My life has never been mine. Not really.
Every step I’ve taken, every choice I’ve made—it was never about what I wanted. It was a script written before I even knew how to speak, a path paved in expectation and legacy. The right schools, the right friends, the right future. A cage dressed up as extravagant wealth . I’ve spent years suffocating under the weight of it, trapped in a life that’s been decided for me.
Enter Jaxon Knox, tearing through the carefully constructed walls of my world as if he was always meant to.
And he’s not alone.
His brothers follow.
Kaios Knox and Nyx Leone, shadow and fire, unmaking everything I thought was certain of. With them, nothing is simple. The lines blur—between safety and danger, right and wrong, freedom and control.
Because resisting them feels like a battle I’m already losing. They look at me as if I belong to them—as if I was always theirs. Something dark and reckless inside me screams to surrender.
And maybe….I want to.
I should run. I should fight harder to hold onto the life I understand. But the more the truth finds its way to the light, the more I realize I never understood anything at all.
And that might be the most dangerous truth of all.

This book is awesome.

I could go into a whole synopsis but you’ve got the blurb and the other reviews so I’m going to cut to the chase. Here’s what set this book apart for me and I read a ton of dark romance books:
THE FMC. She’s amazing and so well written and so dynamic.

THE SUPPORTING CHARACTERS. This is the absolute highlight of the whole book, the time the author spent really developing all of the characters, main or not, it’s so unique. The FMC’s best friend is like the best friend we all need in real life she’s so funny and their relationship is everything. FMCs brothers- so different from each other and so intertwined.

THE MMCS. Yall these three men. They’re brothers, not by blood. And they’re all so different and so dang swoony and hot. Kaios is crazy but I would crawl to him. And Jaxon has moved to the top of my book boyfriend harem.

This book is a very fast paced twisty plot, amazing writing, great banter, and the tension and burn and spice is all well executed.

I’m shocked this is a debut book, felt like it was written by a very seasoned author to me.

I had the absolute privilege of BETA reading Ashes, Ashes! This book is INSANE in the absolute best way. There is tension, banter, high stakes, suspense, and so much more! I fell in immediate love with Naomi, and then, of course, the boys didn't fall far behind. 🥵 This book had me on the edge of my seat!!! The antagonist was so clear and SO HATEABLE you spend the entire book being so mad about it 🤣🤣 But I had the MOST fun getting through this story for Aria! What a well written story packed with so many different emotions!!! all of her readers are in for SUCH a treat!

Damn that was one insane cliffhanger, I had to sit still and gather my thoughts for a bit before writing this so here we go… firstly this is a cult romance, it’s seems just like a bodyguard romance at the start, spoiler alert, it’s not. A traumatised girl with bodyguards that she has the hots for… but then her boyfriend who’s been gone for a year proposes to her and now she’s dragged into a whole world of danger and drama. And it’s now a choice between do i want to do the safe thing, or the dangerous thing? Honestly what’s life without a little risk? I loved the plot line, it was a little slow at one point but once it picked up pace is was thrilling, amazing plot twists and a killer cliffhanger. Pivoting now, It’s really hard to find an MMFM story or why choose story where all of them are just so unique and beautiful. let’s talk about our Mmcs, all three of them bring something different to the story, and they’re all messed up in their own way. Jaxon is the most level headed and also the cutest one. He’s got a dark side but he’s mostly just flirting and yearning. Now Nyx is the enemies to lovers guy, his chemistry with Naomi is explosive, it’s extreme push and pull and lots of fighting. Now Kaios, is really just the one that makes me cry. He’s has multiple personality disorder because of his traumatic past and my poor baby is violent and crazy, but he loves Naomi in his own way. He made me bawl, and yes he’s the stalker in the dark, bc he’s too traumatised to actually approach her as himself. I’m not crying you are. Anyways Naomi is also such a fierce and fun character, I can’t wait to see what the next book has in store for all of them. I give this book a 4.5/5

Ashes, Ashes has an incredibly good plot. The spice, the supernatural, the high stakes forbidden love paired with the familial power is a great combination.

However, a few things did fall short for me. The beginning of the story was confusing with all the different POVs thrown in at once before we got to know the characters better.

There also seemed to be some possible plot holes. In the prologue we learned that Naomi is kidnapped, but throughout the entire book it isn’t really mentioned very much and we don’t come to any conclusions about who her kidnapper is or what their motivations were. We also learn next to nothing about the Corinthium until the very end of the book. I would’ve liked for there to be a lot more on that, because I was very interested in the supernatural aspects of the story. I hope a lot of these holes can be fixed or explained in the next book.

Although at times this book was confusing for me, there are some things I really loved. I loved the banter between Naomi and the boys! She is very witty and quick to respond which I enjoy in an FMC. Each of the characters had their own distinct mannerisms and personalities as well, which is hard to find in a book sometimes. Not to mention the spice was perfect, and Aisha and Naomi’s friendship was so cute.

Thank you to Aria for gifting me an ARC to read and review! 🩷

*** I got an ARC in exchange for a review.

Ashes Ashes was a confusing book for me. It’s like the author couldn’t figure out the tone or direction this book (or series?) is going to go, so they threw the kitchen sink at it.

We have a fun getaway with friends on a boat and island, we have random shooting where we don’t address the source of the shooters, we have demons, rape and kidnapping, amnesia, the illusion that we might have a Why Choose moment with the boys, a secret society, human sacrifice. Just, why so many tropes? It left me feeling jerked around and not as invested as a result.

While I could visualize every character, I felt like enough time wasn’t spent on WHY each boy likes Naomi. Jaxon’s backstory of knowing her when they were younger is NEVER discussed. There are some amnesia moments, so I was hoping that we would resolve that in this book so that I could root for their relationship, but it never happened. Now that I’ve read the book, it feels like this is going to be a series, and maybe the answers will be there down the line. If you want me to invest in the characters though, their motivations need to happen earlier.

Kaios as a characters is striving for that Stalker Romance trope that is getting popular, but I don’t buy him liking her as much as wanting to possess her. The creepy to adoring scale is skewed more towards creepy. The only thing I did enjoy about Kaios is the inner demons talking to him. I hope that gets more screentime (book version) in the next book.

With all this going on, I don’t think I will continue to read this series.

“What if your life wasn’t yours and then three morally dubious demigods of chaos showed up like: hey.”

And my brain said: oh we’re feral now.

Our girl has been living in a gilded cage, matching sweaters, fixed smiles, legacy this, legacy that. Basically “perfect on paper” but paper cuts hurt and she’s been bleeding silently for YEARS.

Enter the Knox brothers + one Nyx, who show up like a category 5 emotional hurricane and just… rearrange her entire existence.
Not politely.
Not slowly.
Just boom: reality shattered, identity questioned, knees weak, heart doing gymnastics.

Jaxon is the spark.
Kaios is the quiet dark room you shouldn’t go into but absolutely will.
Nyx is the fire you swear you can handle right until you’re crispy.

And the chemistry?
There are words not allowed in Barnes & Noble being felt here.

This isn’t just spice (though yes… absolutely yes)
It’s that oh god they see me, like really see me kind of intimacy that is both healing and unhinging at the same time.

The story is messy in a human way.
Freedom isn’t pretty.
Identity hurts to rebuild.
And surrender is sometimes the bravest (and hottest) choice.

I had the pleasure and honour of reading this as an ARC book and im thoroughly grateful.
I read this so quickly, I blinked and I was halfway through.

The FMC is strong and witty and really well written
The MMCs are all dangerous and brooding and so hot??? I will crawl for Jaxon and Nyx and you can’t stop me

The plot is very nuanced and mostly thought out but sometimes I felt like it forgot where it was going or where it started. Some things happen early on that I feel just… don’t get addressed after the incident and it was simply a basic plot point to give a modicum of background as to why the FMC is “broken”. She says this a lot and it bothered me a little.
It also jumped around for me writing wise; sometimes it felt so incredibly written that I forget it’s a debut, and sometimes it felt a little YA Wattpad. But maybe this is why I ate it up so quick.

The intimate scenes were 💯 and really well done, the fighting and violence was spot on, and ultimately im left with a cliffhanger and so many questions.

But Aria. Babe. The yacht. I wanted spice girl.

Either way im looking forward to book 2 and hopefully it answers some of my questions and I get more of my favourite trio 👀

3.25-3.5. I received this as an advanced reader copy. Overall I enjoyed the book and I think it could be an interesting series. I wish the beginning portion was detailed out a little more. I’m wondering if we’ll get more of an explanation in the second book but I felt like it was a little glossed over and rushed. The middle of the book was fun getting to know the various characters and crossing some lines. I really liked the FMC and her personality. The whole secret society thing is honestly confusing and hasn’t been explained well but that might also come in book two. The concept of all the brothers was fun and their different personalities.

Solid 4.25⭐️ Thanks for the arc, I really liked this one, the writing style was nice, easy to follow and a good overall read. There was a lot of building the story and I look forward to uncovering more as the series progresses. Also them boys are coming across all sorts of dangerous in the very best way!

(Plot/Spice/Tears/Violence)
📚 3/5 - 🌶 4/5 - 💧1/5 - 🩸3/5

The first few chapters of this was VERY confusing because we don't know who the POV is from. I had to reread parts a few times before I figured out there are 2 sets of 3 brothers with only one set being Naomi's brothers. But once I did things flowed smoothly reading wise, and I enjoyed the book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The plot is interesting, but there are a few things that never get explained. I don't know, maybe book two will wrap that up? I feel like a few of the explanations, I would have been satisfie with them being a coupl of paragraphs long.

Jaxon, Nyx, Kaios and Naomi were really interesting together, though I wish we got an explanation on why Kaios is possessed(I also enjoyed the Demons). I LOVED the banter with Jaxon and Naomi.

The spice might have been the best part. 😈

I will probably give the second book a try.

DNF’d at 76%

I couldn’t do the cheating trope. I tried, I really did. Even though he deserves it, the FMC doesn’t know that and still follows through. It just made me feel icky and I couldn’t do it anymore. My one other gripe with this book was that it’s labeled supernatural… however the only supernatural part about it is 3 demons being trapped inside one of the MMCs, which was mentioned once at the beginning. To me after getting to 76% there should’ve been at least a little bit more discussion as to how this book is a supernatural romance.

Ashes, Ashes was so much!! Thank you, Aria Devereux for the chance to read your work as an ARC reader.

I’m not even sure where to start… the ending has me sitting here dying to jump into the next book. The cliffhangers was something you did NOT see coming.

This book was an easy read that had multiple characters that were introduced early on… there were some spots in the book that I had to re-read because I was lost for a second.

However, there was redemption and plot twisted like an Oklahoma twister. The story and characters have so much potential for growth.

***there may be spoilers ahead!***

As much as I loved Jaxon, Nyx, and yes, even Kaios…apparently, slow burns are not for me when they take this long. I felt like the first half of the book literally had nothing going on. Then things start sort of picking up about halfway and then bam, cliffhanger from Hades. There’s so many plot holes left unfinished which I’m assuming will be wrapped up in the next book. But this? This felt like there was absolutely nothing going on and then a bunch of random events and things that happened that left a LOT of unanswered questions which I don’t like. I feel like this book went no where for me because there weren’t any conclusions.

Thank you for the ARC opportunity

The plot for the book is good but for me it was a mix at the beginning and at the end too.

Starting strong with Naomi being taken from her family after a night out and being help captive.
I admire her strength that she's not allowing fear to control her life and rebuilding herself.

Her brother deciding she needs bodyguards and she get the finest ones 😍

The enemies to lovers vibe is impeccable, so is the why choose part.

Overall it's a great book 📖 ☺️

you do not understand the adoration I have for this book. I have read many dark romance books and somehow always fine the FMC lacking. Not this one! She is strong. She is her own person. She doesn't lose herself or change that you see in most others. I loved how the book stuck true to itself, to the characters, and to the story. I devoured it!!! This is the first ARC book I literally could not put down and I'm gonna buy the actual to read it physically again and again and again...

Ashes, Ashes is the 1st book in the Damnation’s Creed Series by Aria Devereux.

This book is just fantastic. From the moment I started reading it I just couldn’t put it down; I was enthralled from the first page until I finished the last word. Aria did a phenomenal job writing this book and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in this series to find out what happens next.

I just love Naomi; she is this dynamic strong FMC who is just amazing. She grows and develops through the book. Naomi wasn’t written to be perfect or even likable. But, she is raw, humble, haunted, and she is doing her best in order to rebuild herself from the inside out. I was stunned in watching her fight in trying to understand who she was after everything that she’s gone through, and that in and of itself was so powerful in my eyes, but at the same time Naomi was also questioning her own sanity. She’s managed to maintain her vulnerability somehow and that’s so magnetic, she refuses to remain broken, even though everyone around her knows that she’s been drowning in nightmares, her memories, and through it all I loved that her loyalty to her family remained and that was so beautiful.

I do have to say that Naomi’s fiancée Christian is nothing more than a POS. I didn’t really like him all that much and there really wasn’t all that much that could redeem him in my eyes. And honestly it didn’t seem like he even liked or thought about Naomi at all. I mean I understand arranged marriages and I understand they are not love matches. But still, you can still show some consideration to your fiancée once and a while.

Our three MMCs Jaxon Knox, Kaios Knox, Nyx Leone. My God these men. They are brothers, not by blood but by choice, but by that choice has made them even stronger than some brothers who are brothers by blood. Each one of them have their own personalities and they are so different and it would be so easy to swoon for them as they are hotter than sin. Kaios is crazy but you can’t help but want to crawl across the floor for him. Jaxon, well you can just put him at the top of my book boyfriend list. And what can you say about Nyx? He is just so different from his brothers and you can see that from the get go. He is the techy on, lives in the shadows and keeps his secrets close to his chest.

And then we have the cast of supporting characters. I have to say that they are honestly the highlight of the entire book. You can tell that Aria really took her time in developing all of her characters, and it didn’t matter if they were the main character of secondary. Each on of the characters are so unique. Naomi’s best friend is the best friend we all need in our real lives, she’s funny, honest, and you can tell that the relationship they have is everything. And Naomi’s brother’s and their SO’s are all so different from each other and yet they are all able to play off each other and work together and they are still so intertwined. Aria did a perfect job in her character development.

I love how quick paced this book is and how controlled Aria kept the pacing, it was stunning. I loved all the twists and turns that were written in, the plot and subplots were superbly layered in with incredible writing, remarkable banter, and the tension and slow burn along with the spice was just executed with perfect precision.

I am honestly shocked and surprised that this is Aria Devereux’s debut book. I felt as though this was a book that had been written by a seasoned author.

I can’t recommend this book enough. This book is well thought out, well developed and exceptionally written. Aria Devereux deserves all the credit for her work and this book deserves to be enjoyed by people over and over again and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book ASAP!

“It's not just temptation. It’s destruction. And I want it. I want him to destroy me.”

⛤♥⛤---ARC Review---♥⛤♥

This book had me hooked the moment I saw the words “supernatural dark romance,” and realizing it was also a why-choose sealed the deal. Starting with the positives, I genuinely enjoyed the characters, the suspense woven into the world, and the mystery created through Naomi’s amnesia and the way each MMC reacted to her. Naomi herself was a standout. Her sarcasm, her refusal to take crap from anyone, and her determination not to let her past define her made her incredibly admirable; though I absolutely wanted to shake her more than once, especially over her vague, almost laughable “situationship” with Christian.

“I’d ruin you in ways you’d thank me for and curse me for at the same f*cking time. I’d unmake you. Your mind, your body, your sweet little sense of sanity - it’d all unravel, just for me.”

Aisha, meanwhile, was the friend we all need. She was Naomi’s hype girl through and through, and their bond leapt off the page with how authentic it felt. The only thing that would’ve made it even better is if Aisha had called Naomi out on her nonsense a bit more often. The MMCs, Jaxon, Nyx, and Kaios, were their own brand of fascinating. Their chapters added so much depth, and their bond was written with a rawness and intensity that was genuinely impressive. Still, I found myself confused at times, mostly because we were given so little context about their dynamic and shared history. Their chemistry with Naomi was undeniable, but there were undercurrents and secrets that kept me guessing in the best (and sometimes most bewildering) ways.

“You’ll suffocate.”
”Then I’ll die a happy man. And when I get to hell, I will be sure to give those poor souls a detailed description of what heaven tastes like, because I’ll be the only one of them who knows.”

Plot-wise, the story was unique and filled with potential. I do wish we had seen more of the supernatural elements upfront, especially since the book is clearly marketed as a dark supernatural romance, but with this being a series, there’s plenty of room for expansion. The mystery aspect was well executed; sometimes I had no idea who the antagonist could be, and other times I had an entire list of suspects. By the time the story reached its cliffhanger, I felt like I finally had a clearer idea of what might be going on.

“I’d sell my soul twice over, just to see you look at me like that again.”

Speaking of the ending… I should have paid more attention to the “book 1” label because I was absolutely not prepared for that cliffhanger. I assumed this was a standalone, so the ending hit me like a truck and left me desperate for book two. Unfortunately, with no release date in sight, I guess I’m stuck impatiently waiting and stewing over all the unanswered questions this first installment left behind.

✨ ARC REVIEW ✨

Ashes, Ashes by Aria Devereux

Spice Level: 🌶️.5

Rae’s Rating: 💀💀.5

This is my honest opinion without being too critical. Of course I recommend to everyone to read these books themselves and form their own opinions but for anyone here for Rae's rambles... Here ya go~

Okay… deep breath… let’s do this.

The first 50-60% of this book had me feral. I loved the MMCs so much. Each of them had such distinct vibes and the brotherly bond between Jaxon, Kaios, and Nyx was honestly the highlight of the whole story for me.

Jaxon? The brother’s best friend who’s been secretly in love with her for years? Smug, arrogant, teasing menace? Inject that forbidden romance energy directly into my veins.
Kaios? The obsessive masked stalker with literal demons in his head? Dangerous, feral, deliciously unhinged? I ate it up.
Nyx… okay listen. I liked him. The whole “you wrote me a thank-you note” crush was adorable but their chemistry in the present felt rushed. Jaxon and Kaios at least had SOME buildup. Nyx felt insta-lust/insta-love, and I didn’t fully buy into it.

Naomi, though… whew. I say this in almost every review but I struggle with a lot of FMCs. And unfortunately, Naomi hit those nerves for me. Her decisions didn’t always make sense, and her hot and cold reactions gave me emotional whiplash. Her “I will be strong now” revelation after her trauma was powerful… but the follow through felt inconsistent. Instead of growing into a survivor, she slid back into helpless situations and mixed signals that undercut that journey and making her seem more and more like a victim.

The setup of the story was phenomenal. Kidnapped, assaulted, escapes, returns home psychologically shattered. Enter the brothers as a security detail to protect her. I loved this dynamic. But the kidnapping plot barely shows up again, which made the entire original hook (and the brothers’ role) feel almost separated from the rest of the story. Her PTSD also seemed to vanish once the romance took center stage. I wanted more connection between the trauma, the mystery, and the men.

And then… that final chapter. Girl. That was a swerve. The sudden POV shift, the cult reveal, the supernatural thing being proved true and not just Kaios being insane? None of these elements were bad, but they came out of nowhere with almost zero groundwork. It didn’t feel earned; it felt like being shoved off a cliff by surprise.

BUT.

Am I still curious? Oh absolutely.
Who kidnapped Naomi?
What is this cult?
What does Christian know (because I swear on my TBR he’s involved more)?
What is the massive secret Jaxon is carrying?
Where does Naomi actually fit in all of this?

The unanswered questions are compelling, and I’m invested enough to keep reading.

Despite the parts that didn’t work for me, the author’s strengths SHONE:
⭐ phenomenal world-building
⭐ brotherly bonds written with so much love
⭐ female friendships that felt warm and real
⭐ gorgeous banter
⭐ MMCs who were all beautifully distinct and addictive

You can absolutely see the talent and the heart behind this story. Even though this wasn’t my personal favorite, I fully believe many readers will adore the twists, tension, and dynamics between the characters.

Thank you so much to Aria Devereux for the ARC. I truly admire your creativity and can’t wait to see where you take this world next. ❤️✨

This book completely wrecked me but in the best ways. It’s dark, emotional and absolutely not an easy read for all depending on your tastes of dark but wow, Aria Devereux knows how to write characters that feel real and relatable.

Naomi is one of those FMCs who stays under your skin long after finishing the book. She’s not written to be perfect or easily likable! (I wanted to shout at her and knock sense into her at times.) She’s raw, haunted and trying to rebuild herself from the inside out. Watching her fight to understand herself after everything she’s been through was powerful and also had me questioning my own sanity. There’s something magnetic about her vulnerability, the way she refuses to stay broken even when she’s drowning in memory and fear, and her loyalty to family endearing.

The main men - Jaxon, Nyx and Kaios - are so utterly addictive! Each one has your heart and soul. I found myself totally drawn to them and wanting to learn more about each and their own traumas. I wanted inside their heads. I need more of them desperately! They have dominance, power and depth that draw me in. They have one liners to die for and are highly complex. Chefs kiss with them and their relationship with each other which is deep but also fun at times. I want to say so much about them but it would spoil things, and you need to meet them yourself!

The author’s writing style is what really stood out for me. It’s poetic and vivid without overdoing it and has some great lines throughout the book. This book is written to introduce you to their world and will set you up for what’s to come next. There’s something in the writing that makes even the darkest moments hard to look away from. Aria Devereux doesn’t sugarcoat trauma or wrap it up neatly! Instead she lets it breathe, burn hot and somehow still finds a way to show love and beauty inside the wreckage and the characters.
The side characters are complex too. No one here is purely good or evil but instead they’re all shades of broken and trying to make sense of their own pain and traumas. It makes the story feel messy and human in a way I really appreciate, as well as some moments you really can relate to and others you wouldn’t want too!

This book doesn’t just tell a story but it consumes you, pulling you into the MCs lives. Aria Devereux writes like she’s bleeding onto the page and the result is haunting, intimate and impossible to look away from. I was reading well into the early hours and need to read it again because I am sure I missed things! If you’re looking for something light then this definitely isn’t it and does end on a cliffhanger for the next book. But if you like stories that dig deep into survival, trauma and the parts of love that are hard to talk about or understand, then ‘Ashes, Ashes’ is one that’ll stay with you long after you close the book and aching for the next! This is definitely one for the trophy shelf!

Aria Devereux's book Ashes Ashes is book one in the dark supernatural, romance series Damnation's Creed, a fast moving tale about family, loyalty, revenge, control, psychological manipulation, domestic violence, demons, murder, and personal growth.

Ashes Ashes started off with the leading female being kidnapped and physically abused by an unknown assailant, then somehow after four months, she manages to make her way home where she does her best to put the past behind her and live life on her terms instead of being forced to live in the shadows of what was done to her. Unfortunately, that is a lot easier said than done since she can't control her dreams at night.

To help her try to overcome her past, the leading female's oldest brother hires a security detail to watch over her in hopes of making her feel safe. The problem is, instead of it being an easy job, they find someone assaulting her as she sleeps. Could this be part of the reason for her screaming at night? Who is the person? How is he getting pass the security?

Each of the three brothers in charge the security are bound by loyalty much stronger than blood. And all three would tear the world down to keep the leading female safe, even if it means keeping her safe from herself and the dangerous choices she makes.

Ms. Devereux does an exceptional job making readers get lost in each of the characters; making them feel as if they are living every thing that is happening just the same as the characters are. When the characters cry, the readers will cry, when they hurt, the readers hurt. The same goes for them being happy or silly. However, when then the characters feel a certain deep seated anger waiting to boil over, readers will have to pause or they will end up throwing their book (or kindle) across the room just to be able to try and vent, so readers need to be sure not to have any open drinks next to them as they read this book, and keep in mind, this IS a DARK book, and there are plenty of triggering situations, so please, readers, know what your triggers are before you read.

This was a fun story! I liked our FMC for the most part although some of her decision making and rationale for those decisions drove me crazy, especially her reasons for still wanting to stay with Christian. Her bestie and the trio of brothers were the best part of the novel!

I enjoyed her interactions with each brother, but I would have liked a little more inner dialogue from her connecting them together? Like she keeps having all of the intense individual moments with them but because she doesn’t group the interactions together as a single unique and intense situation (them ALL making her feel a certain deep connection), that it sort of cheapens it. Not sure I explained that well enough haha I just wanted her to be like something like “these recent intense moments between the intruder, Jaxon, and Nyx…blah blah” I want her to acknowledge that it’s a rare thing that all 3 are effecting her, otherwise it seems like each individual brother and their encounters aren’t that important to her. And that’s probably just a me thing haha

The pacing was pretty good. I feel like the story moved along at a good speed and kept me entertained. I do feel like the supernatural/fantasy-ish elements were too sparing to make a ton of sense. It kind of threw me off when they did pop up like oh yeah, this isn’t like a normal world haha. I know our FMC is in the dark about the sketchy world they are a part of, but I suppose I would have liked a bit more snippets or hints about the fantasy aspects of their society when it wasn’t her POV, while still keeping us (the readers) mostly in the dark like our FMC.

That being said, I am excited to read more about it in the next book! I’m curious to see all the crazy stuff! And I’m so ready for stupid Christian to exit the picture and for Naomi to end up with all of the sexy brothers 😜

Thanks so much for ARC!

WHAT THE HECK DID I JUST DEVOUR?
Ashes, Ashes is filled to the BRIM with banter, spice, tension, a never ending emotional rollercoaster that never stops, and broody, dark men that make me question my own mind!

This book is crafted with precision as sharp as a blade to sacrifice and you'll feel yourself immersed in the very folds of the pages with this one!
Naomi is a fierce and unyielding spitfire of a FMC who has her own demons, darkness and manages to catch the attention of not ONE, not TWO but THREE brothers that pine for her like there's no tomorrow. But it's not all sunshine and comfort, no - it's primal, claiming and power fueled lust that drives them to taunt, toy and mess with their target. Despite her disdain, there's a pull on the tethers that seemingly are linked to the devils in devastatingly human form and they are in a game of cat and mouse - one that leaves you gripping the edge of your seat. What's right becomes blurred and the question of wrong is abandoned as the trio navigates new territory. What Naomi doesn't know, will come to smack her in the face revealing that evil not only lurks in the dark but can be closer than you realize - in the blood we surround ourselves with, are born into. What will she do when the blind is taken off and the secrets of her past, present and future come barreling towards her?
This story is twisted to perfection, spun to keep you trapped in the web and just absolutely a test to your own cravings, sanity and attractions and what drives us (no matter the darkness that lurks).

Ends on a massive cliffhanger that has me groaning but I am highly anticipating the next installment for answers because a girl needs to know! Alsooo, Jaxon and Nyx are a dream duo that I would unashamedly be crawling on my knees for.

Ashes, Ashes set my nerves on fire and then danced in the wreckage. This book is pure temptation, tangled up in sin and high fashion designer everything. Aria, babes, I'm so proud of the story you've written!! It's a masterpiece just like you!!

Naomi has spent her whole life following someone else’s script for perfection. But the way she shows her strength after trauma makes her one badass biatch!! Then Jaxon, Kaios, and Nyx crash through everything she thought she knew that was cradled in her little bubble she formed. Even though they all have an watchful eye, they shatter her rules, tear down her boundaries, and suddenly even breathing feels different when they're around. These guys don’t just want her; they want to worship her and destroy her all at once. Even the side characters need to be recognized because they weren't just side characters they were pillars of their own for our girl, Ni.

I have love for Jaxon and Nyx, but let me talk about Kaios Knox. He owns me. Seriously. That man can destroy me and I'll ask him to please do it again. Like his name; He’s chaos, but there’s this wild loyalty underneath it. His demons, Cain, Ryzen, and Vael, they’re his struggle but they make up apart of him. Which leads me to Cain... he’s unreal, brutal and raw, desperate to break out. He’s the one Kaios fights the most, he's the most vocal. And has you screaming to hear all his ideas he speaks out loud, waiting to see them put in action.
#freemymancain because he needs his moment to burn bright in all his unholy glory.

This story is all fever and hunger, danger and control slipping right out of your hands. It’ll leave you restless, and whispering to yourself, “just one more chapter.”

This is Aria’s debut novel, and I NEEED you, yes NEED you to read this immediately, especially if you love paranormal dark romances with men who YEARRRNNNNN for her, an insidious secret (society), and a fierce FMC. Stop reading this review and go download it today! Seriously, this is one of my favorite reads this year. GO READ THIS BOOK!!

Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin. I finished it this morning, and I am STILL thinking about it. I even DREAMT about it! Aria’s writing is immaculate, almost poetic, and it transports you into her world. She masterfully paints a rich, vivid picture, showcasing cultures that reflect a deep love and appreciation. As we navigate through each POV, you can sense that something is being kept hidden—something dark and insidious. We're given the smallest breadcrumbs of hints. As a reader, I felt just like Naomi, our FMC, groping in the dark, speculating, and unsure of what really lurks beneath the surface. Not everything is as it seems, and this lays an excellent foundation for what’s to come.

I have SO many questions, and can we talk about that cliffhanger? It was DIABOLICAL! The last 20 pages had me pacing and reading at the same time. This review is truly based on my reactions; I do not want to spoil a thing. If you read the triggers and content warnings, and it's a green light, then jump in blind. This is a one of a kind experience and blind (outside of checking that list) is the best way to go. This is truly an amazing world, filled with SWOON worthy men(except for one dude IYKYK cuzzzz f*ck that guy disrespectfully), an FMC that’s trying to reclaim what was taken from her, and a dark underworld that will leave you speechless.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars – Haunting, Dark, and Completely Addictive

Ashes Ashes by Aria Devereux is one of those dark romance debuts that settles under your skin and refuses to leave. This story follows one FMC and three MMCs—each of them damaged, layered, and painfully human. What I loved most is how every character feels real, not just in their flaws, but in the ways they break, cope, and reach for connection in a world that doesn’t make it easy.

The emotional depth is standout. You can feel the weight each character carries—whether it’s guilt, trauma, longing, or rage—and yet there’s something undeniably hopeful buried in all of that darkness. Devereux doesn’t shy away from the rough edges; she embraces them. The dynamics between the FMC and the three MMCs are complex, intense, and deeply compelling without ever feeling forced.

There’s a strong undercurrent of suspense throughout the entire story that keeps the pages turning. You’re always waiting for the next reveal, the next emotional unraveling, the next shift in power or vulnerability. And when the final page comes? It sticks with you. The kind of book you put down but keep thinking about the next day.

A debut with this much atmosphere, character depth, and emotional pull is impressive. If you love dark romance with broken characters who still try to love anyway, morally gray men, tension-so-thick-you-can-feel-it, and a heroine with fire in her bones—this one is absolutely worth reading.

Can’t wait to see what Aria Devereux writes next. ✨

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

This book completely owned me. It’s dark, emotional, twisted, and everything I crave in a dark romance. I went in expecting chaos and still wasn’t ready for what Aria Devereux delivered.

Naomi is one of those heroines who lingers in your mind long after you finish reading. She’s messy, complicated, and so real that you can’t help but root for her even when she’s breaking your heart. Watching her try to rebuild herself while fighting through trauma and loyalty hit me hard. She’s strong but still soft in all the right places, and I adored that balance.

Then we have Jaxon, Nyx, and Kaios. My god. These three men are everything. Dangerous, damaged, magnetic and all so different that you can’t choose who to love more. Their energy together is unreal. They’re protective, possessive, and full of raw intensity that burns right through the pages. Every scene between them and Naomi is pure heat, tension, and emotion.

The writing was haunting and beautiful. It pulls you straight into their world and refuses to let go. The mix of heartbreak, loyalty, and love had me fully addicted. I laughed, I teared up, I gasped, and I needed a moment (or several) to recover from some of those scenes.

This story is dark and gritty but also full of heart. It’s a wild, emotional ride that left me begging for more. I need the next book immediately because I am not ready to leave these characters behind.

From page one, I was HOOKED! This story takes you places you absolutely do not expect, and by the final chapter I was sitting there whispering “WTF?!” and flipping back through pages like maybe I missed something. Poor Naomi has endured so much, constantly feeling like she has to smile through pain, and this book peels back every layer she’s been hiding. Watching her collide with Jaxon, Nyx, and Kaios. Each damaged, each dangerous, and each bringing something she didn’t even realize she needed, was addictive. Their dynamic is messy, intense, and full of that chaotic energy that keeps you glued to every chapter.

And the tension? The worldbuilding? The secrets and danger and absolute emotional carnage? It’s all so well-crafted. I loved how uniquely each man fits into Naomi’s life: Jaxon with his steadiness, Nyx with his fire and push-pull banter, and Kaios with that dark, heartbreaking devotion that completely destroyed me. And don’t even get me started on Christian—his little clown act had me rolling my eyes every time he breathed near a page.

This story blends dark romance, cult elements, forbidden connections, and a deep, eerie sense of fate. The plot twists hit hard, the cliffhanger hit even harder, and now I have approximately 28 (maybe not that many...lol) questions I NEED answered in book two! If you love tension-filled why-choose romances with danger, trauma, devotion, and morally gray chaos, this one delivers it all!

"I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.” Ashes. Ashes. Naomi has never truly lived a life of her own. Every choice laid before her schools, friends, future was scripted long before she ever found her voice. Beneath the polished veneer of privilege lies a cage built from expectations, legacy, and the quiet suffocation of a destiny chosen for her, not by her. Then Jaxon Knox shatters the fragile architecture of her well managed world with a force that feels inevitable almost fated. And he is only the beginning.
His brothers, Kaios Knox and Nyx Leone shadow and fire up and end everything Naomi believed was certain. With them, nothing is black and white. Boundaries dissolve: safety blurs with danger, freedom with control, desire with fear. Their presence unravels her resistance, confronting her with a pull she can’t ignore and a darkness inside her that whispers to give in. And the most unsettling part? She might want to.
Naomi knows she should run, cling to the world she understands. Yet truth has a way of cutting through the dark, and with each revelation, she realizes she never truly understood her life at all.
What follows is a perilous, intoxicating journey one that challenges identity, desire, and destiny itself.
Utterly gripping and beautifully crafted, this story demands to be devoured. It’s a must read that leaves you craving the next page, the next secret, the next breathless moment. A must read. Can’t wait to read more. 💛
