First they stole her house. Then they stole her pub. Now these three irresistible brothers might just steal her heart.

When her mentor kicks the bucket, Isla's dream of owning her beloved Highland pub crashes and burns, landing in the laps of three sinfully tempting American brothers. There's Theo, the grumpy one whose scowls make her want to climb him like a tree. Henry, the rugged heartbreaker whose mouth should come with a warning label. And Dylan, the adorkable numbers guy hiding a devil behind those glasses. They may own her pub, but she owns something better: the recipe for their undoing.

Now Isla's building her own brewery, determined to serve up revenge with a side of success. But between Theo's heated glances, Henry's wicked promises, and Dylan's unexpected wild side, she's discovering that revenge isn’t as tempting as it once was. The line between enemies and lovers is disappearing faster than a shot of whisky, and Isla's starting to wonder what it’ll feel like to get burned.

They say to keep your enemies close, but Isla’s pretty sure they didn’t mean this close.

After being obsessed with her Charlie (Love Sequence 1) story and meeting Isla in that book I knew I wanted to read her story.

I love Isla’s spirit. She fierce, and loving and when the guys we got just a glimpse of in book 1 come back in the picture let me tell you I was hyped.

Isla had plans to take over the local pub, but that falls through when the owners son sells it to three American brothers instead of her. Now she has to figure out what she’s going to do with her life…and the three men she’s found herself entangled with.

I immediately loved each the guys. They each had such different personalities. I do which that we’d gotten a little more information about their backstory though. There were a lot of things dropped that, just for my curiosity, I’d have liked fleshed out. However, it was really fun seeing how they each interacted with Isla and wanted to make the relationship work.

This book was fun and sweet and spicy. I’ll be honest and say Charlie’s story is still my favorite, but I still enjoyed reading this and will definitely read it again.

Perhaps those who love this book more than I do can explain the allure. After reading Charlie’s story, I went into Isla’s knowing there’d likely be more sex than plot (something I’m good with, for the most part . . . hellloooo Henry 🥵) . . . But for all the hundreds of pages of —??— it was what I felt was missing — just plain left out or rolled over — that has stuck with me. Not in a good, “I get to fill in the blanks using my own imagination, thus keeping the characters ‘alive,’” way, but in a “why bother incorporating those little details or dead-end plot points at all?” way. **Spoilers marked, below.**

The Isla that features in Charlie’s story is spunky and seemingly fearless; with her flaming hair and emerald green eyes, I could envision her as a fiery Scottish fairy. In her own tale, I anticipated being introduced to other parts, if not all the parts, of her (complex) personality. And I was, I feel, at least in the beginning. However, for me, I’s character somewhat devolved as the chapters flew by. She didn’t read as “badass” to me; there were just too many situations in which she could or should have easily taken the lead or devised the simple solution ultimately/ inevitably suggested by one or more of her men. An issue would arise, she would freak out or become sort of immobile from indecision, T, H, and/or D would make a suggestion, and — poof — all her stress and anxiety would magically disappear. Their support was great, I enjoyed their points-of-view, they’re sexy as hell, but I also believe that more than a little potential was wasted here.

***Spoilers***

For me, the “greatest” of those points, those details most glaringly missing, included the circumstances surrounding the brothers’ parents’ murder and what exactly happened with Katie (Isla never told the boys that she in fact, quite conveniently, met K, did she?). More space was swallowed up by the Murder Mystery Dinner I and T attended than their actual wedding ceremony (did any of the brothers’ family or friends attend??), not to mention the fun but again space-swallowing asides spent setting up Penelope’s and Lorna’s stories with their respective men. (I’m going to assume that L left the ball with one of her neighbors, who saw the pic I had posted of L in her costume and came a-running.) One final mini-tangent: Had Charlie fallen down some magical rabbit hole before consciously choosing to “forget” to pack I’s birth control? Was she trying to force something on her sister-in-law?? (Or in, pun intended?) The Kindle version I downloaded contained no epilogue — what happens with the brewery, the pub, I’s eventual if not imminent pregnancy?? — which leads me to believe that I’s and her husbands’ story continues in the next installment (dedicated to Penelope).

I just don’t think P’s story will be for me.

This book is follows the story of Isla and her three men, Henry, Dylan, and Theo.

Isla has her entire world crash around her when her future plans are taken from her. You following along as she falls in love with the men who took her dream from her. They help her build and create and even bigger and better future. Full of spice, and beautiful dynamics of juggling 4 strong and different personalities.

This book is more spice than plot, which isn’t a bad thing! Any sort of problems are resolved fairly quick, which makes for a nice, fun read.

This is the second book in a series, but I think can be read as a standalone. The first book does help explain some other characters mentioned, and provide a bit more of Isla’s back story.

I did received this book as an ARC, but I loved the first book, and knew I needed to read this one as well.

I enjoyed the read, however I very much preferred the first book in this series as there was definitely more relationship building and plot. This book was good for the pure smut its intended to be but I found it a bit too repetitive and there was a emphasized point to set up the next RH in the series which is a personal pet peeve.
The good parts were the continuation and integration of Charlie and the guys’ story throughout and the plot line surrounding the bar ownership dream dashing. The relationships were much too fast paced for me, while the rule was to go on individual dates it didn’t end up fanning out as well. It seemed the “I love you”s were after about 15 minutes of bickering and the proposals/marriage a few weeks later. What happened to the brewery? Why didn’t we get to see them engaged for more than a paragraph? I have questions

I didn't think that I could fall even more in love with these characters than when we me them in Charlie's story. The love that builds between Isla, Henry, Dylan, and Theo makes me wish that I could up and move to Scotland and find this kind of love. I love the way that while this is their own story, we still get to see peeks from Charlie, Jack, Cam and Lach throughout. I also love that we get a sneak peak into future stories with Pen and her men. Isla is a lucky, lucky lady and I'm just as jealous of her as I was with Charlie.

Why have 1 brother when you can have all 3

I knew from book 1 I was going to love Isla’s story. Throw in the brothers from the pub scene and I was sold! The way these men worship Isla and the ground she walks on and how dirty their mouths are had me kicking my feet like a school girl. It’s always the nerdy ones who are the freakiest and my man Dylan had me sweating with the filth he got up to with our girl! The honeymoon?!?!? Sweet Lord! I have never been more jealous of a book character in my life!

This was good and Henry was out here giving EVERYTHING and leaving no crumbs. Redeeming the name for all the Henry’s out there who are screwing up.

The love stories between Isla and all three men were beautifully done. Each one of them brings something different and special to Isla and together they make her more than happy.

Does this have a ton of plot? Not really.
Is it mostly smut? Absolutely
Was it a great time? Heck yes.

I would rate this higher but that ending was so abrupt I thought they were kidding.

I was so excited to receive an ARC for this book. As always, Daphne delivered an easy, low stakes read. I read along on kindle Vella but it was so nice to read the whole story together. Compared to Charlie, there is more spice than plot here ( not much plot in Charlie, either, but that’s not what we’re here for, right?). I’ll be following Penelope’s story on Ream, but I much prefer to read in long form.

We got to meet Isla in Daphne's first book of the Love Sequence series, Charlie and got a glimpse of her character then. Daphne has a way of writing emotion and such detail into each story so that you are totally immersed and feel a connection to the characters. Fantastic spicy scenes mixed with funny story lines and emotional moments between all of the characters make this a great read. This is a love story of acceptance, love and daring to grab what life has to offer.

This book is 80% spice and 20% plot but I’m not complaining, sometimes that’s just what we want.

The tiny bit of drama happened around 20%, it was quickly resolved and the rest of the book was pure spice. It was a really long book but a good palette cleanser if you’re looking for something steamy and fun 😍

This was soo good! I was so excited to hear Islas's story after Charlie, and this did not disappoint!! I'd say definitely 70% smut 30% plot. I would've liked to see more plot, more scenes at the bar with the guys, of them growing their relationship and especially the brewery since that was such a big thing throughout the book.

I cannot wait for Lorna and Pens books!

I’m glad I gave this book a chance! It was really light and fun. This one was a a bit shorter but like Charlie’s book, it’s really long for a small plot, however, it was written a lot better than Charlie’s story as far as range and detail. It still lacked a bit in those areas and I wish there was more dialogue and connection between the brothers but overall it was a cute read.

These love sequence books are amazing! I love that all these stories do not follow the typical relationships accepted by modern day dating standards. These books also have so much spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ which makes them the perfect books to jump into when you need a little break from long series. Can’t wait to read Penelope’s story when it comes out in a few weeks

I’m still in a bit of shock about this actually. I kept hoping the 3 brothers weren’t going to be blood relatives. I was so close to a DNF at 89%, but I’m no quitter. It was just OK until they started licking her from front to back AFTER the others had already finished inside of her!!! Like, blood brothers each licking the other’s cum…not ok!

It was as good as the first book it was a little more fast paced then Charlie but just as sweet. I love how we got to see a bit of pen and Charlie. I can not wait for Penelope book to come out to see if she acts on her feeling or just pushes them down.

This series, I also had started and finished in KindleVella. Again, said it went away. This love story is just as HOT, HOT as the Charlie's story. Isla's story with her guys is just beautiful. Definitely did not want to stop reading.

Brothers

I had a real hard time the fact that the three guys sharing her were brothers. Yes, I knew it from Charlie, but I didn't think they were blood relative brothers. At least, I hoped they weren't. When I let myself forget they were brothers, I could enjoy it more.

While this reverse harem trope is not unusual for me, I have to say that this is the healthiest, most realistic, RH I’ve ever read (so far). I feel like it’s a slow-burn, but I could be wrong. I do love the different personalities of the dynamic and how they compliment each other.

DNF at 30%. I read the first book, Charlie, so I knew what this would be. The plot is non-existent which I expected but the character development is all over the place, disjointed, and makes no sense. This series is just not for me.

Perfect easy read! 🔥 This book hits the sweet spot between cozy and spicy. Perfect palette cleanser when you need something light and fun but still steamy! The Highland setting is chef's kiss.

I love a good RH & am open to most possible opportunities, but this gave me the ick. Borderline incestuous- a boundary I’d rather not explore. So I guess I do have a line.

So many typos

Spicy read. Cute but repetitive. Typos were distracting. When the wrong names are used, you know there was no editor.

I really wanted to love it

I really liked Charlie and was excited for Isla’s story. Sigh, I couldn’t get past the actual brothers being full brothers thing….but also, this book had many repetitive lines as well as just things that felt like filler (the murder mystery?!?!?). I also am beginning to not like how the men mansplain how the female body works or always control what the woman wants under the “it will be better” ruse all the time. I dunno. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I think this is a DNF for the series.

Another smutty read. I had a hard time reading some scenes knowing they were actual brothers. I think I prefer RH where the guys are close, but not related. I am ready to read the next one!

This had all the spice of Charlie and about the same amount of plot. Enjoyed it thoroughly even with the flimsy plot. Characters are lovable and there are tons of denser books for a good plot. 😉
