Stalker is the 3rd book in the Legacy of Kings series and follows
Cassandra Penticoff, Prosecuting Attorney and Wilder Blackwell. He's one of 3 brothers that own the Blackwell Group and are known as the kings of virtual reality games. While it's part of a series it can be read as a standalone but to get the overall picture I highly recommend reading them in order. Cassandra and Wilder's path cross when he saves her and they end up having a night of uninhibited sex. Months later she's given an assignment to find any indiscretion on the Blackwell brothers.
I found this one darker than the others. It was intense, heart pounding, mysterious and dangerous. Both have a darkness within that adds to their pull towards the other. What happens when right and wrong becomes blurred? Can they survive when all is said and done?

Stalker is the third and final book in the Legacy of Kings series but can be read as a standalone. It includes spankings and rough, intense sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book. The story is interconnected with characters from the previous books making appearance and contributing to the story to enhance it. This is Wilder and Cassandra story which is told from a dual point of view. Sinful. Dangerous. Decadent. Dirty. Twisted. Dark. A fast paced, thrilling and gripping read. Hang on to your kindle and prepare yourself for this tantalizing rollercoaster ride of healing, tension, longing and emotions and follow along as these two unlikely individuals fall in love with each other.
An exquisitely written story with world building characters and a fascinating and complex storyline that grabs your attention from the beginning and keeps you hooked and on the edge of your seat and turning the pages with it's pulse-pounding suspense, high-octane action and non-stop twists and turns. This book got me in my feelings the connection between these two characters are off the charts. Suck in a deep and released it slowly. Wow just wow is all that I can say about this addition to the series. Cassandra is a prosecuting attorney in an abusive relationship. One night she walked in on her fiance cheating on her and ended things. But he won't let her go and was assaulting her one night outside of their building and Wilder Blackwell, brother and one third owner of Blackwell Group came to her rescue. She took off in his car and two ended spending one night engaging in mind-blowing sex and unbridled passion something that she was missing from her relationship with her ex-fiance. They didn't exchanged names or numbers. It was only meant to be for night with two strangers finding comfort in each other arms.
Fast forward, several months later she was task with investigating the Blackwell Group and it's three owner, the Blackwell brothers as well as the secret Obsidian Society and gather information at any means necessary. He doesn't tell her why he wants this information that will bring down the organization even if it means breaking the law. He's withhold information from her regarding them. Cassandra is a good candidate that will not any problem getting into the Obsidian Society that was one the reason why he picked her for the job because of her side job. Wilder is deranged, psychotic, broken and unhinged. Wilder has a penance for vengeance and darkness just like his other brothers. He believes that he's unlovable and that there's no in world who's up for the task or could give him what his brother's have. There's a darkness burning inside of Cassie that makes her the perfect match for Wilder. Her ex wants her back and is using blackmail and threats to get his way, threatening to destroy her career the knowledge of her second job, but she refuses to bend. But she also has dirt on him too and wondering if she should use it to get him off her back.
Wilder and Cassandra can't seems to get that night out of their heads. Things heats up with her in his domain. He tries using restraint and not indulging in what he truly wants. So he stalked her. Watched her. Took what he believed was his. Claim her. Protect her. And fixing any problem that she has or threaten to get in his way of owning his lady butterfly. These two were a matched made in darkness and sin. Their chemistry were electrifying, magnetic and carnal. But their love story wasn't painted in flowers but pain, drama, and bloodshed. Because of the brother's past. Wilder was able remember was things that will help with their father and the three must go on a hunt after the patriarch Blackwell for their final vengeance. This book demands to be read and I highly recommend it for lovers of dark and twisted romance.

My heart was in my throat, I kept forgetting to breathe, AND I was up WAY too late because I just could NOT stop listening to this dark, so dark, SO different, romantic suspense THRILLER! Every aspect is perfection! The premise, uniquely different from others of the genre! The world of competitive gaming so foreign to me, yet not an issue when you have a gifted author that leaves no question unanswered, AND does so in a way that beautifully enhances the story! The characters beautifully human, naturally flawed and spanning the complete spectrum of human nature! As in life, there were some I instantly embraced, some whose motives I had serious doubts about, and some I just absolutely loathed! I will have to stay hush on their identities to avoid spoilers. I will say I was rooting hard for Cassandra and Wilder! I loved her strength, moxie and SASS, and Wilder … well no spoilers, listen and see if he doesn’t capture your heart as well! I can also say that as the story developed and played out, my initial impressions were cemented on a few and changed on others, keeping me not only entertained, but fully engaged and wondering exactly who the ne’er-do-well might really be! Did I guess? Uh… no. Was this a fitting conclusion to a magnificent series? YES! I really loved how everything played out and I LOVED the reveal! I also really loved the emotion and realistic “feel” of this performance! Absolutely STUNNING! Wilder Blackwell is the last brother from the Obsidian Society. He saved Cassandra from her ex. One hot night of sex and he left his Lady Butterfly. Cass’s cheating ex is still trying to get her back even with a little blackmail. But Cass isn’t going to fall for it. Her boss, however, wants her to find out about the Obsidian Society. He doesn’t care how she gets into the group. But there is something he isn’t telling her. Wilder doesn’t plan to fall like his brothers. There is no woman that can love him or is there? I love that Cass and Wilder’s first encounter was a while ago. We learn more about her and even what her side job was. Now her getting into the game won’t be a shock. But nothing is simple. I do like that Wilder is restraining himself. But he is hiding something. Things start to unravel about what Wilder heard and saw on that fateful night with his parents. I am surprised that the boys got through. Then something shocking happens. I thought I knew but nope. The brothers band together for one last hunt. This one has so many emotions running through. Stay on your toes with this one.

Fate is a fickle thing!
I feel for Carmella as she meets her fiancé at his office for a date, only to discover him indisposed with his elder, married, female boss. To say what comes next is totally unexpected as her now ex fiancé threatens to expose Carmella’s side job while becoming aggressive with Carmella. Until she is saved by Wilder, a knight in not so shining armor who does some damage of his own to the ex. What follows is a casual evening of drinks at a bar and an even more intense night of passion. They never exchange info to meet up again, despite their remembering the night with longing. When Carmella’s boss asks her to investigate the Blackwell Group to find out about the secret Obsidian Society and more importantly, if the Wilder men take after their imprisoned father, she really can’t say no. When Wilder discovers that his Lady Butterfly is none other than the woman he can’t forget, despite knowing what she is after. Will the two be able to find their happily ever after or will the serial killer ruin everything? You have to read to find out and don’t expect to put the book down until you turn the last page.

Two main characters who have a darkness within, learning to enjoy each other’s desires
I thoroughly enjoyed this the third book in the Legacy of Kings series although each of the books stand on their own and can be read without having to read the previous books in this series.
Wilder and Cassie are the main characters and you will enjoy reading about the interaction between this couple and the way they interact with each other is so wonderfully detailed within these pages and as the story progresses you will soon see the way in which they are so well suited to each other, they fulfil each other’s needs and this is detailed in the opposites within each other’s natures.
The story is filled with action and suspense, drama that is dark and erotic it will hold you riveted within its pages and guarantee that you will not be able to put this book down until you reach the last page and the story is fulfilled.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Darkness finds darkness

Oh my, this is a dark one. Our FMC is an ambitious lawyer and is a great prosecutor. She has a second job that is a dark secret. He is darkness and has taste for vengeance for those women and children that are terrorized and abused by the scum of the earth. Their souls come together one night when Cass’s ex-fiancé attacks her and Wilder intervenes. Their night continues filled with lust and heat. Cass’s ex threatens to expose her kinkier side to the higher ups in the DA’s office, should she expose the dirt she has on him. Their lives are heading for an explosive joining of their minds and souls. She becomes involved in an investigation of the Blackwell group and the Obsidian Society. They are the creators of the Dark Night Games. There is also the secret Obsidian Society that they run. When these two characters come together there is no stopping the heat. Please read the trigger warnings before you read. Otherwise enjoy this steamy, hot juicy book!

This book was exactly what I look for in a dark romance. It was spot on and had all my favorite naughty dark things. I seriously couldn't get enough. The writing is great. There wasn't just spice but the plot and suspense were so good. This is the third book in the series and my favorite. (Can be read as a standalone.)

Cassie is a strong independent prosecutor. I love her character. She has darkness of her own and a secret.

Wilder is wild! He is a stalker and unaliver, but you know the good kind that goes after the nasty bad guys who go after women and children.

They meet by chance when Cassie's fiance is hurting her, Wilder intervenes and they end up having a wild night together. Their chemistry is off the charts.

They don't see each other again for a few months until Cassie is sent to investigate his company and things start to get interesting.

This book was intense please check your triggers.

…“I could only hope we’d both survive.” Review Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars - Enjoyed the circling between Wilder and Cassandra, and it seems that Wilder could not help himself when he was around her, wanting what he thought was best for her, but not being able to deny himself the pleasure when he was with her. I do wish there was more to the Obsidian Society hunt, though, and that the showdown between the Blackwell patriarch and his sons would have been described, because I would have loved to have known how it went down. All in all, a fitting end to the Legacy of Kings series!

While part of a series, it can be read standalone, though reading in order is recommended for full context. The book was less satisfying as a series finale but still decent. A 3.5 star read for me.

This is the third in the Legacy of Kings series and wow, it certainly doesn't disappoint. Cassandra Penticoff, a prosecuting attorney, is asked to investigate the Blackwell brothers by her boss. What she discovers is a man who reaches her inner, darkest desires. Stalked by Wilder, she can't resist him but her desires conflict with her role as an attorney. With Cassandra becoming a target, more secrets being unearthed and the memories of Wilder of that awful night and what happened after coming to light, they will both have to make decisions about their future. This book has so many twists and turns. Dark, hot, steamy and jam-packed with everything you can expect from a book by Piper Stone, and more, I couldn't put it down. Another fantastic story by Piper.

Bright Light!

Of the three books in this series, I think this one is my favorite. Wilder seem to have suffered the most of the three brothers,but then they all did,he was the one who believed he didn't deserve love and happiness like his brothers Xander and Zack found.Cass was attorney who was on the right path but she also had a hidden secret and her ex threatened to use it if she exposed him.Wilder was being Wilder and came into her life when David was threatening her.This story was gorey, dark and intense but Cassie didn't give up,she stayed true to her life and fought for Wilder,his Lady Butterfly,his light!

Wow, is this one intense! The third brother in this saga, Wilder (aka Stalker) meets a woman, Cassandra, who has dark depths that she tries to cancel out by being an attorney who prosecutes the worst criminals. There is instant heat when Wilder saves her from an attack from her ex. But she is taxed with investigating Wilder and his brothers. Will either one be able to trust the other, especially when an old terror arises to threaten her life?

This novel is the dark side, with a strong, independent woman and a possessive, protective man. There is a lot of graphic violence and plenty of steam.

I have come to love the Blackwell brothers because they are survivors. The action in this story begins at the first paragraph and continues throughout. Suspense is a constant factor that added to my desire to finish the story. Wilder and Cassandra are two strong individuals who found the people who understood and made them whole. It’s a great story that is worth reading. I think Christopher should have his own story because it seems like there is more to him than what appears on the surface.

This is the first book by Piper Stone that I’ve read and I’m thoroughly impressed and will definitely read her other books! The dark spice was very well written and the story was just amazing. I liked that the main characters had a steamy encounter much earlier and then the development, on different sides of the law but both have a darkness inside of them and they fit together so perfectly. They are so similar in their stubbornness which while in the way, they manage to work through. I really recommend this book! It was so good!

Wilder?? I cannot begin to tell you how eager I was for his story to come, and it was so freaking worth it! I’m pretty sure he’s my favorite, but I love them all. His Lady Butterfly 🦋 . Cassandra was a force on her own, but dang she got what she had been missing, and it was glorious! Stone has knocked it out of the park with this series, absolutely amazing! Suspense and action, sultry and hot, dark and gritty, obsessive and protective, all in one package with a pretty bow. A. Freaking. Plus!.

Each book in this series gets better and better. I loved Wilder & Cassie! I loved how their paths kept crossing and they were both playing a game of cat and mouse. They are perfect for each other and both desire the darkness. This book brings it all together and finally answers the questions. It was suspenseful, dramatic, dark, and steamy! I highly recommend this series if you like dark romances.

Then Cassie's boss asks her to investigate the Blackwell group and the Obsidian Society, and she finds out that Wilder is one of the CEOs of the group. Wilder has a horrific backstory that has had a major effect on his life. Will Cassie be able to cope with Wilder's dark desires?.

Darkness Draws

The darkness between Cassandra and Wilder draws them together and what blossoms is a love so intense that have your heart pounding. It was a dark story with characters who are somewhat broken and navigating through feelings that are new and uncertain. Enticing and captivating, this was a very entertaining story to read.

I don't know how the author does it, unless deep down she understands that most of us have dark tendencies, we just learn to suppress them. She weaves a seductive tale that draws you in with characters and situations that tittilate and excite. Love the characters and the world building. It's fast paced and full of action and adventure. It's a great read.

Stalker is a suspenseful, romance book that is page turning. I was obsessed reading this book by Piper because the storyline itself is AMAZING that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time you are reading the book.

This is the darkest of the three books and also the most compelling. Cassie and Wilder both have dark sides and finding each other sets off a series of events that end the nightmare that is the brother’s father. It is a very compelling story with not much light but it is so good.
