Werewolf’s Heartsong: A Steamy Alpha Werewolf Romance

Rate this book
Werewolf’s Heartsong
The LCD screen in the arena showed pictures of the seven fighters in the Alpha Class. There I was, with my new name. I looked strong, and my wolf was absolutely gorgeous. I looked to where my sister was sitting and she and the rest of her posse had jealous fury on their faces. I then look up to where my parents are and they’re glaring at my picture, if looks alone could set shit on fire.

I smirk at them then I turn away to face my opponent, everything else falling away but what was here on this platform. I take my skirt and cardigan off. Standing in just my tank and capris, I move into a fighting position and wait for the signal to start — To fight, to prove, and not hide myself anymore. This was going to be fun. I thought, a grin on my face. *Mature Audience Contains mature language, s*x, abuse and violence*

There’s a lot of errors that need to be fixed in the books in this series. Especially when it comes to the names and titles and changes in character dialogues. A lot of repetition in the chapters in characters POV’s. This series definitely needs to be edited. But the storyline and the characters are still good despite the obvious flaws in the writing. I sincerely hope the author fixes these issues. Because the story itself is good… I’ll give it a 3 star… I’ll change it to 5 star if the author ever corrects these flaws.

Werewolf’s Heartsong (Werewolf’s Heartsong Series Book 2)

Werewolf’s Heartsong (Werewolf’s Heartsong Series Book 2) ~~ I read this book on Kindle and also listened on Audible, and this second book really builds on everything that started in the first book. The arena challenges become even more intense, and the pack politics begin getting much more complicated.

Our main character continues proving that she’s stronger than everyone expected. I really enjoyed watching her confidence grow as she begins to understand her wolf and her abilities better. She’s no longer just trying to survive — she’s trying to claim her place among the strongest wolves in the pack hierarchy.

The relationship with the Alpha male becomes even more emotional in this book. The mate bond between them grows stronger, but at the same time outside pressures keep pushing them apart. There’s jealousy, rival wolves trying to sabotage them, and secrets that still haven’t been revealed.

One thing I loved about this book was the balance between action and romance. The arena fights are brutal and exciting, but the emotional moments between the characters really deepen the story.

The Audible narrator once again does an amazing job bringing the characters to life. You can really hear the intensity of the Alpha’s dominance and the determination in the heroine’s voice during the most dramatic moments.

By the end of this book the stakes are definitely higher. Enemies are starting to reveal themselves, alliances are shifting, and it’s clear that something much bigger is happening behind the scenes.

I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself — you won’t regret it.

Better and better!!

This story jumped right in from the ending of book one. No time jumps just straight from where it left off.

**SPOILERS**
Alora is finally given her second chance mate and is walking go with confidence into the roll the moon goddess gave her. She is embracing who she was always meant to be while being showered in the love she has been missing with her “real” family. The ending of this book leaves you guessing in what will happen next and if any new bonds will be made when new members of the family enter the story.

The plot thickens and you can tell an epic battle is being prepared for.

Excited for the third installment and to see where Alora and her group go from here.

Outside of needing some minor grammar and spelling revisions, I don't have much to criticize on this story. There are some POV changes that need to be noted and marked as well, but overall was a good story. A sudden change of POV without saying it had me pausing to figure out who was the dominant POV at times.

It is very well-written and brings a whole new perspective on abuse and how Alora was able to rise above it and become a force to be reckoned with. This second installment brought around more character developments and changes. I loved being able to follow the story and see how each character brought their own POV and feelings to the front. The intricate details and emotional depth make this a truly captivating read.

Fabulous

Normally I am not at all into vampire stories, but wow did this first story capture me so, that I read it straight through and once done downloaded this one as well. So two stories are finished, both equally good and as soon as I press enter here, I will download the third story probably reading through the night, who needs sleep anyways? But, really, me loving vampire stories that day I did not see coming. This one simply has it all: great storyline, great characters, great visuals through well written text, simplified captivating!!!!
Could not give any less than all the five stars available. Now, the third story thank you very much.

Absolutely loved Book 2 of Werewolf Heart Song!

The character development in this sequel was phenomenal! I was completely hooked watching their story unfold—it felt so natural and powerful. The way the author deepened the bond between the main characters made their relationship feel authentic and emotionally satisfying. I especially loved how she began building her clan—strong, determined, and with so much heart. It added another rich layer to the story and made me even more invested in where this series is headed. Can’t wait for the next one!

riveting! couldn’t put it down

This series is one of the most unique supernatural series I’ve read. I love when a book can make you laugh, cry and hold your breath all at the same time. I love this world Angie created. Alora is such a strong shifter. Love all the characters even the evil ones. Can’t wait to read the next book. So many twists and turns. I would highly recommend this book/series to all my book friends. I’m always afraid to leave spoilers. I don’t feel like I’m doing this series justice.

werewolf’s heart song

Whilst I am enjoying these books, and I am, they seem a little lacking in plot. I have finished the first two and there doesn’t seem to be any building jeopardy, just a bit of “slutshaming”. The characters are likeable but there is an awful of time and space given over to world building.

There are errors in consistent spelling of names, sometimes the wrong names are used for characters and the writing in places can be a little substandard.

But as a work of fiction it is enjoyable. I hope book 3 has a clearer story arc

👍🏼👍🏼

I am really enjoying this story despite formatting and a noticeable amount of grammatical errors; which is odd for me because that would normally lead to me throwing into the DNF pile but I like the story enough that to see flaws only register as something that could be make these books significantly better, or cleaner I should say because the story and characters are solid, when fixed.

Great Read

This is the second book in the series, and it was just as good as the first. A quick read, though. This book could have been put together to make one whole book vs. three individual books. All in all, I can't wait for the third book and find out the ending! POV's were better stated in this book than the first.

The basic story line is pretty good, and I can't say I didn't enjoy it. However, there are pages and pages of gratuitous sex (which I skipped). The worst part is the grammar, spelling and punctuation. The author has absolutely no concept of spelling. She wasn't even consistent with the misspellings. Even simple words like heal vs. heel were wrong.

LIGHT HEARTED WITH WHIMSY

Continues to keep my interest in primary plot. Interactions between characters increase enjoyment as well as laughter. Intimacy chapters in good taste with no vulgarity. Keeps enjoyment levels high! Relationship dynamics are adaptable to anyone human as well as fictional characters!

Still stolen work from another author!

This series has been stolen from another author who published this story first, years ago on a pay by chapter website. I cannot believe the audacity Ms McMillon has in attempting to pass off this story as her own. Not only that but is profiting from the theft as well. Shameful!

great plot

Again this book has a great plot and characters. I am seriously hooked on the story. While the identification of whose pov we are reading in better than the first book it is still inconsistent, there are still some grammatical errors and the books ends in a very odd place, making it feel incomplete. This dropped it from 5 to 3 stars for me.

Epic

Love this 2nd book. Damien and Alora ❤️ and all the other character arcs are well written and setting up the packs, clans, family and friends. There is magical and ethereal ancient plots and historical twists. Vampires Werewolves Witches and Hybrids. Looking forward to the next edition xx

The author really improved her writing for this second book of the series, but I still feel like that she is telling from too many persepectives. It's still very annoying to read a lot of repetitions. Even though I do believe some of the insights are very intriguing to get to know.

Engaging story

Thus story is jyst as engaging as the first, and had less editing errors. Some editing would still be useful to ensure POV is clear and consistently identified. It is also jarring that this is labeled as book 2, but it starts at chapu51.

One of my favorites

Plot-wise, this is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me. There are a lot of spelling, grammar, and information mistakes. Some things do not match what was said in the first book, but they are smaller things. Overall, it’s a great book and was still easy for me to understand.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really am enjoying this series. The editing was better in this book. The only complaint I have is when characters use curse words they aren't spelled out (example sh*t). Either curse fully or leave it out.

What a fate

Heartsong Yes this series definitely plays on your heart. How a very sad and abusive upbringing Alora still supersedes studies and excel! Love and fate will always prevail! Great read

better editing

This book is much better than the first one. There are still a few missing details, but overall, it’s a good read. It’s nice to have a healing experience for the main characters.
Thanks for the escape.❤️

There are errors and doubled chapters, is like to offer to help the author edit this to have a more consistent flow because the story is great. I would also love to find a playlist based on the songs in this series

much better than the first

The story line is still good, a bit predictable m, but still a take I’ve never seen from paranormal fiction. Editing is much better, but could use another once over.

Nice to read again.

I have paid to read this before. I give it 3 1/2stars. I love the story line. Still needs quite a bit of editing but I can't wait to read the rest of it.
