Absolutely Divine!
Book three is centered around Deacon "Deke" Williams, another integral member of the Knight Tactical team. He is navigating trying to parent his teenage son DJ, who is surly and unruly. DJ is also facing his struggles, relocating to cold, snowy Northern California from sunny, warm Florida, with a father who was always absent either on military deployment or on assignment to special ops. A mother who can no longer deal with him. His after-school tutor Jade is kind and understanding, but she is under some type of strain. Deke wants to be protective and get to the bottom of what's troubling her, but she continues to refuse his offers of assistance. Finally relenting when the stalking and threatening messages become more frequent, Jade worries that her past, which she has tried so hard to erase, will come back to haunt her.
Not as intense or dramatic as the two previous books, it was still enjoyable and entertaining. Deke, his son, and Jade all try to navigate their own set of issues while coming to terms with the reality of their newfound insights into what family should be. Hints of humor among the other tactical team members as they plan a birthday party for a six-year-old who keeps changing the party theme. Group chats about everyday mundane things also give a light-hearted vibe, adding a more human element to the highly trained former SEAL team members. Another engrossing and great read.

Lots of action!
Jade had a painful past full of shame, and Deke struggled to connect with his son DJ. I enjoyed how God used Jade’s past for good, and how DJ had his own role in the story. There were threats from unknown sources, surprises and the humour of the party planning/glitter. It was a great read!

Another must read
I cannot praise these Edie James books enough.
Such clever twists and turns. Amazing characters that you almost feel are family.

I enjoyed Fierce Hope as it contains suspense, a mystery, humor with a lot of glitter, and great characters. Deke struggles with how to connect with his teenage son DJ, and Jade has secrets and a painful history. Great read.

This book is a very entertaining suspense filled, action story with great characters and a clean romance. The Christian message is lightly woven through the story. I really enjoyed it!

a bit slow to start
I almost didn’t finish reading but glad I did. Thought it was boring at first. Can’t say I saw the end coming. Interesting read all the same
