Λίγο πριν τα 36α γενέθλιά της, η Αυγή, μια εκκολαπτόμενη συγγραφέας, αποφασίζει να αφήσει τη ζωή της στο Λονδίνο και να γυρίσει στην Ελλάδα, με σκοπό να γράψει το πρώτο της μυθιστόρημα. Όταν γνωρίζει τον Σταύρο, έναν κρουπιέρη, όλα μοιάζουν εφικτά: η Τύχη είναι με το μέρος της, η Αγάπη, η Έμπνευση.
Παρόλ’ αυτά, και οι δύο κρύβουν το αληθινό τους πρόσωπο πίσω από ένα τείχος μυστικών. Σε κάθε στροφή της ρουλέτας και οι δύο στοιχηματίζουν στον κρυφό εαυτό του άλλου, πειραματίζοντας την ίδια τους την ύπαρξη και τζογάροντας επικίνδυνα.

About the author

Argiro studied English and Philosophy at the University of North London, England and has worked as a literary critic on Athens newspaper Eleftherotypia for ten years (2000- 2010). She has, also, published numerous articles on literature and culture. She is the author of five books of fiction and two books of poetry. Her latest book “White Revenge” was shortlisted for the “Anagnostis” (“Reader”) Literary Prize, one of the most distinguished prizes in Greece. She has translated a number of novels including writers as Henry James and Virginia Woolf. She’s currently working as a translator for different publishing houses in Greece. She has been a member of the Committee for the National Translation Prize for the years (2001-2004) and (2008-2012) and has taught creative writing at EKEBI (National Book Centre). She is a co-editor of bookpress.gr , one of the most well known sites for books in Greece.

I honestly did not believe that I would enjoy a novel about casino life so much. To be precise, as a woman, I did not think that women with that kind of addiction (gambling) could be so familiar to the rest of us. The power play between two gamblers, that on the same time are lovers, is intriguing and in a way makes us think about all kind of fixations one might have and explore the reasons behind it. I really loved the pace of Argiro’s writing, loved her narration style. Loved it!

I recently finished All On Zero, and honestly, I didn’t expect it to pull me in the way it did. The story mixes romance, risk, and that casino-style tension where every choice feels like a spin of the wheel. It’s not just about gambling — it’s about the psychology behind it: anticipation, trust, and the feeling of putting something on the line, whether it’s money or emotions.
