100 Ghost Stories That Will Lead to My Own Death Vol. 4

Rate this book
A horse appearing in the dead of night; a woman who rants and raves; a police officer who is keeping an eye on Yuma’s room… the mysteries just keep piling on. Yuma’s only solace is Hina, who continues to supply him with stories. Sometimes, however, the spirits just want to repay a kindness, or reassure a loved one… which is way less scary than what Yuma is going through?!

As we move forward with each story, it starts getting creepier and interesting and my heart hurts for Yuuma(that poor kid!).

Since I rated the 1st 3 all 5 stars if there was a higher rating than 5 then this volume deserves a higher one. So far the creepiest volume in terms of stories as well as Yuma’s “family life.”

What is WRONG with Yuma's family? (Or what is WRONG with Yuma? Honestly, a lot of sketchy things are happening around him.) Are the ghosts being summoned to take vengeance on his family? Is Hina a ghost? Is there more to Umakin (his stuffy)? I still don't have answers about the Horse!

Alright, my official favorite ghost story was in this volume. 'The Dark Village.' I already have a phobia of being eaten by moths (thank you, Phantoms by Dean Koontz) and now I got to see that phobia brought to life in glorious drawings. *shudder* It was perfect and it was horrifying and I want to print those panels to hang on my wall.

Most of the other stories were interesting. I liked 'Ghost Extermination' a lot. Could you imagine if you could see ghosts and used those powers to straight-up dismember them? 'Happy Birthday' and 'Leaving the Mountain' were both in similar veins of sad. 'Blink of an Eye' was awful; eye injuries give me the willies and that was totally willy-inducing. 'Defiled' was just crazy funny, like, really Grandpa? That was all you could think of to get rid of your family? 'Demon Worship' deserves a campy straight-to-DVD adaptation.

I'm invested. I have to know what happens. 4/5

Historias 9 y 10 terminadas.
