He said he didn't have time to be tied down with a family. I said I needed to go back to Earth to be there for the family I already had.
But a whole lot has changed since then.
I thought I had finally found solid ground. I had a plan, a way forward, a way to exist with the loss that still claws at me from the inside. I told myself I was moving on, and I almost believed it.
But now he’s back in my life, and I feel the past pressing against the present, demanding to be rewritten.
And beneath it all, something is shifting. Whispers in the dark. Tensions simmering beneath the surface. A threat waiting to strike again.
And the closer Prince Yahyar gets, the harder it is to remember why things didn't work out the first time.
There's so many ppl to keep track of now. We need a chart instead of the list.
I don't think I liked Hazel. At first at least. It rubs me the wrong way when people act as if they are the only one to lose someone in death. That other people don't have the right to hurt or deal with it as they see fit. Osian is better than me because I wouldn't go out of my way to explain any of my actions and she would have been put in her place for stepping out of bounds as often as she did.
I hope to read about some of the other pairings. I want to read about the ladies who have gone to the village and got what they came for as opposed to the unnecessarily difficult ones who act like they're being held at gunpoint even 2 years later.
He did Lori dirty. I hope she gives it another chance and that we get to read about her HEA. She'll be one of the few ladies who will have a legitimate reason to second guess someone's attention and affection. Maybe she'll get to be paired with the new family member. 🤔 That would be an interesting turn of events.
I was wondering when the clones would resurface. I understand why they would want to be with their own. Its unfortunate because they'll be treated like second class citizens and I'm sure that's why most of the ladies volunteered to leave Earth. Who wants to be on an Alien planet experiencing the same treatment? I was hoping that the clones would be sterile like most things that are cloned are reported to be. It may even the playing field. Or perhaps capable of only having one child before becoming infertile.
So where is the Dr? Are the kids still growing at a rapid pace and if so, how old are they now? I had a few other questions but accidentally deleted them, smh.
When they were originally paired together, Hazel and Yahyar only pretended work until they didn’t have to anymore. A couple of years later, the two have not forgotten each other, and fate finds a way to put the, back together. Can the two continue to resist each other?
I read this story when O’Hare was still posting chapters on Kindle Vella, so the start of this book was rocky for me because it felt like I was reading something else entirely. It was pretty fine by the end, but I was a bit disappointed to see that there were any problems this far into the series.
If you like, aliens, second chance romance, and some plot with your smut, this is for you.
Hazel & Yahyar allowing themselves to fall in love was sooo cute! I enjoyed how neither of them fought their feelings more than needed & didn’t shy away from the onlookers. Rakesh has been a beautiful universe to visit with each installment in this series, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
This story dragged on for me. It seemed to be missing the interesting aspect as the other stories. I am happy Hazel and Yahar got their chance at love and happiness, but it took too long.
