I'm an avid fan of mystery stories. I started reading Agatha Christie novels at an early age. My favourite fiction detective is Poirot, I love his fussy ways and his attention to small details. I love the TV series, 'Murder She Wrote' and have watched every episode. I like working out who the killer is, and what the clues are.
I live near Leeds, Yorkshire, which is in the north of England. My two daughters live with me and they are understanding about my passion for mystery shows! I've now discovered 'Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries'.
I've been wanting to write my own mystery stories for years - and now I finally have.
This boxed set will give you a good start at getting to know Grace and Frankie. They go to storage unit sales to fill their shop and Grace can see ghosts so one never fails to come home with her. These are exciting paranormal mysteries!
I've read and reviewed all of these books individually if you would like to read my opinion. They are all interesting and you will be hooked after one! Gillian Larkin and her books never disappoint.
Storage Ghost Mysteries - The Box Set (Storage Ghost Mystery #1-5) by Gillian Larkin is a great collection of short story mysteries that revolve around ghosts. They are cozy mysteries so no need to hide! They have a helper to solve the mystery of their death if she wants to or not! Humor, mystery, and a little suspense rolled in for a lot of fun.

This is a nice little collection of cozy type mysteries--not necessarily murder mysteries, but about ghosts who can't rest without solving a problem before they go, and revolve around one protagonist as a series. The idea of having ghosts attached to things is not exactly novel, but the idea of storage locker ghosts certainly is! It's a delightful change from the unlikely happenings in other books where murders just seem to "happen" around the protagonist. At least with these, you have a more likely scenario where the heroine is "guided" to certain storage lockers in order to find her mystery. They are one by one fairly short and chronological, and there is also an underlying and ongoing story or two. The series is well written, with only a few editing issues, and the heroine is likable, though she is a somewhat tepid individual who is just starting to find herself and develop some backbone. I see her developing nicely in future books as a pleasant and likable heroine. I am looking forward to reading more of these!
This is a really entertaining series and this collection is the way to start it off right. It contains the first 5 stories in the series which introduces the characters and the unique plot premise of ghosts who are attached to their earthly possessions until some bit of unfinished business can be resolved releasing them to journey on to their great reward.
Buying the set is definitely the economical choice to get the whole story!
Grace sees spirits. She's a lovely lady with a jerk of a brother, just trying to make a go of their parent's second hand shop. Grace can see and talk to Pearl, but Frankie isn't aware of them. With Pearls help Grace helps souls cross over and enables the shop to turn a profit. Finely crafted this series sucked me right in and paranormal is not my favourite genre.
I like these books because even though they are a series you can read one and know just what is going on. The characters are written so well that you feel like you know them. I loved Pearl. She is a sassy gold hearted ghost that made me laugh. Great book to take to the beach
This was very good. This is my first experience with Gillian. I will be reading more of her works. I read this collection in one day and two hours. Stayed up till 3 am. Thanks for this Gillian. Ruby Jeanne
