Heather Osborne was born and raised in California. She has a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Victimology, as well as coursework in Early Childhood Education. In 2009, she moved to Scotland. Heather has been writing short stories for as long as she can remember. She also has written and directed several plays. This is a well-written novella about the slow corruption of a young woman who's dissatisfied with her normal life.
Though set in the modern day, or near to it, it has shades of Phantom of the Opera, not least of all with the heroine being the young and impressionable Christine. It has the same gothic atmosphere and his - and her - growing dark desires permeate the story.
Not for the faint-hearted, this is most definitely dark erotica, with a heroine whose greatest priority is her own pleasure, regardless of the cost to her body or those around her. Personally, I find Christine a character I particularly dislike, as her incredible selfishness makes it impossible for me to relate to her. However, she's perfectly suited to the story - a character I'd relate to more would never have yielded to her dark desires and this would have been a far different story to the haunting one Ms Osborne has presented.
The ending is...unexpected, and I'm delighted to hear there will be a sequel.
I literally read this in ten minutes. but it wasnt a wasted 10 mins.
I can't really say to much about the book as I would give most of it away,
Christine is a young student who doesn't feel she fits in to her daily life, she's strange and unwanted. A note in her window has her life turned upside down and not for the good. she is taken and her life now revolves around Sir and his wants and needs.
The writing is good and strong although short, its fast paced and quite exciting, I'm hoping the second book is longer. I am intrigued to see where the story goes. Need a quick fix this little read will actually have u wanting more .
If you are looking for a short edgy read that will keep you wondering whats next make sure to pick this one up. I was able to connect with Christine and felt the emotions she went through with being "different". This is a hot read with many BDSM moments. l We all have a fantasy that we want, but when a new lifestyle presents itself will Christine be ready? This story left me wondering what will happen next. I will definitely keep reading this series.
Christine is a teenager that lives her life to herself, free of adventure or excitement. Never living up to her mothers standards, and a father that usually sides with her over her mother until one night when he has finally had enough of Christine's strange recluse behavior. Christine takes up a proposition from an unknown "admirer" that offers her experiences she's never dealt with before.
This is a short read that explores erotica and a bit of thrill seeking behavior. Nice job Ms. Osborne.
Christine is a 17 year high school student and loner. Her parents are complete opposites, her mother trying to be the perfect housewife isn't very attentive and her father who understands her and loves her. Christine begins to receive letters on her eighteenth birthday, unsigned. Finally she replies to one of them, demands he show himself. Once he does Christine's innocent world is turned upside down. By a man she knows only as Sir, she goes from virgin to submissive overnight. Not understanding why he needs to do these things to her she allows them without argument. As they settle into this strange closed off lifestyle together, Christine begins to dig through Sirs home when he's gone, looking for information, finding his identity and old newspaper articles that give her a clearer look at who he is. After one particularly frightening and cruel punishment, Christine decides she can't do this anymore and pretending to faint, gets Sir to take her outside for air and she runs. When she awakens she's naked in the woods, Sir leaning against a tree across from her holding a gun. End of book. I'm not sure where this one is going, book one is interesting enough but there's so much missing I don't know if it's intentional and all will be revealed in future books or if there's just bits and pieces we need to see in order for all of this to make sense but we won't get from the author. In my opinion this read like a prequel not the first in a series, it have us background, the major event and bam it's over. The story mover way to quickly for me to have had so much missing keeping it from making sense. There wasn't enough to get me hooked and have me anxiously awaiting book two, it left me with saying what just happened? And not in a good way.
