Illustrations with transparent overlays and brief text describe the physical characteristics, life cycle, habits, and various species of frogs, as well as presenting several related amphibians
This book has excellent illustrations with wonderful transparent pages throughout. The information is very basic (like pre-k through 1st grade basic) but my kids continue to look through/read this book. They LOVE it.
We've liked all of the First Discovery Books with the exception of one or two.
Not as good as Turtles and Snails but an interesting read. The book shows the frog skeleton. Toads are in here too although not listed in the title. There are several good pages on tadpoles which is part of the frog life cycle because frogs are amphibians. You would think the tadpoles alone are worth a five star review you might be right lol.
I love this series. Some of them are very hard to find and command a high price. The pictures are clear and bright and the "clear pages" add interest. They are Europeans based, so some of the species pictures are not native but the information is sound. Recommended, if you can find them!
This book is very interesting, and it talks about many fun facts about frogs. They played around with the formatting of the book and the pages, making it fun to learn about frogs.
