No one knows for sure what happens on Isla del Corazón Roto, Heartbreak Island. No cell. No internet. No distractions. After being jilted at the aisle, Lucinda “Lucky” Moreno heads to the no-frills retreat to heal her broken heart, only to find herself battling not only her past and the elements, but the most annoying man she’s ever met. Five months after being dumped by her fiancé, Lucinda “Lucky” Moreno heads to an intense heartbreak recovery workshop. She’d thought giving up all modern conveniences and being away from home would be the hard parts, but that was before meeting the most arrogant, bullheaded man on the entire island. Maybe, on the planet.
Ezequiel “Zeke” Hart’s funding of a renowned workshop on healing heartbreak isn’t entirely altruistic. He’s secretly hoping to discern what makes people fall in love, and if––as he’s long suspected––he might be too damaged for romance. He refuses to let the infuriatingly spontaneous Lucky Moreno derail his quest for the truth.
Can a tightly-coiled control freak and an injured free spirit find the courage to love each other despite a lifetime’s worth of obstacles, their own deep-seated fears, and the cunning of a scheming ex?

Not even half way through and I was crying along with the main character. Absolutely worth your time to read! If you ever felt like you weren't enough, this book is a great one to read.
This was an easy to read book with a mixture of genres, a touch of suspense, mystery and rom-com. We meet Lucinda, hoping to eradicate her heartbreak, and Zeke hoping to learn more about love. Neither of which is looking for a relationship. Lucinda dealing with a healthy dose of self doubt and loathing, anger and hurt. And, most importantly, her process for healing Diana has created a myriad of complex characters to interact in and out of Lucinda’s orbit, some not so positively. But definitely ‘interestingly’. This was certainly worth reading, entertaining with a bit of spice! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
Lucinda "Lucky" Moreno isn't so lucky the day Jude leaves her at the altar. It's been months and Lucinda needs to find a way to get over Jude once and for all. Zeke doesn't believe he's capable of love. Both wind up attending Dr. Rosales' workshop for the heart broken and the broken hearted. The one thing Lucky and Zeke can agree on is that they don't care for each other. They can't. This original story will warm your heart and maybe, just maybe there is a future to love.
The emotions are real and the characters are amazing. This is an original story with heartbreak, anger, drama, betrayal, laughter and acceptance. I loved this book, it's an amazing story of a broken heart and what one person is will to do to get to back to living and enjoying life again.
Lucky and Luke at Heartbreak Island -- an emotional journey in finding onself and one's true happiness. Includes drama, emotions, interactions, romance, betrayal, fears, anger, humor, healing and acceptance.
Let’s just say the chemistry between Zeke and Lucinda wrapped me right in!
She’s getting over finding out her ex cheated on their supposed wedding day. He’s never been in love before and wants to learn more on why people fall in love.
This book had it all; heartbreak, romance, sexy scenes, mystery, emotional, laughter, conning ex, sleazy roommate, protective brothers!
The epilogue was fantastic! Pulled everything together and such a wonderful ending!
Thank You for Breaking My Heart by Diana Muñoz Stewart
This is a sweet romance packed with loads of tension and a healthy dose of spice. Diana really gets into the mind space of her main characters in this one.
Imagine your childhood BFF and love of your life breaking your heart on your wedding day. This is exactly what happens to Lucinda. And Diana does an amazing job bringing out all the feelings one might feel in this situation. The self doubt and loathing. The anger and hurt. And, most importantly, her process for healing. Diana covered so much of things that I personally believe in this one, that I might be a bit biased. But I absolutely loved it and feel it is inspirational for anyone going through any type of relationship drama.
I loved this touching story of lost love. When Lucinda is dumped on her wedding day she crawls into a hole at her family campsite and does not emerge. She hears about a broken heart camp on an island just off of Puerto Rico. She doesn’t know all the growing and changes that are heading her way. I loved every moment of this beautifully written book! I feel like I have seen the beautiful island for myself and I felt all the pain that the campers felt.
Zeke is the owner of the island and has allowed the camp to take place so that he can learn about love. He has never felt it since the loss of his mother at an early age. When he meets Lucinda he is aggravated with her ways but soon learns the answers to all of his questions. I highly recommend this book it is simply beautiful.
I really enjoyed Thank You For Breaking My Heart. I liked the plot, main and secondary characters and how the island was explained so beautifully visually. Lucinda and Zeke were great characters and i really enjoyed their chemistry. I loved seeing Lucinda and how she completely changed when she got behind the lens of her camera and how sure of herself she was. Zeke was a great man and i loved learning about him and his life on the island and how genuinely he saw Lucinda and how deeply he cared. I really liked watching the journey between these two. I loved reading about the heartbreak group and what everyone had gone through and how they interacted together.
Thank You for Breaking My Heart is one of those books that leaves you emotional hangover in the best way. Lucinda is looking to heal after being dumped by her fiancé. Zeke is trying to figure out if he is capable of love. They are most definitely an opposites attract. And being trapped together at an island off-grid retreat doesn’t allow for much time apart. But sometimes that’s exactly what you need to heal and move forward. The pain, angst, and healing for these characters is so real. Have a box of tissues nearby, I definitely needed them.
Read if you love: ❤️ Opposites attract ❤️ Grumpy/Sunshine ❤️ Heartbreaking/Healing ❤️ RomCom with a hint of mystery and suspense
This was an emotional story with a little bit of everything. Just like in real life there were moments of heartbreak, laughter, anger, acceptance, fear and love. Zeke came across as a bit of an arrogant jerk to start with but that didn't last long. Lucinda and Zeke both receive what we all want, to be seen, accepted and loved for who you are. I am hoping that her brothers will get their own stories.
The title really says it all, would I be brave enough to go to well no mans land where there is slim to none ways yo communicate with the outside world in order to heal myself nope! So seeing Lucinda start to really find herself and heal along with Zeke being there and the sparks between them had me clap like an excited child as well as really feel for both of them and the self healing they do and so much more on this journey.
Thank You for Breaking My Heart is a thought-provoking treatise on what love is. What is true and lasting love. Lucinda has/had? been in love with her childhood sweetheart forever; then he breaks her heart. Zeke seems to fall in lust first, but it never lasts. Together, they ride an emotional rollercoaster of their feelings for each other, as something sinister goes on around them. Can they agree that together they can figure out their way to a HEA? Diane Munoz-Stewart delivers another winner.
This was such a wonderful book. It was a mix of genres. It had a touch of suspense, mystery and rom-com. I laughed several times throughout the book. It had a sweetness to it you don’t often find in books these days. The writing is wonderful.
This story was a little different. There is a private island where you can to to get over heartbreak. Well written with great characters. Once you start reading you won't want to stop. I was given a copy and I voluntarily leave this review.
Thank You for Breaking My Heart is a touching contemporary romance that beautifully captures the raw emotions of heartbreak and new beginnings. The characters felt real, and the emotional evolution kept me invested until the end. Highly recommended for anyone who loves heartfelt romance.
Totally enjoyed this story about Lucinda. She hopes to find a place to heal but ends up with surprises instead. Once you start reading there’s no escaping until you’re finished. Don’t miss out.
This book was so much fun to read. I loved Luke and Lucky’s story. Healing, emotion and spice in just the right measure. Diana Munoz Stewart knows how to weave a compelling story.
I loved Lucinda and Zeke! What a beautiful story. I have got to know most of these characters from the series, But Zeke is such a complex character that it was amazing to watch him unravel, like peeling the skin off an onion. The storyline was so addictivOmge that I couldn't put the book down. it had me laughing and crying. It took the complexities of heartbreak to find love.... This is a well written book with strong characters and a great storyline.
