himself. Weak and bleeding profusely, his plan was to kidnap Treyton and force him to take him to see the head of the La Luna Noir Family so he could seek protection but he severely overestimated his strength and passed out, leaving him vulnerable to whatever Treyton might try. He needn’t have worried though, Treyton had been wanting a mate for so long that there was no way he was gonna let Brock go now.
This book had tons of interesting elements; fated mates, zombies, a pirate or two, secrets, lies, kidnapping, human trafficking and a doomed, hopeless, fated love from which the letters that were never mailed brought tears to my eyes. It wasn’t all doom and gloom though, there was also lots of humor and tenderness which kept me glued to my Kindle and had me reading the whole thing in one sitting.
This is an excellent read for anyone who enjoys shifter, fated mates romance with a little drama but, surprisingly, no angst. If that’s you, check it out today. 4.25 stars.

I enjoyed the main characters, especially their bantering and chemistry. I laughed out loud multiple times while reading, as it was lighthearted for a mafia romance. I also enjoyed the action mixed in with the romance. However, I had a hard time getting fully into the story due to the disjointed, choppy flow. Events would happen, and then we would jump to a different event weeks or months down the line with no transition. Because of that, this came across more as vignettes of their life together versus a straightforward story. For example, something that I thought would be a storyline played up throughout the book ended up being solved early on and ended up feeling underwhelming as a result.
Tthe other reason I had trouble getting into the story was because I went in without reading the first three books in the series. This series focuses on different couples throughout the books, and was advertised as could be read as a standalone. However, there were many throwbacks to the previous books and content that was missing because it was assumed the reader would have picked this up in earlier books. Because of this, I never fully understood the majority of the characters.
For example, I still don’t fully understand what was Emilio’s motivation (jealousy? imagine this was in book 1 based on context clues). The side of him I learned about in this story didn’t match with the hints of what was gone into more in-depth in an earlier book.
Therefore, I would not recommend reading this as a standalone unless you want to feel confused and like you’re missing part of the story. I do recommend giving this series a read if you’re looking for a more lighthearted mafia romance with Mpreg and a close family.

Tossed into the Mob is book four in Colbie Dunbar's the Wolves of Luna Noir series. This is not a standalone, as there's references to the other MC pairings from the other books. And the prior books' characters appear as secondaries in this story. Treyton, a shifter Alpha, was a midwife specializing in omega/human births. Brock, a human omega, was at university readying himself for his Masters. A gunman attacks Brock and his father, Niles, at their home, killing Niles. That sets off a chain of events which has the omega kidnapping the alpha and going on the run. The reverse kidnapping plot arc was amusing(this is where prior reading helps you 'get the joke'). And, as always, Colbie Dunbar gives us an original childbirth scene. I wasn't fond of the way the mafia aspects were introduced into the story. Brock starts out timidly nervous over meeting La Luna Noir pack alpha, Flint. And then in the next chapter, he's flippant and disrespectable. The plot arc about a kidnapped child was unnecessary. Dunbar dropped enough hints throughout the story that the ending wasn't a surprise, although it was satisfactory. I like how the author makes the Durand alpha shifters really have to work to woo their omegas. In this case it led to friend zoning (much to Treyton's wolf's disgust) and a bit of pining. The comfort in skin on skin touch, mostly handholding, was quite sweet. A quick read, a sweeter, more thoughtful book than the first three. I'm hoping that Madden finds his HEA next.

This is book four in The Wolves of La Luna Noir series. I would recommend that you read this series in order. Each book contains a different couple but all of the secondary character grow throughout the series. This is the story of Brock and Treyton. Brock is a human omega who has just watched his father be killed. Escaping with a gun and a letter, he seeks out Treyton as someone is trying to kill him. Treyton is an alpha wolf shifter who works as a mid-wife delivering omega shifter babies. He is also the youngest of a family that is all about the shifter mafia. The two meet when Brock tries to ineffectively kidnap Treyton. Since he has been shot and is still bleeding when he does so, Treyton tries to patch him up. It is then that Treyton realizes that Brock is his fated mate. Too bad that humans can't recognize their mate instantly like shifters do. Now Treyton has to keep Brock alive from whomever is trying to kill him and protect him from his La Luna Noir pack at the same time. Who says love is easy. This is their story. The book is well written and easy to read. I enjoyed the banter between both Treyton and Brock. And as with all the books by this author, there is a HEA for the two of them. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

If you're craving a romance that grabs you by the heart and doesn’t let go, this MM wolf shifter mafia tale delivers a pulse-pounding blend of danger, desire, and deep emotional resonance. From the moment Brock holds Treyton at gunpoint outside a hospital, the story ignites with tension—and never lets up. Brock’s world is unraveling, and his collision with Treyton—a reserved alpha midwife with ties to a violent shifter mafia—sets off a chain reaction of instinct, secrets, and soul-deep connection. The pacing is tight, with each chapter peeling back layers of Brock’s hidden past and Treyton’s quiet strength. Their bond, forged in hiding, evolves from fragile to fierce, and the emotional stakes rise with every twist. Their chemistry is electric, their intimacy tender and steamy, and their growth as partners and eventual parents is both heartwarming and hard-won. This isn’t just a steamy shifter romance—it’s a story about belonging, healing, and the kind of love that transforms. If you’re into omegaverse dynamics, mafia intrigue, and emotionally rich storytelling with a dash of mpreg, this book is a must-read. It’s tender, intense, and impossible to outrun—just like the bond between Brock and Treyton.
"I was tethered to his man in a way I didn’t understand, but I was willing to go along for the ride, wherever it might lead."
This is book 4 in the series, The Wolves of La Luna Noir by Colbie Dunbar. I love this series! When I saw this on Booksprout I knew I had to grab it to read and review especially since I loved the first three books.
I know I've said this before and I'm probably sounding like a broken record at this point but this is not your normal Mafia style romance. Can I still use "broken record" in a sentence, will the younger readers understand my reference?! This is a pack of wolves who are into some questionable business dealings along with protecting others from the bad guys. This story, like the others in the series, also contains a surprise twist.
I guess Maddox's story is up next, I wonder if his story will be the last in the series???
Loss of a father, on the run from a killer, hurt/comfort, fated mates, a member of the "family" but not in the family business, kidnappings galore, mpreg
You might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Brock a human is desperate out of all options unfortunately kidnapping seems to be the last resort and ambushing Treyton an omega who happens to be his fated mate just as he gets off work, but Brock will do what needs to be done to protect his mate. Now here is where we buckle up because the ride from here on out is something crazy because poor Brock was clueless that there were wolves involved being human throw in his strong-will and well you got a hot mess on your hands but running from the one who killed father and shot him but what happens when secrets come out, when one realizes that he really is a wolf shifter, and is there happiness considering how they met?
Treyton is technically part of the mob, even though he's not an active participant. He works as a midwife at the hospital. At the end of his shift, in the parking garage, he runs into a wounded Omega who fumbles through kidnapping him. Brock has had the shock of his life when his father pushes him into a closet, down into a hole, to escape from an unknown assailant. Inside a locked box that his father had hidden are instructions for him to find Treyton Durand, who would be able to put him in touch with his Alpha father—the Alpha father that he had grown up thinking was deceased. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride; I really enjoyed it. I don't want to give away the secret in the plot, but I will say I had my suspicions about Brock based on things that were said early on, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I was right. That was a serious twist compared to the previous books, and I loved it.

After work one night Treyton left the hospital and Brock bleeding from a gunshot wound kidnapped him, well Treyton went along to patch him up. Brock’s dad shoved him into a safe room and he found a gun and a letter telling him if he was in trouble to go to Treyton and that his father worked for Treyton’s cousins. Brock needed their protection from the guy that killed his dad, Treyton took Brock to the family dinner. Them seeing Brock was like looking at his father who had been killed by the alpha Flint for doing what had been forbidden to him. His father was made to abandon him and his dad who was his father’s mate. Brock finally saw a picture of his father they escaped the guards and went to the storage unit to find Brock something of his father’s. The man followed them and the two fought him and he was done. Flint also told him his dad was not dead. They went to see him and Brock after they had been there awhile he admitted his feelings.

ARC review. The fourth book in The Wolves of La Luna Noir series is a very good read with lots of content and surprises up until the end. It contains danger, secrets, found family and a lot of actions. I was hanging on every word and couldn't put it down so I read it all in one go. Brock is desperate and unfortunately a kidnapping is necessary if he is to get help. Treyton just got out of work when he is ambushed by an omega, his fated mate. He will do anything to protect his mate, so of cours he plays along. This is the start of a wild ride where both have to trust each other. Since Brock is human, they have a few struggles to get through, especially since he got no clue that there are wolves involved. I love Brock and Treyton, they are the sweetest. Brock is suck strong-willed omega and Treyton has his hands full. I strongly recommend this book. When the Durand family is involved you never know what to expect, but you definitely want to ride along.
This was a pretty dramatic story, it was full of surprises and lots of action. Treyton is an alpha midwife/wolf shifter is in the wolf shifter mafia La Luna Noir but had nothing to do with them as a vocation. One night after his shift, he is held up at gunpoint by a human Omega, who was injured. What started off as a threat to his life, turned into his finding his fated mate. Brock was a human who had witnessed his father being shot and was running for his life from the murderer who came back and shot him. Neither of these two characters realise the impact that they would have on each other and how their lives would change forever through this chance meeting. Secrets were revealed, and Brock discovering that he is a wolf shifter as well. I enjoyed this story and how they ended up with their happily ever after.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
I really enjoyed reading Tossed into the Mob by Colbie Dunbar. It’s part of the wolves of La Luna Noir. It’s best to start at book one just to meet each couple and get the backstory, although you don’t have to, there is an explanation on who is who. Treyton is a Durand, part of the La Luna Noir, the mob. But he’s been distanced from it and is a midwife, delivering babies and offering care to shifter omegas. Brock is a human. Trying to kidnap Treyton while shot, he grows faint and Treyton takes care of him. Being a wolf shifter, Treyton knows that Brock is his fated mate and will protect him with his life.
Action, family, lots of family, food and love, plus heat are in this book and I loved each page! Enjoy.

This was just a tad bit different than the other three stories in this series and I liked it. Treyton is part of the family but not the business. He gets himself kidnapped by his mate Brock who eventually gets pulled in the business. I will say, it took me a bit to realize who was the alpha and who was the omega in this romance because either could have played that role. Both were right for each other and their bond/chemistry was intense. I love the entire family dynamic...everything about the Durands are fun and entertaining...other than the side mafia business they are just one big happy family. This was a nice romance and I would love to read more in the future.

This story was fast-paced and exciting from the start. I liked how Treyton and his wolf analyzed the human omega kidnapping them at gunpoint- calm, observational, analyzing. Treyton knew he and his wolf could overpower Brock in the condition he was in, but it was clear that he actually cared about the man's well-being. Not only his job as a midwife, he generally cared for people. And then moments later recognized Brock as his mate.
I liked that Brock was unaware of shifters. That dynamic always adds an extra layer of complexity to a relationship that I always enjoy. I really felt for Brock and the way his life completely flipped just days before, and now he was on the run for his life and desperate. The story had suspense, danger, and action and I was completely hooked. 5 stars
Treyton and Brock story was interesting with a couple of unexpected developments that changed everything. It had danger and adrenaline, as well as humour and teasing. Their first encounter was rather unconventional with a couple of twists and turns mixed with a well guarded secret and a misplaced revenge. It had mayhem and chaos coupled with shenanigans and adventure. The surprises that were revealed along the way were exquisite as well as the events from the important ceremonies and gatherings. I liked the story, and I’m looking forward to the next adventure.
This book captured me from the first pages and never let me go. I love the world of La Luna Noir, the wolf mafia. This segment doesn't quit. It is non- stop action. All my old friends are back. But this is about Treyton and Brock. There will be twists and turns, tales of betrayal, fated mates, and a love that is as fierce as it is inevitable. Assassin's... yeah. A labor and birth you didn't see coming. And of course HEA is assured. I loved this book. You need to get it Now! Come on, you know you want it!.

A lovely and fun shifter mpreg with more than a few good and interesting twists to the story. From the botched kidnapping of a midwife who is related to a mafia family but not part of it to him knowing the kidnapper is his fated mate, to a grandfather who adores cooking, to so much more, including the midwife delivering his own baby when things go faster than he'd expected.
Omega Brock has an assassin hunting him so he tries to kidnap midwife Treyton to get Treyton's mafia family to expose the assassin. Of course there are also a few more secrets to come out... and a lovely HEA in the end.

This is book 4 of The Wolves of La Luna Noir series Colbie Dunbar shows no sign of slowing down. The story starts strong and doesn't let up. The plot was well written and exciting and well paced. World building continues to excel and impress. The characters were so very appealing and likeable and steamy together. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend the series.

Treyton, an alpha wolf shifter, was just trying to head home after his shift at the hospital to get a bite to eat and some rest when he is accosted by Brock, a human, who decides to kidnap him. Brock was wounded and weak and Treyton knows he can stop him but he goes along to see if he can figure out how to help Brock. Why does he care? Brock is his mate. The story starts strong and intriguing and continues that way through to the end.

Great adventure! Brock, is amazingly brave. He kidnaps a known mafia wolf, Treyton looking for answers. Treyton, works as a midwife outside mafia endeavours. Brock, is looking for answers and hopes Trey can provide them. Fun adventure that stretches Brock and Trey and forces them to do a bit of soul searching. Great surprises, signs of bravery, heroics and unexpected decisions to be make. Trey, is a different kind of alpha but absolutely sweet. Nice addition to the series, well done! This is book four in The Wolves of La Luna Noir series and it is another great addition, I’m really loving this series it’s a great mafia series with a twist. This is Brock and Trenton’s story and it grabbed my attention from the beginning with a strong start and kept it right until the end. Looking forward to Maddox’s story next.
I adored how Brock as the omega was determined and so strong and independent. Treyton playing along with his kidnapping was humorous and cute. I loved these two together and there was plenty of action going on. Enjoyed that Brock was the center of it all. A standalone romance, but for characters and overarching world enjoyment I recommend reading in order as a series.
This story is a good addition to this series. The story is full of action, healing, and growth. I really liked both Brock and Treyton. I loved their hard won bond and happiness. They really took me through all the emotions and I was happy they were able to make it through everything together. I’m excited to see how the series continues in more stories.
La Luna Noir is a fantastic series - the characters are real & you will feel like you are standing right next to them!!!! They are a mafia family but in reality they ARE a family & the alphas are HOT & the babies & children are just lime your own!!! Love this series & it's hard to wait for the next book!!!! Thank you so much - Lori
Brock a human didn't want to kidnap Treyton but he didn't have a choice someone tried to kill him and he needs help from Treyton's family. Treyton's family was La Luna Noir a mafia family. Treyton is a wolf shifter and knows that Brock is his mate. He will do anything to protect him. When Brock meets Treyton's family, secrets are reveled. I really enjoyed this book.
This family kinda had a what to do when you find your mate playbook that makes me want to read the other books. Despite what they were, they were close and loved each other. I thought the book was well written, and I enjoyed each of the characters.
