Hot and fun

I really enjoyed this collection of short, steamy stories. Each chapter introduces you to a new couple, and the scenes jump right into the heat without dragging things out. This makes for a really entertaining yet super fast read. The variety keeps things fresh, and even though I was left with the "wanting more" feelings from some of the couples, that is also what kept me turning the pages.
Definitely the kind of book you can pick up when you want something quick, exciting, and unapologetically exotic! If you're in the mood for a fun, sweaty, and spicy read that doesn't hold back, this one will definitely deliver 😉.

Another medioco story, guided by Ai. I like to listen to books as to read them from my kindle, the punctuation between these stories needs addressing, also when a new story starts, a full stop after the previous story ends, then after the title is important. especially as the computer ready does not realise a page break and when a chapter starts. You can happily be in one story then turn a page, break wind, blink , then you are already in the new story. Confusing.
i was looking forward to a new read it was the same old stuff, the year, the weather, the date, the pressure. then slide in a weak story. but it was interestimng listening to it.

I received this book to be an ARC reader for and boy what a ride it was (in the best way possible) This was my first book by this author and I’m hooked. 12 short, spicy stories. Quick to read each story so it’s great when you are short on time but want to get a read in and they are all different with different characters and fantasies. I loved all the spice but if you aren’t one to read or enjoy super spicy books then you may want to pass it up but if your like me and think spicier the better then hurry and grab your copy.

The book I received for review has 12 short stories. The full book I guess has 22. They are quick reads with smut and no real story, exactly as advertised. There are couples engaging very quickly into intimate encounters but with different settings and scenarios. I will have to go and read the other 10 stories that did not come with this ARC. Ummmm, amazing! Every single short story was 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ to the extreme with characters that were well written. I would have loved to see a few of the stories turned into something more in depth as a longer novela. There definitely room for expansion and character development here - so just my little push for the author to keep writing and maybe turn these into more! I’m obsessed with Cole from the #12 story!! 🥵🥵

Good quick spicy stories, each focus on a different pairing, one chapter each. Each of these spicy encounters focuses on a different forbidden fantasy or taboo. They are super quick erotica stories because they don't provide much background. It's not about getting to know the characters. It's about the forbidden fantasy, so each story isn't that deep. The spice level is high. Easy to pick you up the book, read a few short stories and set it down, and come back to it when desired. It's fun read for what it is.

This is not a novel romance book, so if that's what you are looking for, then this isn't it.

"22 Shades of Taboo: Erotica Short Stories" (2024) by Avalon Lust is a somewhat interesting set of tasteful short stories featuring sexual encounters that occur within a taboo scenario. There are stories of sex with a sibling-in-law, at a tattoo parlor, at a hair salon, while trapped in an elevator, and the like. The escapades are entertaining but not scintillating, and, as is so often the case, devoid of explicit mention of people of color. Still, recommended.

This was my first ARC read, 12 stories very quick to read, maybe a little too quick.
No build, no backstory just straight to scene. The stories were fine but I personally prefer more interaction between people.
