As a trainee primary school teacher I found this book really helpful and full of really great ideas that I plan to implement in my teaching - though I do feel it was more appropriate for year two than year 1/foundation. However, there were lots of great teaching techniques that can be generalised to all age groups and gave me lots of fun ideas to work with. It also helped me further develop my understanding of the Talk for Writing framework - pioneered by Pie Corbett - and how to teach fiction effectively using Corbett's techniques.
