I've been alone for so long. No pack. No home. No mate. I was supposed to be bonded, loved, protected. But the alpha I was fated to rejected me, and my pack cast me out to die. Now, I survive one brutal day at a time in the unforgiving wilderness. Until the mountain lion attacks. Until a massive alpha with silver eyes and a scent like cedar and storm saves my life. Kieran says I'm his mate. That fate has given me a second chance. But I don't believe in fate anymore. He should let me go. I'm too broken. Except a snowstorm traps us together in his remote cabin, and my body betrays me in ways I never expected. And when my past comes hunting, determined to reclaim what it once threw away, Kieran makes one thing crystal No one takes what's his. Claimed by the Alpha in the Wild is a steamy M/M Mpreg shifter romance featuring a scarred omega who's forgotten what it means to be wanted, a fiercely protective alpha who refuses to let him run, fated mates, knotting, an unexpected pregnancy that defies all odds, and a love powerful enough to heal even the deepest wounds. HEA guaranteed!
Error in the Blurb: 'Claimed by the Alpha in the Wild' is not the title of this book.
The story has no world-building, few descriptions, and not much is learned about the MCs. It tells more than shows, obviously to keep it under a hundred pages. Perfect if you want a light, fluffy read with the Mpreg trope. But if you want a deeper story that makes you feel something, this isn’t it.
One of the best parts—though I don't think it's shown enough, IMHO—is how the alpha is both protective and possessive, genuinely caring for his omega. Because the omega is initially prickly, I only started to truly feel their love in the epilogue, which is the next best part. I wanted more tender, loving moments, but I've learned that short stories rarely fully satisfy.
The one sex scene is brief, lacks details, and is only done to help the omega through his heat. Before the knotting, the omega says: "Make me yours, Alpha." Afterward: "You took advantage of me." 🫤

😵💫 The story's explanation of fated mates is confusing. It repeatedly states that Callan was Rowan’s fated mate, then suggests Kieran is his "true" fated mate—explaining why Rowan could get pregnant. Later, Callan shows he found Rowan through their fated bond, which hadn't fully broken, since he knew where to find him. But the bond had to have broken since Rowan was suffering rejection sickness at the start. It seems that in this world, a person can have more than one fated mate, but only one true fated mate. 🤷♀️
🤔 It's made clear that Rowan could have left if he wanted to—that Kieran wasn’t holding him prisoner. Yet, the line, "We both knew what happened to mated pairs who separated—the physical agony, the hollow emptiness that would haunt us both," raises the question: Was there ever really a choice, even if it was offered?
At 78%, Rowan said the healer confirmed his pregnancy. At 88%, the healer actually confirms his pregnancy.
Some Repetition: 90%:I looked at each of them in turn—Elias with his quiet strength, Theo with his easy smile, Sawyer with his gentle wisdom, Luca with his cautious curiosity, and Nadia with her fierce protectiveness. (This was when Rowan first met them, and didn't know them yet.)
93%:Elias with his quiet strength, Sawyer with his gentle healing hands, Nadia with her fierce protectiveness, and even Luca, who had gone from suspicious to stubbornly loyal once he'd seen me stand up to Callan. (Except Luca wasn't even there when Rowan stood up to Callan.)
In sum, give this a try if you want an easy read and aren't expecting much. It's a sweet story that doesn't strain the brain, but it won't be remembered for long.
This was a sweet story of finding his strength with an alpha that wouldn't give up on him. I lived the strength in Rowan. He was sweet, hurt, and had lived through a horror no omega should. The character, Kieran, was strong, a leader, and focused on Rowan and helping him see what a wonderful, strong person he is. I enjoyed the way they helped each other by growing and loving each other as only true mates can.
probably written by AI or chat GPT. They bond by knotting then next day there’s constant references to a bite that didn’t happen. Things repeating constantly slightly different. After reading a few books from this “author” I’m pretty sure they were computer generated. Also really didn’t like how he begged and cried for heat help then accused the alpha of taking advantage of him.
It’s a cute comforting read I just wish it hadn’t jumped forward past what could have been a great confrontation between the past and future so to say without writing any spoilers.
Just a cute, fun read that introduces a pack that is tight and likes each other. Since it is so short, I can't say much besides I like the world building, and there is a different take on the 'bonding' part of the omegaverse, which I enjoyed reading about. Overall, fun and sweet.
This book has everything you could want. A bit of action, drama, and love. Rowan and Kieran story is a real good read. Loved the characters and the plot. I needed a feel good book and this was perfect. So give it a try!
It’s quick and cute with some irritating parts. But it’s a good read. I liked how they showed him standing on his feet at the end. The ending was very rushed.
I needed some fluff and a rejected mate finding the love of his life, so this checked off all the boxes. It was a quick read and so sweet. I love a "fella in distress" book. Excited to read more from this author!
