This was a cute simple book. I was given the audiobook from the Narrator Kristen Saburn. And this book came at just the perfect time. I finished a big fantasy book and this was a great palate cleanser. It is also a unique book. Each chapter is about 30sec-2 mins long. Listening felt like reading a picture book with no pictures. The dialogue was short and to the point, very little description. Even with this unique way of telling a story I still enjoyed it. I also kept thinking wouldn’t make a great fantasy or steam punk romance adventure. It was fun and I could picture reading more details even though those details are not in the book. I would recommend this book to those that might need a short reprieve between thick books, or anyone who likes short quick reads with a simple plot line.
This short story is in third person and just not the story for me. The concept for this short story could have been fantastic. Instead it was just so disjointed and the third party perspective was just not engaging enough. It just got so confusing at times and it was extremely hard to keep track of what was going on or to even keep up with the story. If the story had been a little bit longer I believe the story could have been fleshed out more and the pacing and flow of the story would have been much better. In the end I just can’t recommend this story. My time was ultimately wasted and I could have spent it reading something that I would have thoroughly enjoyed.
First the Narrator sounds like a young child, the spacing btw chapters is way to long too. The concept was interesting and could have been good, but was poorly done. I would NOT recommend this Audible short story!
