My name is Melissa Morgan, and I'm in the 6th grade. My cat isn't like other cats. He can walk, talk, and do homework. He's even going to star in his own TV commercial! Isn't that awesome? I hope he can help me, because I'm having trouble with my homework. To make things worse, a bully keeps making fun of me.
My Cat Ate My Homework is a funny fantasy that's entertaining for kids of all ages (great for reluctant readers!), and adults who secretly never grew up.

Could a talking cat really be selfless and help a girl struggling with her homework?
I thought about this for months before writing My Cat Ate My Homework. Cats are often described as being solitary and causing trouble (hanging from drapes, pushing things off tables)--but what if a talking cat was exactly like that but would do anything to help you?
I had a lot of fun writing this book. The girl in this story (Melissa) has a good heart and wants the best for everyone. She has a hard time deciding the right thing to do when it means she may fail a class. I appreciate what she goes through and love her courage.
And then there's the talking cat! I had an orange tabby once that refused to use the litter box and always wanted to be in the same room with me, but in his own corner. PJ (the talking cat) is loosely based on this. He's funny and brilliant! I love, love, love PJ!
I wrote this book for the same reason I write all of my books. I wrote it to teach my son values as he grows older. This one focuses on honesty. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Timothy David (My son's name is Zander Blaze. Our names are combined to create David Blaze.)
I chose this this book because I initially thought the title was catchy and that elementary grade students 3rd-6th would enjoy reading it. The book focuses on lying and cheating when it comes school work and the negative effects it could have. It's a fantasy book about a 6th grade student who desperately need help with her homework but was unable to get it. She then decided to turn in her test with answers that she had gotten from her friends talking cat. That decision led to her ending up in a math competition on live TV and the aftermath of that. I enjoyed the book overall and think a younger audience could learn from it.
I love this book I have it on every kindle in my house.🐈
I 👍 this book because it has a funny talking cat named Peanut Butter Jelly and he likes to be called PJ.I think he likes to be called PJ because he likes the PJ Masks.🐆🐈🐾.I like Peanut Butter Jelly because he is a little tabby cat.I like some tabby cats like PJ.So he is also very cute.He would always be cuter in color.I want you to make a bobcat book David Blaze.I am 7 years old and love Peanut Butter Jelly!🐈
I enjoyed this so much, it was a cute story with loveable characters. I won't be surprised if I end up reading the rest of the series and will definitely get my nephew on board with this as well.
I listened to this with my kids on a road trip with my kids. It kept my 2nd and 3rd graders entertained for 90-ish minutes. It was a cute storyline and had a good ending. This was their first audio book and it was a success.
