Understanding Value-Based Healthcare Model: Responsibly Moving Medicare from Volume to Value

Rate this book
Our goal was to put together a comprehensive book that will enable others to better understand the multiple facets involved in Value-Based Health Model. This book explores how the future of healthcare aims to deliver equitable care under the value-based care model, marking a significant departure from the conventional fee-for-service approach brought in by the Affordable Care Act. Healthcare delivery and payment is a multifaceted issue. It is hoped that this book will help clarify an intricate problem that impacts citizens daily. The Value-Based Health model uses new payment approaches to reward healthcare providers for better outcomes, not just for more treatments. Value-based healthcare achieves its aim of improving individual and population health while delivering a more cost-effective and meaningful care experience by ensuring that every element of the system revolves around the patient.

Good content, but I listened to the Audible “AI scribe” version and it definitely detracted from the experience. If you are interested in this book, I’d recommend picking up a hard copy - not only is it packed with information (and therefore going back or rereading is a good plan!) the audible version is rough IMO.
